Walnut Auto Air

With the summer heating up, I decided to get my air conditioning in my car serviced. Walnut Auto Air did a fantastic job, and now I'm cruising around in cool comfort.

Woody and his team are masters at their craft.
Custom hoses and spot welding are available. Probably the best as they come. Over 30 years of experience in electrical and air conditioning maintenance projects. His team catches mistakes that other chain mechanics miss in their diagnosis. Thank you for being proactive, and professional.
His reports are thorough and detailed. From one engineer to another, you can tell he's there to take care of you and report it as it is. The warranty is 12 months parts and labor or 12000 miles.

Woody worked on both classic Oldsmobiles 1968 Cutlass /1970 442 -worked with me on both these cars. AC came out great and cold/ Woody suggested updates for colder AC . everything works grea

I am so grateful for the service that Woody and his guys had to offer by making my 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer's AC much colder than normal. Don't know how he does it but thermostat read 45 degrees and was more than satisfied with their work...worth every penny sent. I have several other vehicles that they worked on the AC and always happy with their work. Also the ones who complains about Walnut Air is ridiculous, if you can't afford to fix the AC on your $80K car then you shouldn't be driving one. You get what you pay for (please read point of view below) and I'm glad to spend my money with Walnut Air because they know what they are doing and that's what they specialized in. I mean, would you take your motorcycle to an auto shop? I wouldn't, common sense. Good job Woody and the guys and gal who worked on my rides, thank you!
Point of View:
It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that is all. When you pay too little you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The Common Law of Business balance PROHIBITS paying a little and getting a lot, it cannot be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better (John Ruskin, 1819 - 1900).

Walnut Auto Air has been working on my vehicles for 15 years. They have always explained the problem, told me how they would fix it and always matched or came in below the quote they gave me. The owner, Woody, is very customer friendly and I have never had a problem with their work. I would highly recommend Wanut Auto Air for all your repairs.

I have brought all kinds of vehicles to Woody for about 10 years, cars, trucks & and now my 2012 box van. Since I purchased this vehicle I didn't have air every time I stepped on the gas, I suspected it was a vacuum leak so I took it to Woody. He looked my vehicle up, found were the vacuum hoses ran & found the hose that wasn't connected, he connected the hose and about 15 min. Total I was out of there with the air conditioner working great & he didn't charge me a dime. I would highly recommend Walnut Auto Air.

Thank you Walnut Air for excellent service and repair to my 97 Toyota Corolla Ac. I put off getting it repaired for a long time not knowing what it would cost to fix it. They diagnosed the fix in minutes gave me fair affordable estimate. To my amazement there expertise repaired my AC. To ICE Cold In About an hour. Go there for service and repairs I'm glad I did. I have an '05 Camry and my air conditioning light has been blinking for at least a year. I tried some tips off the internet and took it two other shops to get it fixed, but to no avail. Woody and his staff are excellent. This truly felt like a five star service experience. The prices are fair, the service is excellent, and they got it fixed very quickly. I appreciated that Woody talked me through the repair he and his team performed and educated me on what to look for in the future.
This is a five star a/c repair shop! Highly recommend!

This review is written based on my experience during the summer of 2010. Wonderful family owned business!! Unfortunately for me, my auto air conditioning issues had always occurred during the hottest summers. Driving in my car without a full functioning A/C felt like I was simmering in an oven, within a sauna!! I sought help from the owners of Walnut Auto Air and they were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient in diagnosing my car's issues. I no longer drive this car, but at the time, it was my baby: a 2003 Celica GT-S. The owner gave me a very reasonable repair proposal and they even offered me a ride to the closest rental car center, which was really nice. They really saved me from the scorching, unbearable heat that summer and repaired my car in a rather short amount of time!

I've been going to Walnut Auto Air for over 20 years. Woody has always taken care of our cars cooling and AC needs. I am one of those strange people that notices if the car is 1/4lb low. Its 100+ today and the AC was not blowing cold. A little secret the car dealer won't tell you...Every new car I've had is 1/4lb low out of the factory. You won't notice till it hits 100 and the car is not cooling. Just today, I noticed today that my 2014 Toyota Prius Plug in was not cooling. Took it into Walnut Auto Air and Woody and his guys checked it out...sure enough 1/4lb short. Charged it back up to the proper level and now its cooling, even when its 100 degrees outside. Honest and does good work, that is Walnut Auto Air!

This place is a scam the owner left me with no air-conditioning at the beginning of July ' When I first took my car in for an air conditioning service it was working fine just not cold enough but still working fine when I left it wasn't working at all '

SOOOO ez to work with! I went in before my epic road trip South East. I expected a big deal, but really just wanted it fixed and to get on the road. I took my car to them with a hot ac and a check engine light and came out stone cold ac, no light and a lot happier than I could have ever thought. They found a corroded (?) wire. All they did was clean it somehow and I was gone... THANKS!

Great job. Found problem with A/C , fixed it. Replaced a part that had fallen out of my air vent system. Big plus for me because I am hard of hearing, Woody speaks clear fluent English ... Nice job, performed by a very kind gentleman. Thank you we will come again. Deb

Must Read !! My A/C was down . my car is yr 2001 . After check on web Review and their Website. They seems very knowledgeable on A/C. So make appointment went there. This guy charge me $50.00 for the testing , they drain out all my coolant . And give me a quote for $1600.00 . I end up found a place few blocks away , spend only $150.00 . All I am missing is the compressor belt and add the coolant back . It is your choice if you still want to come here!

The A/C in my truck was in poor condition (or so I thought). I brought my truck to Walnut Auto Air. Not only was I in and out in under 2 hours...but they solved the problem quickly and efficiently. They were very helpful and thorough.

Brought car in to get air conditioner fixed, found out through my regular mechanic they just cut a hose which he showed me, Took shortcuts and didnt do work the right way. Charged $700+ for their "fix". Do not go to this place they are untrustworthy thieves!

My car AC stops working after a small accident therefore I send my car to Walnut Auto Air & Radiator for service last month. They replaced a new receiver and three belts, and recharge AC Freon for $360. Recently I find out one new belt getting mess up because a bad clutch cutting the belt. I took my car back to Walnut auto and they told me need to pay other $315 to replace a clutch and belt. They did not do the job right and unprofessional
