Not the worst but always below average. I live up the street and never walk out happy. Whether they find something wrong during inspection- which nobody ever questions, or you wait 90 minutes for an oil change they say will only take a few minutes, or they over-estimate a charge in a larger project.... I'd rather go somewhere where I don't feel ripped off. I look at them for convenience but find the trip across town or going Two towns a way worth the trip!

I had a broken wire in the headlight. They charged me for 2.5 hours labor. I can not believe it.

I got work done here on my radiator. I had my overheated car towed here and they performed the work quick and well. I really appreciated the phone call describing other issues my car was about to have due to deteriorating parts but felt no pressure to get the work done as they could tell I wasn't going to be holding onto my car for too much longer. Overall, very professional and accommodating.

It's one thing to pay money for quality work, it's another to pay for shoddy work. I brought my Mercedes to Lumber Street for a simple job- to straighten a bent rim that was causing vibration in the front end. They said they sent the rim out to be straightened, charged me $125 and then when I got the car back the vibration was still there. About a week later, I found that one of the lugnuts from that wheel was completely missing. Their mechanic must have either not installed it, or didn't tighten it. I had to go to MB to buy a new one. When I went to retorque the lugs on that wheel they were so overtightened that I had to put a 3 foot pipe on the end of my lug wrench to break them loose. Obvious they did not hand torque the wheel nuts!
On top of this, I brought a second car to them, spent 45 min with the car on the lift going over the work it needed and the shop never called me back with an estimate. I called them twice, still no answer. I'm done with Lumber Street auto.

I use Lumber Street Auto Repair exclusively for all of my work trucks and personal vehicles; they always come through in a jam. They have fixed everything I own; at one point or another, from my 4 wheeler to my large fence trucks. They are easy to deal with and give it to you straight. If you are local to Hopkinton or not, they are well worth traveling to get that unbeatable service! Lumber Street Auto is second to NONE!

Had dangerous brake issue and couldn't get to my dealer for service. They didn't hesitate to take on my urgent service request. They assessed the situation very quickly so I knew what to expect. I even got a free ride down the street to wait at home whioe the work was being done. They called me before performing an additional service to get my approval. They were done before the end of day at a very reasonable cost. Thank you! Great service!

I've had pretty good luck with these guys. They really seem to look over the car carefully - not just to find new business, but to make sure your vehicle is safe and reliable. I currently have a VW with ver 200K miles that still drives tight and fast like new, and an old Accord just shy of $200K miles and 25 years that simply refuses to give up the ghost. Part of that longevity is due to some of the good work I've had done at Lumber Street over the years. Very happy with them as a local, non-dealership repair option.
