I am always amazed to meet Mercedes owners who live in Arlington, McLean, Great Falls or Vienna who have not been to Silver Star Motors...
I have taken my 2001 E320 to Silver Star for years ----- Peter and his gang have always done perfect work.
On my first visit, I noticed several customers from Germany. One lady told me to "never bring my Mercedes to any other service center" She was right....

We have been taking our cars to Silver Star Motors for 2 years now. Peter has always been honest & informs us not only of what our car needs, but what it doesn't need.
When the Mercedes dealer tried to sell us $4,900 worth of suspension work to the automatic system, one of his technicians (Mike) found that the problem was really much more simple, and we were out the door for less than $500. The issue was fixed, and the problem did not arise again. Mike also fixed the automatic feature on my windows, and set my clock for no extra charge.
It is rare to find an honest shop willing to treat the customer correctly versus making the most money they can. They have made us customers for life as far as we are concerned. As long as we own Mercedes, we will take our cars here. Their labor rate is VERY fair compared to the dealerships, and their honesty & attention to detail can't be beat.
We wouldn't take our car anywhere else.

i have been going to Silver Star Motors since 1986 and Peter Fuchs has been the owner that entire time. Without exception, the work has been completed with no problem, estimates are accurate and I think his charges are very reasonable. I know most of his mechanics and all are outstanding. Their knowledge of the cars is extensive and they diagnose the problem accurately. Today Mike noticed the smell of gas in my car and after removing the rear seat found there was gasoline on top of the gas tank around some connections. Of course I was seeing dollar signs, but Peter knew that Mercedes has issued a recall for that issue, printed out the information and gave it to me. A dealer has to do the work and I will get that taken care of immediately. I can totally trust them!

I took my 1988 560SL for the first time to Silver Star Motors for a fuel distributor replacement. They did an excellent job for a reasonable price. As mentioned in other reviews, Peter does not come across as pushing unnecessary repairs. Overall very happy with the experience.

I have been going to Silver Star since 2001 and absolutely love these guys! They are a complete Mercedes shop and all the guys are well qualified servicing Mercedes vehicles. They are very reasonably priced too - compared to dealers and other gas station mechanics.
I dont even consider going to other places to get my E320 and ML500 repaired. If you have a Mercedes then give they a try - you wont be disappointed!

We've been bringing our Mercedes (SL55, SL320, ML350, and CLK320) to Peter at Silver Star for more than 10 years. We've been treated honestly, all work has been done right the first time, and everyone there always has the time to answer all of my questions.
Finding a good mechanic is tough -- finding a shop that you can trust with your four-wheeled baby is nearly impossible. Silver Star is the best we've found!

Silver Star Motors are simply the best. It doesn't get any better than this when it comes to service and quality of work.
Lately, I have been slacking and delaying the much-needed services for my car. I felt bad, as i brought it in on such short notice and with many things to get done, i told Peter i didn't need it back for a week (or however long they needed). The car was ready the next day!!
I've been going to them for over 5 years for my E320, and would not go anywhere else! Silver Star Motors never disappoints. The work is impeccable and prices are very reasonable! Thank you SSMl!!!

This is truly a great place. I had been going to the dealership for years and knew that I was being overcharged but was hesitant to take the car elsewhere. I found Silver Star on Yelp and gave it a try. I really couldn't have asked for more; these folks are great at what they do, extremely honest, fairly priced, and have a quick turn around.

Honest mechanics?? Not an oxymoron anymore!
I just started going there, but they have been super honest and even recommended that I not get work done!
If you have a benz and want a honest good shop (that only work on MB), this is your place. I am almost ecstatic to have found these guys!

I came here based on the yelp review because i was trying to avoid the expensive dealerships with getting my ML-55 serviced. Their customer service is very good- they are very patient and their prices are slightly cheaper than a dealership (I got the B service done). They are willing to put in the extra time to quote you prices and do additional research on prices if you ask them to. I felt very valued!
It is worth noting that since they aren't a dealer there are select things they cannot do- like fix your ignition (which i needed) since only dealers are allowed to purchase the parts (some anti-theft protocol). Also, the dealer I went to afterward to get my ignition fixed was able to clean all the oxidation from my xenon headlights while Silver Star motors was going to have me purchase entirely new lamp kits (which are REALLY pricey!).
Nevertheless, for general maintenance and things other than ignition issues I definitely recommend them!

I was introduced to Peter's Silver Star Motors through a friend and Mercedes owner who has been going there for more than a decade. I was extremely pleased with the service provided and courteous way I was treated. Earlier, I had been told by a local Mercedes dealer during a regular service visit (at 65k miles) that I needed new front brake pads and brake fluid, plus new transmission fluid, spark plugs and air filter. In addition to the $500 regular service charge, the dealer wanted to charge me $1400 more for the other repairs. Out of suspicion, I declined the dealer's proposal and went to see Silver Star. Peter personally checked the brake pads and showed me that they still had considerable life left on them. He advised that I not replace them now, but wait another 5k miles or so and then have them checked along with the other repairs suggested by the dealer. I was confident I was getting good advice, and agreed to bring my car back as Peter suggested, unless some unanticipated problem emerged in the meantime (which I could likely spot through the indicator panel). I would definitely recommend Peter and his team to other potential customers, as they operate a five star service company..

Heater Hose Assembly of my Town and Country cracked, I am not a customer of PT Auto rather than they were close to me. They responded to this emergency maintenance professionally and charged me: 1. $150 for the hose that is priced around $50 online. 2. $24 for Antifreeze. 3. $143 labor for replacing the hose and fill & bleed cooling system. 4. Total was $341. I have received a decent service but I believe that I was overpriced as replacing this house is not a great big of a deal. It is easy to reach and a simple replacement. I will not go there for regular scheduled maintenance.

Awesome! They squeezed me in at the last minute, treated me with respect and kindness, and gave me a fair price. Definitely not one of those places that will try to sell you on a bunch of unnecessary repairs. They do only what's needed and get you out the door and on your way. I won't go anywhere else!
