Great service, great place. Some friends and I from out of town were driving to Florida and my car started overheating. I couldn't drive it more than two miles without having to stop for it to cool. Fortunately, I was close to this place. Michael stayed extra hours to replace my cracked radiator and get us on our way. He didn't jack up the price on the repair when he totally could have. Turned a catastrophe into just a couple of hours of delay.

Fanatic Auto Repair

I've taken my car to Michael several times for major and minor repairs. He is very honest and doesn't try to find things to charge you for. He has actually saved me money by telling me the truth about the severity of a "check engine" repair I thought I needed.

Not only did Michael charge me less than what I was expecting, he fixed a tricky problem that my previous mechanics were unable to. Plus, my car had dirt embedded so deeply into the paint that I couldn't get it out, and Michael surprised me by removing it -- for free!

Michael has always shot me straight. He stands by the work that he does and has gone above and beyond to help me out. My wife's A/C compressor went out on her Honda and he replaced it back in Feb/March. Started acting up again this month and we took it back to him. He worked on the car for a whole week, put two brand new compressors on, replace all kinds of parts, recharged the refrigerant... all at no additional costs. I'm sorry but you don't find mechanics who are willing to back up their work with that kind of guarantee. He found the issue (which happened to be a whole other issue with the throttle body) and charged me minimally (~$200) for the part and work. Another instance -- wound up getting a flat on my Jeep, changed the spare out and took him the tire and he plugged/replaced it no problem. I could go on with these kind of stories.. my point is that it is rare to find a mechanic you can feel comfortable with. Michael is that kind of guy. I will refer anyone in the Birmingham area to him and will continue to do so as long as he provides me the kind of work/service he always does.
