Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears. If you need a state inspection, do not. I repeat DO NOT go to Community Car Care on Little River Turnpike. Their business name is a misnomer because they don't care about your car. The technician, Khalid, broke one of my knobs that controlled the defroster setting and lied about it. The manager, PJ, believed the technician over the customer and quoted me over $150 just to take a look at it. They ended up replacing what they brok... See More

Love this place! They always do a great job for a fantastic price. The guys working here are very honest and fair. They have done a great job with our cars - from little things to big things! Once they kept our old Saturn for a whole week to figure out what was wrong with it; after several other places gave up. Their conclusions were totally on target and enabled us to keep the old thing running just fine until we could purchase a newer car. Would recommend this place with no reservations!

They gave great service and were super friendly. I had a groupon, so yesterday was my first time there. They went above and beyond what they had to do to make sure my car was acceptable. I recently had the pleasure to meeting Eric Hagen, Manager of Community Car Care at the Annandale Business Networking International - Action Referral Team- Group. In the past I have always been leery of taking my car to 'the shop' and even more fearful to take it to a dealership for repairs. I'm always afraid of getting ripped off. When I noticed that my van was *seriously* over due for an oil change (husband's fault, not mine) I thought this would be a great time to 'check... See More

I tried this place out being that I drive by it a lot. I took my 1995 Ford F150 for a state inspection. They were polite and very customer driven. The part that influenced me the most about this place is witnessing how they treat other customers. I seen how they helped a lady out with her tire pressure sensors. They didn't find anything wrong and didn't try to charge her for looking at her issue. This shows a true Community Car Care service. Thank you for your great service!

So I didn't know the difference between state emissions and safety inspection. Hence, I didn't know what the heck that sticker is that's placed on the front of vehicles. So when I purchased a Groupon for both emissions and safety, I obviously didn't know what I needed. I just knew the sticker needed to be changed.
Enter guy at Community Car Care. I pull up, open the door and am welcomed in with a big smile. I hand my keys over and shortly after, the guys calls me to the desk to explain to me the difference between the inspections. THANK GOODNESS!!!! I felt so relived :)...and all with a smile. Of course, he took extra money from me through the Groupon, but at least he was nice about it. Got my car back in a jiffy and was out and back in my car.

- Good, cold air on hot steamy days
- Magazines for you're enjoyment

I love this place. I find them to be very trustworthy and thorough, and if they screw something up, they make it right. But I've yet to have any major hiccups or reason to question the work they've done. The front desk guys--usually Jeremy or Keith--are affable and matter-of-fact.
The waiting room is among the nicest you'll find at an auto shop, with free drinks, decent (but sometimes struggling) wifi, HGTV on full blast in the background, and lots of seating. It's nice enough that I've hung out for a few hours and worked while they attended to my car and I didn't skip a beat.
I'm only knocking one star because their prices aren't the most competitive in the area. There's a slight premium to what they do, but to many it's worth it to have the peace of mind of ethically sound mechanics touching your car.

A few months ago I was at community car care ("CCC") to get a get a routine oil change. After CCC finished, one of their employees accidentally backed into another vehicle. I was concerned that I would have to fight CCC to fix the damage, but CCC paid to replace my bumper and even gave me a rental car to use during that time.
Although this was a careless mistake on CCC's part, I will continue to use them for my automotive needs because of their excellent customer service.

Sigh. I hate to downgrade a five-star review to a three-star review, but my recent experience left me with a bit of buyer's remorse.
I told them I was driving across the country and invited them to be thorough. To make a long story short: they made some questionable diagnostic decisions that cost me a pretty penny. Was told my transmission was leaking quite a bit (as in replacing the transmission serious) and I authorized a dye test to confirm the source. Turns out there's no leak. Nope. And no explanation for how there was cause to justify the test. Then, told my brake switch potentially needed to be replaced. To be fair, it did. However, the cost to replace it is the same price as the cost to diagnose it!
After all of that, I headed out on my road trip and realized they forgot to do the alignment.

Recently moved to Virginia, and needed a State Inspection (Safety and Emissions) on my car. The process was straight-forward, simple, and I was able to make a same-day appointment.
Unlike other repair shops, this one didn't try to up-sell me "repairs" I didn't need, or try to tack on additional service fees. (Unfortunately, as an early-20's woman, repair shops will assume I either don't know about cars, or don't know how much parts on my car cost -- which is infuriatingly not the case.)
The waiting room is clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be back again!

Reiterating other yelpers here, this place really is awesome. During my first visit, the mechanics realized my headlight required a special bulb they didn't carry but no matter, within 45 minutes it was delivered and I didn't have to make a return trip.
During my last visit, they provided complementary look to figure out an intermittent issue I was having. I was floored when they didn't charge me for the hour plus labor they put in. Another reason why the next time I have any issues or in need of an oil change, I'll be coming back here!

I came here to fix my heater core and my tire air pressure issue I had for a while. So for the heater core issue, while the cost was expensive, it was expected for something like this. I took my car prior to the dealership and they charged more and did less! Community Car Care charged less and even did a oil change and engine air filter change and it was still less than the dealership! Awesome! While the repairs did take a while, they kept me updated and informed on how the process was going.
For the air tire pressure issue, it was a hassle free experience. The price was very reasonable and the issue was fixed!
While the location does not have a lot of parking, I highly recommend this place for all your car repairs! I would highly suggest that you call in advance and schedule an appointment since they do get booked up fast, especially on the weekends. Also, check out their website cause they do offer some online coupons. I'll definitely be coming back here!

Excellent service center! Found this place by chance when i bought a oil change voucher from groupon. Been here twice so far and they do a amazing job. The location is very clean and spotless.
They provide excellent customer serivce and there is unlimited coffee available for the caffeine junkies and water bottles for the health conscious. It's always a quick in and out visit. They do a thorough job in everything they do. Most service centers i've been to are dirty and usually lack customer service skills and i always feel like they try to scam you into spending money on unnecessary stuff.
This place does exactly what you come here to do and they will fully inspect your car and provide suggestions in what you should get done without any pressure.
Their rates are very reasonable and they are honest about their work. Best of all my car loves them! So i'll be back to ensure my car gets the best treatment.

I DUNNO WHAT these people are talking about, I think people are not happy with the honest answer you get from Community Car Care. They are honest, fast and the prices are reasonable. Listen if you're driving a junker and you wanna get work done and they do a full assessment and tell you why your car is a junker fix it, get a new car, or go somewhere else. I took my car in about a month ago now. I'm planning to drive my car across the country to relocate. Checked my oil after the "so called" oil change and my oil was BLACK. Also my tires were never rotated so how can I trust that the inspection was properly executed. Now I have to go to someone I DO trust to have everything re-done CORRECTLY. I'm honestly not sure what they did do??? I waisted money and time with these guys. What I thought was a good deal through Groupon set me back and if I never checked my oil myself before my trip I would probably have some serious damage 10,000 miles later. I plan to report the company to the BBB.

Going to get any work done on my car is about as fun as going to the dentist (yuck!) but Community Car Care made it a painless and helpful visit. My husband has seen them on a separate visit for his car and they did an admirable job indicating and fixing the problem in a short period of time. For my visit, I had to get an oil change and general yearly checkup on my Fiesta hatchback first thing in the morning. Not only were the staff friendly but they were also efficient and didn't try to oversell me on anything (unlike certain behemoth DC-area dealerships). They also told me what things I should be planning for in the future in terms of costs and parts (engine filter, new tires). You can tell that they run a solid operation with honest feedback and recommendations for their customers.
I will be going to C3 in the future for my yearly/factory warranty checks they run a great business and treat their customers with respect.

I've been a regular here for the past year and have had my car taken care of to the point I can trust. I decided to buy a groupon for an oil change that included a tire rotation and 27 point inspection just to continue on with quality service. Completely
With that said, I noticed my tires were not rotated, no inspection provided, and service simply lacking. Now I'm wondering to myself if my oil was actually changed, if they gave me the synthetic oil that was paid for or not... If the people taking care of the services don't know what's being offered, how can they do it correctly?

My local oil change place got bought out (or sold) so I needed to find a new place I could trust my truck with. With a perfect 5 star Yelp rating as well as being close enough to home I knew I would have to give a try.
Went in on a weekday morning and was helped by the general manager Eric. He set my oil service up, and asked about how I had heard of them. Very nice atmosphere.
It was about an hour to get my oil changed, a cost 33$. Not a bad deal for a quick and friendly place where I plan on returning to.

Personal experience: I usually don't like auto mechanics or service centers but this place has made me reconsider my distrust for mechanics. I came here for a safety inspection and emissions testing because of a groupon I purchased. The service was quick and the staff was very pleasant. Juan, the gentleman that worked with me, informed me that my car was good to go (only took about 15 minutes ) BUT I had a bulb out. So I told him to go ahead and fix it. Soon after Juan, very pleasant & helpful, called me to check out. This was the beat experience I've ever had at a service center.

Very cozy

The guys at community car care are awesome! I took my car in for new tires, emissions, and alignment. I ordered the tires online and had them delivered directly to the shop. It took them three hours to install the tires but it wasn't because they were slow. The sport tires that I ordered have very stiff side walls so it was hard to put them on the rims. Additionally, they only use plastic bars to put the tires on the rims so your rims don't get scratched. Since it took a considerable amount of time to install the tires, they couldn't get to the alignment. They had me come back in and didn't charge me for the alignment! Great overall experience and one that will keep me coming back.

So, I ended up here on a Groupon to get an oil change and tire rotation. On the plus side, the scheduling was easy, lobby was clean and comfortable, and the staff seemed nice and professional.
While waiting, I got the pitch for other things wrong with my car - new tires and cabin air filter need replacing. The quote for tires for 195 65 R15 tires was $600 and $37 for cabin air filter. I declined both knowing the tire price was way high for my particular car. I have never paid much over $400 (incl. install & road hazard) to get all four tires changed. I also noticed their road hazard warranty is only 3 years or 36.000 miles where it is typically 5 years or 60,000 at every other place I have shopped for the same price. There was also another random charge for "shop supply" of $38 that I have no idea what it is for.
I almost changed the cabin air filter because it looked pretty nasty when they showed it to me but figured it must be easy to DIY given the "low" price. I told them to put it back in. I returned home and quickly found a YouTube video showing how truly simple it is and ordered a premium replacement carbon filter online for $11 delivered.
I learned the cabin air filter is changed through the glove compartment and had noticed my car registration on the floor of my car when I got it back. I then understood why and thought it was really poor workmanship to simply leave it on the floor of my car as you're trying to gouge me to have it changed.
In the days between, while I waited for my online filter to arrive, I noticed the car smelled especially funky when I turned on the A/C. It was so bad I avoided using the A/C during this time.
When I got my replacement filter, I scurried out to change it with my Phillips head and found that the old filter had been crammed and twisted back into the compartment instead of gently slid into place. I then understood the smells I had been experiencing and wondered WT# is wrong with these people?!
Changing the filter was super easy but the poor way this shop delivered on this small task, coupled with their outrageous pricing, random charges and lame warranty exemplified for me that this shop cannot be trusted.
I have the feeling that they smile in your face and screw you over on the other end.
I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is as perfect as it gets, I have lived in Northern VA for 18 years and dealing with anything relating to cars is a hassle. Everywhere I go, either they want to charge you for everything, belittle your intelligence or overcharge you. This place is the outlier to all stereotypes, they truly care about customer service, you are greeted by warm faces that automatically make you feel like you can trust them, they answer all of your questions and provide you with really honest feedback. Unlike other shops, they told me that I did not need to get the service I came in for done yet, as my vehicle was fine and even offered to not charge me for the checking fee if I came later and did the service through them- this was a no brainer after the service I got. Their prices are amazing and the place is very clean and organized.
I would recommend this place to anyone, as they get a 5 star for everything- car service, location/cleanliness, and customer service. Definitely coming back.

We've had our car serviced at CCC several times and have been pleased each time. CCC has the whole package: Great, professional customer service, mechanical expertise, affordable pricing, clean waiting area, and timely service. All of the employees that I've encountered are genuinely enthusiastic, respectful, and accommodating. You can tell they want to help you out and we really appreciate that.
Just yesterday my tire light came on and I was on the way to the store across town with my son. I pulled into CCC and asked them to help me out. They didn't even hesitate-- checked my air and put air into my tires and sent me off in less than 15 minutes. As a mother of a small child I am thankful for CCC's service and dedication. Mechanical issues aren't that big of a deal until something goes wrong and I always want to make sure we're driving as safe as possible. I TRULY appreciate the dedication, thoughtfulness, and sincerity of the employees at CCC. THANK YOU!

