I don't recommend this busines...

I don't recommend this business. I was taking advantage of- went to get a sticker for my low mileage car in the middle of inspecting it, was told that the DLC connector to connect to their computer was pushed up. They asked me if anyone has been in my car and I told them no. I got my sticker there last year-THEY were the last ones besides myself to be in my car. When the mechanic told me it would cost $20-$40 to push down the connector, I stated that I would bring it to another mechanic - he responded that he was in the middle of inspecting my car and muttered something. He put me in a position where I would have to pay him because I needed the sticker. He asked me if I had a lot of time to spare. About 5-10 minutes later which is not a long time, I received my sticker. A mechanic either pushed this connector out of place last year or today. I spoke with a few people including someone in the car business and they couldn't believe they charged me $20 to take off two screws and push the connector back down-a few minute job. They said most places wouldn't have charged anything. I don't know if it was because I was a female or they take advantage of others as well Shame on him and poor business practice. When I read reviews I would rather see no reviews because good reviews could have been written by friends of the business and negative reviews could be a red flag.

This Auto Shop is Satisfactory

This auto shop is ok. This service is good and they fix your car really fast. They are very strict about the details of the problem and the don't want to take any chances.

Honest people with great attitude and professionalism. Eli is nice, helpful and trust worthy!! I had visited him several times with different unusual requirements as my track (Toyota FJ Cruiser) is heavily modified and nothing is straight forward in it and Eli and his team were always able to solve it and give me the right feeling of confident in their work... I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a professional and honest workshop place!

Eli and his team are friendly, professional, and passionate about the work they do. I recently brought my truck in for a brake job, suspension upgrade, and several off-roading modifications requiring specialised work and attention. The entire crew did an amazing job. Everyone was more than happy to answer all of my many questions and excited to show and describe each part of the two day project to me. Eli was also very helpful in getting me situated with a rental vehicle while my truck was in the shop. I highly recommend Canton Auto Service to anyone and everyone looking for quality service and honest prices!

I was recommended to Canton Auto by a coworker and have now gone there twice for body work and other service. The owner, Eli, helped me with obtaining a rental car and with dealing with my insurance company after an accident. They are very helpful and prompt, and perform great work.

I recently brought in a 2008 BMW that had several issues. Besides tires and breaks, the front suspension had an issue and there was an oil leak. I can not tell you what am amazing experience I had working with this service station and Eli.
I dropped my car off around noon on a Monday and didn't have a ride home. They told me it wouldn't be a problem and someone would take me home.
After getting into the engine on my car, Eli realized that a major repair the car needed was covered under the manufacturers recall which I wasn't aware of. He researched the recall, printed out all of the material needed and explained how to go about having it fixed. Eli could have told me the repair was needed, performed and charged me for it and I would never have known.
I picked up my car on Friday, as promised, and the car is like new. If you are looking for a service shop, please look no further than Canton Auto and Eli. This one experience has created a customer for life!! And to think that I found him because my car needed an inspection sticker.
It is great to see such an honest business and businessman.

I walked into Eli's garage in Canton and I knew immediately that I was in good hands! He and his shop do incredible work, they take great pride in their customer service, the quality of the care they give, and their honesty. I no longer take my car to the lexus dealership. I recently moved to the area and am happy to say that I have found a trustworthy mechanic. The staff is extremely friendly and they seem very upfront and honest. They are not at all pushy and do not try to up-sell you. They offered to drive me back home if I couldn't get a ride and they even went out of their way to stay late just to make sure my car was ready for me to drive to work the next day. I'll be going back for all maintenance and repairs.

I thought I would add my voice to reviews since one of the negative reviews has been filtered by Yelp, conveniently enough. If I had read that review I would not have made the mistake I did. So now I'll add to the negative reviews in hopes Yelp approves this one.
I had my car professionally detailed here for $250. Now, I could have gone elsewhere and gotten a detail done for $150 or even $80 through coupon sites. However, I too was taken in by how nice Eli seemed and everything he promised about all the things he could do to make the car look beautiful. Boy did they over promise and under deliver. The quality of work on the car was shoddy at best. There were so many missed spots in and around the car. The whole process took 7 hours start to finish and when I finally got my car back at 4:30 pm it was too dark to notice all the things that were not done properly.
I pointed out one thing immediately, the guy had not wiped the cleaning solution off my window properly so there was a huge streak on driver's side of windshield. To their credit they immediately fixed it but I was too tired after a long day of work to complain about the rest of the stuff. Considering how much I paid for the service and considering how much Eli touted his detailing as being able to make the car look spotless, and considering all the positive reviews I was incredibly disappointed.
As far as mechanical work is concerned. I had my car inspected here before I bought the car just to make sure everything is alright. I bought it based on that trust and it's the very reason I went in for detailing. Now I wonder, however, whether I can completely trust them or not.
To be safe though, I would not return here again in the future.

