Duane and his guys are honest, informative and affordable. What else can you ask of a garage? Highly recommend!

New management at this place. Not sure if they are quite as good as the last - I drove my car about 200 miles and then it just wouldn't start up again. I had to rent a car while 2 mechanics eventually reconnected loose air hoses (that were not re-attached and one connector was oddly cracked. They were nice enough not to charge me but I wonder how much I would have been (over) charged had I gone back to the new ownership. This simple thermostat fix cost me over 500$. I told the new owner about it and he offered a half price oil change. To be honest, I won't go back there again - I can't afford any more shoddy and suspect work like this. Also, the cost of this job was 3x what Ed invoiced me for it. I have gone to Service Depot for 10 years for my old cars but can't afford the new Service Depot anymore.

A super huge thanks and my appreciation to gentlemen at Service Depot, a small car repair shop in Manassas, VA. They were highly recommended to my mother by her coworker so I took a chance and tried them out. I dropped my car off at the shop last night, they called me in the morning to tell me what was wrong, how much it would cost, and roughly how long it would take. The finished in just a few hours and the work included repairing the seal between my axle and transmission (tricky), replacing the oil gasket (easy), and replacing and aligning all four tires (expensive). The total came to under $600 dollars, about one third of the other estimates I got. And now my car is safe to drive again Yay!

I have been looking for a mechanic that I felt was honest and only did the work necessary, and I found he and his team. I spent $800 on my car for it's 120K mile check up (which included two new tires) and I honestly felt I was getting a deal. I know the other dealerships would have charged me double. For example, I needed a door handle replaced, and he did it - painted, because he had that color of spray, for 1/3 of what the dealership was going to charge.
I took in one vehicle for the 90K check up. He basically said he did not see any issues, did not recommend any updates and charged me less than $75, including a tire rotation.
Even the tires I bought were competitive to the other big tire locations.
When he does recommend something. he details everything he does and why. He said I did not have much wear left on my rear brakes and it was getting close to time to replace them and the rotors. While I do my brakes myself, I asked him how much and was pleasantly surprised at his price AND he recommended the type of rotors and where to buy the pads if I were to do it myself. WHO DOES THAT??? I may just have him do them......
It takes a good product/service for me to recommend them to friends and family and I this is one of those places. As others have said, this is a bit difficult to find the first time but worth the effort.
I hated taking my vehicle to other shops for the periodic mileage checkups as I knew they would recommend unnecessary service but now that I found him, I plan I bringing them in more often.
Basically, compare this place to one of those fantastic hole-in-the-wall eateries that the locals know about with great service and food and their sales are based on word of mouth. It is not splashly and looks like a mechanics shop but the service and quality of work are second to none.

I love this place. The mechanic my whole family has used for more than a decade recommended I take my VW Eos to Logan because it needed someone who specialized in foreign cars. They have been incredibly helpful, really reasonable, and great to deal with. It's so hard to find a mechanic you can trust - Logan is just that.

Honesty, person-ability, and quality work. In a business that can be dishonest, I went to Logan worried that I had a $900 problem with my car, only to have him tell me that I had a $250 problem. Since moving to Virginia I come here for anything that is not an oil change or a state inspection (mostly because I live in Alexandria and Manassas is a bit of a hike), but my fiancee has been coming here for years with nothing but good comments. One example was a problem with her Honda Civic that the dealership told her would be $3,100 to fix. Logan found the same problem and another that the dealership did not find and fixed the car for $1,600. Most jobs are completed same-day if you call ahead to let them know you are coming.
The work done here lasts and those that work here are very nice. Furthermore, they will describe problems in lay-speak so you can understand what is happening with your car even if you are not a gear-head. Logan taught (not sure if he still does) a class for people about cars so they can be educated enough to not be taken advantage of at other service shops.
The building is a little hidden from the main road, so finding the place is helped by using Google Maps or a GPS. There is a lobby for you to wait while they work on your car, and though it is small, it features a television, free coffee, filtered water, and free wi-fi.
Bottom Line: tucked away in a small unassuming building, is this great car doctor with excellent bedside manner.

Very honest mechanic and a lot cheaper than the dealership. Dealership said I had a leak and it would be $1700 to fix. I took it to Logan and he said the leak was slow and there was no rush to fix it. I coule probably go another year before I had to fix it. He was only going to charge me $900

Their name does not sound like an auto service center, but they do awesome repair work. If the other auto centers can't do it, they can. That's how I got to know them. The other trusted shop i usually go to could not do the work on my 1992 Subaru Legacy and they referred me to Logan. I guess that referral incident speaks for itself. They know what they're doing, they have a passion for troubleshooting and solving car problems. You'd see their clients always leaving with smiles on their grateful faces. We too have big grateful, smiles on our faces! :)

Need a quick oil change or major work , this the most honest auto repair shop on the area. Great customer service, easy early drop off and work done when promised. There prices are as competitive as any of the "chain" locations. I don't let anyone but these folks work on my three cars.

5 stars for consistently honest, done right at a fair price, service and repairs.
If your car doesn't need a repair, they don't up-sell. Friendly folks.
'Do their best working me in for occasional urgent or safety concerns.
I've got a 2005 Hyundai Elantra, 100,000 miles, running well. 'Had a '96 Ford Escort wagon before that. A friend told me about Logan's shop years back.
I'm sure glad he did. Sincerely, Chuck Berlin, Manassas

I recently moved to the area and I have been taken advantage of with my car. I was so grateful a coworker of mine recommended Logan and his team. She said he was honest and would take care of me. Oh how true. I've taken my car to him and he was affordable and honest. I recently had a small issue. I forgot to call Logan's first and I was told it would be $255. I called Logan hours before going to get it done and Logan had someone do it for free. He said it's just a five minute job. How thankful I am for him and his team. They are caring, honest, affordable and the best auto company I have ever found! Thank you so much.

This is a very honest place to have your car serviced. I have been taking my cars here for a few years to do work that I cannot do myself. I have never had a return visit for any work they do. Mr.Logan is HONEST and they will do the best job ever.

They are honest. They give good customer service. Logan is personable and he is easy to deal with. I hate taking my car for any repairs but I felt like they were not cheating me or overpricing their work.
