Pons did a fantastic job on my truck!! Lenny super nice guy even give me a ride home. They got me back on the road fast. Then when I wrecked my truck again. Lol Lenny got it picked up fast and got it fixed back up ASAP!! Chris the owner has a great group of guys working there!! Chris thank you for taking care of my truck and issues so fast and professional. Truck looks great and runs like new again. I felt like I had VIP Service. I would definitely recommend Pons Auto body. Thanks Again!!

My van, a 2000 Honda Odyssey, was rammed by a careless driver around December 2014. It was towed by this service immediately after and sat at the shop for 2 months, because the insurance companies involved (especially mine - AAA), were too lazy to deal with the accident. Lenny, who towed my van, was very transparent throughout, and made the whole process much, much easier than it would have been. Come February, the other party's insurance company, Allstate, refused to pay for storage for about 6 weeks, and only paid for the tow and two weeks of storage. At the end of the day, I lost a lot less money than I would have at any other place, and I'm glad Pons Auto Service was there at the crash. This business has the most transparent group of individuals I've met thus far, and although I have not had any vehicles serviced here, I have no inhibitions recommending this shop, taking the character of everyone here, especially Lenny, into consideration. In the future, I will use this spot for any and all of my servicing/vehicular needs. If I could give more than 5 start to the people here, I would. Thank you, Lenny!

The service was fast and he even fixed extra things that needed done for free or next to nothing I'm talking like 10$ also his prices were very very reasonable. I will definitely be taking my car back. My employer uses him for his personal cad and all work truck they must be doing something right very happy with pons

I recently got into an unfortunate encounter with a telephone pole. Pons showed up at the site with the tow truck ready to go. I got my estimate from the insurance adjuster that included remanufactured and aftermarket parts. Before I had time to complain to the insurance company, I received a call from Pons telling me they thought it was BS as well and had found price matches for authentic new parts. Service was swift and transparent. Every step of the way, Chris let me know the status of my vehicle. He was very amicable and real. I felt like he was just another old buddy of mine. Several weeks after the collision, I crossed paths with an old gearhead friend of mine. I showed him my vehicle and the repairs, and he had nothing but good things to say about the job Pons did. He confirmed that all replacement parts were authentic and installed nearly to factory quality (as close as a damaged vehicle could be). Being a guy who has seen some pretty abysmal repairs, he was quite impressed with the job that Pons did. In his words, "A+!" In short, I'd definitely recommend Pons to any of my friends whose cars require body work.

I have been consistently impressed with the service at Pons, the pricing, and the honesty. When I had my alternator replaced, they had the experience to know which alternator would work as a replacement part, and which one would be sending me back to the shop soon. When I ask about a repair, they don't give me "the look," but courteously explain the repair and the options.
And they have never pushed me to get any service done that I didn't come in for.
As the old proverb says, "There are three noble gifts in life: a good friend, a noble enemy, and a close-by and honest car mechanic."

My hat's off to the team at Pons for being fantastically accommodating in providing excellent service at a fair price while being transparent in what it was they were doing while providing price estimates throughout. I'd give em 6 stars if they were available.
The ol' whip was in need of serious TLC after a long period of seeing little to no use. Justin at Pons was great in handling the fact I travel often and not able to pick up my car right away. Beyond that, there was even an issue where we needed to put some miles on to reset/calibrate the onboard computer, and since I couldn't get there to grab the car and do that in a reasonable time, Justin actually offered to do that for me - with my permission of course - and at no additional charge was added for that extra hassle! Even the tow driver was awesome offering to follow me to the shop when we realized the tow wasn't necessary and then dropping me back home since he was headed that way - how cool is that?
Justin personally called me anytime they found a major or minor issue and informed me in each case if it were a worthwhile repair to make and what the priority and price of each new part or service would require. They even coordinated my windshield replacement with Safelite while they had my car on premises in their lot. Excellent customer service.
Car handles great now and I'm super happy with what might be my best experience with an auto shop in my 20 plus years as a car owner. I now refer to Pons as 'my mechanic' and highly recommend them to anyone in need. Perfect for a single business traveler like me to work with and I'm sure they're just as flexible and professional to work with for everyone.
Support a great local business - skip them Pep Boys type chains and go to the neighborhood pros!

Had my brakes and rotors replaced here, so far so great. No wait, simply walked in and spoke to one of the men - got my car back 2 hours after. Friendly service and personable, he described everything to me and revealed what he was replacing and what was incorrect. And I did not have to wait for shuttle house, the man who was helping gave me a ride home and afterwards picked me up in my recently restored car!

I sent my 2004 Lexus to Pons to have the body kit painted and installed. The owner was very friendly: During our first meeting he gave me a quote and suggested me to shop around for the best deal. I also chatted with mechanics there during my waiting times and they really enjoyed working on cars in the shop.
Turned out Pons was the only shop that was willing to work with my schedule, and the pricing is fair. So I dropped off the kit to get it painted and a week later went back for fitting and installation. The color was a really good match and overall I am really satisfied.
I would recommend Pons.

Justin did a shoddy job on my car, doesn't stand by his work, and I'm still dealing with issues caused by his subpar repair work. There are a lot of other mechanics in the area, so I would certainty stay away!

