I like this place!
Walked in on a Wednesday (5pm) and they close at 5:30. When I pulled up, the nice man said it was no problem to give me a quick oil change.
Was out right at 5:30. They changed my oil and put in a few air filter. Price was good too, he didn't rip me off!!
The reception lady was really nice too as she offered to email me some prices on some other work I need done to my car.

SpeeDee is a family run business that makes you feel welcomed. We arrived around 10:45am on a Sunday and we didn't have to wait at all. After the oil change (which took about 15 ~ 20 minutes), the service technician walked me through all the fluids he topped off and other issues he noticed. He was very friendly and very informative. The issues he noticed are legitimate and there was no selling involved. It was just a very factual report which I very much appreciated.
If you are enrolled in their rewards program (powered by FiveStars), every 4th oil change is free.
I would definitely recommend SpeeDee to anyone.

Quick and easy. I yelped the place so gave it a try. Like all the reviews very good service. Mia and Eduardo were friendly and very helpful. Mia showed and explained what Speedee offers. She told me about the coupons and rewards. Eduardo also explained the price difference on oils and told me to use the $8 off coupon on yelp. He also showed me my air filter and cabin filter; explain what they did: vacuum, top off and cleaned windows. I am very happy with them and i will bring my other cars here. Grade =A+

I've always dreaded taking my car in for service however I happened to stumble upon speedy oil change and was pleasantly surprised. Was met out front by young man, Eduardo, who promised me everything was going to be taken care of within 35 minutes or less. I loved the little children's nook for my Little one to play in but we didn't need to get too comfy as Eduardo approached me in 16 min!!! He was incredibly thorough he explained everything in detail and I did not feel pressured or that he was going to be throwing in unexpected fees or air filters that "needed" to be changed. Way to go Eduardo, great service! Hope you go far in whatever career you choose!

Preface: So I called and went to 8 different oil change places (Oil Changers, Jiffy Lube, Chevron Oil Change, 76 Gas Station, BMW dealership, European Auto Works, etc). Each one varied from $129-250+. I have a BMW but it's not some crazy expensive car (bought it used; low miles).
I called Speedee; Patty puts me on hold struggling to find out if they have my oil filter. She cannot locate my car. I was frustrated; she was not. I was ready to rip my hair out - she was calm and cool. I pull up (still on hold). She walks out to greet me. She walks around my car and very graciously let me know: I have a 328i... not a 325i. **DOH!!**
She says they don't have it, but she'll order it. I'm in a rush as always - so she says, I'll hold onto it for you, come back when you have 20-30 mins to wait for us to do your service. She quotes $100 roughly.
I come back today (3 days later). I speak with Josue. He is very gracious. I was able to get in and out of there in roughly 20 minutes paying $81+/-... killer deal. The best part? He didn't give me the big long annoying schbeal every oil place does. He says "Your air filter is great, don't worry about that for another 20k miles; your air can is great, your transmission is really great and it has a warranty so don't ever worry about that; come back soon if you need us to top off your fluids. Have a nice day" -- SAY WHAT? Grrreat! Thanks dude!

The woman ahead of me for service was told she didn't need an oil change, that someone had put something in backwards and they had fixed it for her, no charge. Good start. They changed the oil in my truck and put air in the tires, including the spare! Turns out the spare tire was setting off my TPS, which no one else had figured out for months. I will be back and have recommended them already to my dad, who has a diesel truck. Great shop! I do hate the fake coffee creamer, though... ;)

If you absolutely must have your car's oil changed in less than 11 minutes (or whatever it is that the other places promise), by all means go to the other place! If you want a good quality job, including checking/topping off all the fluids, etc. and you're willing to make pleasant chit-chat with the lovely people who work here (or obsessively look at your phone on the sunny patio) for half an hour, this is your place.
As mentioned in other reviews, the prices are great, and the people are friendly and helpful.
Lots of people come in during their lunch hours, so if you can, come in the morning or afternoon to minimize your wait.
If your car requires non-standard filters or fluids, call ahead to ensure that they have them in stock. (Last time I stopped at the local parts shop to bring in my own oil filter; this time they had them available.)