Found a decent place that treats people with respect and not trying to make it complicated for females. Already been here for the emissions and inspection, may as well do the oil change and the rotation... Have to find out about alignments since the streets are KILLING my car. *sigh*

Updated review: I've been coming here for a while now due to good reviews. Always get my Safety and Emissions Inspection done here. In and out in 20-30 minutes usually. Very clean spacious naturally-lit waiting room. Free bottled water and coffee and wifi.
But this was the first time I took it in to check on a non-state of Virginia mandated sticker thing.
I had a weird RPM surge I was having when the car was stopped. They said they'd have to charge me a fee for trying to figure out the problem, which I agreed to.
But then they were unable to find the problem, gave me an estimate for things that MIGHT fix it, but they stressed it's hard to say what the issue is without a check engine light. So then they didn't charge me for looking at the car. That is very honest and fair! I won't hesitate to take my car here or recommend friends come here for issues like that, you know they won't rip you off.
As other have stated, the inspection hours are 8am-5pm, which are less hours than the actual shop is open so plan accordingly.
There is not much parking in the front but you can park your vehicle in the back if needed, or along the side.

I absolutely love this place! Such an excellent car center. I've visited a couple times so far and I am so happy that I've finally found an honest car place that prioritizes excellent customer service and happiness. After getting scammed at another state inspection center, I came to Community Car Care, where they gave me a discount for my state inspection ($6 because I checked in on Yelp), were honest about everything, charged reasonable prices, communicated with me frequently and professionally, and were all-around awesome. Jeremy, in particular, was very professional and polite. And when we hit traffic and were running late to pick up my car after work, he went the extra mile and stayed a few minutes later to make sure we made it to get my car. That is really going above and beyond with customer service.
Also, they have an excellent sitting area - it's large, air conditioned, has a tv, free water, great coffee (I don't drink coffee, but my bf said it was very impressive coffee), etc.
I have come back again to get another issue with my car resolved and they have been excellent. They give you suggestions for additional recommended fixes, but they never pressure you or try to scam you.
They have been very timely with inspections, repairs, etc and they have excellent hours (Monday - Saturday, pretty much all day until 6pm).
The reviews really say it all and I don't think I want to visit another car center when there's Community Car Care around. Thank you, Community Car Care, for being honest and professional in a business where so many others are not.

I first visited Community Car Care in August when my car was making a crazy noise. I dreaded taking it anywhere because I was anticipating being charged a fortune for whatever the issue was.
I get to Community Car Care and, less than 10 minutes later, I'm on my way out the door with a silent car and only down $50. The tech checked my car, took pictures of the issues, and came out to explain it to me in layman's terms. By the time he could finish explaining, my vehicle was ready and the problem was fixed.
It would have been easy for them to fabricate any kind of story (I stopped at a couple shops before I went to Community and got all kinds of crazy diagnoses from guys who just eyeballed my car while I was still in it). Instead, I got a thorough and honest assessment. I knew about the $50 up front and, had there been a more pressing issue, it would have been absorbed in the cost of the service so I was good with it.
I've only been back for an Inspection but that was quick and painless as well. As you can tell from my rating, I'm a huge fan of the staff and service at Community Car Care. Check them out when you need to. You won't be disappointed.

I can't say enough about this place! Tire was going flat on my way to work. Pulled right in, they found the nail, patched the tire, and had me back on the road in record time. Very professional staff, as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic little shop. After getting ripped off by my dealer, I decided to go here for inspections and routine maintenance. No imaginary "problems" to fix, and fair pricing. I booked an appointment in advance, but they turned it all around in 45 minutes (on a Saturday afternoon, no less). Shoutout to Jeremy for great customer service as well. These guys are now my go-to as long as I'm in the area!

Let me just say it. Damn. If Community Car Care was a woman, she'd be a slender, long-legged blonde with a love for miller lite, steak, and likes to be around my friends.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that their quality of work far exceeds even the dealer shops, with pricing that doesn't make me want to deep throat the barrel of my .30-30.
I might just start coming up there to hang out with the staff.

I visited Community Car Care for some badly needed brake work for my car. I chose them based off their Yelp reviews and couldn't have had a better experience. I'm accustomed to taking my car to the dealer for service but needed to find an alternative shop with experienced repair techs who could offer more reasonable pricing for some services. The folks here were extremely nice, honest and did the repair quickly. They are located far from where I live, but I would definitely return.
If you are shopping around for a new repair facility, I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

I brought a car I was considering buying here for a pre-purchase inspection and was hugely impressed. Quick friendly service and an extremely comprehensive inspection. The technician highlighted problems with the car that most mechanics tend to overlook/ not investigate, broke down things to look for for me, highlighted what was just differed servicing/ vs repairs that needed to be made right away and spoke with me at length about the car. They even included price estimates of what the necessary work to get the car into fighting shape would cost. These guys are great- I'm still looking for a solid used car and want to take anything I am considering buying to these guys for a once over. They were thoughtful, helpful, and thorough. The price of the inspection was a very reasonable $55. They even have a complimentary shuttle so you can check out the shopping complex up the road while you wait. I also highly recommend the Korean place next door to the shop.

Almost a year later, and have brought two vehicles here for inspections, oil changes etc - and finally decided to get a bigger job done, based on them earning my trust from all the interactions over the last 18 months. They had advised me during a checkup that I needed a wheel bearing replaced, but never pressured me about getting it or anything else done- the original estimate was around $700, but they were able to apply a coupon and get the job down to something more affordable for me, thanks guys. I had just replaced the transmission elsewhere, a $3k job, so CCC working with me on price was very appreciated.
As per all prior interaction, from the phone calls, to greeting you, to completing the work - they do a supreme job, have outstanding customer service, and make getting your car worked on almost an enjoyable experience. Ok it is all enjoyable, except for the bill part, (lol) but even that they held true to the estimate, and did a great job with the repair.
Getting work done on a car can be stressful, because of the reputation some shops have helped cultivate, but these guys are great, don't play games, do quality work, and consistently provide outstanding customer service. So VERY appreciated.
Thanks Jeremy and Jeff and everyone, we'll be back.

Great spot.
Groupon deals are fantastic (often saving you 50% off off their competition's prices), service is friendly and knowledgable, and they're informative.
Came out and showed me my oil (which I knew was dirty) and recommended me a cleaning agent which they could put in for $30. I accepted.
Even with that, I'm still paying only $60 for a oil change with additional quarts, oil cleaning additive, rotation and complete inspection. I'm going to start coming back here regularly.

This review is for the emissions and safety inspection. I found a deal on groupon (score!) for car emissions and safety inspection test. I called ahead and asked to see if I needed to make an appointment, and they said the emissions and inspection is on a first come first serve basis. I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and the whole process took about 20 mins. I really like this place because it is very clean. The staff is very polite and friendly, and their is a waiting area with a TV and complimentary coffee and water.

I have recently started going to this place and I must say I love it. The staff here are gentle, courteous, polite and most importantly honest. I saved almost $600 fixing my car compared to a different car shop.
Eric was just great. He seemed to be a very knowledge person in his trade and wouldn't charge me a penny extra, without letting me know of the added cost involved. They provide fast & reliable service. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Had a slow leak in a tire. Went to CCC. Waited for about 30 min in a nice, clean, spacious waiting area with television, free WiFi, and free Keurig coffee to get a diagnosis. The manger said they could not find a specific leak so the simply re-sealed my tire to the rim in case that was the area where air was leaking. Told me to bring it back if it happens again. Because they did not find a specific problem, the manager said he was not going to charge me. That is absolutely the correct thing to do and is outstanding. This place seems very reputable and I will definitely go back. I also had the opportunity to observe several other customer interactions while I was waiting. I must say that these folks seem to really be trying to be the most honest, sincere, reputable car repair shop in the area, and it looks like they are succeeding. Kudos to them! Will definitely go back.

I've been coming here with Groupon oil changes for a while and have always been impressed, so I decided to also try there Safety Inspection Groupon and boy was that a mistake. I ended up leaving with brake problems, light problems and a fail on my 6 year old K&N filter. Usually they're really cool about everything, but this time I really felt hustled. Even when I told them I didn't want to replace the lights at this time they gave me that long, drawn out, "alriiiiiight". As if I am making this irreversible decision by not fixing them at that time. So, I brought my rejected car down the street and all that needed to be replaced were a few burnt out bulbs in the third headlight. Passed with flying colors! Great oil changes, bad inspections.

Thoroughly impressed with Community Car Care for more than just the work that was done on my car. Spoke with P.J. first thing in the morning and he could not have been more helpful and kind. He made a note for the afternoon manager to make sure that they could squeeze me in before they closed. They ordered me a tire, the same day. Once there, my car was taken into the shop almost immediately and I was warmly greeted by Jeremy. He confirmed the work that was to be done on my car and answered my questions thoroughly. The waiting area is clean and welcoming. Complimentary water, coffee, and wifi are offered. The work was done quickly and promptly. Jeremy applied a discount to my order for a miscommunication issue, and offered me a discount on my next oil change. This place has genuine employees who care more about customer relationships and satisfaction than their paycheck. I highly recommend this place to anyone for all car needs. They do all car work with the exception of body work and detailing. This business is a class act!

Impressive, impressive!
Thanks to my handy dandy Groupon, I went in today to have my VA state inspection done. Let me first start by saying I was in and out in 20 minutes. When was the last time you got your state inspection done towards the end of the month without massive lines and wait time? Exactly!
The waiting area is so not what a car repair shop should be. It smelled like flowers in there! Flowers!! Not greasy sweaty men! Seating was plentiful, the Keurig machine and stocked fridge with mini water bottles was an absolute selling point for me. They have made it into a comfortable and clean waiting area that doesn't smell like grease or makes you afraid of getting grease on your clothes when you sit down.
Seriously, I was impressed. I have already recommended this place to 2 other people.
I for sure will return next year for my emissions and state inspection.
Thanks for the speedy process CCC!

Here's a place that really knows how to treat their customers! I'm ashamed to say I have a car that ended up here more than it should the past two months but they always ended up fixing what has broken or rattling. Finally my car is all the way fixed. Unfortunately, I have to provide a less flattering update. My right turn signal went out again a few weeks after they replaced it. I took my car back for an oil change and to get the bulb replaced again. This time, after trying to replace the bulb, CCC told me that I needed a new "connection assembly" and it would cost $588. Before spending hundreds of dollars, I wanted to get a second opinion, so I took my car to a different repair shop in DC with stellar reviews. The other repair shop found that the issue was just a bent pin. Once they straightened it out, my turn signal worked just fine. I would have been out of almost $600 had I listened to CCC! This may or may not have been an honest misdiagnosis, but unfortunately I won't be going back again.

Great experience all the way around. I found this location on Yelp on Sunday and by Monday night, I'd done a night drop off for a hopeful Tuesday servicing and repair. I can't believe that I live less than 5 minutes away! The follow-up was evident, and thorough throughout the day, and the service was fast. I had recommended maintenance and rear brakes replaced in less than a day! I think that the costs seem fair, even if typical car expenses total a few hundred pretty much anywhere you go. The building itself was very clean and I was very thankful that the weekday business hours run up to 7p as I work all the way in DC. Jeremy and Milan were very professional both on the phone and in person, respectively. Find a new repair shop... Check!

I cannot recall ever having a notably pleasant experience at an auto shop. This was the first.
I dropped in for a diagnostic after having a few tire issues. They were quick to take a look (didn't actually need any pressing work done) and fill my tires up, for free. The man at the front desk was super nice and professional--he also did an excellent job of talking me through possible issues with my car. For all these reasons, I'll definitely be bringing my car back in the future.

Got a groupon deal for an oil change and I must say the experience was a good one.
The location - Right on Little River Turnpike it is nice and easy to find across from Jerry's Ford. The building is new still sporting a fresh painted look, comfortable decor and clean scent.
The experience - Once I arrived and checked in, I was not only greeted by the tech at the desk, but another in the back room that was on the phone saying "thank you for your business". Scheduled my appointment the day before and arrived about 15 minutes early expecting the standard mechanic shop delay to my surprise I was put in the bay exactly as scheduled.
Services offered- Oil Changes, State Inspections, Brakes, Tires, etc.
The loyalty point program and Keureig Coffee are a plus...

As women I feel we have a hard time finding a decent car place that wont treat us like idiots or tries to up-sell us on fixing things on our cars that don't need it. Well, I was an idiot as I noticed the expired state inspection sticker just yesterday (only a month late). I immediately took to Yelp to find a location to get this done ASAP. I found this location close to my house, and after a quick internet coupon search I bought a groupon for inspection and emissions. When I called saying I needed both ASAP and I had purchased a groupon, they advised I could stop by anytime without an appointment.
So I swung by after work, my car was taken for inspection a few minutes later, and I was in and out in under an hour- both state and emissions- for $20! The establishment is super clean, very open with free water/coffee, and magazines to read while you wait. everyone was super friendly, too! No up-selling, no trying to pull one over on me simply because I am a women, just right to the point of what I needed. I highly recommend coming here for your car needs!

