Today we went to get the New York State Inspection, we met Jacob and Donald. They treated us kindly, they did a fantastic job and provided us with great service. Now we know where to go for car repair. Very happy with the service.

East Coast is that rare unicorn of inexpensive, quick, and friendly. My most recent visit was for a flat tire. They saw me almost immediately, took the tire off, removed the object (a huge shard of glass, I believe), plugged it, and put it back on in under 20 minutes. And it was only $15. I've also had some other mechanical repairs. An axle replacement was around $100 or $150, I seem to remember.

Excellent Shop. Very Nice and Honest. Owner Alex was extremely helpful. I took my wife's 2005 Murano to check out what i thought was a U joint problem. Alex had one of his mechanics (Dennis) lift the car and check out what was going on. Turns out that it wasn't a u-Joint problem but a TRANSMISSION issue. It sounded like all the gears were tearing up the inside. A REALLY BAD SOUND!!. Dennis also notice that Both controller arms were Shot and so were the struts. ANY other shop would have tried to fix it and hit me over the head $$$$ price wise - BUT The guys at EAST COAST were completely honest with me and told me it was not worth it. the MURANO - NISSAN for that matter is a really bad car - Never again will i buy Nissan. But long story short. EAST COAST AUTO BODY are stand up guys. i will recommend to friends and family. Thanks again Alex

TERRIBLE customer service! Needed to get my inspection done and called AHEAD of time to ask if they would still be open because it was 4 and they close at 5. They ensured me that they will still be open as I gave them the estimated time of my arrival.
I arrived at the time that I said I would, 4:15 and lo and behold! The "manager" says that they are closed and can't service us because they "closed their machines already."
When i told them that i called ahead and they said that they will be open, the "manager" said, no, I'm the manager, I didn't get that call. We kindly asked if they could open their machines and they refused us. We would not have bothered going there if they had SAID that they would be closed.
Never coming back here again. I'd give them negative stars if I could.

You could have properly said that you did not want to service any more customers that day because it is hot outside. Instead of LYING and saying, yes, we will do it. And have me waste time and effort to get there and be denied. Did you miss the fact that I CALLED AHEAD because I was considerate of the fact that you may want to close early.
And CORRECTION. You are NOT the only shops open on Sunday. Right after I was rudely denied service after being promised to be served. I went to Flushing Tires, got there at 4:45 when their NY State Machine legitimately closes at 5PM and had my inspection done. I also called them ahead of time and they were honest. Thank God. So if anyone needs to get work done on their car in Queens. Please go there. They're good and close by as well.
Oh and don't apologize when you clearly don't mean it.

A nasty hit to my 2011 Maxima while I was parked resulted in my front driver side bumper being torn out from the seam. The undercarriage on the same side was torn down and cracked and made noise when I drove. When I arrived Ben was very accommodating and detailed. He was also honest about his preference to replace the bumper entirely and how a temporary fix wouldn't be ideal. However, he deferred to my judgement to go with the quick repair. The price was more than reasonable and the work done was impeccable. I'll definitely return.

Just a week after my car was fixed I started to realize it is nowhere near done immediately let ALEX know about all the issues which he promised were supposed to be fixed suddenly become NON ACCIDENT related
My wife's car had an issue
My dads car had an issue
My car still has a bunch of issue
I HATE to be able to say this because I like them for their personality but they are not good mechanics nor do they do good job on the bodywork
Don't say you wasn't warned
What may seem cheap and convenient will end up costing you more than you think in money and aggravation I guarantee it

Truly the best auto collision and repair shop in New York and maybe even the tristate area. Alex and his crew of professionals assisted me with my car after a terrible accident where the front of my vehicle was significantly damaged. East Coast picked up my car at the scene of the accident and repaired my vehicle within two business days.
I highly recommend this business for all your car repair needs. They're located right in the heart of Forest Hills.

I was in my first accident earlier this month. And as many know, it isn't a very fun experience. I had no idea what to do with my vehicle or what to do about the damage. I was very lucky to be recommended to East Cost Auto Plaza by a friend that lives near by. I couldn't be happier with the experience or the service. They were very understanding and considerate when it came to my cautious attitude because of it being my first accident. They took their time to explain the process and made me feel 100% comfortable leaving my vehicle in their hands. What made me even happier, was my vehicle upon picking it up from the shop. It was gorgeous! Not only did they fix the damage caused by the accident, but they also touched up some other scratches. It looked brand new! The only issue I had was the replaced mirror (due to the accident) had a wiring issue, which I immediately brought up to the gentleman at the shop and he assured me that it would be taken care of as soon as possible. I will be returning to the shop to get the mirror fixed, but that is not a problem for me at all. Again, I couldn't be happier with the service! I was so appreciative of their good attitudes and calming personalities. I will be a loyal customer to this shop and will recommend anyone I know who needs any type of mechanical repairs.