Customer service is great. They are honest about your cars condition and they will show you visually what's wrong. After the oil change they will go through with you on what they did as well as what should be done in the future. The five star rewards is great too. 5 oil changes grants you a free one. Sometimes they forget to vacuum and clean the Windows too. And they are still dirty after sometimes when they clean it. Also the steering wheel is always dirty each time I go, think the employees should wear gloves or clean it after.

My car was due for an oil change so I came here on my lunch break and they were able to complete the whole process in 20 minutes. This was also due to the fact that it was't that busy on a Monday at 12:45. When they were done, they called me over to go over everything they checked and helped me be aware of areas that needed to be serviced. After I paid, I was well on my way. I also got a great deal because of their $29 special, but did have to pay a few bucks extra because the coupon only covers 5 qts of oil and mine requires just a tad more. A week later, I brought my husband's car in to get his oil change. On that day, it was a bit busier so in total the process probably took 40 minutes. I let them know I was on my lunch break and they let me pay in advance after they let me know the car is fine.
I was so glad SpeeDee was so close by and offered such a good price of an oil change. Now, not only have I heard about them on the reliable, I can now rely on them!

5 stars because of the experience start to finish.
Walked into the place I was greeted and offered coffee or tea (I had tea). I waited outside where they had a seat and table however inside they had a charging area and they offered free wifi. Once my oil change was complete they walked me over to my car explained what they had done and I was set to go. Before finishing up they did clean my windows and vacuum my front carpet. Overall friendly staff good experience I'll be back for my next oils change. It's a honor to give you your 100th Yelp Review!

Arun, is one of the nicest business owners I have met. He truly understands how to take care of his customer. When I come here I feel that I am getting service that is on par with Nordstrom or Zappos. I failed a smog check due to changing a battery right before my test and Arun was knowledgable and worked with me to tell me what I needed to do.
The reception staff is very friendly, the place is clean and welcoming.

Was greeted when I pulled in. Let the worker know I had the coupon for the 17pt reg oil change on my phone and he said that was ok. Was given an estimate of 25-30mins it would be done. I went to sit in the "lobby" and was not greeted by the two people working at the front. A man and a woman.
They have a tv with multiple screens of the cars they are working on. That was nice. That way you can see if they are doing what you're paying them to fix. They had jolly ranchers there too lol. My oil change was done in 25mins, he took me to my car to show me what he did..with the 17pt oil change they also clean your windshield, vaccum your two front seats/carpet, and a few other things. Thankfully he only tried to up sell me a filter, which I politely declined. Would come here again.

It's places like these that really make you hate living in SF, where every simple errand is suddenly a great chore... The reviews are true about this place! It's great. This is a really convenient location, they offer a wide variety of services, and very competitive prices!

They were able to change the oil on my 2012 Mazda 3 w/ Skyactiv, which requires a different filter that many other places don't have. Service was fast and done well. Everyone was friendly. They have a tv that shows them working on your car to satisfy your curiosity, which I thought was cool. Complementary coffee and wifi. A cute spot in the corner for children to play as they wait. They're a step up from other places I've been to for an oil change. Highly recommended!

I'm quite impressed at the thorough job they do here! I was greeted by Antonio who advised me of the 17-point inspection oil change I asked for. He directed me to the waiting room which was comfy with water, coffee, CNN playing and some various periodicals to browse through. They finished quicker than expected which is always a good thing. Antonio returned, escorted me to my car and went down the list of things completed while simultaneously pointing them out under my hood. If there was any further maintenance to be recommended, he would have but only advised I could use a headlight cleaning. They capped off my fluids, balanced my tire pressure and vacuumed the inside of my car for $29.99 (with a coupon)! This was a most efficient, satisfying process!

Arun, who works the front desk, saw my wallet fall off the top of my car in a busy intersection while he was driving in the other direction off of Veterans Boulevard. He ran out, picked up my credit cards, passport, check book, driver's license and money that spilled out of wallet, and called me to tell me I could come pick it up. When I did, he refused any thank you gift, stating, "it was nothing. I hope someone would do the same for me."
If that's how SpeeDee runs their business then I'm comfortable trusting them with my car. They can count on me as a customer.