Came here through a Groupon (
) for a state inspection and emissions test. The waiting area is very nice (probably because it's pretty new), they've got two car bays (which means they're a cozier shop) than the typical auto shop that has 10+ bays, and the service is professional, informative, and friendly.
Out of ~75 reviews, they've got almost all 5-star ratings, and a few 4-star ratings. I'm giving a 3-star rating, because they strongly recommended a rear brake and service adjustment ($68). I had a another shop check it out, and they didn't find anything. I'm sure that after all these years, the brakes would benefit from servicing...what part of any car (or electrical, mechanical, electronic equipment) wouldn't? But if it isn't necessary, it shouldn't be so strongly recommended.
I tend to be an essentialist when it comes to car maintenance. That is, I do what only HAS to be done, especially given that my car isn't worth a lot of money. So I don't like being strongly encouraged to incur expenses that could be omitted. But the fact that they have so many and such positive reviews (a tremendous rarity for an auto shop) means if I ever did HAVE to have a service done, that I would probably do with it these guys.

These guys are awesome! On an oil change last year, they informed me that my transmission pan is leaking -- the repair I'd spent hundreds on at the Springfield Chrysler dealership to fix a year before!! They let me know about the problem, told me about the repair logistics, and upon hearing my story, they recommended I go back to the dealership to let them know about their botched job (and get them to fix their mistake). Very professional and didn't push me to stick with them for the fix.
I'm here again for an oil change, multi-point inspection, and tire rotation. I asked if they could take a peek at the transmission pan as well, and he was more than happy to jot the note down as it would be an easy task with the car already on the lift.
With that said, I TRUST these guys. They are nice, informative, and incredibly helpful. And that's hard to come across in the auto car industry.
I tell all my friends about this place and definitely recommend them!

Even the response to this review - Keith is lying. Who did you let us speak to above you, again? Why don't you post the phone number to the "owner" of the five stores that we need to file our complaints with?
Did you really need to "verify with the state police" about a BASIC procedure on a car? That sounds absurd and falls right in line with the absurd procedures that you recommended on our car.
Also why do you sound so condescending towards us? This is the same lack of respect that you had for us when you tried charging us for UNNECESSARY repair work.
You're clearly an incredibly condescending person who is still talking like someone who lied and you continue to lie. You work at the FRONT DESK and you didn't even remember my name when I came to pick up the car! I really hope the people reading this review can see thru this and really really hear what I'm saying here.
In fact, your attitude is downright disgusting and you still act like we don't know what is going on with OUR own vehicle - which is running PERFECTLY after MIDAS did the job and Toyota double checked YOU and that saved us $$ THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS $$ in YOUR UNNECESSARY REPAIR work.
When we went to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, we realized that they weren't even registered with it. This "locally owned" corporation - which is more than likely owned by a company called Superior Auto Group LLC - and they WILL NOT let you speak to anyone above their sales (ahem - customer service) desk-manager.
Here's exactly what happened to us: We brought in a Toyota Highlander. We went in for an oil change and a tire rotation. Got a call 5 hours later, saying that our car was nearly totaled to the tune of THOUSANDS PLUS in UNNECESSARY REPAIR WORK. They said the brakes were warped, gaskets were blown, catalytic converter was rusted through, Keith even went as far as saying that the TIMING BELT needed to be replaced.
So we had them do the oil change and the tire rotation. We went and got two second opinions (the Toyota dealership and Midas). Both saying that none of what they had said was true. What was true was that they tried to charge us $1200.00 for a catalytic converter that didn't need to be replaced, timing belt had literally just been changed two months ago at the dealership, $800+ for brakes, he even tried selling us tires, wiper blades and "headlight buffing". We asked, Keith, who gave us the quote to write up all of his recommendations and to give us a price, and he refused. He was going for the big sale because he wouldn't even put anything he said down in writing - he didn't put down the price quotes or any of the dozen plus unnecessary work-order items he was going to try and charge me for. He also kept using the "safety and emissions" inspection as his selling point as to why we needed to get everything replaced - it was incredibly easy to see through.
I would NOT recommend even getting an inspection done here as what happened to us - has probably happened to many unwilling participants in their care-care charade...When all you're good for is a GROUPON OIL CHANGE - it's time to call a real mechanic!
Again, when we went to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, we realized that they weren't even registered with it. When their company refuses to be a part of a real organization that is looking out for the LOCAL CONSUMER - BUYER BEWARE!!
This guy Keith is a LIAR through and through and complaining to anyone will get you nowhere - it's best to just avoid places that treat people like this altogether.
We went with another corporation called Midas and they actually have accountability therefore that saved us an incredible amount of $$$ OUR HARD EARNED MONEY $$$
We recorded his phone call on the recommendations and we're considering a lawsuit because the amount of money he tried stealing from us went beyond GRAND LARCENY.
..and again, I'll retort your LIES below:
1.) what kind of car care place would really need to call the state police to see if they could do a basic procedure? ANY PROCEDURE.(period) - you should just KNOW what's legal and what's not - do you really think people will believe that you called the state police to confirm a procedure on a catalytic converter??
2.) Especially considering that the ACTUAL problem was just a LOOSE HEAT SHIELD and NOT THE WHOLE PIPE and DEFINITELY NOT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER and definitely not a patch-job like you're still claiming!! We have two WRITTEN opinions and a working car to prove that!
3.) Keith, your lies are incredibly easy to see thru and I think that I've proven my point beyond a reasonable doubt.
4.)You are CONTINUING to LIE and this time you actually PUT IT IN WRITING and again - it's very very easy for the world to see that now.
Thanks again. We really appreciate it. That response from you was PRECISELY what our attorney needed to see to move forward in conjunction with the rest of our evidence against you.

This review has been longgg over due so my apologies to Community Care Care in advance. I had moved and then started having pregnancy complications, but all is well and now I have my little one :)
ANYWAY - enough about me.
I really do not know where to start with these guys. But as most people know, it can be quite difficult finding a reputable and trustworthy auto repair shop. These guys have gone above and beyond every time I have brought my car in, whether it be for a minor repair or an oil change or something bigger. I had issues back in February with it and it was hard to pin point exactly what was causing it to shut off at idle. Instead of doing trial and error and possibly making it very costly with repairs that might not work- I was only charged for like one repair and they replaced all parts that were possibly making my car shut off and my car has not shut off ever since. Oh and I also agree with the reviews on here from the women - you do not have to feel intimidated coming into this place. This is definitely the place to go. They also have courtesy shuttle service. THEY EVEN DROVE my car back TO ME AT MY HOME after my repair while another worker followed in the shuttle car.
So in a nutshell - I, 110% recommend Community Car Care. I recommend them so much that I have made the decision to still travel to them even though I have moved to Centreville, VA. Its about a 25 to 30 minute drive now, but well worth it knowing that my car is in good hands among trustworthy guys.
This place is truly blessed.
Oh and ps - the inside is very cozy, friendly, and they always have coffee and hot chocolate and candies out :)
Cheers !

A few months ago, my go-to mechanic sold their business, and I was upset to have to look for other alternatives. I was relieved to find Community Car Care.
I used a Groupon deal to get a routine oil change/tire rotation, but I drive a car that's got a solid number of miles on it. When I go to a new business, I usually expect some "stretching of the truth" and getting a laundry list of items that need to be repaired. I was surprised that this wasn't the case with Community Car Care at all. They were polite, efficient, friendly, and most importantly, honest. That is the best quality that any auto/mechanical business can receive. Although they may not spin a profit off of a lie that was told, they will hook returning, reliable customers for life due their honesty.
I'm happy to say that I will look to them first from now on. :)

tl;dr Friendly and willing to communicate. Saturdays are crazy at the beginning/end of the month. Any non-inspection work is better done during the week. They goofed up, but made amends. Will be back.
This tale begins with a safety inspection and an oil change. I came in mid-afternoon on a Saturday; they could do the safety inspection, but couldn't fit the oil change in. Seems inspections are what they're geared for on Saturday; anything else they only have a few mechanics for.
Failed the inspection due to a torn axle boot and cloudy headlights, so I brought the car back after work on Wednesday. They didn't complete the work on Thursday, but fortunately, I typically don't drive during the week. Picked up Friday after work and it seemed they'd left my car until last. I eventually get my sticker and they give me a discount to make up for the delay.
After getting home, I check my oil and it's low and very dark. They forgot to do the oil change. I bring my car in the next morning after going to the DMV and they immediately agree to do the oil change without any argument. Unfortunately, the place was swamped with other cars and it takes hours to get it done. The upside is that they did my emissions inspection for free (I lost my DC emissions paperwork). The downside is that I watched a lot of home improvement/house flipping shows on HGTV.
While I was waiting, I saw a number of people come in with questions about potential repairs and inspection issues; the staff were very honest, straightforward, and willing to help prioritize repairs and explain why things were needed, even how various components worked. No hard sell, just laid out what was going on. They were also very patient in their explanations.
So, great guys in the front, but they need more mechanics in the back.

I really liked this place. Service was great and seemed to be honest. Came here because my front tire kept going flat, they never really found a problem with it except a lot of debris around the tire. Since nothing major was done, I got charged nothing. They did do an oil change and noticed I had a leak. Fortunately none of it was too expensive to fix. My oil change was cheaper than going to Jiffy Lube and service was much better.
Waiting room is super clean with a Keurig machine. They will also give you a courtesy ride if you are having work done on your car.

5 stars for handling a problem quickly, professionally, and thoroughly. Thank you!
It was my first time here. I got a standard oil change and tire rotation. After the tire rotation, I noticed my car was pulling extremely hard to the right. Took the car back and told them what was going on. They made a recommendation to move the tires back since the car drove fine earlier. But I disagreed and asked them to rotate another way. They took the time to offer me their thoughts and recommendations on this, but ultimately did what I wanted to do. I'm by no means a mechanic, so I was a little weary of could they have done something to my car. But they handled my complaint perfectly, and once the tires were rotated in a different way, then the car pulled slightly to the left. So I know they did nothing wrong! It was the wear on the tires bc they hadn't been rotated for a very long time before that.
I've had some pretty bad experiences with car places being that I'm a female, but not here! (Like try to sell me things I don't need, tell me things are broken (when they're not), or even worse have actually broken things on my car before and then denied doing it.) But, I did not have any of those issues with Community Car Care. I didn't feel taken advantage of and the guys seemed to operate on an ethical basis.
I think customer satisfaction is easy to achieve when everything goes your way, but I was impressed at how they handled my complaint AND achieved customer satisfaction.
Keep it Ethical, professional, fair, and knowledgeable, and doing a great job, and you've gained one more Loyal customer for car care!
I'll definitely be taking my car in to this shop for my car needs from now on!!

So far I've had good experiences until this time. Called and set up an appointment and asked if they could honor the groupon price for an oil change before and they said ok. Came in for my appointment and Keith was the person at the front desk. His service was very cold not personable, asked him I come here for my oil change all the time and that's what I have been doing and whether he could do the same. He said you have to buy it online and I asked him if it's still available he said probably then I found it isn't. It's an easy override for him to take care of a customer, it's annoying... I'm going somewhere else now for the same price while he could have easily honored the same deal like all the other times each person I dealt with in this establishment. I wish Keith good luck in his career.

Very happy with CCC! Easily the nicest, friendliest and most modern auto repair and tire shop I've ever been to. Highly recommend to anyone who cares about their vehicles. Very comfortable and accommodating waiting area with coffee, chairs and TV to keep you entertained while you wait. Can't say I've ever seen that from a auto repair place before.

Took my SUV here for a 60,000 mile service and was surprised when I was quoted over $1700. Despite the price seeming ridiculous I decided to go forward with the service since I was in a hurry to get the service complete.
Apparently after the service was complete the technician forgot to put the lug nuts back on one of the wheels. The wheel fell off while backing up and severely gouged and scratched the rim (this is the only damage reported to me... for all I know there could be additional damage).
Community Car Care made arrangements to repair the wheel and provided me a small discount on the service... not nearly enough considering the mistake that was made. Additionally, the rim had to be repainted 3 times since the color did not match on the first 2 attempts resulting in several wasted hours of my time driving back and forth to their shop.
Won't be going back here again.

