I highly recommend Chip's Transmission!!! They replaced the clutch on my Toyota truck in May 2015. Almost a year later, it's still changing gears like silk. It may take me awhile to write a review, but when I do it is deserved and proven. Thanks!

i was almost scammed 3 years ago by a transmission shop and another shop found that it was just spark plugs. the shop that found it was just spark plugs is apparently out of business so i was referred to chips by a friend and i'm glad. once again what i thought might be transmission was not. you guys are honest. you didnt treat me like i was stupid. thank you guys! :) xoxo

Best experience with mechanics thus far in Knoxville by far. These guys will keep in touch with you and let you know every detail of what's going on and where along in the process they are, honestly and professionally. They are excellent at what they do and they guarantee it so you don't even have to worry. Also, they are very good about their prices and upfront and honest. They even let you follow up with them weeks after the work is done, for free, to inspect how their handy work is holding up. Very highly recommended. After visiting two other transmission places first I am very happy that I settled on Chip's; this is the place to go if you are having trouble with your car, hands down!

Already impressed by all the positive reviews I had read on their Facebook page and elsewhere while researching local transmission shops, I was even more impressed by the friendly customer service I received the moment I walked in the door. Phil is definitely a people person and made even filling out preliminary paperwork enjoyable as we carried on conversation. On top of being friendly, they are professional. I was invited into the back to watch them at every step to ensure transparency. They used fluid specific to my vehicle, no generic multi-vehicle cheap stuff. They kept me updated on their progress. And they set a 2 week checkup appointment to kick off their warranty. It's obvious they work hard to earn your trust and future business. No one looks forward to spending money on repairs, but my entire experience put me at ease that I had made the right decision in leaving my car with them.

Replaced our transmission in June 2010 for $3800.00. Transmission went out again in August 2010. As stated by our Honda dealer "the battery tray bracket was missing, power steering retainers broken and general quality of repair work was below minimum industry standards for this type of repair". This has been a nightmare. The owner refuses to return our phone calls. Stay away from this place.
