They are the most fair, knowledgeable mechanics I have ever dealt with.
I do not have the words to praise their skills and business practices as high as they deserve.

Charlie and Rick are great guys, not only honest but very good mechanics. I take all my vehicles to them if there's ever a problem, when I've had big fixes that I couldn't afford at the time Charlie worked with me to bring the cost down while still having a part that he trusted to do the job. Don't think you will find better mechanics or a better shop in the Aurora/North Aurora area.

I've been bringing our cars to Chuck and RIck since we moved to North Aurora 8 years ago. This is your no frills auto repair (but that's a good thing!). C & R Specialists is a nondescript building on RIver Road (Rt 25) just south of Butterfield Rd (Rt 56). They are knowledgeable about all makes and models and and are very fair on prices. The greatest asset of C & R is that they are honest about what repairs need to be done and which are not a problem. I have brought my cars in thinking it needed a certain type of repair only to find that after having it checked out it was something I didn't to have done. Most places would just do the repair and charge you, For that reason, I am happy to give them my business.

Charlie and Rich not only know their stuff, they are two of the most honest and ethical men you will ever find. They've happily surprised me when I thought my high-maintenance and tempermental performance car needed major work, and they have also told me "This is going to be a big job." Even then, they STILL repaired my car for a reasonable price. You can not go wrong if you do business with C & R Specialists.
Also, they usually have WXRT playing in the background. Major plus.

Chuck and Rick are honest mechanics that do exceptional work in a short amount of time. I failed my emissions test, brought it to the shop and Chuck to me he would have to keep it for a few days to see what was going on with my car. He called me 7 hours later he found and fixed my problem! Such great speedy work for great pricing. They will be my go to guys from now on!

Brought my car in to get a oil leak fixed. Rick charged me several hundred dollars but the car still leaked oil. He told me it must be another leak. I gave him another shot to fix it. Big mistake. $221 more and still leaks. I called to let him know and never got a call back.

Based on another review I decided to take my car to Chuck and Rick...I've been in N. Aurora for 7 years and wanted a local repair shop. They were honest, friendly, and gave me fair prices. I even brought them my Jeep to put a 2" hitch on the next day that needed the bumper removed to do it. He said he didn't want to mess up my truck...looked at it twice...and did it charging me book 1.5 hours labor and said he would've charged me for an hour if he could on a tough job. Fantastic people.

Charlie and Rick are master mechanics. They are efficient, finish when they say they will, are reasonable in their pricing and stand behind their work.. they have been in business over 25 years. I would not take my cars anywhere else.