I had a huge nail stuck into my tire last night. This morning, when I tried to start my car, it was totally flat. I decided to call AAA and tow my car to SpeeDee because I have heard good things about it from my friends.
SpeeDee didn't disappoint. They quickly diagnosed the problem and then helped me order a tire that matches exactly my other tires. It turns out it will take several hours for the tire to arrive, so am I stuck in the repair shop? Well, they actually lent a car to me so I can run a few errands.
Needless to say, when the tire arrives, they quickly helped me install it and everything is back to normal thanks to SpeeDee.

I always went to Honda dealer for service. One of my friends recommended this SpeeDee and said they were good. So in March, when my car displayed service request (A12, which is engine oil, tire service and something else), I visited speedee. Their qoute was $180, which was $50-60 cheaper than Honda dealer for the same service package. I did the oil change at the same time so they only charged me $9 for tire rotation. The work was complete same day and all the tech were very polite and explained to me what I need to monitor in the next few months (they did not recommend the additional service immediately but asked me to monitor). Overall, I felt they are very honest with what needs to be done and competitively priced. Will visit them again for future service.

They may be good in oil change and service. They are not the place for smog test. They charge 60 for pickup or SUV. I did it at $40 from a Sunnyvale. $20 more. But they were reasonably fast in getting the test done.

I called ahead and made an appointment for noon. The person who took my appointment was amazingly friendly.
The staff who changed my oil were all awesome. For kicks, I had a stopwatch running on my phone, it's pretty common for an oil change on my Camaro to take almost an hour. I was driving out in 25 minutes.
This place is amazingly quick, cheap, and friendly. I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs any sort of service that they provide.

I bought two services through Amazon. I show up and I'm told it'll take 1.5 hours. I go walk around and come back over 1.5 hours later. Is my car ready? No, they haven't even started my second service and it'll be 30-45 more minutes. I now just sit in the lobby waiting patiently. Now, 1 hour later, they are finally done. I'm sure they did a good job but it surely wasn't quick (over 2.5 hours). I don't mind waiting, but if you're going to give me a time, please stick to it. I could be walking around Kmart drinking my boba rather than sitting here bored out of my mind. I hate giving these kind of reviews but I'm pretty annoyed.

You will get the most personalized service ever at SpeeDee Oil Change! We took 2 cars to the shop and Arun was able to arrange both of them to be fixed on the same day! It was my first time there - the shop looked very clean, the staff were neat unlike any typical mechanic shops. My 4.5 year old daughter also got herself occupied in the little play area in the shop. You can tell the owners have great attention to details from the auto service itself to the customer services.
All of us (including my daughter!) were very happy here. Take your cars there and you will not be disappointed!!

My 14 year old Accord has been having problems with random starting failure. I brought it to a couple of mechanics and could not identify the reason. My coworkers have been telling me good things about this place so I finally took it to SpeeDee. They spent an hour doing a full diagnostic and found the problem with my engine.
The staff was very professional and honest and provided me a couple of solution to fix the car with reasonable price. You can also tell the owner really cares for their customers and would attend to each customer there details. The waiting room was also very comfy with leather armchairs and made the wait time easy and pleasant. I am so glad I finally found a reliable and capable auto service shop near me.

I found SpeeDee on Yelp and went in to use the coupon for a $29.99 oil change. I was promptly greeted by an attendant as soon as I pulled up and rolled down my window and then greeted again by the manager working the front desk. The oil change was quick while I waited in the lobby. Before paying, the mechanic gave me a quick and thorough walk through of the condition of my fluids, tires, etc. He recommended a new cabin air filter, which I kindly declined.
As I was getting into my car to leave, a coin fell out of my purse. One of the mechanics rushed over to pick it up for me. Sometimes it's the small gestures that make a business worth coming back to!
This was my first time here and I was very impressed with the professional and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!

