I have had some bad experience...

Definately reccomended!!,I have had some bad experiences at several repair shops until today! The owner of RJ Nick was awsome and his mechanic Sean was great! They were not only very very friendly but extremely knowledgeable and honest. They were the only ones to actually use a diagnosyic computer on my car instead of using the hand held basic code reader. By using an advanced computer they were able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my car. The other places told me they didnt see a bad code so they couldnt tell me what was wrong. What a joke! Anyway they repaired my car extremely fast. And gave me a great price. NEVER did he try to upsell me or BS me about the issues. As a matter of fact my GF and I sat around and talked to Nick for about 30 minutes afterwards. I have some other work that needs done and he said when I am ready to just come by instead of pressuring me to fix the issues right then. I will definately use them again and HIGHLY reccomend them to anybody. Cant say enough good things about them. I wish when I moved back to Tx in August that I could bring them with me.

did an engine swap the engine they put in was faulty they refused to fix it I told them I was going to take them to court when I picked my vehicle up it was covered in leafs they had unhooked all my sensor wires put a bad radiator cap so it would leak gold me it was a blown head gasket I told them I will see u in court looking in my car they took out hose clamps so it would leak broke my brand new distributor wires and told me my warranty was voided because I ran it hot these people are crooks I paid them 3400 dollers they told me I put stop leak in my radiator which I did not they ruined my vehicle which was running when I brought it in now I'm replacing the engine they put in they are crooks stay away if this saves 1 person I'd be happy I have also heard from mechanics who have worked thier they purposely over charged ACS to make you come back in these people are horrible they only care about money the old owner was a good man but he passed away I feel bad for his legacy and has anyone else noticed that it's either 5 star review or 1 alot of those 5 star reviews are fake from friends or people paid to do so

I feel completely ripped off by this place, on Monday October 12th I took my van to them to get a compressor for the air conditioner installed I got the air conditioning unit from Advanced Auto and RJ Automotive charged me $407 to put the compressor in vacate the system and recharge the system. I took the van to him and told him I was hearing a strange noise last week he told me if the van started making the noise drive to him quickly so he could hear it. Well that never happened yesterday smoke or order out from underneath my van the compressor is no good. The compressor is warrantied through Advance Auto so it's no problem getting another compressor but when I called RJ 14 days after he did this work he told me the work is not warrantied and he would gladly fix it for 407.00. Oh yes two days after you put the units in the serpentine belt broke my husband had to replace that as the shop was closed and I told RJ and his mother that I am a caregiver for my 95 year old grandmother and I can not have my van off the road. to me I think RJ is an a****** and certainly should give me a break in putting the new compressor in but frankly I don't think I'd go there anyhow because they don't know what the hell they're doing

Have taken my vehicle there for a few months. Had front and rear brakes replaced on 09/11/14 - today the brakes went out already after less than 5,000 miles 11/21/14. Was told they would take care of it. I got a call 5 minutes before closing saying it was finished. When I arrived, I was presented with a $263 bill for new pads and rotors On the front. I was told it was because I ride the brakes. (I don't). He then got mad and said I was lucky that he even got the work done because his father passed away and he was supposed to be at a funeral. When I told him that if he was unable to meet an obligation, he should have been up front about it and I would have went next door to a shop that does just brakes and tire repairs. He got mad, threw the brake pads against the wall and told me to "get the f*ck out of here, I cant believe you just said that". I paid the bill, yet he refused to give me old parts back which I requested. Had to call local police, which he finally gave me the pads. The police had to go inside with him to get the rotors back. The rotors were fine. He said they were gauged beyond repair. There weren't any grooves at all. Not warped. My previous repairs were one just under a grand for brakes, ball joints and replace one brake line. And a few weeks later the brake booster went out and that was 460 dollars.

Had an oil leak and took it to RJ Auto. Turns out Jiffy Lube screwed up my oil change by not putting drain bolt back correctly. Very nice family run business. They only charged me $15 to fix. Could have asked for alot more. I will get my oil changed here from now on instead of trying to save only a few bucks at Jiffy Lube.

What a great surprise to find an honest auto repair shop that's literally within a mile from me! Wasn't sure what to expect but I received an honest quote to fix my car and so I figured I would give them a try.
They had my car done in two hours! I was happy to let them keep it all day but they didn't need it. Looks like I've got a great place to take my car from now on. They didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. Did the job right, the first time, so I definitely will be back.

Don't live in the area full time so I found this shop on yelp with a 5 star rating and decided to stop in for a price quote for a tune up and oil changed we needed our our PT Cruiser. Was greeted by Shawn the manager and given a written estimate of services at a fair price. They were able to service the car right then and there and was even given a ride to and back from my condo just down the street while the service was being done! Will use again and again for any further service we might need. Highly recommended!

I had a excellent experience at RJ Automotive. They diagnosed my problem which was a radiator leak and fixed it promptly for a fair price. The manager, Shawn is a straight shooter and explained everything about the problem and repair with no fluff or bs. Thanks, RJ Automotive

We found RJ Automotive when our van had a problem while on vacation in Indian Rocks Beach. Being away from home and not knowing anything about the repair shops in this area was stressful, but I have nothing but good things to say about RJ Automotive. The manager Shawn was totally honest about the problem and didn't tack any extras on to our repair. He diagnosed the problem quickly, made the repair within 2 hours and we didn't lose any vacation time at all. If you're away from home and have a problem with your car, I definitely recommend these guys for honesty, quality work and quick turnaround time. Thanks for the help!!

Brought my Yukon in for a clanking noise which I thought was the brakes. After a quick drive they found it was my U-joint. They also found I needed a new belt. They had the car fixed and ready within just a few hours including an oil change I threw in. Thanks for the quick accurate service. 4 1/2 stars.
