I've been a customer of Tim's at Continental Motors for over 10 years. He has always taken such good care of me and my vehicles and is super trustworthy. George is a great mechanic and the two of them make a terrific team. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solid and honest mechanic.

We were in a terrible situation, needing one last van load to finish our move to Greensboro when our van just died in the middle of the road. We ended up asking around for a reasonable, dependable mechanic and were told about Tim at Continental Motors. We called him and described the situation and he said he was 99.9% sure it was the alternator and gave us an estimate for parts and labor over the phone. He offered a reasonable tow fee and promised us he would have it fixed by the end of the day. He wasn't just right about the van's problem and was done within the time frame, but was also within a few cents of his estimate!! We can and will recommend his services and fees to anyone who needs a job done well at a price better than any competitors (of which there were 3 for us and neither would even take a "guess" at the problem nor would any give us an estimate of the cost!!) It's difficult to find a business/mechanic you can trust not to gouge you price-wise, who won't hit you up for fixes that aren't necessary and offer quality work. Go see Tim - he knows what he's doing and does it well. We'll be going back soon for additional fixes. Definitely 5 stars from a very satisfied customer!!

My wife and I have been trusting Continental Motors with our vehicles for about a decade. It is very easy to recommend Tim and George to anyone in Greensboro needing an honest and reliable auto repair shop. For 10 years I took my 1994 Ford truck with a plethora of old truck issues. I never once felt like I spent money on something that didn't really need to be corrected. The quality of work and trustworthiness of Tim and his crew have been consistently high. They give me peace of mind for the safety of my family and the longevity of our vehicles. I don't like spending money, but I do like knowing that it is being right. I have referred people to Continental for years and have never regretted it.

All other repair shops gave an outrageous estimate to repair my car. I brought it Tim to have a second opinion, I saved hundreds of dollars on the repair and now my car runs and drives great. Now I will only trust my car repairs be performed by continental motors. Great work and price!

I've been taking my car to Continental Motors for several years and have always been really happy with their service, price, an professionalism. Whenever there was an expensive repair, I was always given options, and in the end I've always been treated fairly. I really don't feel like I need to go anywhere else for auto repair.

I have been using Continental Motors for 10 years now. Tim and George are excellent mechanics and they are the easiest people to refer my friends to who need an honest mechanic. I literally trust them with my family's safety.
I have never felt like I was told I needed to repair something unnecessarily. I trust their experience and opinions because I have 10 years of history that has been consistent no matter who has been working with Tim.
If you are looking for something done on the cheap don't waste their time. But if you are looking for someone who will be honest and reliable with your vehicle and your money then I have no better recommendation than Continental Motors.
They are high quality and they stand by their work.

New to Gboro area & needed to get a vehicle when an old one died. Settled on a particular vehicle & had Continental do a pre-purchase inspection.
They reported a couple items, but downplayed them when they reported them to me. In fact, they said that anything they reported wouldn't need to be addressed in the next 10,000-12,000 miles.
Less than 60 days (and under 700 miles) after purchase, the angle drive (the car was AWD) self-destructed. I take it to another repair place (one who worked primarily on this type car) who remarked that the angle drive had a "very serious, very bad oil leak" and that it "was a bad oil leak a year ago."(before the car was even traded).
While I realize buying the car was my decision and is ultimately buyer beware, I also based part of a several thousand dollar decision on info Continental Motors provided me. To downplay the severity of was and had been an ongoing major mechanical issue gives me cause for concern, about:
1. How thoroughly they inspected the car;
2. If the person I spoke with was actually the person who identified and assessed the leak (if not, then how a leak of this magnitude would get so downplayed when relayed to the customer);
3. How familiar they are with certain vehicles, particularly import ones.
4. Why was info downplayed & glossed over in the first place?
I cannot feel any other way than disappointed in the value of the information provided in a pre-purchase inspection by Continental Motors. Giving 2 (**) stars. I would have given 3 stars if they had not downplayed the seriousness. If you are buying an import vehicle, seek out a shop with an excellent reputation who specialize in those types of vehicles.
