Take photos of your car first!

We are here at Tip Top to pick up our BMW which received some minor body work and paint touch up. The work may be okay but I'm furious that the owner is claiming that two of our BMW hubcaps and one tire air cap were missing when we brought the car in. It's impossible! My husband and I walked around the car together when we dropped it off and noted every tiny scratch. I don't know if this is a deliberate act on his part or if a guy on his team took them before he photographed the car, but this is inexcusable. Take photos after you arrive and get his agreement that your car is whole before leaving your car in their care. As I was writing this he came out to apologize and he's going to replace each missing item (my husband must have been very firm with him), but I've lost my faith in their integrity.

While visiting the Ventura area from Texas I backed my daughter's new car into a post. After getting several repair estimates in Ventura I saw good reviews for Tip Top, stopped by there and am extremely glad I did. They gave a very reasonable detailed estimate for the repair and showed me quality work they were doing or had completed on other vehicles. Their work results, professionalism, courtesy, limited life-time warranty, and a reasonable estimate were impressive and I scheduled the work for later in the week. Repairs were perfect in all respects: smooth finish, perfect paint match, two day turnaround, and the final bill matched the estimate even though they buffed out some unrelated scratches. In addition it was really nice to deal with the owner/operators. I am very comfortable giving a high recommendation for this shop.

I have been using Tip Top for years, having several cars repaired and painted. I will blame that part on the kids. No matter, they have always been the most polite, honest group of people I have ever encountered. They explain everything to you in detail and do exactly what they said they will do. There are no surprises. Their quality is outstanding. I don't even think of going anywhere else. Why would I? I recommended them to a friend of mine who was having trouble finding a shop to do a frame up restoration on his old Toyota. They did the job and he was more than happy.

This is a business that you do not come across very easily. They work with caring, honest, professional style that is amazing... Good ole' Genuine Customer Service that is not found easily anymore! You will not be mislead by selecting this shop. I was recently in an accident and I could not have found a business that gives you the utmost respect from the moment I met the first person who greeted me with a smile & her expertise of how this business is run with precision from an Office Administrative position who is Maria, to Martin who is one of two knowledgeable owners who loves his trade & it shows well when answering all of my questions to the second knowledgeable, courteous & professional owner Jose, who gave me up-to-the-minute happenings with my vehicle and projecting its completion. You are treated so special it is amazing how each person took time out of their day from what they were doing to make you feel like a special customer. You will not regret stopping by this shop because you are not another ticket or number, they treat you like no other. I can honestly give this business five stars because they have earned it ! Amazing work done by Tip Top. First, they repaired a truck which had a dent in a fender, the result was spectacular. There is zero evidence that there was ever a dent there. When that was finished I showed them a scratch on my other car that I wanted to get fixed, the owner said he would touch it up for free. I drop my car off and come back to see zero evidence of damage again. Apart from the repairs, the entire staff are the nicest people in town. I would recommend Tip Top to everyone looking for any kind of bodywork. Excellent work and good prices.

I will give them five stars because I never got my work done from them. I am disappointed in what they wanted you to my vehicle I went somewhere else see my vehicle repaired. They wanted to make sure I had insurance they are very big on
Camaro they want is actually cut it up I went somewhere else and they actually just called the dents out no problem at all. They wanted to cut my entire rear panel out and charge me more because all the insurance. I would never go to them. I went to TnS. Scott was amazing and did not cut my car up !! I loved my experience here. I recently got rear ended and these guys fixed my car up in a little over a day. I called on a Friday afternoon and they got me in on Monday. Tip Top Body Shop deserves 100 stars! My wife and I were just sick when I wrecked our 2013 BMW 550i. I pulled in front of someone and got T-Boned. The damage was pretty extensive and I was afraid the car was just never going to be right again. I was blown away and pleasantly surprised to see the repairs were absolutely flawless! All our friends cant believe it. Everyone who hears our car was crashed looks it over and asks.... "Where did it get wrecked?" You can't tell! More than just amazing work - Jose and Maria made us feel like family. From the moment we walked in the door for an estimate they made us feel at ease and took care of everything for us. They walked us through every step of the process while handling it for us. They made sure to ok everything with us, dealt with the insurance company and even delivered a rental car to our house on a Sunday. They were meticulous at finding and fixing even the tiniest details. The paint, the lines and all the features are in perfect order. We will never go anywhere else again! It doesn't get any better than this. This is a company with a heart! You just don't find body shops that treat you as well as these guys. They truly made me feel like they cared. I should have written this review sooner. My apologies.
I have got to say that these guys did an awesome job at Tip Top! I am a pretty picky customer and I admit I can be a little demanding, but these guys didn't need me to demand anything because they took care of everything just as I would have.
My car was pretty banged up, front driver side fender, front bumper, and hood all damaged. It was a pretty ugly situation and my Fiance was pretty upset and worried about her vehicle, but Tip Top finished the job quickly. It's kinda funny, but the side that was smashed now looks better then the side that wasn't.

After being in a pretty bad car accident, my brand new (used) truck that was damaged from front to rear on the right side, came back to us in better condition than we had bought it after they worked on it! They worked with US, not the insurance company, and made sure we were completely satisfied and informed every step of the way. Not only did they fix the damaged side, but if they had the resources or extra paint etc. they touched up and enhanced the other side as well. When we got it back, it was washed, buffed, vacuumed, and ready to go. I could have not wished for a better result from such a sucky situation. I hope everyone who has an accident or a car that is banged up from wear and tear goes to these guys! You won't regret it!

I came in to Tip Top for advice on removing 7 bumper stickers that were disintegrating on my fender (but were impossible to remove). Martin took a look and immediately started seeing what he could do to help. He spent over half an hour carefully removing every last piece, without damaging the fender. When I asked him what I owed, the answer was that it was on the house! I was speechless. Martin and everyone at Tip Top was so kind and generous. They are honest, respectful, careful, precise, and knowledgeable. If I ever need work done on my car, this is where I'll go.

I believe in supporting the local businesses in the city of Ventura. When someone slammed into my parked car I needed a auto body shop. Tip Top was a few miles from my home. After visiting two other shops for estimates I choose them. They helped me get a rental, and did an Excellent job on the repairs. I recently purchased a new truck and sold my old one. I wanted to transfer my truck's shell from the old truck to the new truck. It needed to be repainted to match the color of the new truck and I needed a rear split window installed also. I tried other body shops but they were all to busy or never returned my calls. Tip Top and more over Jose the owner, was very busy but was still very willing to help me out and extremely friendly and honest. He took the time to go over my options from low cost and what that would guarantee me and top of the line cost. I chose the high cost on the paint job and went with a used rear window for low cost which Tip Top found for me. Not easy to do, it took some time but Jose worked hard and found it. The staff here is very friendly and supportive and I loved hanging out and talking with them. Their work is superb. My shell matches my truck better then any camper shell company ever painted it (they ship them out so they can not match them exactly to your truck) and it cost less. The window looks like it has always been there. Jose and his staff are very knowledgeable and honest. There costumer service is a cut above. Hard to find in this day and age exceptionally in the Automotive Industry. I highly recommend them.

I have had a series of unfortunate accidents in my driving record. All of which have been taken care of by tip-top. In which the first two were small but the work done on them was excellent, the last accident I had was considered a major accident on my brand new dodge charger I had the car towed to the body shop and before I knew it they had started repairs . Jose handled all of the paperwork and insurance while his brother Martin worked on my car and in no time my car was out in perfect condition. Nobody would believe the accident I had if it wasn't for pictures. I cant thank them enough for how much they have helped me I see them as friends and would recommend everyone to go there for the best body shop experience around.