Went in for a state inspection and had a problem with the car. They told me I failed inspection and I was trying to ask questions on how to get it fixed and what to do. The guy at the counter just would say bring it in within 15 day. Can I make an apt? Just bring it in within 15 days. How much will it cost? Just bring it in within 15 days. How long will it take. Just bring it in within 15 days. Thanks for acting too busy to help me really understand what to do to get it fixed. I'll get it worked on somewhere else.
They did the inspection in the time they said so I bumped them to 2 stars for that. My service was not close to the 5 stars they have now.

Community car care is top notch! I was welcomed by Jeremy, who was very knowledgeable with the many question I threw at him along with taking care of all 4 of my cars, can't thank him enough. They are very quick in attending walk - in so that's a thumbs up for me. Prices are fair can't really complain too much but the free refreshments and most definitely the coffee really makes up for it.

The Yelp reviews are all true. These guys are superb. Eric was very courteous when I called to get information and schedule an appointment. I often feel as a young woman that mechanics tend to try to take advantage of me as if I was born yesterday but they are different. Jeremy was outside sweeping when I arrived and yet he still managed to stop his sweeping just to greet me and ask how he can help. Juan helped me at the front desk and he was very courteous and informative. Explained everything to me thoroughly and I truly appreciate it. It's hard to find trustworthy auto service people. Thumbs up!

Stopped by Community Car Care after reading their reviews on Yelp. One of my rear tires had a slow leak causing me to add air every other weekend. Nothing major, but pretty annoying when you use the metro and have to fill your tires before you use your car each time! Anyhow, despite being busy they saw me in a reasonable amount of time quoting me an honest wait time. They weren't able to find the leak unfortunately, but tried very hard inflating the tire to over 60psi and doing a submersion test. Since they couldn't find anything they didn't charge me. Ideally I would have loved to have them find the issue, but cannot complain at all about the work they did.

Took my truck here after getting a very expensive quote from the dealership for a 100,000 mile tune up, service air bag light on and check engine light on. Keith was great and gave me a rundown of things over the phone before bringing it in, I dropped it off on a Friday night, they were able to do extensive work to get everything fixed including the tune up in one day for about $1,000 less than the dealership quoted. Keith and the mechanic both stayed 2 hours after closing to finish my truck for me so I would have it for work Monday. Overall, great experience, amazing customer service, and quality work. Will definitely be back for any work I need done and recommend their service to anyone!

I found out about this place through Groupon and was highly impressed with their service. I spoke with Jeremy on the phone who was very professional. He was able to get me an oil change appointment within a couple hours. After assessing my car, he told me that my drain plug for the oil compartment was too tightly screwed in and that he would have to replace it. He was very nice and didn't charge me for the plug (even though I insisted he did). The facility is spacious and clean and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this place.

Went for a car inspection. Several other were waiting , each of us failed and each of us were give estimates of 100s of dollars to fix and then pass. I think not only is it a conflict of interest it's a bit shady also.
I was told my right front engine mount was not working, and tail lamp, the later I could see the former I could not I was also told that the former poses no danger to the car. I was given an estimate of 667 dollars and then they would pass me.
Not sure what all the good reviews are about, but this place is no different than others in my experience.

I purchased a Groupon for an oil change and 27 point inspection. I called to schedule an appointment and spoke to Keith who was friendly and accommodating. I typically like to arrive early for vehicle service appointments as a courtesy, especially being a new customer; however i got a bit tied up at the office and I arrived at my appointment about 5 minutes late. I was immediately greeted by Justin who was super friendly and got my information into the system right away. I was up front with him and informed him that I had not had an oil change in QUITE some time and he gave me the warranted tisk tisk (i deserved it). He let me know that I may need some additional items that would benefit my vehicle and try and undo some of the damage possibly caused from such a lengthy time period. He got my vehicle back right away and I waited in the lounge area for about 30 minutes. It was clean, plenty of seating and reading materials, as well as coffee/water. When he came out to show me exactly what color my oil was after 3 quarts added...black. I took the hint and gave him the go-ahead for the additional product. About 45 minutes later my vehicle was ready and they informed me of a few other issues with my vehicle and checked me right out. I am not someone who likes to sit around waiting for car services but the guys at Community Car Care made it pretty painless so I have no complaints. When I need more routine maintenance I will definitely consider these guys again.

This is the best auto shop I've ever been to. Eric and Jeremy are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They explain every issue in layman's terms and give all the necessary information for you to make the best decision about what to do with your car.
I have never felt like they've tried to make me pay for something I didn't need. They tell you their honest opinion and let you decide how to move forward. I have stopped in on multiple occasions out of the blue (flat tire, headlight out, brake light on), and they have always been as accommodating as possible to help me figure out what's wrong and fix the problem.
I will not be going to another auto shop while I live in this area.

This team takes their "Community" moniker to heart. I was in for my emissions inspection today when the computer read that my CAT and EVAP monitors weren't ready to be inspected.
Fun fact: Getting your car's system upgraded resets the computer and you need to drive it through a "Drive Cycle" before all systems are ready.
Juan and Jeremy were awesome. They were very clear as to why the inspection wasn't ready and asked me to take my car for a spin to try to get the monitors online. I took a quick trip up 395, down past the National Harbor, then the beltway to the Little River Turnpike. Voila - car is ready. They even stayed a bit late for me to run the inspection.
So it rocked for me. But there's more. I overheard the guidance they gave other customers. They were very warm and friendly. They took the extra few minutes to explain the process and provided car care advice to anyone with a question. They definitely earned my trust through listening to their interactions. They embody the definition of service. No one in the waiting room seemed to be perceived as a number - which is refreshing.
All the best! I hope the business thrives and they can apply their Community Service philosophy throughout the region.

The only auto shop I would sit in!
Community Car Care is the standard other auto car shops should follow. There wait area is comfortable and clean and doesn't smell like a auto shop.
The service here is exceptional. They really take the time to care for their customers.
I brought my husbands vehicle in for a repair that another mechanic said we probably needed and Eric and his team assured me I didn't. They checked it out and found out it was something else. I went in expecting to pay one amount and came out paying less.
They also kept in communication with me with the shops smart phone. Letting me know the status of our vehicle all throughout the day which kept me from guessing. Usually you have to call the mechanic. This was a huge plus for me!
I will continue to bring my husband's car here. And as soon as the warranty runs out on my vehicle I will bring my car as well.

I had brought my g35 2005 6MT to fix an engine overheat problem. The radiator was clogged and it needed a new radiator. Got a new radiator (after market) and thermostat couple of hundred dollars cheaper than the other place I go to. Eric is the one I usually speak to and he has always been helpful and courteous.
Another time I had my engine splash guard come loose. And it was hanging and scraping sometimes when I go over a bump or pot holes on the road. He fixed it free for me.

I've had a couple of good experiences with these guys. As far as I can tell, they are extremely honest and forthcoming about issues they find with your car, and they don't pressure you to make costly decisions at all. If they find something wrong, and you'd rather have someone else take care of it, or find the part yourself or something similar, they do not get pissed at you, as I've had some guys do in the past.
I would recommend.

The Best.
Came in to get a noise checked and see if I needed fluid flushing as suggested by another auto repair shop.
Here's what CCC did:
-Tested my car and confirmed that my car was A-OK.
-Confirmed that (shockingly) I did not need the expensive flushes recommended by the other, also highly Yelp-rated, shop.
-Picked me up and dropped me off at the Van Dorn Metro.
-D i d N o t bother to charge me for taking the time to give my car an extensive inspection.
Really knowledgeable, helpful, friendly guys.
By FAR, the best experience with any service in VA to date.
Thanks, CCC!

Fantastic service. I bought a gropoun for an oil change. I called and the guy who answered the phone was pleasant and told me to bring it in. Once I got there he took all my information and was kind enough to have someone take me to get break fast while they serviced my vehicle. Once completed he told me the few things I needed to get fixed and gave me a estimate. Very nicely explained everything that I didnt understand. Overall fantastic. Comfortable place to sit and wait, bathroom is always clean, free coffee and tea, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They try to accommodate you the best they can and get your out the door as fast as possible. Eric Hagen, the store manager is super friendly and tries to make the customer happy.
You also can get a complimentary ride to the metro if you need to be on your way if your wait time is too long or you need to be elsewhere.
I compared the pricing the dealership gave me and Community Car Care definitely saved me serious money, even pointing out something the dealer said I should have done soon but didn't need to be done for another year! I have been to CCC before with the Groupon inspection coupon. This is my first visit for some major work -- hope the repairs fixes what it was supposed to, but I have not had enough driving time to test it out. One complaint is that there was a cigarette butt above my car's firewall beneath the hood. Seems like everyone was helpful at CCC.

We first used Community Car Care when we bought a Groupon for a state inspection and oil change. We've been hooked ever since!
Eric and Jeremy are great! My boyfriend had an awful 07 Jeep Commander w/ 142k mi that needed to go. We had the check engine light come on a few times and each time CCC honestly and reasonably estimated the repairs. Finally, after the 2nd or 3rd time, they discovered a cracked head gasket. Instead of wheeling and dealing us for repairs, they offered we could do a quick fix bandaid solution that may or may not solve the problem by using some solution that can be poured into the motor to seal any cracks for under $100 (they didn't even offer this service but laid it out as a possible remedy and offered local names who could do this), repair it for 6 grand or suggested (and encouraged) getting rid of the money pit ASAP. They even offered their opinion/advice if we needed help buying a new car. Wether it was out of pity or kindness, it was genuine.
I've brought my car (06 Hyundai Tucson) to CCC a few times as well for oil changes and minor maintenance work. My last visit was for rear breaks and a new rear wiper blade. They didn't charge any labor for replacing the blade (which seems reasonable but I can assure you the dealership/STS/pep boys etc. all would've charged a half hour or more labor for 15 seconds of work...) and didn't tell me I needed another $3000 worth of work when they returned the car. The brakes were reasonably and competitively priced. I also asked about resurfacing my headlights and instead of charging me the $120 to resurface the headlights, they suggested I could go to AutoZone and purchase the DIY kit for $20. Their honesty may have lost them $120 in buisness in the short term but I promise you has gained them a customer for a lifetime.
As someone who is skeptical any mechanic/auto body shop is out to rip me off, I highly reccomend Jeremy and Eric at CCC on Little River Tpk! They aren't out to nickel and dime or price gouge customers and will honestly offer you all your options for repairs- wether they do them at there facility or not.
Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program, use their military discount and they have local shuttle service if you need a ride home/to pick up your vehicle.

I would give zero stars if possible.
I called this place before taking my car in, and explained the problem; it was an issue with my windshield washer fluid motor. They agreed to fit me in that day or the next, so I dropped my car off. I never got a call the next day, and had to call them to find out the progress on my car.
It was then they told me that they were unwilling to fix my car. To clarify, they did not say that they were unable to determine the issue, just that they "DIDNT WANT TO GET INTO IT ANY FURTHER." And to add insult to injury, they blew the fuse that functions my windshield wipers and essentially left me with a vehicle that was less functioning than I dropped off.
It is a good thing I checked my wipers and was able to quickly change a fuse, because it would have been terrible to be out in the rain somewhere with no wipers.
I will NOT visit again.

I have had to go here several times for different car issues I've been having with my BLACK CADDY (they know me from this statement the caps - lol) lately.
I used an extended warranty company (ROUT 66) and they took it without issue.
I've had some pretty advanced work done on my car, including ECM replacement and reprogramming, throttle control module and harness, all my wheel bearings, and most recently my steering rack.
All I can say is they are a professional crew in there. They do the work right THE FIRST TIME (finally an auto repair place gets it!!). The car drives like new, and I am a very happy customer. The auto techs they have there are in my opinion top notch.
I hate that sick feeling I get when I go into a garage for an estimate or to have work done INCLUDING THE DEALER. I feel like I'm going to get taken for a ride so to speak. The sad thing is most times I am pecked to death with little "extra fees"!! I REALLY HATE THAT! Here they refrain from that practice which is also another good reason to see them when your car is sick.
Bottom line is, If you want your car done right the first time look them up. All I can say is they will handle the issues you have, professionally. They may keep the car a day or two longer BUT what's it worth to have the thing running great and NOT having to take it back three times to have the SAME issue fixed?? I say it's PRICELESS!!
Thanks fellas, I'll see you at the end of the month with my X5 too!
Peace

I went to Community Car Care today after picking up a Groupon deal for an inspection (I happened to notice last night that my inspection had expired over 3 weeks ago -- woops!).
After a friendly greeting, they got my car into the inspection bay right away, and I settled into their comfortable waiting room (complimentary coffee/tea and bottled water available for patrons). I had brought a magazine along with me to read, but barely got through the first couple of sections before they let me know that my car was ready. Seriously; this was the quickest inspection/emissions check I've ever had done.
One glitch -- apparently my wipers needed replacing (both were starting to rip at the end, which I hadn't noticed previously). It cost a little more to get the wipers there than if I had gone to the auto parts store ($22 total), but I was glad to just get it over with and have them installed then so I could pass the inspection right away. Even so, the grand total for the inspection (with emissions test) and the wiper blades was a tad under what just the inspections would have been at another station without the discount.
I was very pleased with my first experience at Community Car Care, and will be happy to recommend them to others.

