I had Ricky as my mechanic. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. He gave a very honest assessment and gave me options to fix according to my budget. He gave detailed explanation to my questions and some tips on how to take care of my car.
There is also a waiting room with a bathroom and tv if you plan to wait while they repair. It's also a few blocks from the D and N train if you need to leave the car there for the day.

Driving up from DC, my alternator stopped working and I was stranded in Brooklyn late Saturday evening. I was recommended this shop through a friend of a friend and they provided great service with very direct and up front talk about what was wrong and what they were going to service. Key was very personable and well-mannered. He gave his honest opinion about the state of my car and the necessary repairs needed and was very good with his work. I would definitely recommend them when you're in a pinch for auto repairs.

Friendly place with knowledgeable staff and the owner Key was quick to point out what was needed. Had to replace one busted wheel stud on each wheel. The job wasn't hard, but long labor and I needed it done per wheel. Quoted for less than 2 other places I checked with. Finished promptly on time and was charged less than the quote.

62nd Auto is a new state of the art location for Key and Ricky the owners. You can't miss them because they look just like the guys in "Fast and the Furious" I kid you not!
I have been a customer with them for over 10 years and they took care of all my and family's vehicles, old and new, over the years. They are honest, reliable and professional. They will do the smallest job to the biggest . Their trained staff will also take good care of you and one of the owners will always be in the shop to see you through from the beginning to end.
The shop is one of the few that will do body work & paint jobs as well as any mechanical work. When they replace a part, they will give you two options. One with OEM parts and another with after market parts with different price points and their recommendations. The price is always reasonable and they will treat you like family. Unless you have an uncle in the business, you can't get a better deal. Even then maybe.....
Also they are of Chinese decent and speak both English and Chinese fluently so you can relax and talk to them without a problem.

Was recommended by a friend to bring my car to the shop. My car was rear ended and the bumper was totally ruined. Key and Ricky were really helpful with claiming insurance and having the inspector come and inspect the car multiple times. They also helped me ordered new parts for the rear bumper. The process took a really long time, almost about a month and the insurance company wouldn't pay for an extension for the rental car. But when I got the car back a few days later, it looked brand new! The color was a tiny bit off but you can barely notice it. I'm just very picky loll but I am very thankful ! And I would definitely recommend!

My RX7 was in a light collision where the door needed to be replaced and the quarter panel needed new paint. I bought a used door with dings on it (wasn't perfect) and the shop did the repairs. When I got the car back, you couldn't even tell the door was a replacement door, they matched it perfectly to OEM paint (inside and out). The quarter panel was blended in and the full unibody received a full coat of clear. The job was done perfectly (and no short cuts were taken) because they cleaned up the previous owner's paint job and the car looks better than before! I'd definitely come back as a customer if I needed repairs/paint job.

62nd St. auto repair in my opinion is one of the best and one of the most honest garages in Nyc . khee is a class act mechanic and is professional and extremely well knowledged and honest . New York City has a lot of dishonest mechanics that's why when you find a garage and mechanics like khee and rick at 62nd auto you must hold onto them and treat them very well . I will never go anywhere else these guys are the best around !!!!
