On a family trip, yesterday, I noticed that one of my tires was losing air. Terry's crew saved the day diagnosing and repairing the tire quickly and courteously while we grabbed lunch across the street. When I went to pay, he said, "No charge. Have a nice day and safe travels." Wow, certainly didn't see that coming!

I travel a lot for our family business and was coming through Dayton. When filling up with fuel I noticed a leak somewhere above tank. I did a Google search and found terrys shop, kettering Oakwood automotive. They took my van in on short notice and even sent a mechanic with me to the gas station to fill up and see where the leak was coming form. I feared I needed a new tank, but the mechanic discovered it was just the filler tube. Back to the shop and within two hours total they had me back on the road at more than a fair price. They ever offered a loaner car if I needed it. it's sometimes hard to find a knowledgeable honest mechanic when travel as much as we do, but we found one today. These guys are a great family owned business and I do highly recommend them!

Had a great experience with this company. Got everything done and then some at a fair price. I had to leave my car over the weekend and was prepared to have to find a ride to work. Terry handed me the keys to borrow a car for the weekend and asked that I just replace the gas I used. I don't know of any mechanic that does that! Everything was completed as promised and on time. This is my new go to shop! And everyone was very friendly. Thanks guys!

I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of service and the friendliness of the owner and the mechanics. After going to two prior shops in an attempt to have my car fixed, I was informed of Kettering-Oakwood Automotive. After having this shop look at my car, they found that the problem with my car was a simple solution in which the two other shops (Midas and Pep Boys) failed to discover. After spending over $700 at the two prior shops and my car still having problems, Kettering-Oakwood Automotive was able to properly diagnose the problem with my car and made the proper repairs quickly and at a price that was more fair and reasonable than the other two companies. Terry, whom is the owner, and his mechanics at Kettering-Oakwood Automotive treated me like family. After telling Terry that I had moved to Dayton from California and did not know anyone in the area, he was more than accommodating to my schedule and need of transportation to and from work. Terry was more than happy to keep the shop open until I could get there from work and even helped me with a loaner car from the shop, so I wouldn't have to be stranded and have to take the day off. Terry and the mechanics at Kettering-Oakwood Automotive are professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and offer fair and competitive prices for their services. While going to a mechanic is not always cheap, Terry's prices are firm and fair and the quality of the work done is beyond reproach. Any future problems that I may have with my car, I will not hesitate to come back to this shop.

This is the best mechanic in Dayton. I've been to several mechanics recommended by friends and family, but no one comes even close to Dave Brenner at Kettering-Oakwood Automotive on Shroyer.
-I have never had a mechanical problem they didn't fix right the first time.
-They are always honest and totally up front about what's wrong and how much they estimate it will cost. They often give me several good options with the pros and cons of each.
-They are always reliable and accomodating.
-Their rates and charges are the most reasonable that I've been able to find anywhere.
It's difficult to find a GOOD, HONEST and RELIABLE mechanic nowadays. Dave Brenner at Kettering-Oakwood Automotive is the best of the best.
I recommend them to everyone; and everyone who has gone to Kettering-Oakwood Automotive on my recommendation has been very happy with the service and cost.

Not a good outcome! Long story short - they left a tool attached to my truck, that caused more damage than what I had, when I went in. In fact, I still have their compression tester valve as proof! So, if they test yours - ask them how that did it, without the tester valve!! The problem they said I had, was nothing near what I had. Ended up costing me more cash to fix their mistake. They haven't made good on my money back. Bad record keeping, poor front office - so I cant think that the shop is in any better shape (as far as business) Sorry - I wouldn't recommend them at all.
