I have been going to HRS for about 8 years now. I would not consider going anywhere else. They have consistently gone out of their way for me, worked with my budget, and now give me a list of things that will need to be looked at so I can plan ahead (preventative care.) That allows me to drive without worrying and keep my car in great shape. Anna and Kevin are good, honest people and honestly, I don't know why anyone would bad-mouth them on this page. There is not enough room to tell how many little and large extra things that they have done for me, often at no cost. That's the 'old school' way of doing. To me, that's the only way to go.

It seems like HRS doesn't try very hard at customer service. Perhaps they don't need to because they're one of two mechanics in Wilmore. They've never contacted me when my car was ready. I've always had to call and take that matter into my own hands. The one time I wanted multiple things done to my vehicle, not everything got done. That might have had something to do with them not taking the time to write anything down. Unfortunately, in my experience, they're the better of the two mechanics in Wilmore. So, good luck. You may want to outsource to Nicholasville.

above and beyond

HRS has always taken care of me and my families autos. One time they came to see why my van wouldn't start, towed to the shop, checked it completely. Put $5.00 worth of gas in and started it right up. My bill was $5.00.

Poor Service

Would not ever recommend. Brought my car to them to have AC serviced. Was blowing hot air and figured the freon needed recharged. HRS told me it was not the freon and were checking the sensors. Low and behold, their computers couldn't read my cars computer to figure out what sensor was messed up. Not one time did HRS call me to tell me what was going on with my car. I had to call them at the end of every day to see what was up. They gave me the run around about what was going on and had my car for 4 days. I took my car to a different mechanic and within 4 hours they had my car diagnosed and fixed. The problem? My freon was almost completely out. How do you miss that one? I'm wondering if HRS even pulled my car into the garage to look at it.

We've been going to HRS for years and wouldn't consider anywhere else. I received free oils changes for the life of my vehicle when I bought it, still always took my truck to HRS. They're the ones I trust.

HRS Automotive is the only place I will take my car. Although I could go somewhere closer to home I continue to go there because they have always been so honest and straight forward with me. I've never had any problems with them and the customer service is top notch. I haven't found a shop that I can trust as much anywhere else. I always recommend them to friends!

These guys are amazing. Awesome family-run business & everyone is so kind. So sincere and honest. I blew a real bad flat & even though they had been closed for half an hour, they immediately patched it up beautifully & it got me around for months until I bought new tires. If parts or services were cheaper elsewhere, they've always been honest. I've had other mechanics look at my car & give me insane estimates but then HRS will give me a student-friendly budget prices & a flawless fix. Never had I had a repair there & then come up with other issues like you do at some shady places. Then my dealership Glenn Hyundai of Nicholasville tried to tell me I needed a new shifter assembly for over $800 and potentially a new transmission for over $6000 after I had just sent it in for a simple recall installment (that took 3 days) & involved a $5 part. The head of the service department told me my car still wouldn't go into gear & was "just as it had been left." HRS had it for ten minutes and told me it drove fine. They're just sincerely caring & empathetic & I cannot recommend them enough. They've saved my nerves & my pocketbook on a number of occasions. If you've had a similar experience, please comment, because these guys do not get enough credit to their kindness.

These guys are good, honest and fair. I've taken several vehicles to them for the past 8 years or so, and i've always had a good experience. They've never tried to sell me on work I didn't need, and one time didn't even charge me at all when I had an issue that ended up being a simple fix. I try to do most of my own work on my truck, but when there's something I can't handle, I always go with these guys.
