Took my car in for an oil change. Was treated courteously and the staff were all friendly. Although they were backed up with other clients, you could tell that NOT getting to my oil change made them anxious and even all the more attentive and hurried to get to me. I think yes, I would go back. Thanks to the new owner, Ben.

AAMCO Lancaster is terribly managed from the owner down to the mechanics hired. I took my car in there to be tested and ended up with a car with a completely defunct transmission. Not only was I charged for the labor and tests to get the car to the state it was left, but I was told I would have to pay for them to repair it back to the state it was when I took it in or I could purchase a new transmission. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they were found to be at fault, yet still refused to rectify the situation. An incredible level if ineptitude at all levels. Will never go back, neither would I ever recommend them. As I said in the first portion of my review, due to the incredibly misleading nature of my discussions with Ron (the manager) and my complete dissatisfaction with the 'work' that was done on my car, I had the Better Business Bureau dome in and do an investigation and AAMCO was found to be at fault. Since the BB cannot enforce their findings and recommendations, AAMCO offered me a $400 gift card if I was to have my transmission repaired at the shop (the same transmission they themselves damaged during teardown). I obviously refused such an insulting gesture and I will never recommend their incompetent and extremely poor service to anyone.

I went to Amco sit for 4 hours to get an estimate on warranty repair. They ordered the parts and I made an appt. Got there at 8:00am and was told they couldn't do the repair until Monday. They said they needed the car all day but didn't understand I work on Monday in san Bernardino. This is the third time Amco will drop my transmission for repair. I really really unhappy with Amco service. I went almost three weeks without a car for there failure. Originally aamco Redlands repair it first and second. But this Amco didn't honor my appt. Unhappy customer.

I have had my car serviced there several times and every time the customer service was great. They are honest. helped me save money when possible. They picked me up from Palmdale to take me to the Lancaster shop. They were on time and communicated with me at all time. Seriously love it here. My fianc has taken both our vehicles here & we are ALWAYS treated with respect & understanding. The last few times we've gone in there's been a new woman named JoAnne who just a riot! I love having a female around who is willing to break it all down for me! I recommend this place to everyone I know- if you're looking for honesty & the best work-- this is the place! They won't make you buy anything you don't actually need replaced just yet & the staff is helpful!! Extra shout-out to the owner Ben (I think that was his name) who made sure JoAnn took care of us!

They tried to extort me for more money based on repairs they didnt even perform, the manager Ben and his assistant Joanne have been nothing but rude, disrespectful and outright unprofessional. I would rather have used a backyard mechanic then supposedly reputable AAMCO. They lost a customer for life including all of my family and friends.

Came here recently to have my transmit job fixed... Obviously a ridiculously stressful time for me & my family who desperately needs our vehicle.
We mostly spoke to the a woman named Joanne who was kind & empathetic to our situation. I think she even made me laugh a few times (certainly didn't think I'd be doing that!) it's also nice to speak to a woman who doesn't treat me like I'm a complete idiot for not knowing everything regarding cars!
I appreciated the team's efforts & understood that if I wanted it done right (which I most certainly did) then it would take some time. It did. But my car runs wonderfully!! I feel like they were all honest with me about what NEEDED to get fixed vs what they could "pad" my bill with!
I'll keep going here for my service needs & send my friends & family! Thanks Aamco team!!

!!!!attention!!!! ****scam alert**** ****fraudulent sales practices****
if you or someone you know are thinking about going to this aamco, owned by ben bahrami, enter at your own risk!!!
i was de-frauded. several major jobs that were explicitly agreed upon were not completed!!!
i literally drove my vehicle off the lot and heard a horrible scraping sound coming from underneath the vehicle....it was part of my steering housing!!!!
even worse: i immediately drove the vehicle back to the lot and ben bahrami (owner) told me, "i told you over the phone that your rack and pinion steering looked like it was leaking, but we never touched it." oh, really, ben?!?! then why is part of my rack and pinion steering hanging off of my vehicle?!?!?!
****overt conspiracy to commit fraud by the owner ben bahrami and his horrible service manager joanne*****
forget about the crazy, rude and insolent attitudes of ben, joanne and the secretary, this franchise ( if not all aamcos) need to be shut down by the ftc.

I've never used an AAMCO service center before. Not overly thrilled about trying new places either, but my availability is typically limited to after normal operating business hours. Spoke with the owner (Ben) prior to service and he mentioned they had a drop off and pickup service if I wanted to drop the truck off in the morning. So I scheduled an oil change for the following Monday morning.
Seeing as I've never been to an AAMCO before, least of all the local one, I had to google "Lancaster AAMCO" and found the address. Lancaster AAMCO's business location doesn't jump out at you from the street, but I found it with no problems. The parking lot was clean, nice sized parking spaces, and a space was available next to the front entrance. Walking in, the lobby was spacious, the staff were actively working with customers, and Bob assisted me within a matter of minutes. The owner (Ben) even came out to greet me.
The price of the oil change took me by surprise as I'm used to paying $10-20 more elsewhere. Shortly thereafter, I was delivered to my office. A few hours later, I received a call to let me know my truck was ready and my ride back to my truck would be arriving within the hour (just happened to be around lunch time, so it worked out great). Was working with a client when my ride arrived and the driver was very understanding of that fact and waited another 10 minutes before I could make it out.
On my finalized printout, I noticed some notes taken on my truck regarding a cracked AC belt and a couple burned out lights. Wasn't expecting an inspection of other incidentals on my truck, but definitely nice to know they were checking it out and notifying me.
Overall, I was quite pleased with my experience.
On a related side note, there's no window sticker with the mileage telling me when to come in for the next oil change. The mileage was on my finalized printout, but I'm not even sure what I did with the printout at this point. Little mileage sticker on the window wouldn't go missing as easily.

