I first came here after doing some comparison shopping and they have been my go-to mechanics ever since. The receptionists are always nice and the mechanics are very professional and sincere. They usually explain the problem in the way that I can actually understand (You'd have more luck explaining how to boil water to a Martian. I'm that clueless when it comes to cars). And when they can, they show me the broken parts (just like your cat brings you dead birds. Not sure what they are, but it's nice to be able to see what service they performed). I had a major repair two years ago and they always kept me posted on the progress, and actually scratched one of the parts off the original estimate because the part was still working as it turned out. Talk about a no-nonsense service. A+

I'm a very happy longtime customer of AAMCO in Beaumont. During the last 5 years I've brought my 2 cars in on numerous occasions for various repairs and maintenance. What I've learned is that Dicky, Val, Kim, and Scott are incredibly conscientious and ethical, and they earned my trust from the beginning. The reason for this particular review is that last week I needed a bulb changed out and they took care of it quickly and at a reasonable cost - I probably could have done the work myself but it was easier to call them and set up an appointment for the work to be done correctly. Kudos to the AAMCO crew for being so good to me. It's reassuring to drive down the road knowing that if something breaks (and let's face it, all cars break down from time to time) then I have the good people at AAMCO to treat me honestly and fairly. Car repair can be incredibly stressful and when you have a good shop, you stick with them.

I am a single female new in the area and needed a place to take my car. I started here for an oil change. The customer service was good and what I originally went in for was handled but I had a number of other services quoted. I considered returning for those services until realizing that the most important quote included something I most likely didnt need. When I questioned it they insisted so after a free second opinion I discovered I was correct and in no way needed the parts. I paid about 50% less elsewhere.

Quick and inexpensive. Broke down in Beaumont, passing through town. Expecting the worst, I authorized a lot but it wasn't as bad as I feared and they got me back on the road just doing what was needed to get back rolling. I couldn't be happier given the circumstances.

I had to take the time to write a review and let everyone know what a wonderful experience I had with this business. I had broken down on the side of the road and was getting no help from my insurance company, I limped my car into AAMCO, and Kim and her staff were a blessing from God. They diagnosed my car, let me keep it at their facility while I worked things out with my insurance company, and even gave me a ride to a car rental price. They could have charged me anything and I would have had to pay it, but they charged me a minimal amount. I cannot say enough about their honesty and the quality of their work. They saved the day! In a modern world where customer service usually consists of talking to a computer, this was a breath of fresh air. Thanks!

I trust my cars to AAMCO - over the years, I've brought 2 of them in for all kinds of repairs as well as preventative maintenance. Full disclosure- I am close friends with the owners, service manager, and lead mechanic - what that means is that I see from behind the scenes how they really care about their customers. They really go the extra mile to make sure that the diagnoses is correct and that the repairs are done in a timely yet thorough manner. Beaumont is a small town, and they have been in business for many years and serve many lifelong customers - that speaks volumes about the quality and consistency of their work.

Kim is a horrible customer agent at AAMCO i was there last year for a repair last year and they were great but this time she was a disrespectful and horrible no customer service what so ever. First I had to get my car towed there when i get there she is on the phone my tow guy asked where to park the car i waited in the office for 10 mins while she was on the phone then i said Ma'm because my tow guy and i were just waiting then just put a finger up in the air telling me to hold on. Next my insurance paid for the digonostic fee because my total was $998 for my muffler and pipe i couldn't pay it for a couple weeks so my insurance company towed it back to my apartment i told her i would back the next day for a receipt so i can know what needs to be done she gives me a hand written receipt which i thought was weird because last time it was typed up and she had a attitude. Next my insurance company did there own estimate there estimate was $270 big difference but i let Kim know that she needs to just send my insurance company a supplemental estimate because they just need to know everything that needs to be done with my car to make sure there not trying to make me pay to much . Basically after i asked her to do that she acted like she couldn't do it and that i needed to contact there estimate guy and get a car part number i said cant you just fill it out they just need that information to make sure that you guys aren't trying to make me pay to much and they will cover the rest the whole entire time Im on the phone with her she is not trying to help me or send off the supplemental estimate to my insurance company. She advised that they probably missed something and thats why there estimate was low and i said thats the point of the supplemental estimate my insurance company wants to make sure that they didn't miss anything any they want to know what you guys did. She told me that she would call my insurance company so i called her 30 mins later and asked if she has called she said no and that she has other customers so basically i wasn't a customer i went off on her because I have been none thing but nice and i need my car fixed i will never go there again KIM is very rude and NO help but what goes around comes around karma is a bitch. I will be getting my car fixed somewhere else because all she did was stress me out on something so simple all she needed to do was to send the estimate off to my insurance makes me think that maybe they did try to overcharge me !! I DO NOT RECOMMNED THIS PLEASE KIM IS A HORRIBLE PERSON MAKES HER COMPANY LOOK VERY BAD!!

We took our 1999 Crown Victoria here for overheating (side note: we had just paid Aamco in Dallas over $500 to fix this issue). The Beaumont location told us that there was a blown head gasket that they could possibly repair (I'd it was not cracked) for $2,600.
We sent the car to another repair shop for a second opinion, and lo and behold, the engine passed the pressure test, indicating there was NO blown head gasket! What had happened, in reality, was that the Dallas Aamco had done a shoddy, incomplete repair job on the radiator.
So, I will be leaving a review for the Dallas Aamco, but the Beaumont location won NO brownie points at all for trying to take advantage of us, after being ripped off by the Dallas location. The ethically and morally right thing to do would have been to give us a correct diagnosis, obviously, even if it meant that the company would end up having to do rework at its own expense.
