Our Window broke and would not roll back up on our 2002 Honda so I took it in at IRC. They ran a free diagnostic on our car and gave us the details needed to fix the window and some other things that needed attention. They where very detailed with me which I like and there customer care was refreshing. they fixed the issues with the car and picked me up to get it which I thought was an amazing service to provide. All in all I was very happy with the service they provided me. Thanks again for your wonderful work!

I highly recommend Import Repair! I went there because they were listed on the website for places that dealt with BAR assistance and they were only about a mile from where I lived. Ted Heusuk helped me with my vehicle and he was always honest and upfront about what was wrong with my car, how much it was going to cost, and how long it would take to get the job done. I really appreciated the honesty and the frankness especially as someone who is unfamiliar with vehicle repair. Laurie was always extremely willing to give me a ride home so I didn't have walk home. IRC was very friendly and helpful, I plan on going back for my car needs. Thank you guys so much!

I came to this repair spot last November (the location is sort of hard to get to, as it is tucked away in the back) and was immediately greeted by Jim who helped open my air valve to get my heat running in my car since a previous repair shop had broken my climate control unit and I was unable to get heat going. I was able to get a convenient time booked with them and they successfully replaced my climate control unit and a faulty trunk actuator for my Acura Integra.
I love the fact that this business is family owned and ran by members of the family. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jim's wife, Laurie (sorry if I misspelled it!), as she was able to shuttle me to and from Sacramento State while my car was being serviced. It was a huge help to have that available. We talked about Thanksgiving dinners and it was great having conversation with everyone in there.
Overall, I would definitely head back to this shop if I have any other issues with my Integra.

Again, IRC comes thru for me as my trusty 97 HONDA was at the point a major tune-up was due. I've been a customer now for most of the work in the last few yrs and have not had any further issues after repairs were made. The old saying" you get what you pay for" I believe, if you go cheap, you get cheap. We all have expenses and running a business takes up keep and maintenance as well. I took in my car and found out my water pump was leaking and repairs were needed or I would have been stranded on the side of road in the near future. Thanks Jim and crew for keeping me on the road without any complications. Keep up the great work!

I really wanted to like this place, mostly because the owners are extremely nice. Sorry to say I will not be coming back. Ridiculously over priced!!! I can't imagine how the other reviews say they are great with prices. They wanted to charge me $700 to flush out three fluids in my car. Quoted me $800 to replace my headlight bulbs. These prices are outrages. I did pay $450 which I still think they took advantage of me. I left that place thinking I hope they did not take advantage of me because I'm a girl? I really hope that's not the case. Even dough I know car shops are notorious for doing this. Never coming back.
Luckily a friend from work recommended I go to Auto Stop on Stockton Blv. Steve the owner was great and reasonable prices!

Make an appointment during the week. I came on a Friday at 9.
I came in because my Toyota Corolla 2010 is going on past 90k miles. I have been doing routine oil changes on my own but figured I should get it inspected for preventative maintenance.
Jim (which I believe is the owner) looked it over and once done was very honest in regards to the car's condition. He stated that overall the car is great...but that it has maintained (Transmission flush, brake fluid and several other important points). He was very thorough in explaining why they were recommending the suggested maintenance which would have resulted in a total fee of $1,649.
I did not have those type of funds to do all the suggested updates. However, I did decide to get my rear brakes cleaned out and replace some screws that fell from the bottom of the car totaling $76.
I am giving them 5 stars because they were very honest with me. I took in my car to see what kind of preventative maintenance I can do to make sure I don't have to buy another car for another 50k+ miles. So I expected a list of things that could be fixed.
They provided with the list of recommended maintenance and admitted that if I shopped around I would probably get a better price. But the quality they provide would not be the same elsewhere.
All in all, very good experience. They were very friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. I was able to work in their lounge while I waited. They provide free Wi-Fi too. I will be coming back to see if I can get my front passenger side axel replaced and transmission flush.