Very reliable, great customer service. My truck was worked on and finished in a timely manner and everything was explained to me thoroughly, meeting all my expectations. I love that they have transportation services to your destination and back so you're not sitting in the waiting room the entire time. Although, it is a clean and inviting waiting room. The employees are welcoming and professional. A+ and I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

Terrible service! They Tried to sell me on a remanufactured transmission as the only option. $5000 +
I asked if there were any other options of which they said they'd look into it. They did not call me back the following day as promised and when I did speak with them they made excuses and tried to sell me on a used transmission that was almost as much as the previous offers, just as old as my current one and with no warranty.
Clearly Aamco makes a living off the backs of unsuspecting hard working customers.
I will never, ever consider using them again.
I went to Leon's Transmission in Reseda. Cheaper, faster, organized and great customer service!

Awful Service! Be very careful if you take your car at this place. Bob thinks he knows it all.... And he doesn't!! Paid them over 5k for a transmission on my 2006 Lexus.. Picked it up.. Job was not complete! Bob says have to take it to the Lexus dealer to have them take the codes off!!! REALLY BOB??. Had a lot of so called jibberish answers.. None which made sense.. Lexus wanted to charge me 150..to simply take codes off.. N laughed when I told them Aamco could not do it.. They simply are not trained in the latest technology!!! So... My husband looked at utube... Fixed it himself in about 10 minutes!! Talked to Ben the owner... Just said he will speak to his boys.. Umm... OK.. Bad business!!!!!!

Brought my Ford Edge in in Saturday to check out the transmission. The owner calls me at 12:27 to tell me the guy who does the diagnostics was not in and they would run the check on Monday. ..at no point did he mention the $190.00 fee that goes with that. I had to call several times throughout the course of the day on Monday to even find out if they looked at the car. ..still no mention of any fee, finally a call back after my three calls only to quote me almost $5000.00. The owner Dan lies and said he told me. ..and the quote is ridiculous. ..down to L.A I go. Pet peeve lying and lying.

I don't often show respect for mechanics but these guys deserve it. They are very fair when it comes to pricing, unexpected difficulties, and honoring the warranty. They're also skilled at diagnosing difficult problems that are difficult for other mechanics to find.

Brought a friends car in for check engine light. Was first told $55 to pull the codes. When codes came in I was told it would be $310 in order to further isolate the 3 codes. I was then told by the owner I would have to spend the $365 ($55 + $310) and then they would tell me the "final" price for the repairs. I paid the $55 dollars and got the heck out of there for a second opinion. Another very reputable local car repair charged me $118 to diagnose which included up to 2 hours labor if I agreed with the total repair price and had them perform the repairs. AAMCO manager was very nice and this AAMCO probably does great work but they are clearly taking advantage of gullible customers and are overcharging for labor. Auto repair shops have a book which places time limits on labor for a certain job. It appears, instead of actual, this AAMCO is automatically charging for the full time limit. At least in my case.

Got my oil change done for the first time at AAmco. Most of the time I worry about going to a new mechanic but this company was very friendly and only recommended what I needed for my car. In no way did I feel like I was being manipulated or tricked into getting something done on my car that was unnecessary. That is a feeling you rarely get anywhere. 5 stars for AAMCO!!

Awesome! Awesome place! Came here to get oil change, p/s flush, coolant flush, brake fluid, transmission fluid exchange. The price was better than what I could find anywhere else. They called me when it was done. They checked my battery and did a diagnostic test for me. After the service I checked everything to make sure. Everything was super clean. I have had bad service before trying to get these type of thing done to my car, and have been screwed. But not this place. The owner even have me some tips for my car as well. Very satisfied.

I recommend avoiding this shop. They are incompetent working on Ford 4r100 transmissions. My truck had a non functioning coast clutch and no 2nd gear and they said nothing was wrong. Never, never again. They changed the trans fluid and sent me on my way. Unbelievable!

So unhappy. Over charged for labor, didn't use my warranty coverage so I got stuck with a huge bill. The car never ran the way it should and it took another mechanic to fix and get my warranty to repair my car the right way. I feel they took advantage of a single woman who placed her trust in what I thought was a reputable shop. Shame on you!

Ron and his associates will over charge you while providing horrible workmanship. I had them simply inspect my transmission and when I got it home after I decided to do my own repairs since they wanted thousands of dollars over what the repairs would have cost at any other shop. I found loose bolts through out everything they touched! Do not go here!!!

I was very disappointed. I went there as they are a AAA rated repair shop. We had to leave the car all day, was told they would call us - they never did. We called them just before closing and went to pick up the car only to be told they didn't have any idea what the issue was and that they would have to take the transmission apart to find out! $700 - very hard sell to get this done. No thanks! We went somewhere else to find out all it needed was a trans flush! Less than $200 - be careful of these guys!

If I could give them a negative number I would. At any rate. If you think you'd be saving money by avoiding a trip to the dealer's and going to this AAMCO, you'd be ripped off. Don't ever go to these guys, not even for an oil change. I took my car to them and they charged me for the price of genuine Toyota part when in fact they went someplace else and got an aftermarket part. I didn't find out till I went to the dealer's for servicing and they noticed it. I'm getting ready to go to the BBB and file a complaint. I sure hope they go out of business soon. This world would be relieved that these bloodsuckers are not out there anymore ripping off people. The best place for them is a jail with Sheriff Arpaio around.
