I feel like Morty is honest and his repairs to date have been straightforward and trouble free, unlike other shops I've used in the past who try to sell you unnecessary repairs. With 5 old cars I have a lot of experience. He is also more flexible and was willing to work with my son to install a custom part on his car, something other shops were unwilling to do. This is the mark of a true craftsman, in my opinion.

Our family has used Morty's Autocare for over 25 years for several iterations of family cars and their replacement vehicles. We have always found Morty and his shop to be very honest, reliable, trustworthy, and give very sound advice even when it means less business for him (i.e. recommendations to defer or not do certain repairs, pull the plug on a klunker in favor of a new car, etc.). Found through a general search on Google Maps for "Oil Change Centreville, VA." These guys have a 28/30 on Google's rating system based on 19 reviews. 18 people gave 3/3 stars except 1 idiot who didn't even do business with the shop. He gave 0/3 so it messed up their perfect score.
Called for a synthetic-blend oil change. Owner/Operator answered, was to the point and polite. He said he could fit me in in 45 minutes and it'd only take 20 minutes max and was very reasonably priced. We even talk about how owner/operators are vital to a small business and how the owner/operator should be waived at in the community not having stuff thrown at them.
5 stars so far.

The customer service and workmanship was impeccable. Not only did they change my oil change, but also topped my fluids and did a visual inspection of my breaks. I also had a very good conversation with the Morty, the owner/operator.

Did a repair work for my Toyota corolla. My car had the engine light on and the guy said the car has some faulty sensor issue and some transmission problem. Also, my car's steering wheel was shaking while driving. The guy did some repair for the transmission issue and the engine light went off. He suggested to have new tires and wheel alignment which were overpriced so I didn't do those repairs. I paid $680 for the repair he did. Now after a week the engine light again came on and I took the car to a dealer. The dealer said the there was a cord/cable hanging loose and the the parts used were not genuine Toyota parts they won't cover the car under warranty. Paid another $320 to repair everything and car is now in perfect condition. Dealer said he is not sure what the other guy fixed. Wasted $680 for nothing!!!!
Very bad experience from this repair center. I do no recommend this to anyone.

I took my vehicle to the dealer for a an indicator light because I thought hopefully it would be under warranty. The dealer repaired it but also claimed that I needed lots of other work that required immediate attention. I took my car to Morty who's been taking care of our car for a while now. He looked at it throughly and told me honestly that the work wasn't required. Morty has saved me over $600. He is honest, does great work and his prices are always cheaper than the dealer. I would highly recommend Morty's Auto Care.

I was referred to Morty's when I was being overcharged by a dealer for a brake light sensor. I was told that he is fair and does not overcharge and I have definitely found that to be the case. In the situation that I was referred to him, I was only charged for parts because the actual replacement took about 10 minutes and he could not believe the dealership was going to charge me labor for the sensor. I was also quoted a much higher price at the dealership for the part itself and felt ripped off. Morty explained everything in terms that I could understand and I did not feel that I needed to question his pricing and reasoning. I would 100% recommend Morty's!

I learned about Morty's through an auto parts retailer who placed Morty's on their list of highly-rated repair shops. I have learned why over a period of four years of working with them, starting in 2008.
I have had Morty's do quite a number of repairs on my 2003 Jeep Liberty, including exhaust system cleaning, VA state safety inspection, and sensor replacement. I always receive friendly customer service when I call--Morty usually answer the phone himself--as well as frequent updates about when my car will be finished. They have also provided me a loaner car when my car had to stay overnight for service.
The estimates I have been given have been correct, and never once have I felt like I was overcharged or that their work wasn't worth the cost. I prefer doing business with Morty's not just because they do great work, but because they treat you like a person and not just "one more customer" like some larger auto repair places do.
I plan to continue to use Morty's, and if you try them once you'll want to keep going back.
