The Owner was a great guy he went by Zip. Sad thing he passed, but his shop has always been good to our family. They are honest and will only charge what is necessary and will give you a rental car as well. Prices are very reasonable and everyone is honest. They offer towing to the shop at no charge, and a warranty, really you can't ask for more :)

I have a 2002 Rav-4 and the transmission was slipping to the point it was not drivable. I called here first spoke to the owner Marvin, who told me he has been doing this for a LONG time (Later learned 60 years) and that he knows that it is prob. a computer problem. He diagnosed it as a computer problem and ordered a replacement computer. It was not cheap but it was cheaper than a rebuilt transmission. He towed my car in for free to give me an estimate and gave me a free rental car for the 3-4 days he had my car. Great service, honest and hard working owner a real pleasure to deal with!

My Honda transmission was shifting very erratically, I called several places, and everybody told me they wanted to rebuild the transmission because the transmission I have is known to go bad. I happened to call Gooddeal Transmission and the owner answered the phone and told me to bring it in to him and he would diagnose the transmission first hand, as he often can simply repair versus complete rebuild and that is exactly what he did. I had my vehicle back, running perfectly in one day and with a bill of only $320. I forget exactly what the problem was that he fixed, but the car has been running perfectly for over 6 months and it did NOT need a complete rebuild like several other shops wanted to do. Not sure about anyone else, but I do not have $3000 to throw away, and I really appreciate Gooddeal Transmission fixing my problem for about 10% of what every body else wanted. If I or any one in my family need transmission work we are going straight to Gooddeal Transmissions.

don does his best to help everyone, does an excellent job ( so good even local used car dealers use him ) he has never let me down and if a problem came up after he worked on it, he took care of it promptly, how much more can you ask ? ( heck dealers would never do that !

How about this? $80 for a quart of transmission fluid !! It took 2 "ace" mechanics to figure out that my simple old 1997 Dodge van was down a quart. Wouldn't that be the 1st, easy thing to check? No. It took 2 test drives: 1st with this "helper mechanic" who couldn't diagnose it; 2nd, the real Ace.
Oh- While I was waiting for the "ace genius," I asked the helper/ mechanic to borrow a special screwdriver to replace a taillight. The guy tried to pull off the lens without unscrewing the other 2 of 4 visible screws. Good thing I was standing there to tell him or he would've broken it. Very basic.
In all fairness, AFTER a test drive, the helper mechanic checked the trans dip stick, but didn't know that the engine should be running, in neutral. - this info is actually stamped on the dip stick. "Ace" had to show him this.
"Ace" defended that helper didn't know about the trans dip stick bec the helper drives a jeep and it's different from a simple old dodge.
Oh wait, isn't that the point?