I first spoke to Patty over the phone prior to coming in. She was very pleasant to talk to and she provided me with a quote for an oil change and tire rotation. Alfredo and Arun were also a joy to deal with. They were very kind and inviting. Alfredo first greeted me as I entered the parking lot and the entire process took less than 30 minutes. Went for smog check today. Very friendly staff. Supervisor or owner went out of the way to offer me coffee, and see if I was comfortable.
They were quick with the smog check. I will go back for an oil change or a future smog check.
My only caution is this -- call ahead for a price quote. I did, and was told a price. When I drove there, the attendant wrote stated a price $20 higher. I told him about the over the phone price quote, and he immediately adjusted it to match the phone price. Lesson: call ahead of time.

My first time there to have my Lexus serviced for oil change and smog check. No fuss and straight professional. The technician came in the waiting too finding me to show me the check up conditions and have my consent on what exactly service items he would perform. That was awesome. I asked one service for his opinion, and I liked it and adopted his recommendation. No sales push which made me feel very comfortable. Owner setup a LED screen in the waiting room to show your vehicles being serviced. Pretty cool. I will return for sure for future car services.

So impressed by the professional services at this SpeeDee! They changed my oil in a timely manner, walked me through everything they topped off and inspected and gave me suggestions for things to replace and things that didn't need any replacing. The owner gave me a discount because I was replacing a few things and therefore paying a bit more than anticipated, which was totally unnecessary but appreciated! Then, to top it all off, they removed some un wanted stickers from my back windshield and instead of the owner charging me, he just ask that I tip the mechanic who was doing the work. I love feeling like a valued customer and everyone here made me feel that way!

My company uses this place exclusively for our driving school vehicles, so I, as well as other employees, started bringing our personal vehicles here as well. I brought my car here for the first time and they were as attentive and informative as always. Nothing about this place feels sketchy or dodgy like many auto shops can feel. Amazing place, top notch service and absolutely professional and honest staff. You are not going to regret taking your car to SpeeDee.
My 2005 Toyota Sienna was having engine issues along with some strange noise. I took it in to SpeeDee to check it out. Being a car novice, the staff was super patient with me in explaining what was potentially going on, and what they were going to check. That immediately puts me at ease.
They then did a thorough check and found a number of issues (in addition to the apparent engine issues). I obviously had a lot of questions. The staff was extremely patient and honest with me on what I should fix and what I can delay fixing until later. He also was able to fix the issue with a very reasonable price.
The whole experience was superb and I highly recommend SpeeDee to anyone with a car problem.

I didn't have an appointment and just stopped by one day. I was in a hurry heading another place, and to my surprise, I was told it should take around 30 minutes or so, although I saw the workshop is almost full and there were people waiting for the cars.
There are a few things nice to place, 1st, needless to say, it was fast. I got my oil change summary within 30 minutes. 2nd , friendly staff, my car was due something else besides oil change. The engine filter was dirty too, the technician showed me and it was almost completely black. He just recommended me to change that and explains the benefit, but didn't push me to take it. 3nd, service was inexpensive. The cost to replace the engine air filter was only a little over 20 bucks, compared to what I was charged for $110 for a main cabin air filter, I was more than happy to take it. Overall, a very decent place if you want to get fast and reasonable price oil change.

This is a really good place. You get a bang for your buck. Service is really good. You can watch on the cctv camera how your car is being treated. No unnecessary pushing into changing parts/ service. Special thanks to the front office lady Patricia, as well for the gentleman whom changed my oil. Overall my experience was more than perfect. I was able to receive a good quick speedy oil change, and on behalf of that become more knowledgeable on my personal vehicle. They're regular and special rates are very understandable, on top of that all the employers went above and beyond to answer all my needs.

I needed a quick oil change in preparation for a long road trip, and decided to give SpeeDee a try. I live much closer to their Daly City and San Bruno locations, but after reading both of their mediocre reviews, I decided to drive 40 min to this Redwood City location. Everything was as good as advertised - I got there about 10 min after it opened (a weekday), and was out of there in 30 min (I was the first one in). When they were done, they walked me through each item they inspected/topped off during the 17-point inspection, and also made recommendations about things to be replaced at the next service. The owner and staff were professional, courteous and honest. I'm definitely considering going back to them even for things other than just the simple oil change.