My two experiences with them thus far have been very good and I leave feeling like I received honest advice and good service (not always the case when you're a woman at the mechanic).
During the fall of 2014, I traveled nearly 12 weeks off and on for my job. When I returned from one particularly long trip, I started my car and noticed violent shaking and an active check engine light. CCC is in my neighborhood and had been recommended by a friend of a friend, so I drove it down the street to them, used their shuttle service to get to the metro, and went to work. A few hours later they called to tell me that although the check engine light was on that there was nothing actually wrong with the car other than a few suggested repairs that were unrelated to the check engine light. They recommended new tires at some point telling me that 3 of the 4 had worn down a bit. This was correct as I'd replaced one tire only about 8 months prior. They also recommended a new battery before winter and showed me the printout of the battery diagnostic. I appreciated their complete honesty and, for that, I decided to continue to take my car here.
Fast forward to today (January 2015) and after some snow, ice, and very cold temperatures, I decided it was time to get the new battery they had recommended as I'd had a couple of mornings of slow starts. Just to make sure I really needed a new battery, I took my car by a chain auto parts store to have them run a diagnostic and they confirmed that my battery should be replaced very soon. I took it by CCC this morning around 8 a.m., with no appointment, and they were able to replace the battery and get me in and out by 8:45 a.m. (they were actually ready about 8:30. 15 minutes of that was me taking the time to purchase the $50 for $75 Yelp deal). I heard them mention to another customer that they were completely booked up the rest of the day, so it may have been a combination of luck and the fact that replacing a battery is not complicated. Nonetheless, it made me very happy that I was able to get in and out so quickly.
In all of my interactions, they have always been very friendly, personable, and respectful. Based on my experiences thus far, I highly recommend them.

I just had my first experience here. I purchased replacement tires online and brought them in to CCC for mounting. Certainly had a far superior experience than previous ones at NTB or Merchants. Entire process went smoothly, from scheduling an appointment to having the work done while I waited. Waiting room was clean, staff was friendly, free Wi-Fi so I could get work done while I waited, and good coffee. No surprises on the service, and the cost was very reasonable. We will definitely go back for other needs.

Very pleased. My husband and I just moved here from NYC and were used to dealing with dishonest car service centers that would charge a ton of money every time we needed our car inspected for one reason or another.
After our move we chose Community Car Center after reading positive reviews.
We were greeted by Jeremy who was polite and very nice. We left our car there for inspection (dreading how much it'd cost). Our airbag light was on and the car failed inspection. We were told that it'd be about $100 to diagnose the problem. Much to our surprise we got a call later letting us know that they easily found the problem and did not charge us a diagnostic fee! We appreciate their honesty and great customer service, so they will have 2 new long term customers right here!

Very friendly and quick but nervous about my first experience... They failed my car for parts that were brand new (replaced two months earlier) and then upon review decided to pass the car. Then they said this part would fail based on movement but upon reviewing the guidelines from Virginia, the guidelines state that it is only to fail it broken. The mechanic commented that he has failed other people for movement which is the wrong standard.
They did fix the problem right away and everyone was friendly about it but it still concerns me that they weren't following the guidelines set by Virginia.

I went here to get new tires. The first time to place an order for tires and the second time for them to install. Over all the experience was great. The staffs were super friendly and nice. Two minor issues are they didn't put the right tire pressure for my tires(one tire was only at 28) and they didn't give me the exact tires I verbally asked if they had. I made a request for specific tires and they gave me the same brand but different tires. I still give them 4 stars because I like supporting local small businesses and I will go back.

I'm updating the review because Eric at CCC came through with stellar customer service and made things right. CCC picked up the car, diagnosed the problem as the battery, replaced it for free and even threw in new windshield wiper blades. Now that's a gold service award :) The only reason I'm still at 4 stars instead of 5 is the length of time it took to figure all this out...I was without a car for two days since hubby needed to take mine. Not sure why the initial diagnostic didn't detect a bad battery. But in the end, all is well. Thanks CCC :)

Have taken my car here multiple times. They always offer superb service at a fair price. Never feel like I am being steered into unneeded repairs. The service there is honest, trustworthy, polite, and speedy. Would recommend them to friends and family.

Went here for the first time based upon other yelpers, and was pleasantly satisfied with the quality customer service and their thorough communication with me about my car's diagnosis.
I took my car in because of a steering wheel pull expecting to get a tire rotation and wheel alignment, but was told it needed more inspection and was finally told that my tires steel belts were faulty so they replaced them with the alignment and all.
It was quality work, all in all, only qualm I have is that I waited a week to pick up my car and there seems to be some new small noise in my brakes (which they told me about and don't think it was overtly exacerbated by their work). Those were the only reasons I gave them four stars, although I was very satisfied overall and would absolutely visit again for any other work done on my car. Go here if you care about having a good experience with your car, especially if youre someone like me who knows little about cars.

Had my car in and out quickly, and the deals are great. I got a safety inspection and emissions test, and then ended up getting new windshield blades, too. Eric was very helpful and friendly, and I felt like the whole shop was very trustworthy in general. Will definitely be going back and whole heartedly recommend.

After moving here from Philly, I was skeptical to get my car fixed around here as my Dad had warned me about being overcharged and suckered into repairs that aren't necessary. I saw the reviews for this place and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! My car passed inspection, which took less than 45 minutes after just walking in. I received half off for being a new customer and walked out happy having only paid $8.
Jeremy printed out a copy of recommended work and took time to explain it to me, even giving me an estimate and telling me about the Groupon deal. I called my Dad who said it was a repair that my car very likely needed and the price was fair.
The waiting room is pleasant and clean with keurig, water, television, and magazines. However, it's the friendly honest people there with excellent customer service that really stood out and won me over. Going back today for that recommended repair and just got my Groupon to save $25!

I found this place through groupon. I was in desperate need of an oil change and $17 for a tire rotation and an oil change was too good to pass up. I have a regular mechanic that my family has used for years but I can see myself coming back to Community Car Care in the future.
I know very little about cars and I am leery of taking my car anywhere but my mechanic but these guys were fantastic. I arrived a few minutes after my 7am appointment time due to a terrible ice storm and there didn't seem to be any problem. My car was taken in the shop quickly and I was out in about an hour.
I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Thanks!!

Best service I've ever had! I was there twice in three days, first to replace some belts then to replace a flat tire. While other place (Pep boys and Tires plus) quoted me outrages prices or were short mechanics, they gave me fast and honest service. I would take my car to them before anyone else. Oh and the hand the cleanest bathroom and wait room I've ever been in!

Long story short: I highly recommend Community Car Care for routine maintenance (oil change, air filter change, cabin air filter change, tires rotated and balances, inspections, etc.) They are much better and can be trusted more than a chain store. They are, however, not the place to take your cars for repair.
The long story: I went to Community Car Care with four new wheels. My old wheels had become corroded and weren't sealing with the tires. In a stop gap measure, I put a product called "Green Slime Tire Sealeant" into the wheels and then was deployed for four months. Upon returning, one tire was completely flat, the other's maintained pressure. I bought new wheels. I inflated the flat tire and brought the new wheels to Communty Care Care (along with the car). I also brought them a power steering pump to install in my car.
I gave them instructions to remove the tires from the old rims, clean them up / remove the slime, evaluate them and replace them if necessary, install them on the new rims and balance them using only stick on weights on the inside of the wheel. I also asked them to do an alignment. And, to swap out my power steering pump.
The swapped out the tires like champs. All tires checked out. They know tires. They even mounted them so some curb scuffs I had were not visible. They charged only a nominal fee. It was well worth it.
They, however, could not do the alignment because the mechanic who used their machine before did not charge the remote sensors that are part of the machine. They freaked out about the power steering pump and recommended I take it elsewhere. (Their hourly rate of $105 is a little steep for the quality of mechanics they have anyway.)
All in all, the work they actually did for me was phenomenal. I would recommend coming here for maintenance on your vehicle, over a chain store. They will really take care of you. For repairs, go to a real garage.

Best local car care place. We used to go to Smith's Center which was in the same place. I was worried at first, but they were very friendly, detailed and great price.
We went in to find out why our turn signals weren't working anymore. Not only did he check for that, but he did their entire evaluation check. He ended up not charging anything since there want anything really wrong.
A big plus is that they have a complimentary shuttle service. The waiting area is a nice clean simple modern space with television. They also have free water bottles and pretty good keurig coffee too.

When I was living in NJ, my 2013 Honda Fit was worked on by only one dealership because my uncle was a Service Advisor and I knew it would be taken care of. Moving down to VA, I was very uncomfortable with the idea of having to take my car to strangers. I live about two blocks away from this place and decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. They have the best customer service and so easy to work with. Today, I tried to get a last-minute oil change before the holiday drive, but unfortunately they were booked. Instead of shooing me along to find a place to take my car to, they actually recommended a place to work with that would be able to do the work for me. There was no way any place in NJ would've done the same. Even though I'll be moving further away, I would definitely still make the drive and return to this place.

Yet again I find myself compelled to write a review for CCC. The customer service is incomparable. After jumping through hoops to get all the stickers necessary to live and park in Alexandria, it's a breath of fresh air to not have to think when getting my car serviced. Had my plates put on and my check-engine code read at no cost to me. Jeremy and Aaron worked together to secure my plates even when I didn't bring screws with me. Their more focused on my needs and what's financially best for me rather than taking money for the hell of it. I'm glad I found this place and while I'd like to keep it to myself, it's important to acknowledge greatness when you experience it.

I have a 2006 Ford Escape with very high miles. I just moved to the area so I was nervous about taking my car in to get a safety/emissions. I went here because of a friend's recommendation and I am so happy I did! These guys are friendly, honest and accommodating. I took my car for a safety test and unsurprisingly there were issues with the front axle boot and tie rod that would cost $600 (which after researching is a fair price). I left my car there and when I came back (they waited for me after closing because of traffic), they informed me that they double checked and actually didn't have to replace the tie rod, saving me $350! They could have still charged me for the tie rod since I had already agreed to the original estimate but they were honest. I will definitely be back for other services!

I went in to get my vehicle inspected for emissions and safety. The guys there were very helpful and got me in almost immediately. The inspection took less than 30 minutes and they had me in and out with very little hassle. The assistant manager, Jeremy, was extremely helpful when I had a couple of questions about the DMV and where to go when my car passed inspection. For all the questions I had, he either had the right answer, or directed me to where I could find the answers I needed. I will definitely be back here!

Car inspection is very cheap in this store if you buy a groupon. However, the labor is very expensive (over $100/hour). It is ridiculous. I changed one low beam headlight and one taillight here. It cost me $31. I recommend this place for rich people. Poor people should be aware of this place.

Great shop, came in here twice, prepurchase inspection and state inspection, both went fantastic. Showed me first hand the issues to justify any recomended jobs. No pressure though.
Had a weird engine noise, but they said it was too small to tell what the problem was.
Issue is being a bit more prominent now, will return for another check this weekend. I'm sure they will can have it fixed. Will update review then. 5 Stars if they get it fixed!
Ps. Complimentary apple cider does not taste like just sour water. Thats a plus for me.

Would give 6 plus stars if I could. Just go! You will not be disappointed.
Take it from a woman who has seen more than her share of blatant disregard, disrespect and other words that come to mind... when at the mercy of auto mechanic shops...
I am a skeptic by nature and was reluctant when I noticed their 5 star average rating.
So I proceeded with caution when I dropped off my late model roadster on Saturday.
My car issue:
Car would not start. All major mechanical issues pretty much ruled out, but needed a shop to diagnose the possible cause, as we lack access to specialized required equipment.
(The back story for your reading pleasure: My car was at Ourisman Buick GMC in Alexandria for 3 months, just sitting there waiting for the nationwide ignition switch recall work to be completed. Car was running fine when I dropped it off; not working AFTER the "repair/replacement" was complete and told I had to pay $1000 to replace a starter;
Of course I did not surrender to their demands and sought out alternative options, after they refused to return my working car in working condition which I (savvy consumer) thought was a just demand.)
Now back to my raving review :)
Juan took my info. I mean everything. Took notes on everything that had been ruled out as a possible cause.
Explained the possible $105 diagnostic charge for the complexity of the issue.
What blew my mind was his following comment "If the guys can't figure out what it is, I have no problem calling you and telling you that we can't figure it out. We are not going to charge you for that and I have no problem admitting that to you; should that be the case."
Wow. What? Someone pinch me.... :)
Result:
Car was ready on Tuesday.
Paid $55 for a loose wire (which was the issue)
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
You have my business for as long as I live in the area.
And anyone that will listen.... will get my recommendation!
A gem in the business!