We were scammed by a Pons tow truck employee. He promised to drop our car off at our collision shop (which everyone knows you can drop a car off after hours) and kept it at their place instead overnight. He charged our collision guy over 400 dollars for the tow, which is unacceptable. Insurance is covering everything because the accident wasn't our fault, but this was unethical to say the least. For a well reviewed family owned business we were shocked that they took advantage of our insurance like this and plan to report them to the BBB.

I took my car in for safety and emissions. Since they had to take my wheels off anyways for the safety inspection, they rotated my tires. I had a cracked brake hose and they were very fair with the price. The owner and his son are very friendly and based on my interaction, I trust them completely.

It is always a risk when you are looking for a new mechanic. I've gone to a few shops in the city and haven't felt comfortable with the service. Some garages seem to have the same issue on all cars they inspect. Some garages don't really do the job fully. But so far so good with Pons. My car was overheating with no check engine alerts or codes to be tested. The team at Pons did some research, found the common problems with my car and started from the smallest item and planned to work through the issues.
I dropped my car off in the morning before the were opened, went to work, and they called me 30 minutes after opening to better understand the issue. They told me the game plan, when they expected the part, where they were buying the part from, letting me know it was going to be OEM, and what they would do if that part didn't resolve it.
Lucky for me the first item they changed resolved the overheating. I did call before they closed to see if my car was going to be read at end of day. They wanted to make sure the car was actually fixed and kept it overnight to check it in the morning.
I will give Pons another chance to work on my car based on their service, their attentiveness with calling me, and they price.

I found this place via a Groupon and have since taken our car back for service and inspections. The shop is always friendly and helpful. They seem to really want to get it right and if they can do it a more economical way they offer that as an option. You don't feel pressured and they don't seem to find mysterious additional things that need to be fixed.
We recently had them do our brakes. The price was very fair and when we went to pick it up he had knocked down the labor charge he quoted us saying that it took him less time than he estimated... how about that for a change!
it is really hard to find a good shop that isn't out to sell you cheap parts and unnecessary repairs and when you do find that shop you always know where to go.

The guy interrupted me and asked, if I have been to their place before. I said no, it is my first time. He said then I cannot help you and hang up the phone extremely rudely.

I feel like I need to toot the horn for auto shops because a good one is so hard to find. These guys are awesome.
First of all, they're legit. I mean they seriously remind me of my dad, getting down and dirty under our Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera to get it done. And there are plenty of yinz' n'at flying around to make me feel even more at home.
I had my tail lamp busted by some unknown object falling from the sky (no joke ... impact is totally inexplicable, while it was parked in the PIT short-term lot). My car is new - so there are limited aftermarket parts available. So I called the dealership, and they told me they could get the tail lamp assembly for, and Pons quoted me less - oh, the travesty of dealership markups. Or, maybe Pons has access to the Santa Workshop of car parts - I don't ask questions.
Even more, when I finally got over there to have the work done, they literally got the tail lamp, told me to hang out, and did the work on the spot. It is still in place, appears sturdy, and they advised me to not get a scratch touched up that I wanted to and told me to demand my detailer to take care of it ... I like free, quality advice.
Long story short, these guys aren't in it to rip you off, they know what they're doing, and they seem like genuinely nice guys. 6 days ago I was rear-ended on the parkway (sorry to anyone stuck in traffic on 376-E on Dec 29, not my fault) and I have the option of going to a shop with an estimate or one of State Farm's shops, which Pons is not. I'm pretty sure I'll be taking the estimate papers over to Pons anyway.

I brought my 2008 Audi TT there on a Thursday for an estimate, they were able to take me the following Monday to repair a right rear fender where I backed into a truck and a dent on the crease of my right door where a car had backed into me. They told me my car would be ready that Wednesday.
Not only was the car ready on Wednesday, the work was beyond my expectations. It looked brand new and they even had the car detailed. It was amazing.
The price was fair and the staff is unbelievably friendly.
I also took my car there for an inspection and brakes previously.
Couldn't be more satisfied.

I've been going to Pons for the last 4 years or so, and I've always had great experiences. Every person I've interacted with at Pons is incredibly friendly and helpful. They always walk me through what's going on with my car in easy-to-understand terms. I've never felt like they were trying to up-sell me, and on multiple occasions, they've told me not to get the most expensive part. There have also been times when I've brought my car in and they said I don't need service.
Chris, who I believe is either the owner or the owner's son, has also dropped me off at work more than once after I've left my car at the shop. In a sea of shady auto mechanics, Pons is a rare find with great, trustworthy service and reasonable prices.

Thanks to Snomageddon 2010, I had to pay a visit to a body shop to fix a dented front bumper and fender after crashing into a guard rail on Mt. Washington. I now know why there are always two listings for Pon's. Downstairs is the mechanic and upstairs is the body shop, they're two different businesses but I guess the owners are brothers or something along those lines.
As with the auto shop, I didn't need to schedule an appointment, called and they told me to come in anytime (I guess with the snow storm a lot of their appointments got cancelled) Turned my car in on Tuesday, got it back same week Thursday with a brand new fender, headlight and a fixed up shiny front bumper. The price was more than reasonable and I'm happy to find a place where I can take my car, get outstanding service and not worry about being charged extra.

First of all, I am not going back here. The mechanic at the check out was horrible. The work done was nice until it came to pay and the bill was 100$ more than the estimate. And his justification was, I added wrong. And rather than being sorry, he started screaming and threatening to take out parts. This is just ridiculous. If you decide to go here, do get a written estimate before you leave the car.