Got into a front end collision and my car was ruined. One of my friends refereed me to east coast and I had the pleasure to deal with both Emil and Alex and let me tell you these guys are spot on they assured me that they will make sure my car will look brand new and let me tell you it did. Emil made a lot of promises to me and kept his word on all of them I can't be more happier with my car, and I am very very picky when I went to pick my car up I found nothing wrong everything was amazing and spot on I highly recommend them to all of my family and friends and best part is they also specialize in rim and tire repair as well as all service from minor things to oil change and big things like a motor or transmission repair I love these guys keep up the great work you guys are my go to shop.

Wow. What a great place. From start to finish they could not have been more helpful. You can tell that what they want most of all is for you to be completely satisfied with their work and your experience there. They will go out of there way to accommodate your schedule and even help you with car rental arrangements. I was really happy with the quality of the work my car looked GREAT when I got it back.
One of the earlier reviewers mentioned about narrow street access to their shop - I think that reviewer must not have been from NY - most of the streets here a narrow - and that in no way effects your experience at East Coast Auto Plaza.
Go here - you will be happy you did.

Located at a extremely narrow road and Nobody couldn't pass if one car double parks. I couldnt get in the garage because some stupid driver was blocking the entrance. Then I literally blocked the whole damn road. All employees didn't give a shit and seemed to enjoy the honking. Would never return to this place or recommend a friend!

All I needed was a simple car inspection which they did quick and easy. What stood out to me was how friendly and organized they are. I originally called the Sunoco station on Metropolitan Ave which is right around the corner from me. But the guy on the phone was very rude and even though it was convenient I really didn't want to give them my business. I called East Coast in the morning and they said sure no problem bring it right over. The staff were polite and friendly and the shop looked clean and organized. They said it would be done within an hour and I think it took a total of 15 minutes. I can't speak about the quality of their auto repairs but I am likely to go there if I never need it (which i hope I don't).

I've been here a few times to service my car and do some body and electrical work and I gotta say it's a really solid shop. They have great mechanics that actually try to do their best on the vehicles they work on, unlike other mechanics that just "patch" up your car enough to get you by but come back for something else. They have great rates, very affordable. The shop is also pretty big and can accommodate numerous cars. If your looking for a new and trustworthy mechanic look no further.

I recently had my car repaired at East Coast Auto Plaza and the job was IMMACULATE and PRESTINE. Also, the turn around time was fast! They took only 4 days so I was thrilled with the efficiency and completely satisfied with the results. East Coast Auto has the absolute BEST customer service Alex went above and beyond and gave me the peace of mind from the very beginning that my car was in good hands. Alex also followed up and kept me in the loop to reassure me that everything is being taken care of. Donald and the entire staff was attentive and made me feel very comfortable as well. Go here and ask for Donald. He was a complete gentleman and superior businessman every step of the way. Being new to the area I was looking for a place to get an inspection and brakes done. Donald was thorough in his approach and very detailed. He promised that his team would examine the brakes, give me a price quote, and then proceed with the work if I approved. I was invited in the shop to take a look at the brakes (even though I had no idea what I was looking at!) and Donald came to me with two different price quotes with a complete breakdown of parts and labor before the car was touched. Total transparency and a trustworthy operation!

While visiting my sister in Queens my car hit a pole and the paint chipped and indented the passenger door. Because I was borrowing my parents car I needed to ensure the car got fixed before heading back upstate. I called a ton of autobody shops but because it was a Sunday no place was opened, I finally found this place. The staff was so friendly and very attentive to me and my car. They took in my car immediately to get repaired; I've never seen a paint job as good as this. I definitely recommend this place.

I just had body work done on my car at East Coast, and I am thrilled with the results. The car (a 2000) looks like new! They fixed a lot more than the damage from the accident, so 3 sides of my car are perfect. It was done in just a few days, and they handled everything with the insurance company. All I had to do was sign the check.
I've also been having my car serviced here for years (formerly Interboro Auto). The new owners are great,intelligent, helpful, and I am extremely satisfied!

i dropped off my car for some bumper work on both rear and front. these guys didnt discuss any repair options with me and just were concerned on how much money they could make out of the claim. they do not return phone calls, the two female receptionists are very rude and act like they are doing you a favor by doing their job and picking up phone calls, and again no one ever calls back. when i picked up my car 5 days later, the paint job was sloppy, there were a few blotches on the rear bumper, not to mention the guy i dealt with (donald) was the most rudest guy ever, nasty attitude, i restrained myself from giving this guy a rock bottom. overall, as many auto shops are rude and out for a paycheck, i read reviews and chose this place, but trust me, these reviews are inaccurate to say the least. only thing i can think of is that the staff wrote them, because reading them again now after the fact is just comical. do your homework and try to find a better place, if possible. oh and i have to agree with tony s here, the location is absolutely horrible, the street is extremely narrow and there is no where to park your car while you go in and speak to these morons.