I had my Subaru smog checked here yesterday after getting a referral from Carlsen Subaru (just down the road). Great experience! Other reviewers here talk about the friendly service, and I agree. The people I interacted with were fair, kind, and very professional. Maybe it's a little funny to say this, but the place just has a good vibe that I really appreciated. The waiting area is comfortable, and you can watch the cars in the shop in real time on the small screen on the wall. Interesting.

I really had a great experience at this Speedee.
I had a routine maintenance done on my Toyota Sienna and had the brakes replaced as well. They were fairly priced and the GM/Owner showed me pictures of the work afterwards. He also took ample time to talk me through any issues and things to watch. They were also incredibly flexible in working around my pick up/drop off constraints. They were so much more interactive, knowledgeable, and flexible than the car dealer shops that I have been going to for the past few years. I spoke with the guy actually doing the work on the car and he had been working there for over 15 years.
I highly recommend this place and will bring all of my cars here in the future.

I had a 90k Mile Service on 10/06/15, I apologize I am just getting to this review. This place has amazing service, I will be their customer for life! The owner, was professional, and so friendly. He got right back to me with an estimate for the service, which was fair. They not only did the service quickly, but they vacuumed AND REPAIRED MY REAR BRAKE LIGHT THAT WAS OUT FOR NO FEE!!!! And the topper was, he thanked me for giving them a chance....no one thanks anyone, anymore. Super nice place....I will be back!

This location had a very recent change of ownership, and though I have never had a problem in past visits, I had an exceptionally pleasant experience today. Had my smog and some other work done on my car and when I went to pick it up later in the day, Arun Nagpal, took me aside and walked me through every detail of my car's needs and was honest enough to say that I didn't have to do some work based on my driving habits, for a while. His estimate was surprisingly quite lower than others I have seen for the same job as well. Wishing the new ownership well and keep up the great customer service!

I'm new to the area so I was looking for a I'm mechanic and, honestly, was a little hesitant about taking it to a SpeeDee, but after speaking with the owner on the phone, I felt at ease. I took my car in today for an oil and front brake change, but ended up needing my master cylinder replaced. Besides the initial shock of how much it would cost, it was an overall awesome experience. The owner, Arun, was exceptionally kind. He drove me to and from home so I could wait there instead of in the lobby, and when it was all said and done, he worked with me on the price, which I really appreciated. Armando was the one who actually worked on my car and he did a great job. Having had worked at a repair shop before, I know customer service doesn't always take precedence, but here, it's definitely valued. I think it's safe to say, I found my new mechanic. Thank you!

I went to this place twice.
The first time was in early October. I needed to take a long road trip so that I brought the car to the shop. I asked them to check things out and do a service. The technician was very polite and professional. He checked the car promptly and came back with very good suggestions - what I should do and what I should consider. I don't know much about cars, but he was able to explain everything clearly and precisely. He truly wanted to make sure I would have a safe trip.
A couple days ago, my tire pressure light was blinking. I wasn't sure what was going on so I took the car to the shop again. The technician check the tire pressure right away and told me everything was fine. I was really impressed that he did not try to tell me there was something wrong and I should do this or do that.
I felt I finally found a car service place that I could trust.

I went in to get my oil changed because it was past due & I needed to drive to LA on friday. The staff was extremely nice and handled my oil change quickly and professionally. When the mechanic went to move my car he came in and asked if I had time for them to look at my brakes - something was wrong. & Since I had been noticing a grumbling with my brakes at speed I said okay. Boy was I lucky - I definitely needed a new front brake - SpeeDee had the parts and was able to replace my brake & rotor within 45 minutes. Price was reasonable too! I definitely can recommend them & will be going back.

I have taken my car for seveal oil changes, new breaks and smog check. Every time they have my car done when they say they will. I usually just wait for it in the lobby, an oil change takes about 30 min. during the week and longer on the weekends.
The guys are always polite, they show me what needs to fixed and explain why no pressure.
Its clean, friendly and I can watch them do the work from the waiting room.