I have a new car now that's still under warranty (a Saturn that I also LOVE, by the way) so I don't go to Canton Auto anymore but I certainly would if they could do my warranty work.

I am very new in the US, this is my first review for a business. 4 years ago, I got a Mercedes from a mechanic who told me that he fixed and changed my breaks and a lot of other electronic issues, overall I was told that a lot of needed work was done on my car, and it all ended up costing about $4,000, I didn't know that he was lying to me and took an advantage of me due to my lack of English, finally i paid and picked up my car and on the way home it was a rainy Saturday evening, I felt my car not working the way it should, and I was panicking and crying because I was just told that everything has gotten fixed, I saw a sign for Canton Auto Service and decided to get my car checked out there, when I got there it was when the shop was closing, I explained what happened to me that day to one of the workers there, he was very friendly to me and made me calm down, they even let me leave my car there and they gave me a ride home so they could fix my car ASAP, on Monday Eli aka the owner called me and told me the other mechanic I had completely messed my car up to the point where it was never the same, Eli said he had to fix a few important parts of the car, I told him honestly I had not even a dime to spend on the car since I paid so much to get the car fixed before, when he heard about what happened he did not even ask of me to pay for fixing the car at the moment, he said I could have as long as I needed to pay him, I couldn't even believe what I was hearing, he even lend me a car so I could get to work. Long story short, this family business made me feel like home, now they are not only my mechanic they are my very kind and lovely friends, I very highly recommend Canton Auto Service to everyone, and I can assure you unlike many other mechanics they will never lie to you about anything regarding your car.

Canton Auto is awesome. I don't live that close to them anymore, but I make sure to go to them for any major work that I need. Any hassle that I have to deal with to get my car there is much worth it compared to going to any other mechanic. I can trust them to tell me the truth and search for the best prices on parts. I have been using them for as long as I can remember. I just found out they now do body work too!

Ok, so I have been going to Sammy since I was 16 years old when he was running the gas station in Braintree. He is not your run of the mill mechanic, I wouldn't even call him a mechanic. He is a true technician. Everytime I bring my truck down he knows with in a day what is wrong and exactly how to fix it. He diagnoses squeaks, noises, grinding , whatever sounds out of place Sam can figure it out. I am a bit OCD with my truck and even though it's 10+ years old ,since bringing it to Sam it runs like a gem. He is extremely thorough and gets the job done. As far as the place it's a hilarious atmosphere the guys are always cracking jokes at each other , they'll even take u under your car and show you whats causing problems , what will eventually cause problems and set up times to diagnose each individually. These guys are doing it right, they are so busy sometimes it's get a little hectic, but let me tell you it's worth it. I have read all the reviews on here and the only negative review had nothing to do with actual mechanic work and ability! This past year they have added auto detailing and can completely understand getting that off and running can be be a little tricky, but I I have no doubt in my mind they'll figure it out! If u want a qaulity Job go to canton auto ask for Sam ...... You'll be impressed

This place is awesome! The gentlemen here are incredibly friendly and very customer friendly. They are sure to explain what is going on and aren't fearful to tell you exactly what they are doing. They also take you right to the worksite so you can see their hard work upfront. I also had tar on my car that no other detailing shop seemed to be able to fix but they were able to fix in a cinch. They go above and beyond. When i thought the mechanic industry was one i couldn't trust, i may have to reevaluate my thinking because i highly recommend this place. Even though I live in Boston, I plan to make my way to this shop every time I need an oil change, rotation, or any other service. I suggest you do, too.

Found these guys kinda by accident when my wife dropped in for an inspection sticker. Up to that point we had pretty much relied on major chains for tires and brakes and me and my tools for routine maintenance.
They're very knowledgeable, not pushy, reasonably priced and not afraid to say "you should really go to the dealer for that . . ." They also were able to fix a couple small issues, like squeaky brakes on my F-150, that other mechanics (like my Ford dealer) said "oh sometimes cars/trucks just do that."
The guys are also very accommodating and on occasion have taken us home when dropping off a car if my wife and my work schedules conflicted.
