I had to drop off my mom today at Don's because she had some body work done. I needed an estimate for some body work & much to my surprise was told there would be a charge for an estimate unless I committed to them doing the work. How can someone commit to having work done before you know how much it will cost. I have been to CARQUEST, Schaeffers, Old style auto body and none of those established businesses charge for an estimate.

Unfortunately, our family needed two repairs on two different cars. The first car had silver metallic paint. When we bought it, the car door had already been repainted with a darker shade of silver so I knew what to look for. This shop matched it perfectly. The second car was brand new with a gold metallic paint. It had hail damage. Once again, beautiful, timely work. The office staff was also easy to work with. Thanks to everyone there!

This is a family run business and the owners are very personable and friendly. The work they did on my car was excellent and it looks like new once again. The price was also very good - $400 less than CARSTAR Auto Body quote. I recommend Don's Body Shop for any collision repairs. You can't go wrong with these guys.

In Response To Greg O. - My name is Dennis Carroll, the owner of Dons Body Shop here in Overland Mo. I am responding to a Poor To Fair Google review, which was posted by Greg O. (a recent customer at Dons Body Shop). First off, we believe in getting ALL OF OUR REPAIR JOBS handled in a timely and professional manner this is of the utmost importance to us! This included Gregs repair too. Secondly, we would NEVER talk down to our customers as Greg O. has stated. That is unprofessional and we pride ourselves on treating each and every customer (including Greg) with respect and value. We treat our customers like friends and family. Two things happened which made the repair job take much longer than it should have. Important to note here is that NEITHER of those things were anything that we had ANY POSSIBLE control over. In fact, had the insurance company listened to our original recommendation, Greg would have been back in his vehicle much quicker because we had recommended that a NEW quarterpanel be put on the car NOT a used one. But, because we have to abide by the insurance companies policies, we had to wait for the insurance company to order the used quarter panel from the salvage yard. In Gregs case, not only did the insurance company order the incorrect one, but it took over a week to get that quarterpanel shipped to our shop. Then, to make matters worse, when the used quarterpanel arrived, it was the wrong part. To add fuel to the fire, when the correct quarterpanel arrived the second time around it was damaged - so we had to ship it back. By the time we had gotten the correct part, Gregs vehicle had been sitting at our shop for well over 3 weeks. With that said, we kept Greg informed at least twice per week of the issues we were having with the salvage yard, the insurance company, and the part mix ups. We NEVER failed to tell him about what was going on throughout the entire repair process. This just happened to be a situation where vehicle parts stopped Gregs vehicle from getting fixed in the time allotted. We had apologized to Greg and felt terrible for his wait, but once again, we thought Greg was aware that all of the issues we were having with his vehicle were out of our control. As the owner, I would like to PERSONALLY apologize to Greg one last time. We are sorry that issues with the quarterpanel held this repair job up for the two weeks that it did. We strive to make each and every one of our customers happy and hope that Greg can hopefully put this bad experience behind him.

Some guy backs into my car, so the driver side of my rear bumper was pretty smashed up. It was nothing major. Nothing hanging, no body damage, no hidden damage. Long story short, after fumbling with my and the other guy's insurance companies, I got a repair set up the day after I walked into Don's for a preliminary estimate. Everyone at the shop is friendly and very professional. They work with American Family and State Farm, both of which I do business with. They also partner with the closest Enterprise Rent-a-Car on Page, so my rental process went smoothly as well. Steve quoted me an estimate that was spot on after all the repairs were done, and it was done in the two day time frame he gave me from the get go. I went to Maaco for extensive collision repair on my last car a few years ago, and was more or less unsatisfied with the results. They did an ok job, and the whole-car paint job they suckered me into was pretty mediocre. After all is said and done, my car looks better than when I brought it in to them. My bumper looks perfect, the paint job on the bumper is as close to a match as I'd say is possible. They say their reputation speaks for itself, and it looks like that rings true. I'll definitely be back here if I ever need collision repair in the future.

Dons had terrible customer service and is terrible with deadlines. But if you dont care about being talked down to or not having your car when they originally say they'll have it done then the work isnt too bad.

Customer service GRADE A. A recent car accident left me with damage to my driver door as well as the back left panel close to the break light. 8 days later I received my vehicle back in close to perfect condition. I was really worried about them getting my paint right on my vehicle. I can tell a small difference,But that's because it's my vehicle the average person wouldn't know!
