I highly recommend Itasca Auto Body. My most recent dealing with them has reinforced the positive impressions I had previously had. They are helpful, friendly, and reasonable. I dropped off my car to replace what I thought were worn bearings. Rich troubleshooter and ruled things out, determining that the tires were near the end of their lives and at least one was out of alignment. He gave me options based on budget and degree of permanency. I opted for new tires through him, as the price was reasonable and he'd done all that troubleshooting.

I was having problems with my Acura TL. They got me in quickly and diagnosed my problem. They were unable to fix it because of the issue being intermittent, complex, and gave me some excellent advice. I spent an couple hours in the shop and I was pleased with the operation and procedures. Seems to run like a well oiled machine.

When you find a good mechanic, you keep going back. Over the last few months several little problems have cropped up on our older (2002,2001) cars. Itasca Auto Body has fixed them all fairly and timely. As a female driver who has gotten the "girl treament" from other mechanics, Rich and his crew take the time to explain what they are doing and why. The fact that they are right by the Metra makes them convenient as well. These guys have a customer for life!

Majorly impressed!
We recently had our oil changed at Toyota of Elmhurst. At checkout, they explained that additional work was necessary- the driver front and passenger front axle assemblies needed replacing. They quoted $1,593.96 + tax (not including labor). We decided to get a second assessment and brought the car to Itasca Auto Body and Repair. Rich Jr. called and explained which parts needed replacing and guess what, they weren't complete axle assemblies. By 5 o'clock, same day, Itasca Auto and Body finished all the repairs AND SAVED US $815! They even called me an hour before leaving work to make sure that I had a ride to the body shop. The car looks great and rides like new. Couldn't thank Rich Jr., Marty and all of the employees enough for their hard work! We'll definitely be back!

Definitely recommended!!
I brought my car here to get the rear bearings checked. Rich Jr. called me to tell me the bearings and brakes were both fine and he narrowed it down to the tires after rotating them. He recommended new tires but said an alignment would buy me some time with the holidays approaching and expenses coming. Since the tires were pretty crappy the previous winter I considered new tires. After a quick minute online I decided the top tire he recommended was a reasonable price and I opted to buy them from him, since he spent the time to troubleshoot the car rather than just sell me something I didn't need.
These guys don't live up to the qualities that make people hate dealing with mechanics. Easy to talk to, friendly, and reasonable. I would definitely return to them.
Just be aware that there are two guys there named Rich: a father and son.

I generally hate dealing with auto body repair shops. However Rich Junior made the experience so great!I thought the service here was excellent, people really nice, and the price was more than fair. Next time I need car maintenance or body repair work done, make sure to give them a call!

I have been going to Itasca Auto Body for years, even after I moved from Itasca. One benefit is they will drive you to/from their shop to drop off and pick up your car.
I HATE dealing with anything related to my car and I fully trust Rich and his team.
Can not recommend them enough.