IRC does great work and they can be trusted hands down. The first time I remember going in was to have my wife's "drilled into" gas tank replaced. They looked me up in their system and saw that I had brought my Honda Accord in their shop when I was in high school about 12 years previous. I now bring in both my tacoma and my wife's Jeep. Today I contacted them asking about switching out my wife's dead headlamp. They said just to bring it by and they would take care of it. I ended up getting my tires rotated at my tire shop so they took care of it for me there. At first you may think this is a very routine task but, while trying to rehabilitate my left hand from an injury at the moment it is vey difficult for me so it really means a lot to me.

Great service and friendly staff. I had a piece of exhaust system pipe rubbing/knocking against the underside of my Volvo 240. I called IRC and they were able to squeeze me in that same afternoon so I wouldn't have to drive all weekend with the pipe banging around. Price was fair and I expect I won't have to go back for this issue again. Thanks!

Since 1995 I have been using this shop and I WILL NOT GO ELSEWHERE in Sacramento (I tried a couple of other local shops prior and was not satisfied. One changed my license plate frame to give them FREE advertising)
I came to IRC due to a co-worker's recommendation and I haven't left.
During 1984 -1995 I used to drive from Modesto and Sacramento to Chico to have my car serviced. I asked that agency about IRC and they gave it a thumbs UP for the Sacramento Area.
Since '95 I have used this shop for ALL my family's HONDA cars since then: An Accord EX, and three Civics.
So very seldom can one find an honest car repair center. I was lucky in Chico, CA. and found one again in Sacramento with IRC.
I have read all the prior reviews back to 6/21/2012 and they mirror my experience over the past 19 years.

I started coming here when I was told elsewhere that my engine wasn't worth fixing and I wanted another opinion. Good thing I did! I really like this place!
Import Repair Center worked on my RSX for that major repair a couple years ago and I'm glad they did! I come back for maintenance for my car. It's always done quickly, everyone is super friendly and accommodating, taking me to school in the morning when I need to drop my car off before. I like that you can request your appointment online, and they will call to confirm, that makes everything really easy.
Their suggestions for you actually make a difference, quality!

I stopped by the shop today (on a Friday) because my car was making noise like a tractor. I have a g35 and the customer service that I received was amazing. This shop and it's employees are the best in Sacramento. I have had my Toyota truck serviced here many times. On several occasions, what could have been a very expensive fix turned out to be something simple and I was pleasantly surprised at the final bill. Their integrity is without question!

I have always been bothered about the ride comfort of my 2006 RAV 4. Each small crack on the pavement was magnified to the point that I would be cursing under my breath. I would always bring this issue up with Toyota dealer service departments whenever I would come in to get another complaint addressed. The other problems were addressed by the dealers but not the ride comfort (I was beginning to doubt whether I was just being overly sensitive to the cracks) until a mechanic from Toyota said that my rear shocks were leaking. Since I was trying to save money, I bought Bilstein shocks and shopped around for a mechanic. I looked at AAA-approved repair shops and after calling up a few places close to where I live, I decided to go with IRC because they gave me the best quote. I got my car back on the afternoon of the same day. Unfortunately, the ride slowly got more "jumpy'. Hold on, what's going on? I brought my car back to IRC and this time the front struts were "frozen" (like a frozen shoulder). Ted attended to my concerns and made arrangements to use the best parts. After getting the front struts replaced, my RAV 4 now rides like new. IRC saved me from a lot of headaches and unnecessary expense (man! I was ready to get another car). They honored the 10% discount given to AAA member customers like me. I now intend to keep my RAV4 for a long time.

I have to give these guys the best rating because there are no suprises, you get honest answers, great service and very competitive prices. My first experience with IRC was after another shop suckered me to buy all these unneeded parts for my Nissan truck, none of which actually fixed the problem. I dropped off the truck with IRC and within 2 hours they had diagnosed the problem (an ignition switch) and gave me a detailed estimate over the phone. I told them to proceed and it was ready for me to pick up by noon. I have been going to them ever since for all my cars. They cost half as much as Maita Subaru for the required maintenance schedule. I have recommended to all my friends and all have continued to use them.
