I have been searching for a compitant, trustworthy mechanic for years now and I have finally found one I can trust! My search has brought me to many shaddy places along the way, I have been taken advantage of many times by other repair shops, you know the kind that tell you that you need brakes, a battery, and an alternator when you bring your car in for an oil change. I can assure you that this wont happen here at the Auto Depot. Frank and his crew are a great team of mechanics that you can trust and rely on, they are not the type of place that makes up phoney repairs to increase there revenue. There prices are reasonable and there attention to detail is great. I have been going there for years now and I am 100% satisfied.
I have also had body work done there as well, they are outstanding at matching your cars color, and making scratches dissapear. Some moron banged up my car in a hit and run a few months back and they were able to blend the color to a perfect match and take care of all the scratches. My car is 5 years old so I figured there would be some slight color/ sheen differance but there was none.

Ah, my first review! Someone hit my wife's car several weeks ago, so I brought it to Auto Depot after reading their Yelp reviews. Ellen and Frank were extremely communicative, friendly, and honest throughout the entire repair process. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of an auto body shop or mechanic.

This place is fabulous. I just moved to town and during my cross-country trek from LA, my car got bumped in a parking lot and no one left a note. I called Auto Depot as soon as I got to town and they were able to get me right in. The service was incredible. Friendly, upfront staff. Not only fixed my car through the insurance claim but also a handful of other things, like an oil change and brakes. They're an all-service shop, which is really helpful. They were also able to somehow get my deductible lowered, which was really awesome and unexpected.
My only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that I had also asked them to check my wipers and they forgot but that's really not a big deal. I'll call them and take it back in at some point, but really not a big deal.
Overall, I think I've found my new favorite body shop. I would highly recommend them.

We have a 2007 Saab and have had some bad luck the last few years-- one minor fender bender, one pretty serious accident, and another minor accident. We checked out a few different places in the area and my wife and I both decided we should try Auto Depot. We were not disappointed! The bumper looked like new and the paint was perfect.
After that first time we didn't hesitate to bring our car in again. They do excellent work and Frank is a friendly, honest, and very reliable guy. And my wife is very happy going in there on her own, knowing that she won't be condescended to or patronized.
The "check engine" light just lit up on our car yesterday and the car is sounding funny when I start it. We didn't know whether Auto Depot worked on that sort of thing- we've always just used them for body work. I just got off the phone with Frank-- he knew who I was right away and he said to bring it in first thing Monday (It's Friday today). I got off the phone and told my wife Frank could look at it. She said "Oh great! I feel better about it already." I agree 100%.

I just moved to a new neighborhood and saw that Auto Depot was not too far. The reviews were good so I called. I got an immediate answer, took it there and was driven back home. Frank called with an update within a couple of hours and fixed it one day early. He was courteous, professional and silenced the rattles from my car. I would definitely recommend him for car work.

I don't know anything about cars and I just moved to Roslindale. When my car needed a decent amount of work a couple months ago (brakes, muffler, A/C) I took it to the closest shop right down the street from my house. BIG mistake. Less than 2 months later and my brakes were completely shot. That's when I came on yelp looking for a better place. I brought my car to Auto Depot and Frank called me less than 24 hours later explaining exactly what was wrong (as expected, they did an incomplete job at place #1) and saying my car would be ready by the end of the day. I will definitely use Auto Depot in the future.

I bought a 150cc Vespa scooter in the Spring of 2008 and in the course of insuring it as a motorcycle my insurance company accidentally canceled the coverage on my regular car.
In order to re-gain coverage on my car my insurer required an inspection and the closest agent they recommended was Auto Depot.
I drove over there one day and walked up into the office. It turns out that the business was officially closed while they did inventory (and I think some staff were on vacation). Despite that, when they found out I needed an insurance inspection they grabbed the paperwork and a camera and took care of me. I was pleasently surprised that they did this while "closed" since I don't think inspections for insurance companies are a big money maker.
A few months later (and after dumping the vespa on a street one day thanks to a wet manhole cover) I brought the scooter to them to see if they could repair a couple of dents and a lot of paint scratches.
After taking some gentle ribbing about owing a scooter (I think some of the staff are serious motorcycle heads) they gave me a price estimate and told me it may take a few days of work since they'd have to custom match and mix the paint. At that point one of the owners offered to give me a ride back to Roslindale Village where I could easily walk or grab a bus back home to my house.
They were unable to get official Vespa paint so they used some sort of optical scan gun to read the colors and generate the info they needed to have a shop mix up a custom batch.
The end result was fantastic - except for some scratches on some chrome bits that I don't care about they fixed all the dents and matched the scooter paint *exactly* when repairing the body scratches. The final price was exactly what they had estimated as well - no surprises.
So in summary:
* They opened the shop just to perform an insurance inspection on my car
* An owner drove me to Rozzie Village after I dropped off my scooter
* They mixed custom paint when fixing the scooter and did great bodywork
* The paint/bodywork estimate was exactly what I ended up paying
Obviously this is just my $.02 but they've earned my loyalty and I'll be bringing the car back there some time to get some body panel scratches fixed.

Auto Depot in Roslindale is the Best ever for body work and mechanics! I've been going there for years. As a women you never know when you go into these shops what they're even talking about but they're honest and reasonable, very helpful. Frank, the owner, he just seems to get it when I say "you know that noise that does this thing!" I just feel so comfortable going there knowing I'm not getting taken. Trust me people you need a mechanic, body work this is where you want to go. If I ever leave MA I don't know what I'll do.

The right side of my black 2010 Vespa S50 scooter was beautifully restored by Auto Depot in a timely fashion for a reasonable price. I was extremely happy with my entire experience from the warm customer service to the seamless body work to the spot on estimate.

I scratched up and dented my door and brought my car to Auto Depot for an estimate. Frank was very straightforward about my options and what the costs would be. When I came back to pick up my car I was surprised to be charged LESS than the estimate. When does that ever happen?? Definitely where I will continue to go for car repairs!

I have been to these folks a number of times, they are the best! I can be paranoid around car repair folks because they could say anything but with Frank I totally trust him. I just know I am getting the truth, the prices are great, and they are all super nice, you really can't beat it. It is a pleasure to find someone like this you can trust. They repaired a huge amount of rust I had growing on the back of my car and it looks great. They've taken care of a number of other things too. Frank is a great communicator and lets you know what's happening and what it will cost and for expensive parts if you are strapped for cash he'll look for used parts. They've even finished jobs early and saved me on rentals. Can't say enough for these folks.

My boyfriend's car broke down and he asked me to find him a good mechanic. I came across Auto Depot inc on google and chose them because the previous reviews and they were close and we needed a mechanic that towed as well. My boyfriend is extremely picky so I was a little nervous at first because it's always nerve racking getting car repairs. Frank was the best though! He didn't have a tow but had a guy he referred. The tow guy even gave him a ride back home, which was nice. They got right on it that same day. He did a $1000 job for $400 less and the car's running like new. They definitely take good care of their clients and I would definitely recommend them! My boyfriends already talking about bringing my car there! Excellent service!!!

I have been bringing my cars to Frankie forever and my parents have been using him for even longer. Recently my car broke down and I was going to have service done closer to my house and the price kept going up, Frankie got the job done for a lot cheaper ($200 he saved me). No more shopping around or trying other places... This is it one stop. Great service!

Brought my car to Auto Depot after I got into an accident -- the mechanics were honest and straightforward about the repairs needed (new front fender & lights) and the cost of labor and parts (tailored to my budget.) They even brought it in for an inspection sticker as a courtesy! Friendly, personalized service. Would highly recommend.