(Note: I'll preface my review by saying it applies to cars with low-profile tires.)
After reading all of the 5-star reviews of this place, I decided to have them install 4 tires on my car. Setting up the appointment was easy and they were friendly enough on the phone.
I was told that the installation would only take an hour, maybe a bit more. Fine enough. Much to my dismay, an hour passes by and I ask for an ETA and the manager tells me that the service tech only had one tire installed and it was taking him a lot longer than usual due to the low-profile tires on my sports sedan.
In all, it took over two hours to install 4 tires. I've gone to the car's dealer and other indie shops in the past and it's never taken more than an hour or so to put new low-profile tires on this car. Maybe the tech was having a bad day?
The manager did comp the installation cost, which I definitely appreciated since I ended up missing an important appointment due to the extended service time.
Conclusion:
*Stay away if you have a sports car or any car with low-profile tires and want fast service. Their shop and/or technicians are not properly equipped to deal with them (at least quickly), so you'll end up waiting at least 2+ hrs.
*Customer service was pretty good. Amenities in the waiting area were excellent. Bathroom was very clean.
I'd give them 4 stars for customer service and 2 stars for installation, so average is 3 stars.

Definitely the best car place I've been to in a long while! All the workers are awesome. They're honest with you, which I love most...on top of prices. They won't try to break you out of all your money or lie to you. I went to Subaru for my oil change when I first moved here and they charged me $50+ for just basic oil change! Ridiculous! Plus they told me my breaks needed to be changed since they were at a 3 almost 2 but it would cost a fortune and told me they could hear squeaking on them and had the nerve to ask me if I had heard that...I knew my breaks were still at a 5 cuz I had them checked so community car care checked for me again after the visit with Subaru and they told me they were fine. Again, Community Car Care will be honest and take great care of you. Overall it's an awesome place!!! Definitely check it out! :-)

The customer service is outstanding! Eric and Jeremy run a clean, customer-oriented establishment. Their integrity is what stands out the most. While working on your car, if they observe anything else that needs attention, they will make note of it, show it to you and explain everything to you. You do not have to get the work done, however, nor will they pressure you to do so. They are big on safety and education when it comes to their customers.

I can't believe of how awesome this place is. I've never liked auto shops because they are generally cramped for the consumer, but this one is not. They have a lot of room and actually have a nice amount of windows . I used to get my emissions and state inspection together and bought the wrong Groupon for this place. The staff was understanding and did the service and just took the credit from the Groupon.
Turns out state inspections are only $8 from when I came, which blew my mind because I generally pay more than that.
I made an appointment and was out of there in less than 30 minutes. Even though I scheduled the wrong service, they adjusted and still got me out of there quickly.
This place is probably as good as it gets for repairing a car.

Read reviews on Yelp and took advice to visit here for my annual tune up using a Groupon I found online. Always intimidated about visiting these places, foreseeing being taken advantage of as a woman, but upon arrival was a very friendly welcome, they explained their process, had fairly reasonable prices and were prompt in completing the service. The waiting room is also very clean and had wifi for me to use while waiting. Would recommend getting an appointment versus walk-in as saw many being turned away given availability of bookings.

We take all of our vehicle concerns to Community Car Care!!! The rare instances (all of once out of the last 2 1/2 years) where we've had a problem they couldn't fix directly, they referred us to someone who was equally as wonderful with service and customer interaction! The employees are always super courteous and we have yet to have an instance where we felt cheated by anyone there. Last year we had a problem with our vehicle not passing inspection, and they gave us ALL of our options - including one outside-of-the-box option - not just the ones that would benefit them most. I highly recommend this company to everyone who drives a vehicle in Northern Virginia.

**A MUST READ FOR WOMEN**
I went believing that my car needed its rim repaired as this was the reason my tire wasn't able to stay full. Jeremy greeted me and was very straight to the point--no BS, no sell. He even told me best suggestion of where to get a rim for lowest cost. I asked if they could put the spare on for safety, and when he came to look at the wheel he said they'd take a look at it.
While I waited in the clean, well cared for front room, I over heard both Eric and Jeremy on several phone calls and talking with clients as they came in. During the years, I've learned NOTHING says more about a place than they way they act when they forget you're in the room. Every time, I was pleasantly surprised by the care and attention they gave each customer. The prices were best rate; the discussions were honest; there was never an up-sell or an over estimate especially when it came to time. Jeremy even apologized to a client for "not calling enough" ... when does that happen?
Because Community Car Care took the minute to actually care rather than just slap on my spare and go, they discovered my rim was not a problem at all but a 4" nail in my tire. Jeremy even took the time to show me what real damage to a rim would look like versus what I have. They patched me up in little time.
It's very, very rare that as a women I walk into an auto place an am treated like a person, period. Little do most places know I have 2 years of Auto Tech experience, so I know when I'm being given the run around. These two are running a top notch service facility. I absolutely plan on handing out the business card I took to my colleagues tomorrow, recommending them to my family, and going to them for all of my car needs. I hope they keep this place going in the same state it currently is for ... well, ever.

Called here for an emissions test to see how long the wait was. They said there were 4 cars in line, so probably about 45-50 minutes. It took me 25 minutes to drive there and by the time I was there there was only one car ahead of me. The waiting room was neat and clean, football was on and they offered me bottled water. I was also eaves dropping on what they were explaining to other customers and they were very clear about what they needed and gave a price right from the start. Great place, good guys, and I plan on coming here when I need work done.

I recently had a horrible experience at a another shop and when I arrived at community car care and I was hesitant to trust this place. However, after the respect and honesty that they showed me I am relieved to have finally found a decent car shop! After being told by my dealership that my car needed new front struts and being quoted an astronomical price, I decided to do some price shopping. I found Community Car Care with very high reviews on Yelp, and for good reason. I called and asked for a price quote, and while it was close to what the dealership quoted me, the man who answered the phone, Jeremy, told me that I may not actually need them replaced. He walked me through exactly what I needed to look for to tell if they needed replacing. That kind of customer service is really phenomenal. He didn't need to do that, he could have just told me the price and been done with it. Thank you Jeremy for being honest and not trying to take a helpless lady for a ride!

Wow...Wow...Not sure what else to day but am I glad I used Yelp and even more glad to have found this place! The Audi dealer was going to charge $800 dollars for my 55,000 mile check up. I didn't 'feel' anything wrong with the car but heck...maybe there was something I couldn't see?!? So before I went I decided to look on yelp to see if there were companies around that could do this type of work. Came across this place very close to my house. From drop off (night box is so well organized) to the first call I got at 9am...with an update to when I went to pick the car up. Felt like I was at a fancy dealership and my bill was less than $100...and I got an oil change, filter, inspection and 55,000 mile check up. Truly am spreading the word...what an awesome place. Super clean, very organized and nice techs that really are so respectful of their customers. THANKS!

I am exceptionally pleased with the service I received!!!! I have a Jeep wrangler and we all know how touchy Wrangler drivers are with their cars. I had both my differentials serviced and we also had a hitch with the ball bearing breaking and they hunted for part 30 mins before closing time so they can get my car out same day. I didn't end up leaving the store till 8pm but it was crucial for me since I was supposed to be in GA this morning for work. They explain everything step by step in plain english (for non-car-lingo-speakers) and are very accurate with their pricing estimates.
I highly reccommend them and will be coming back for regular maintenance and repairs.

Went here on Tuesday, 1/20/15 because of all the excellent Yelp reviews. My Honda Accord driver's side window broke - wouldn't go up or down. According to CCC I needed a new motor for my window. After initial "repair" I rolled the window down then up. It worked. Drove my car home.
Didn't use the car again until Thurs., 1/22 to go to a docs appt. Window wouldn't go down. Eventually it worked, then stopped working, then worked again. Brought my car back to CCC immediately. They worked on it for an hour. Told me it was now fixed (try #2). I went out to my car and tried window. It worked. I sent a text or two. Tried the window again. It wouldn't go down. I immediately went back in to CCC and told Juan. He came out to car - tried window a few times and it worked for him. He said to bring it back inside. I asked for a manager. He said mgr. would be in tomorrow, Friday. i told him I would bring back car tomorrow and speak to the manager. I called CCC Thursday evening to ensure that the mgr. would be there at 7am when we would drop the car off in the morning. I was told the manager's children are ill and he wouldn't be in, that I should bring the car in on Monday. I explained how we were supposed to have snow over the weekend and since the weather stripping on the window was now also "missing" since initial "repair" I didn't feel comfortable waiting until Monday. I asked if there was another mgr. or asst. mgr. I was told no. After a few minutes of back and forth with Juan he said "hold on". Eventually Jeremy came on the phone and said he was an asst. mgr. He said he would be in tomorrow morning to bring it in.
Friday morning we dropped the car off with Jeremy and another mechanic who said he did not do the initial work. I showed both of them how the door was off, the weather stripping piece was missing and how the buttons for the windows/doors were significantly away from the door place where it should be. The mechanic agreed with me and said he would get everything done right for us. He was very nice.
Jeremy called me at work later that day to let me know that my window switch now needed to be replaced. I asked "You just replaced my window motor and now I need a switch? How do you know I just didn't need a switch to begin w/and didn't need a new $330 motor at all?" He said no, the bad motor probably made the switch go bad. But the "good news" was that they would replace it for free. The bad news - they wouldn't have the parts until Monday. Did I want to pick up my car and bring it back on Monday? Or just leave it for the wknd. Since I am sick, I decided to leave it.
Today is Monday, 1/26. At 4pm I called CCC - since I had not heard from them since Fri. in reference to my car. I asked if my car was done. Juan said yes. I asked how come no one called to let me know. He said someone did. Strange - I have no missed calls on my cell phone. My husband I went to pick up my car. So far the window has worked fine. The door is back on the way it should be - mostly. And the fabric strip is back on the window. I got home and pressed the lock button on my key FOB to lock my car. It didn't work!! I called Juan to tell him that the key FOB was working fine when I dropped the car off on Friday and now it's not working. He said they did nothing to the key FOB, they fixed the window. He was curt and rude and not helpful at all. I asked to speak to the manger - Juan said he was not available. Is there really a manager at this place???? My husband called back to speak to a manager. Juan was also curt to my husband. After some research on the internet, it turned out I had to reprogram my key FOB. I have NO idea what they did to it while it was at CCC - but I am glad WE figured out how to fix this problem that they made happen.
I apologize for the long review - but I am BEYOND FRUSTRATED with Community Car Care. I am glad others had a good experience with them - but I will NEVER EVER return to this place and will take every opportunity I can to let others know my exasperating experience with this poor excuse for a car care center.

Took my car in for oil change and safety inspection. They found two nails in my rear tires. Took the nails out and said i was lucky that the nails did not puncture anything. They did not charge extra for looking at the tires. Overall good experience and excellent staff.

This establishment has been a breath of fresh air. Just recently moved to the area, my car suddenly developed a starter issue. For whatever reason, the problem would never occur while the vehicle was at the shop, so after a long set of diagnostic tests, I was told that if the problem reoccured, I wouldn't be charged for the same tests in the future. The exact same scenario occurred a week later, and true to their word, no charges were incurred when the vehicle again suddenly began operating correctly. At this point I had had enough with the car and have moved on, but I have no issues with the way the shop handled it. Never once did they try to push any possible particular fix, which considering that they never experienced the issue first hand, was very honest. Thank you all.

These guys are awesome. I took a car in for a pre-purchase car inspection. (With tax the inspection was under $56 while dealers in the area charge $200-$400 for the same inspection.)
While waiting for the inspection to be completed Jeremy took the time to explain common tire problems and bad practices some mechanics do. As well as the pros and cons he has with the car I was considering buying.
In the end they discovered a large number of major and minor problems that would have cost me over $3500 to fix. I can say for certain they saved me from making a bad deal.
I would recommend this place to everyone I know in the Alexandria area. A+

Always the best of service. Friendly and understanding staff. I've taken in two vehicles, and they always explain any issues and don't make up false diagnostics. I always over analyze any noises from my vehicle- they haven't bothered to charge me for my moments of paranoia.

Community car care not only patched my tire, but they also found that my rear ball bearings were bad and fixed them for me. This could have been a major issue down the line, so they ended up saving me money! They also were diligent with keeping me updated on the status of my truck while it was there.

