What a nightmare of underhanded characters and deceit. My last trip to autocare was not my first unfortunately, so that being said, it's my fault I guess.
Please read this entire review, hopefully it won't get deleted as I see others have (I think the name of the establishment was slightly changed).
The first or second time after having work done at Nick's place, I ended up stranded on the side of the road due to a hose (see later entry on hoses :-P) to my radiator not being clamped down properly. Unacceptable! My good friend (whom I feel EXTREMELY bad for referring to these rats) had a similar issue where not only were basic components not replaced when replacing his radiator, but was filled with WATER! And yes, was broken down the next day after for a hose being burst off of the engine.
NEVER expect to leave paying anything close to what you've been quoted, Nick will always call you with a phony disappointed tone with a whimsical tale of what else he found, and just as well, you will ALWAYS need new hoses, and Nick will make sure he puts them on and charges you (at a ridiculous price) with no prior consent.
The final straw.... Our work van needed a new engine. Nick found one! After all the same BS later, it was close to TWICE what he quoted (my van still drips oil I might add). But it doesn't end here, no, that would be too easy. After returning a few days later to have a fuel line installed (that we already paid for in the bill near twice what was quoted) Nick tried to charge again. Already fed up with EVERYTHING, there began a verbal confrontation, and Nick will make damn sure to let you know what a favor HE is doing you by you giving him YOUR business, things went very array. He called me back a few minutes later to "apologize", BUT with yet some more bad news, for some reason "hmmm" he needed
hours more time (he said they had got the wrong part, but had been working with it for a couple hours and said it would be about an hour job).
Well, when I finally went to pick up my van, all seemed well, that is, until I got in.... All my hand tools, a load of power tools and a great deal of material was STOLEN! Aprox $3000 in MY STUFF, GONE!
Of coarse before the police came, Nick locks up and leaves right??! And with no sign of forced entry and all that was taken being systematically taken out with none of my pre-existing mess being disturbed, well, you do the math.
I have no PROOF that Nick or his shady looking workers stole or HAD my tools taken, but kinda funny that the officer who took the report also said it looked and felt like an inside job.
So ALL that being said, and me feeling like a complete over trusting MARK, I URGE you to PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE! Nobody should have to suffer this kind of injustice.
PS. This case is ongoing, though I doubt anything will come of it. My ONLY hope is that this does not happen to anybody else. I'll let Karma handle the rest.
