Sam is the best guy and has the best auto repair business honestly I would not take my Lexus anywhere else he is very fair with his prices and an honest man I've been going to him for quite a few years now I moved all the way on the other side of town and I still drive all the way over there to have him work on my car he and his mechanics are always right too great place to go

I bring both of my BMW's to Sun for regular services - oil changes, brakes, etc. I had a battery issue a few years ago and they took the time to research the problem to find that the light in the trunk was staying on and draining the battery. In addition, the wiring to the lights was being slowly sliced by the hinge on the truck. They re routed the wiring, replaced the battery, alternator, and fuses and everything was back to working properly. I don't know of any other garage that would have gone to the lengths they did to find the problem. Was very grateful. Can't say enough good things.

My battery run down overnight and couldn't start the car in the morning. I called Sun Smog and they came to our house immediately and started the car for me. It was that easy. I really appreciate their help and can recommend them to anyone in need.

This was my second time a Sun Smog, and they did a good job. Sam has 3 mechanics working at the shop, and they did a good job on the repairs. The prices are fair, and they fixed the problems the first time. I've been to this place before, when it was owned by other people, but only for smog tests. Sam took over the business a few years ago, and is dedicated to making the customer happy. I'll be bringing my car back in for smog, and repairs. It's great to find a good repair shop near my home.

I have been bringing my acura to Sam for a couple years now, since he took over Sun Auto. He has worked on and fixed quite a few things on it since it is a 1999...I can honestly say I will not take my car anywhere else. Sam and his technicians are very knowledgeable and very thorough. He checks everything. He always talks with me about the best and cheapest way to fix my car.He explains everything very well and at the end of our conversation he gives me the total cost that is very fair. I have researched what he does and the cost and it has always been very fair. Sam is also a very good person, very polite and gets the job done quick for you. You should try him out and see for yourself!!!! So glad i found him!!!

Had an issue with the computer in my 93 land cruiser. Sam and his crew did a great job finding a used one considering the age of my car. Their price was fair and I have been driving the car since with out any issues. I would continue going there and do recommend them to others.

Sun Smog was awesome. I had a flat tire and called Sears auto repair to see what the wait time would be they quoted me three hours I then went to sun smog and it was done in 20 minutes and the guy was so polite and nice!
A couple of weeks later, the "low air pressure" light kept appearing on my car -- we filled the tires up twice, and one day later, the light appears again. I took the car back to Sun Smog, albeit a little frustrated/upset that I felt the hole was not repaired correctly. The guy agreed to try to patch the hole again. When I offered to pay at the end, he would not accept the payment! The second patched worked like a charm. Amazing customer service, and very honest. Will be back.

I also had gone to this establishment prior to Sam's purchase of the business and YES...what a difference! The only reason I dropped in was because the shop looked busier than it normally was when I used to drive around the back of the shop after getting gas.
I had an older van that I was preparing to sell and Sam kept the price and services to the minimum...only what had to be accomplished to make an honest sale. He also threw-in a few items that he had laying around from the previous owners that he didn't charge me for.
I strongly suggest getting your next service done by this shop. They pretty much do it all. Finding an honest, eager, and all-around nice mechanic is a rare find. Now that I just purchased my new Honda, Sam and his boys will have my loyalty for years to come.
The only problem for Sam and YOU...is that it's not easy to find from Blossom Hill because the owner of the property will only allow a small sign out front...Sam and Sun are in the back, BEHIND US PRO GAS.

I'd give the smog certification procedure a 5 if not for the price-it's a little higher than some others but you do get in and out really quickly giving Jerry brown his pocket change x700,000 to afford himself some decadent meals in places he should review.The one i went to was on Curnter/McGlincy though the address on the card I took says Blossom hill!Professional,fast and not requiring of brain calories thinking or concerning yourself with what they are doing with your car-you simply can sit in the waiting room,play with the toddler toys and watch! :)

The previous owners of Sun Smog have apparently sold the business to new owners. I stopped by today and Sam told me that they just took over two days ago. I only went in to fix a nail in my tire and get it plugged. They quickly fixed it, and Sam could not have been nicer. Since it was a simple fix and he wanted to build goodwill as they are new, he didn't charge me for the work (don't expect free service in the future :) ).
So although my experience was positive, all prior reviews are no longer valid with new owners. Hope the new guys match the former guys for good future reviews.

On a Thursday morning while going to work, I heard this horrendous squeak as I applied the brakes. Unfortunately, it was my car and not the one next to me. I did not have a mechanic and I needed to find one fast.
As a new customer, I went to Sun Smog and Repair with the usual apprehensions that anyone might have going to a new vendor. Who are these guys? Are they going to take care of me?
Initially, I talked with them over the phone (like a quick phone interview) and I had a favorable impression. So, I gave them the car on a Saturday morning. They offered a full inspection of the car. What I really liked is they distinguished between the urgent and non-urgent things that needed to be serviced. When I picked up the car they showed me the parts that they replaced so that I could see why they replaced them. I liked that.
Yes! They did take care of me. So, now I have a mechanic. I fully recommend Sun Smog and Repair. I thought they showed a real concern for the satisfaction of the customer.

I took my 95 Ford Explorer in because it did not pass smog. King was very helpful and patient. They were able to identify the ultimate problem and fix not only the smog but a damaged seal that was causing thermostat problems. The mechanic I had been using for 20 yrs. did not locate the thermostat problem, he just replaced the thermostat every time I took the car in for service. He did not seek the actual cause of the problem.
King and his brother-in-law were very helpful and informative. The place is not a show place and does not have comfy seating etc. Personally I prefer the exceptional rates to a comfy waiting room. It is a repair shop after all.
They did kindly pull a heater out of their shop area and brought it to me to keep me warm while I waited one day for some minor repair (seat belt catch broke).
I was extremely satisfied with the work and the price. I have since sent my daughter and this week my son will be visiting them. Not all "make oriented" businesses will treat you as if you have a brain and are to be respected as a customer, they did and I will return and recommend others.

I recently bought a 2005 Subaru Impreza wrx and needed to get a 100,000 mile service done on it so I decided to take it here. I was immediately greeted and felt like I had known them for years. They were extremely friendly and wanted to help. I could tell that they enjoy working on cars so I felt comfortable leaving my car in their hands. I ended up getting the service done, as well as getting my axle replaced, and getting four new brakes. I am currently a student so my budget is pretty limited but they provided me with student discounts as well as having already reasonable prices. I would have to say I got the best deal and am planning on taking my car back to them every time something happens or even for a simple oil change. I would recommend going here if you are on a low budget but still want great service and great customer service.

Can't say much about this place but great service and great price. Came in for a tune up, timing belt, basic check up since I don''t know much about cars. The guys were able to get my car in and out within 48 hours. They were a one stop shop I was able to get my smog check too unlike those other repair shops. King I believe that was his name was able to get rid of a clicking noise in the engine as well.