I started visiting Community car care late last year after the shop that I used to frequent closed. Must say that their service has been nothing short of outstanding. These are what I like about them:
- Always upfront about costs;
- Explain issues thoroughly as well as potential solutions;
- Help prioritize items based on importance
- All that with very cordial attitude.
Yesterday, I called in the morning when both my cars (a Subaru Forrester and a Mazda 5) had issues: one with the Check Engine light on and the other with an issue with the brakes. Even though it was a packed day, Jeremy accommodated me. For the Forrester, it appeared to be an issue with the catalytic converter based on the code reader. Instead of asking me to get an immediate diagnostic (which is over a $100), he suggested I drive it for a day or two to see if it was just a false alarm. On the Mazda, he explained that it was a shoddy brake job from before (which happened to be a local dealership). He explained my options and his recommendation which was to lube them for now. To top all that, he waived the labor charges for the lube job.
If anything Community Car Care has totally changed my opinion about car repair shops. I have already recommended them to my friends and would recommend them to yelp users as well.

Finally found a car mechanic that I trust! Brought my car in for some rear brake replacement sort of expecting the worst based upon all my prior car mechanic experiences! However, they offered quick, affordable service and also suggested that I have them take a look at the differential fluid while they were replacing the brakes since it would be easy to do while the brakes were being serviced. Knowing that I had just had this service done and it wouldn't need to be done again, I told them to go ahead and look and let me know as sort of a "test" to see what they would say. Sure enough when they called they said that the rear differential fluid looked great and told me that service wasn't needed.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Friendly staff, good service and a nice waiting area. Took my car for inspections, will be coming back.
On a side note, their inspection hours are shorter than the regular hours, so make sure you give them a call to confirm beforehand. Don't rely on their posted open hours if you need an inspection!

I stopped in today with a Groupon for State & Emission inspection. The entire process took only 20 minutes, which was impressive for a walk-in on a Friday. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating, and professional. Additionally, the waiting space is clean and bright and they offer complimentary water and coffee. I will be coming back without Groupon too, for future service.

I have to say that I am more than sattisfied with the service I received from Eric and his staff. In the past I have probably taken my car to a different shop every single time, whether it was for an oil change, tires, service or whatever was needed. Now I can say I have finally found one that I can trust and look forward to bringing my car there every time. Even though it is about a 20 minute ride from Crystal Citym, it is definitely worth it.
I also have to mention that this has got to be the cleaneast shop I have been to. They offered me water, keurig coffee....simply amazing.
Thank You guys!

New to the area but this is definitely the best shop I've been to so far.
Environment: Very clean, relatively new, offers free wifi, tv, free coffee, water and bathroom.
Staff: Very nice, Eric the manager is very polite and helpful. In the hour or so that I was there, I heard him take the time to explain several processes to other customers who were less automotive-savvy.
The staff appear to all want to give great service. I brought in the yelp $75 for $50 deal and Eric said that I could use it and it would make the services free but that I could also save it in order to obtain the maximum value on the deal. He wasn't insistent either way just letting me know that I could potentially lose out on an extra few bucks.
Service: I came in for a tire swap and potential bad set of front struts. They affirmed my diagnosis about the struts but said that my uneven tire wear was actually from lower control arm bolts that were installed incorrectly by a previous shop. They didn't push me to buy parts through them but recommended that I take care of the problem first by trying the bolt, then the bushing then the whole arm.
Prices: Fair prices and allowed me to supply own fluids, tires, and parts. Most big box repair shops will force you to purchase through them.
Definitely going back.

Pretty good service even with the groupon. The guy behind the counter was very friendly. I had a state and emissions inspection and both went swimmingly. Don't go here if you're trying to eek out one more'pass' because they seemed like sticklers. Otherwise was in and out in about an hour.

The folks at Community Car Care were great.
I arrived just minutes after they opened this morning, exhausted after getting back very late from vacation the night before. I had a Groupon for a state inspection and an emissions test. They exceeded expectations. They were attentive, quick, and even had some AMAZING Keurig coffee at my disposal. I'll definitely be returning.

Got a Groupon for a safety and emissions inspection here, and had a great experience -- I walked in and had no wait (it was on a weekday afternoon), and it took them about a half hour from start to finish. My car is only two years old with very low mileage, and they did not try to sell me anything. In interactions with other customers that I overheard, they seemed very open and honest about the urgency of various repairs (saying things like "it can wait until next time, if you'd like").
A couple weeks after the inspection, I got a flat tire and brought my car back here to have it patched and re-installed. Again, I had no appointment and was seen promptly on a weekday afternoon. They charged me a reasonable fee, and were really friendly.
The waiting area is very comfortable, with cable TV, coffee, bottled water, and a restroom. It is also really clean, and has large windows so you can watch the action in the repair bays.
Although my car is fairly new and has low maintenance needs, this will be my go-to place from now on, should anything arise.

I have never had a bad experience here. I never feel ripped off and always feel like my car issues are addressed and discussed without always feeling "immediate". The wait can be a bit long on a weekend without an appointment, but it's been fine to sit while I wait in their new waiting room. I was recommended here by a friend and have recommended that all of my friends with car needs visit them as well. Definitely my go-to mechanic.

We just moved to the area 6 months ago and have been to Community Car Care 4 times so far. Once for the state-required inspection and emissions test, once for routine oil change, once for a check engine light situation, and once for a major brake repair/servicing. So I can safely say that my 5-star experience with the service and staff was not an isolated event. I've interacted with several different front desk people and mechanics and everyone has been polite, helpful, patient and on the level. I have been a car owner and therefore customer to auto servicing businesses for 30 years now, and I have never had such consistently good experiences as I have at Community Car Care. It's the first place I've gone where I haven't felt like I needed to be on the defense at all times. The lobby is also the most pleasant I've ever had to spend time in with wifi and complimentary drinks and very clean. Finally, they've gone beyond the call of duty a number of times by offering me a discount that I didn't even ask for, giving my husband a ride to the metro station after he dropped our vehicle off for servicing, and a quick replacement of my brake light when I was in a hurry (I didn't even have to get out of my van!). Bottom line is that I trust this business and appreciate their customer service as well as the quality of the work they perform.

Community Car Care is one of the most enjoyable car care experiences I've had in a long time. When I called earlier this week, Eric (the manager) was polite, took my appointment and agree to do a courtesy check on my car to make sure I was ready for inspected, since I was moving to VA from out of state. When I arrived for my 9AM appointment, they promptly took my car. The waiting room was immaculate and comfortable and offered complimentary Keriug coffee with a variety of K-cups. The oil change (only 19.95 for synthetic blend), and car check went well and they could give me the sticker for my car on the spot, which I happily accepted.
Additionally, gave me a write up of the status of my car including status of various fluids (transmission, brake, coolant, etc), adjusted my tire pressure to the correct values, and have me tired tread depth and brake pad measurements. These will be useful for tracking the health of my car as well as helping me out in my "learn to fix my own car" endeavors.
Lastly, Eric told me about the rewards program Community Car Care runs, which will give you a $10 coupon on your next visit and a 5% back in credit on repairs (in $10 increments). There are apparently also coupons available through their rewards site (
) from time to time.
Overall, it was a great experience and I think I found where i will be having my cars serviced from now on!

Deeply disappointed. The steering wheel on my 2003 Ford Expedition had become extremely hard to turn but the power steering pump was working fine. CCC told me I needed a new steering pinion, front end alignment and PS fluid flush for $1137. I bit the bullet and had the work done but it did not solve the problem. A week later I returned the car and asked them to look at it again. Now they told me the PS pump was not working properly and it would be another $400. Because I had not seen any signs that the PS pump was bad, I declined the replacement. I did some additional research and found a YouTube video which identified the problem (sticky u-joints on the steering shaft assembly) and was able to fix the problem with WD-40. I am already out $1137 for the first repair and, if I had followed their (bad) advice, I would be out over $1500 and it would not have corrected the problem. I have lost faith in their ability to properly diagnose problems and to look for the simplest and least expensive solution--FIRST--before moving on to expensive repairs. In my case, I feel like they did exactly the opposite and recommended unnecessary and expensive repairs first. I won't be going back to CCC.

I wish I could give Community Car Care more than five stars. Since I can't, I'll just let you know that I have referred every friend who needs maintenance or repair work to them--even a friend who lives in Chevy Chase. They're that good.
First, pricing. They quoted me a fair price on the initial work I needed to be done. It wasn't cheap, but after doing some research I found that they were cheaper than most other places in the area. Plus, Eric worked with me to give me a couple discounts which was awesome.
Second, customer service. Eric explained every little thing to me, which was nice since I am a person who doesn't know much about cars. He was honest with me about work that I could get done, but didn't have to do right away. When I took my car, they didn't have their shuttle yet, but one of the workers took me home in his personal vehicle so I wouldn't have to wait until my car was done.
Third, loyalty program. I love that I earn points there towards money off on future services. I also earned points for referring people. I didn't know this when I told people to go there, but those extra points will come in handy when I go back!
Check out community car care. I was looking for a local, well run shop and I found it. Kudos to Eric and the team!

I'm not much for writing reviews although I know I should since I rely on them to make so many decisions, but here we go. First off, it's typical for people to assume when they walk into any sort of auto place they will be taken for a ride. After reading the reviews prior to my visit, I felt confident this wasnt one of those places.
In regards to presentation the place couldn't get any better. Plenty of magazines, complimentary coffee, and water for waiting customers. Also, the bathroom was absolutely spotless.
Customer service was top notch as well. I purchased a groupon for a safety and emissions inspection for $20 and they were happy to see me despite it being a bit busy. There were a few customers in front of me, one which wasn't too pleased about the result of the inspection however the employees not only handled it professionally but resolved the situation with a happy customer at the end. These people clearly aren't in the back looking for excuses to fail your vehicle in order to make an extra dime, so understand they have a job to do and you'll be just fine. With that said, my vehicle did not pass but the reasons were completely understandable. Now many auto shops will use this opportunity to milk you like a cow during the depression, however the guy at the counter explained to me the most cost effective and reasonable means. With that said i'll fix the issues and return back to get my check in the box -- easy day. It's obvious these guys operate on integrity.
With all that said i'll surely be returning to these people for all my future automotive needs and recommend you do the same.
-Cheers

I found Community Car Care through Groupon ($17 for an oil change & tire rotation - yes please!). I drove past numerous other service stations on the way there from my house in Arlington...and I will now do exactly the same thing every time I need something done to my car even without the Groupon.
It was worth driving 20 minutes out of my way to be able to go to a car care place that A) didn't seem shady at all, B) didn't reek of BO and/or tires, and C) did exactly what I needed and educated me on what else needed to be done to my car and when - WITHOUT pressuring me to spend excessive amounts of money right away on things that were unnecessary or could wait.
Eric was polite and incredibly helpful and explained everything to me in a way that I (someone who doesn't even know how to put air in my tires) could understand. He also explained their rewards program and got me signed up for it so that I can earn points for discounts on future car services - Sweet!
Add in the fact that they got me in and out in well under the hour estimated time frame they had given me when I got there and it was all in all a fantastic experience. It was honestly the only time that I have ever left after having work done on my car and thought, "I will actually recommend that other people come here". Great job Community Car Care! Keep it up!

A great experiemce. They inspect my car fast. Everything was smooth and easy. They helped me remove all stickers on my windshield at no charge. While I was waiting I heard one of the guys calling an old lady to show her what was wrong with the car and to ask her if they could fix the problem. I took my car to Community Car Care for a Wheel Alignment and Wheel balance. I was told that since only two of the Wheels were out of balance I would be charged for the two Wheels that were out of balance. All auto repair shops I know of would have charged me for all 4 tires even though only 2 were out of balance. It was very refreshing to see honesty at a Car repair shop. I now see first hand why Community Car Care is rated so high on yelp. I will not hesitate to have my car service there again in the future.

I purchased a Groupon for an emissions and safety inspection. I called ahead of time and Jeremy was very friendly on the phone. When I got to the shop, they were slow (it was the middle of the morning during the week) and my car was taken in right away. While that was great, it means I didn't even get time to finish my free coffee (yes, there is free Keurig and bottles of water) before both inspections were complete. l know next to nothing about cars, but felt there was no pressure to purchase/fix/upgrade anything. I was on my way with my warm coffee in hand.

Great service at a great price! I bought some tires from
and had these guys install them + alignment and they did an excellent job. I'm usually pretty picky about my tire install shops because in the past I have walked away with scrapped up wheels from the install, loose lug nuts, and horrible alignments but that was not the case here. They were also able to point out some other items that needed care on my Audi A4 (leaking shock, uneven rear tire). I will be continuing my service here as long as my experience was like this one...

