Excellent place to take your vehicle for repairs! Nathan is in the "satisfaction" business, not the "rip-off" business like so many other mechanics. Highly recommended!

I was in the market for a used Prius and was hesitant to make a purchase before having it looked at by a mechanic. I called and asked if someone can take a look at a car I was interested in and they said to go ahead and take it in.
When I went in, Nathan took the time to look at the car and do a quick check of any issues. He happened to point out all the areas that he saw had been rebuilt. He gave me a lot of information about the vehicle and told me things to look out for in the future. I really appreciated all the tips he gave me. He was extremely helpful and seemed to be an honest and knowledgeable guy.
I ended up purchasing a different vehicle that didn't have all the issues the first vehicle had and would not hesitate to take my car in for service at Advanced Automotive Technology!

My jeep was in getting work on due it being rear-ended and when I picked it up my giant roof rack was missing. The owner claims zero responsibility and even likened it to shopping at Safeway and asked if I my car was stolen there if they would be responsible I said of course not but I also don't give Safeway my car keys and entrust them with my vehicle. He said that the rack was a personal belonging and they are not responsible for theft of personal belongings. He offered half the cost of replacement and said I needed to take responsibility for not asking that they park it inside their building. Bob the owners attitude was indifferent at best. I would never take any of my vehicles here again.

I am a believer in good customer service, and Carstar Bob delivered that. I had a problem,and they eventually fixed it with flying colors. Tonya is the best, and I will always think highly of her dedication to the customer. She is top notch!

I brought my Chevrolet Colorado here after a very large tree branch damaged the hood. Miss Tonya was very kind and was sure to schedule me in the closest appointment. My truck was done in two days and the work was flawless! I am very likely to recommend this place to others when it comes to auto repair. All the staff was very kind and excellent at communicating with their customers. I would disregard the review from the gentleman that posted it 3 years ago. He was having a rough day. I did not encounter any issues remotely similar to what he mentioned with the staff and or work done to my truck.

My work truck was broken into in November 2012, right in the middle of my busy season. Once Zurich/ Farmers got things rolling things started to fall into place pretty quick. I dropped the car off at Bjornabys Carstar in Federal Way with an appointment. Things went well at first. They called Enterprise rent a car for me and I was picked up by an Enterprise Agent. After that it was pretty sketchy. It took them 15 days to do some pretty simple repairs and didn't even complete the repairs. My steering column is still jacked up and they didn't even fix the main bracket that was broken for the stereo to be installed. During the 15 days, I called multiple times and the lady didn't seem to know who I was each time. At one point they told me they were done and so I got dropped off to pick up my truck. I got in the truck and my ignition was still jacked. They got someone to drive me home and I had to wait. They told me they had to get another part. I picked the truck up the second time and they told me they couldn't repair or replace the stereo bracket that was broken during the stereo theft. I scheduled an appointment with the stereo installers and brought it in. They told me, what I expected, that they couldn't install the stereo into nothing. They needed the bracket repaired and it was a body shop job. The body shop told me that the part was discontinued and that the stereo people would have an after market part to do the job. I decided that I was tired of waiting for Bjornabys and their excuses and went to the junk yard. I took some pictures of the bracket in my truck (what was left of it) and walked down the isle at the yard. I found the bracket in a tahoe. Even though mine was a Silverado it was the same bracket. I removed the bracket and installed it into my truck. I don"t know why a completely inexperienced "customer" had to do the job of Bjornabys Car Star in Federal Way. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. They cost me $300 in Rental cost because of the overage time they kept my truck and my truck is still not in the same shape as it was before the break in.
