High Recommended

We have been going to Walnut Creek Auto Clinic for over 7 years. We highly recommend this place for auto repairs. Fortunately, the current owner has maintained the high standards that the previous owner had.

Walnut Creek Auto Clinic is OUT OF THEIR WAY HELPFUL AND HONEST!

unsatisfied

I would NOT recommend this mechanic. I was given an estimate for over $800 and the Toyota dealer fixed it for $200!!!!! They told me I needed a part replaced that is not even a replaceable part on my vehicle. (Feb 2010)

Do Not Go There

I would not recommend this facility at all. \r \r I took my Pontiac GTO in to have them give me an estimate on new brake pads and possibly turning the rotors. They came back with an estimate of $802.00 because in their opinion all 4…

I recently took my son's Ford Focus to Walnut Creek Auto Clinic based upon a friend's recommendation and I was very pleased with the service that I received. The car needed some major repairs which were explained to me in terms that I could understand. I can't remember the name of the gentleman with whom I spoke but he was very professional, courteous and honest. The final bill was actually a bit lower than what was originally quoted to us. A few days after the repairs were done, my son reported that he heard strange. I would definitely return to Walnut Auto Clinic for future repairs and I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for professional, honest mechanics.

Worst repair shop ever

This is by far the worst auto repair shop I have ever been too. First they couldnt fix my car, and after them having it for 2 days forget to latch the hood, yeah and just as i was driving yup, the hood comes up cracking my hood, breaking my windshield, and putting a biggggg dent in the roof of my car. And after confronting them about it they didnt want to take action for thier mistake, and they had the nerve to say it was my fault. So here we go to court, I would not reccomend this shop to even my worst enemy. I think I would have gotten alot more done if I did it myself, I mean I can have my car 2 days and say I cant fix it.....

While the mechanic was kind to deal with, it was the fact that they entirely FAILED to detect that the massive hesitation our car was having was not due to the CO2 sensors in the car being bad (which they weren't) but it was because the spark plug wires had micro-cracks in them which was allowing the spark to jump across from wire to wire and screw up firing order. The mechanic had our car overnight for diagnostics, and quoted us $1,500 to fix the issue. Given we could not afford that, my husband took the car home and put on his thinking cap. He sat staring under the hood, running over every single part of the car he could until it got too dark to see anymore, but he still kept trying. It was then that he suddenly noticed a spark, in the dark, and realized exactly what was going on. The next day, he replaced all the wires, and much to our delight, the problem was completely resolved. Here we are 200,000 miles later, and the car is still going strong, and has no problems with the O2 sensors as was suggested before. So, be sure to get second and third opinions before taking their word here. It appears they depend heavily on "machine read outs" rather than mixing in a little common sense to problem solve mechanical issues. This can lead to costly mistakes and wasted funds.

Incorrectly diagnosed the repair. The Ball joints they installed on my Son's vehicle came apart twice leaving him stranded. Thank Gid he wasn't going at a high rate of speed. They used two different ball joints both failed. I diagnosed the problem myself and found that the steering knuckle hole where the ball joint connects to was stretched causing vibration and dislodging the ball joint. They didn't inspect the issue like they should have. Said they would not warranty their own work because my vehicle had other steering issues. I should have packed it up then and left when he said that. They even accused me of tampering with their work. Why would I do that after paying them over $700 to fix the problem. Not happy at all with this place. They didn't even try to make it right.

This shop has done two Texas inspections for me and were friendly, helpful, and fast both times. I am new to the area but this place has already become my goto auto shop in Mansfield.

Took my vehicle in for 100k service last week. They called me in about an hour with an estimate for about $900 and explained to me all the recommended services . I thought it was a little high - more than what I had expected so I called the dealer and asked them for an estimate. The dealer quoted me $1500 for the same service. I had Walnut Creek do the service for me. I was very pleased with the service that they provided me.

I had a battery replaced on my 2013 Ford Taurus in August. My car would not start this morning. I got a jump and drove car to Walnut Creek Auto. Chris checked it out and let me know it was a defective battery. He put in a new one free of charge, as it was still under warrant. Great job. Thank You!

Took my Sons Blazer here for a Ball Joint repair. Two ball joints later and they kept breaking. The owner even accused me of tampering with the ball joints. They did not warranty their work. Turns out that the steering knuckle needed replacing. Thanks to the tow truck driver who immediately diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes of his arrival to tow the Blazer after the second break. $700 just gone! Beware! Beware! Beware!

Bad customer service and they always have excuses on why they can't service my car. I've gone in for an oil change/tire rotation, state inspection and to patch a tire, all three times I've been turned away and they can't give a good reason why.

Do not bring your car here. I brought in my wife's Ford Explorer to get something fixed so it would pass inspection. $1700 and a huge dent in the front of the car is the "great service" that we got. A reputable shop would pay for their damages. They denied the damages and claimed it was already there. Poor business practices!!

Do not bring your car here. The service is terrible. They will find a way to stick it to you! I went in to have a headlight changed. 15$ bulb? 24$ to install it? Really? A week later, the same bulb goes out. Now they want to charge me again for a new bulb and installation again and tag on some extra for checking the wiring(the wiring was fine but they still want to charge me for using a voltage meter).

I initially came in for an oil change that was advertised for 16.99$. They gladly took my keys and got to work. Then when it was time to pay, informed me that my car did not qualify for the 16.99$ price advertised and the actual price for my oil change was 25.99!
This place is horrible! I will never take our vehicles here ever again.

I drove my Jeep here on on 5/21/12 for a/c problems. I am a single woman and arrived alone. I left the Jeep there for diagnosis and was picked up by a girl friend. Six hours later, I was called and told my a/c compressor was frozen and the Jeep needed an entire system overhaul totaling $1650. I told them not to perform any work, that I was going to trade the Jeep in and would pick it up after work. I was informed that the Jeep would no longer start and would need to be towed if I didn't want them to perform the work. I had a male friend accompany me back to the shop....of course the Jeep wouldn't start. They had the a/c on full blast with a frozen compressor. My friend turned it off and disconnected it, the Jeep started right up. I drove to Autozone, purchased the required parts for $300, went to Kwik Kar on Broad in Mansfield. They added the dryer, a system flush, vac and recharge for $125 (including labor to install parts). I don't know how $425 in parts AND labor translate to $1650 at this place, I can only assume they saw a woman walk in the door and took advantage. DO NOT GO HERE. Total dishonesty and complete lack of integrity.
