Bob and his crew have gone out of their way to help me in a pinch two years in a row. Amidst time constraints they have been able to get my car repaired same day twice, and both times the repairs could have taken another day or two. They have done an excellent job, and at a reasonable price. I live in Medford, and still would gladly go to his shop instead of something closer to me. Good people!

Do you have an auto mechanic that you trust 100% to make repairs to your car? Does your current mechanic take the time to go over your whole car when it's in his shop? Are you told what needs to be replaced then and what repairs can wait until later on? When you're given the invoice, is the total amount what was quoted to you by the mechanic? If the answer is "no" to any or all of these questions, then you need to bring your car to Ashland Service Center.
In July of 2013 I was hearing loud metallic creaking and groaning noises in the front and rear of my 2000 Chevrolet Prism. It had 114,410 miles on it. Bob diagnosed the problem as broken stabilizer links. He replaced them as well as locating and getting rid of several other rattles and squeaks that my car would make when going over railroad tracks, bumps, pavement cracks, etc. When I picked up my car, it rode like new.
After all the potholes that I couldn't swerve to avoid this past winter, the creaking and groaning noises returned to the front of my car. Bob looked at the car and said that it was the stabilizer links again but that they were under warranty. He replaced them and only charged me for the labor. He apologized profusely that the manufacturer would not cover the labor cost.
Would your mechanic have done this or would he have said that you needed to pay for new stabilizer links and the labor costs?
Bob's prices are reasonable. He'll do everything he can to keep your car in top running condition. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else to be repaired.

Prices are fair, service is great and the work is excellent ... and Bob Gooch is a hoot! Been taking my Volvo there instead of the dealership.

Ashland Service is a reliable, trustworthy shop...hard to come by these days it seems. Bob is very fair in his pricing, does what he can to get you in and back on the road immediately, and explains things to you like he actually wants you to understand what is going on with your car. We take both of our cars to Bob and will continue going back whenever we need Bob's help!
