I recently had a surprise transmission failure on my 05 GMC Yukon XL immediately after having a pair of new tires installed elsewhere. When they were going to take it for a test drive, the transmission went right in the lot.
I was to say the least, very worried about getting my truck fixed and the cost. I immediately called Trannyman and spoke with Mike. He said to bring the truck right down and they will take a look at it. Luckily, I was so able to drive it in forward, I lost the reverse and the drive was starting to hum as well. I got the truck to them just before closing on Monday 12/28.
Mike and Lee were very nice and reassuring that it will get fixed and not to worry. They started on the repair Tuesday and I was able to get the truck back on Wednesday at 3. Talk about being fast, I never expected to have my truck back this fast. When I fit there, they showed me all the pasta that are replaced and explained everything to me that was done. I took it for a test ride, and it was like a brand new truck, running quiet and shifting very smoothly.
Thank you Mike and Lee for making a major job seem simple and quick. You guys got the job done fast and for a price that was well worth it. Now I hope that I never have to see you again for another repair, just for fluid changes. ...haha!

In my business, mistakes happen. Not every job is done flawless. But if I ever make a mistake on someone's roof, there's no doubt I'd go back and do everything I could to iron out the issue because that is someone's home. Same should go for a person's vehicle. It is their livelihood, their means of getting around, and in my case my way of making a living. I brought my truck in last April and had my transmission "rebuilt". About a month or so later it started to slip. Not every time I drove it, but it happened almost every day. For a year it gradually got worse and worse and I kept bringing it back and informed them that something was wrong. Aside from a 5 min test drive here or there, Mike the owner showed little to no interest in repairing or even looking to see what the issue was. Finally, last month he got tired of hearing about it and said "welp, your warranty is up anyways so obviously there is nothing I can do for you", word..for...word! I was beyond furious and astonished to even reply to it. If you know what is good for you, keep your vehicle far far away from trannyman. I know I will. Doesn't even deserve a star....