I was looking for a place that could do an emissions and safety inspection at a reasonable price, and I came across this location through Groupon (which you all should check out if you need one soon, the coupon expires in July) because they offered to do both of my safety and emissions inspection for $20 bucks. When I had called location, one of the employees let me know that I could come in whenever.
The guy at the front desk was so polite and accommodating. He listened, took my car in for inspection, and although I had to buy another part to pass, I ended up paying $20-25 dollars for the entirety of the inspection because I was a new customer. These guys are great because they don't try to sell you on something like extra parts, they just get the job done!
Great location to come to if you are looking to get any repairs, or inspections done. I will be coming back.

I've never written a yelp review but this place definitely deserved it. Went in with a groupon to get my oil changed, tire rotation and inspection (excellent service here as well), also mentioning I had a broken door lock that had been estimated a repair bill of over $400!! Was hoping they would look at it and give me another estimate, maybe something a little more reasonable.
Jeremy came and checked it out with me immediately and within 5 minutes we had fixed the door. In my book that is superior customer service and they quickly earned my trust and business.

This is my go to place in Alexandria. I do believe that the staff reflects the whole shop so I also believe that the mechanics in the garage possess the same attitude when it comes to treating customer's vehicles.

I can't express how HAPPY I am with Community Car Care! I have been going there for more than 6 months with all of my vehicles as well as my brothers van. Most recently I had to take my Ford truck in for a metal retainer on the drivers door that broke. While there, I asked the guys to check the A/C level; it is a 2005 model- I expected it to be low. Imagine my surprise when Eric, the Manager, called me and told me the the A/C system had been OVERCHARGED and was only working in 'safety mode'!!!!! It was working fine now but Oh My Goodness! The dang thing had not been right since we drove it off the lot from Ford!!! So, the door was fixed, the A/C works better than it ever did and they recommended I come back in 20,000 miles for a full tune up. Honesty & integrity win my business!

I'm BLOWN away by this place. The first time that I came to Community Car Care (to get a second opinion on a repair that was going to cost $1,200), Jeremy let me know that I needed to assess the original repair which may not have been done correctly. THANK GOODNESS he told me that, because it saved me $1,200!!! The second time that I came, my car wouldn't start so Jeremy looked at the car and recommended that I purchase another key because the key was stripped. I did that and it only cost me $40 instead of an expensive repair. Please don't waste your money anywhere else. These guys are honest, thorough and professional. Jeremy is AMAZING! Seriously, this is now my go-to shop for all car repairs.

Good as it gets when it comes to service and fairness. Honest Guys that only do what is necessary to have your car running. I had a coolant leak and they took care of it right away. It could have been much worse which could have cost me alot more. Thank you.

My car broke down in the Shenandoah Valley, and I got it towed back here. I chose this place because it was so highly reviewed on Yelp. They quickly confirmed that my transmission pan was cracked and also spotted several other issues after their inspection. The person I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and patient, and I opted to do only a little more than what was needed to get my car running again. They did fix the problem the same day they first looked at it, and I picked it up that night. I felt that it was a good price for the amount of work that was done, especially compared to other mechanic shops I've used in the past. I would highly recommend them to anyone for routine car maintenance or for troubleshooting major problems. Thanks very much!

I have gone to Community Car Care twice this year, and had very positive experiences. Both times, it was for a leaky tire (different vehicles). Both times, they determined there was no hole in the tire, sealed the tire around the rim (leaks around rims are fairly common), re-installed the tire, and charged me absolutely nothing. Both tires are now holding air with no problem. This is really a generous service that they provide. Even the price of fixing a tire is really reasonable, if you have to pay for it: just $31. Also, while waiting for my car, I overhead the techs in the shop explain issues and problems to other car owners, and I was very positively impressed with how they took the time to carefully explain things in normal language and to offer the customer different options of what could be done. While not a professional, I am an experienced mechanic with many years of fixing even major problems with my own vehicles. I did not detect these guys blowing smoke up anyone's butt, or trying to sell repair services that were not needed. They seem honest and sensitive to customer's needs. I will trust them with any actual repairs I may need in the future! I highly recommend a visit to them if you have a car problem! Plus, they have a free coffee machine in the waiting area and free Wi-Fi!

This has been one of the best places I have been for car care. One went in for one thing but for a calamity of events I had other service performed. That service was a cracked rim on an Acura 2006. I spoke with Eric about my car issues and he simply stated to bring it on in; then Jeremy is who greeted me on the ill-fated day. Jeremy's personality shined very brightly and put me at ease about my care care. One other person to mention is Khalid(?). He came to my job to get my will locks and then later that evening to bring me my house keys. Today I picked up my car; it was an awesome experience.. Go to Community Care Car for great service and awesome care care.

You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you are totally being taken care of? I don't usually get that feeling at auto garages, but I definitely did at Community Car Care. Imagine that your best friend is an awesome mechanic...that's what it's like here. Service was fast, prices are great, and Eric the manager is really knowledgeable and sweet. What a find!!!

This place should be called 'Communication' Car Care !! I always struggle with the fact that some places don't communicate well about your car and this place really does a great job communicating. Eric and staff take the time to give the whole picture: what needs fixing right now, what can wait and is the car really worth it ??? I've never had that much detail before! They were happy to give me a ride home. When I got home my other vehicle needed work and they fixed it right away! This is all true and you will get good service too!!

Eric is awesome! I took my car in for a simple oil change and it took no time at all and the price was incredible compared to other mechanics. They also gave me a free check up my car. Eric is one of the most genuine people I know and has taken care of me and I will recommend him to everyone I know. If you need maintenance or check up on your car go see Eric!

Wonderful service! Customer friendly and knowledgeable with great communication to support customer understanding. We ordered tires from tire rack and had them delivered here for installation. They were available to accommodate short notice appointments for oil change and regular maintenance. They always deliver timely service and are genuinely happy to answer any questions. I would go out of my way for this place, but luckily I don't have to :)

Community Car Care is awesome! They didnt try to upsell me as mechanics often do in my experience with women who may not have extensive car knowledge. They were polite, timely, and even drove me to starbucks down the street so i could wait and sip on a macchiato. When it was time to come back they picked me up, explained what they had done to my car and the results of what they had done and let me know when i should come back for futher maintenance. I left feeling more knowledgeable about my own vehicle. Going forward, Community Car Care will definitely be my first choice for auto repair/maintenance.

When dealing with an industry known to squeeze every dime out of your pocket, its always assuring to find those who don't fall into the status quo. Community Car Care is just that. Just a week ago I was a given a complimentary mount and balance, and although this is indeed a very minor job, it shines a bright light on the good nature of this business. It's the little things in life that are the most important. Would definitely recommend.

Was very impressed by their customer service, especially from Jeremy at the front desk. Very friendly, no high-pressure sales, and a comfortable and nice new waiting area. I came because of a groupon but will definitely going back and telling my friends.

I really like Community Car Care. It's walking distance from our house, clean, bright, pleasant staff, and I've never had a problem making an appointment last minute. They are fast and efficient, and great communicators. You don't feel hustled or taken advantage of, and pricing seems fair. I also love the courtesy vehicle option, even though I always walk home. Definitely recommend them!

This was my first time going to Community Car Care and I am very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism with the staff! They were very easy to work with. I had to get my oil changed and had limited time to do it during my lunch break and they were sure to get me in and out as soon as possible. Definitely worth going there!

Wow...its a perfect Car salon...they are friendly, quick and wonderful. I came thru a group on but I liked them so much that I will be coming for all my car needs here. The store is clean, great coffee and cookie! Doesn't feel like a typical car store. The front desk person was very kind in explaining all the details and what not. Good job!!

Great service! Not only did they end up informing me that some repairs I thought I needed weren't actually necessary, they found a few other minor things and offered to fix them, but did not pressure me at all. Also, the waiting room was very clean, had wi-fi, and keurig coffee. I will be back!

Great customer service! I was only here for an inspection (actually a re-inspection). The inspector was on his way out to lunch so I would have to come back another time. I was already in a bad mood after a horrible day. Despite my grumpiness, the manager Eric went out of his way to help me by calling the inspector on his cell to ask him to do my inspection before he left for lunch. The inspector (whose name I didn't catch) obliged his request and I was on my way soon enough! They were both so kind to help me (especially the poor inspector who was probably starving at this point) and they sure made a great impression by making that extra effort. Customer service is not dead after all!

LOVEEEEE all the staff at community car care, they are all very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Jeremy was able to answer all of my questions and he knows exactly what to do when it comes to my car! There was a part on my car that could only be ordered through the dealership and he went above and beyond to call them and get it over there for me, so he made my life so much easier! Eric, the boss man, runs his shop very well it seems like and he knows what he's talking about when it comes to cars! Overall, I highly recommend Community Car Care!

I clicked on this ad accidentally while looking for another mechanic (that was extremely close to me in NE DC), but I do believe it was divine intervention, as I am 100% satisfied and didn't mind driving from NE DC out to Alexandria! Because I came from a customer service background before moving into the Corporate world, I am NOTORIOUSLY hard on service providers, ESPECIALLY mechanics, in efforts to make sure I am not being swindled. Not only did Eric and his staff get me a last-minute appointment (on a Saturday, no less), he explained everything to be BEFORE doing any work, kept me abreast of things found out while servicing my car, and gave me recommendations as to what was urgent, and what could hold off for a bit. Never before have I experienced such honesty & communication from a mechanic! Hands down, he will be my mechanic as long as I live anywhere in the DMV area, and I will refer all of my fellow car owners to him!

I contacted Community Car Care in Alexandria, along with another automotive clinic in my area, for an estimate on a regular synthetic oil/filter change, plus changing all the other fluids (transmission, brake, steering, differential) in my car. I was quoted a price that was about $100.00 less than the competition and decided to give them a try, after reading all the positive reviews on this site. I had provided the shop the year, make and model of my car and had read their claim, posted on their Website, that they serviced all makes and models, both domestic. and foreign. I then dropped the car off the previous evening for an early start the next morning. At about 9 A.M. on the day of the appointment, I received a call from the store manager informing me that the transmission case on my car did not have a dip stick and that, therefore, they could not change the transmission fluid in my car for fear of not filling it to the proper level and thus potentially damaging the transmission. I asked whether the dip stick was missing and could be replaced. I was told, no, that my car did not come equipped with a dip stick, and that only dealers had access to a special factory.-provided tool for checking the transmission fluid level. I then asked whether Community Car Care could obtain a copy of this tool from a dealer or other source. Again, the answer was "no." I found this sudden revelation, after I had provided this shop with all the requested information about my car and was given a quote for this service, not only infuriating but almost incredible. Here is an automotive clinic that claims to service all makes and models of cars, was fully aware of the precise make, model and year of my automobile, gave me an estimate for the requested service, and lets me bring in the car and leave it overnight, only to tell me the next morning, that it does not possess the capability to service my car? Give me a break! Obviously, I told the manager not to touch the car and that I would pick it up and take it to the competition, which I did posthaste, All I can say is, if you are a Nissan owner, stay away, as will I.

Community Car Care has been my main car repair/service for the last year. My experience dealing with the manager and asst manager is good - helpful, courteous with scheduling and explanation of car problems if I ask. They ask what is the issue and give recommendations, rather than pushing you into lot of other repairs. Main reason I switched to Comm Car Care is finding a reputable practice. After a couple bad practices in Alexandria - Royale gas station in Alexandria, fixes are only a 90 day warranty, as I found out when my fix was not fixed right. And Wiygul shop in Alexandria, which started out well first year, but the last 2 years really changed and I experienced as others reported Wigul trying to corner customers with very marked up prices on repairs, btw 1 year warranty. They had a courtesy shuttle and I liked couple desk and shuttle workers, but I also have that at Comm Car Care where the repair rates are fair and they have a 2 year warranty! Be a watchful consumer. I would recommend Comm Car Care over many repair shops if you value and count on fair practices. The wait area is comfortable, coffee and tea if you wait, or has shuttle availability.

I moved to Virginia from California about a year and a half ago, and as we all know- finding a reliable mechanic is always a challenge....especially as a 28 year old female with absolutely no knowledge of car mechanics. My fears of never finding a reliable mechanic subsided when I met Eric and his team for the first time- about 6 months ago after I got a flat tire on the freeway due to a giant nail. They were very genuine on the phone and were able to take my car in immediately...not to mention..the prices were extremely affordable and I was in and out within minutes. Naturally, when I felt my brakes beginning to become an issue, I called Community Car Care. They were able to order the parts and return my car to me within hours. I felt so relieved to find such a caring team whose mission is to provide excellent costumer service, while remaining mindful of affordability. The staff are very honest and both times I have gone to them I have left feeling so happy to have found them on yelp. Being so so far away from my Dad (the one who has always looked out of my car) I am nothing less than incredibly grateful to have a mechanic that I can count on. thanks community car care!! you have such an awesome business!!!
