When I called Mike I was pretty much in a state of panic. I had just purchased a used car, and was getting ready to move in to my very first apt. Having a major repair issue happen during this time kinda freaked me out. Well I had went to a different repair shop, and when they called me with the estimate, I was in shock. For whatever reason, I did not feel comfortable with where my car was at. I thought they were taking advantage of me. So after asking around, I was given Mikes number, and I called him. From the moment he answered, I felt at ease. He listened to my long story, he was patient, informative, and took the time to explain EVERYTHING so I understood. He executes the meaning of customer service. He's more then fair, honest and most of all he loves what he does and it shows in everything about your Mechanic. I needed a new engine and Mike was very thorough and professional. He let me know I needed a couple of other items and now my car runs so smoothly. My only constructive criticism would be that I wish he had recommended I get the alignment done after he replaced the axels but he is not a tire guy so I am happy. :-)

Mike provides an honest assessment of problems found and does not push service that is unneeded or can wait. More than once he has informed me of things that would eventually need to be done but could wait if I wanted. Your Mechanic provides a great value and I highly recommend this shop to anyone that asks for a referral.

I am not surprised to see all the great reviews. I had the best experience with Mike, and an oil change on my 2012 Mercedes. Excellent customer service and at a great price. I almost felt like I was taking advantage of him - the deal was too good to be true!

Mike is awesome . He found a Leak when he was doing the breaks. We took the car a few weeks later to fix the problem and he very honestly told us that the leakage was no more . He thinks it was do to the breaks needing to be replaced. NOW, that's honesty . He could have put that money on his pocket and pretend he did fix it .

Mike is the most honest and reliable mechanic I have ever met. I was by a chain mechanic to do many different "preventative" maintenance procedures. I took my car over to Mike and we discussed it in detail after his inspection. Although it would have costed me over $1000 to do, he suggested that I hold off. I've never seen or heard of anyone turn down easy money. This simple act of honest is truly a testament to Mike's ethics and integrity. I whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone in need of an honest mechanic.

Was the best experience ever! My mechanic Joshua was professional, punctual and explained everything to me. Did not try to sell me other service that I didn't need. I live in Vacaville and he came to my residence and replaced the water pump and timing belt on my son's car. Did a 50 point inspection and payment was quick and easy! I will be referring this service and Joshua! Was a great experience, I would recommend to anyone!

Just called to get a quote on an oil change and spark plug change. The guy that answered was irritated already when he picked up the phone. First off the price he quoted was 45$ for a oil change on a HONDA CRV. Wow. I then asked for a quote for a spark plug change on the same vehicle. This is what he said verbatim : "We get these calls all the damn time. I'm not going to play pricing 'games' on the phone with you. If you want it looked at just bring in the damn car and we will tell you how much." I just said thank you and hung up. Just lost your boss some potential business you douche tool. Ended up going to a nearby shop who treated me with respect on the phone and whose prices were more competitive.

Five years ago I bought a "previously owned" BMW and have been paying for it (the decision and the car) ever since. Beautiful car, prestigious vehicle, fun to drive, a nightmare to own. These vehicles don't require servicing, they require nurturing. If you just want a reliable, easy-to-maintain car, do not buy a BMW . . . I'm actually sorry I did, but it took me five years to come to this conclusion.
Last week I left my car at the dealer at 8:20 a.m. for oil servicing and some visual inspections. This is a long story and I won't go into all of the details, but the bottom line is that it didn't get finished by the end of the day and they kept it 'til the next day . . . for a crummy hour's worth of service. I retrieved it early the next morning (it still wasn't done) and took it to Mike at Your Mechanic who was highly recommended and is where I should have gone in the first place.
Can't say enough about the level of professionalism, the quality of service, the customer care . . . all top notch!! I'll never return to the dealer (whose name shall not be mentioned here) but from now on it's Your Mechanic for me!!

I'm 54. During our lives, my wife and I have employed many mechanics, including private and dealership-related.
I have no problem with dealership mechanics: they are highly trained and very capable. But they sometimes work by protocols that are inspired by 'problem-free' thinking: they often replace parts far before their effective lifetimes are complete. The methodology works well for everyone, but consumers pay a high price for presumed obsolesence.

He is also extremely pragmatic as regards maintenance. Finally, Mike is a great person (not just in terms of height!)... with a wonderful personality and a great sense of humor.
Highly recommended by a long-time customer who drives too little, but has had much experience with auto-mechanics world... Mike has more than ably serviced our (Honda & Acura) vehicles for 4 or 5 years, inspected potential used-car purchases (for our kids) and has proven beyond a doubt his abilities and value! Extremely highly recommended!

Mike is very honest, nice and really cares for your vehicle. I feel extremely comfortable leaving my car with him. Contrary to most mechanics, he will not try to rip me off with things that are not necessary. In fact, he will work with you and provide recommendations to get the best price possible. All of my friends go to him and I will continue going to him. I do not live close to Mike's shop; however, I work around my schedule to make sure Mike is the only one who works on my Mini Cooper.