First time did my oil change and inspection in this shop, staff were friendly and warm. Being a female, it is sometimes awkward to sit in an auto shop and not sure guys were telling you the truth about your car. Their front desk lady was open and warm, and manchanic finished up all the work within an hour. Best yet, they were not pushy nor tried to upsell. They did tell me some parts needed to be changed but I can wait for few months. It's not hard to find a oil change shop but a trustworthy one is sure a big plus!

I brought my Chevy Colorado in for a a regular oil change and during the inspection I was advised that the motor had poor performance due to low compression in one of the cylinders. The manager suggested that I should take it into the Chevy dealer as it might be and expensive repair job and that it may also be covered under a little known recall. This was later confirmed at Boardwalk Chevy. They handled it very well and kept me informed all along the way too. So if I hadn't had such a knowledgeable and honest service manager at Speedee I might be out $2500 - $3000!

I have worked with Savandra the owner, for the 20 years or so, we are in the auto sales business.,The service has always been top notch, and Johnny the smog tech is brilliant, so I would say hands down the best smog service around. The rest of the guys there are always professional and very courteous. I know they do a lot of other type of mechanical work there, but we primarily use them for smogs.
As long as I am in the car business, I will always depend on these guys to do the best job possible.

I like to service here because they are trustworthy, affordable, and reliably quick.
In an hour, i had my oil changed ($40) and my transmission fluid changed ($!60). The mechanic also showed me what transmission fluid is supposed to look like, apparently red, and not brown like mine.
They want your business and will quote you a decent price and give you advice on the most pertinent things that your needs.

Took my car in here today to have my rear brakes replaced. They quickly gave me a quote and got the work underway. I found them to be clear on what they were doing and what it would cost.
They were very complete, almost as if they were looking for other issues but didn't find any. I appreciated the completeness.
Would have given 5 stars but they told me it would take an hour and it took 2.5.
I will come back here again for minor maintenance.

I am very picky about my car. A friend of a friend recommended this place to me. Good reviews on Yelp too.
Place was nice, clean, and appeared very organized. Mario was very knowledgeable. The manager behind the desk was very professional. My first time there for just an oil change and disappointing. They tried to up-sell me on everything: told me I should get synethic oil, my engine was dirty and needed to be cleaned, etc. -- all unnecessary. After speaking with me, they knew I wasn't an idiot and didn't push it any further.
But they also recommended some valid points such as my tires will need rotating.
Overall, ok place, recommend it but not highly.

When my mechanic was on vacation, I needed an oil change for a long road trip. I went here based on great reviews and should have taken into consideration that the reviews were old. I went here for an oil change, which was fine, but these jokers tried to upsell me on repairs I did not need. They must make commissions I guess. As a single female, I expect this sort of behavior from many auto service places, as many of these thugs assume they can take advantage of my lack of automobile knowledge. They were not subtle about it, and I picked up on it easily. I even overheard the manager asking the serviceman how he could tell I needed such a repair with a quick look, and when I asked him to repeat that he said, "oh never mind." When I went for my tune up with my regular repairman, he confirmed that I didn't need any of the repairs Spee Dee claimed I needed, which was estimated to cost nearly $300. Glad I trusted my intuition and left with just the oil change. Shady!

It is the third time I went there to get my oil changed. I like the fact that they check other stuff in the car even though you go just to get your oil changed and that they don't push you to get the things done... It makes me trust them. I hate when I go to places where they keep finding everything wrong in our car, seems like they just want you to spend the money.
Another pro is the fact that they are usually fast and you can wait sitting in a room. I hate to wait standing on gas stations.
Also mechanic shops are not really the kind of place women like to go. We feel uncomfortable with all the man staring at you. But the employees there are all very nice.

I called ahead for oil change appointment and my car model info . Parked the car and was greeted. So far so good! I was in the middle of filling up paper work, a crew said this car need a canister filter which is $12 more. It was shocking to me. Excuse me! The Toyota Corolla was serviced by many other stations JIFFY, Firestone and dealerships. No place ever mentioned it or charged more for canister filter. One star for telling me before oil drained out. Minus 4 stars for Jack Up price.
