With an army of used cars bought for our kids, we've found First Stop Auto to have the most dependable and honest mechanics in town. We recently had a problem with a window that would not roll up and down. Due to the design of the window, the original part was around $1000. The mechanics at First Stop were able to find window track rollers online and repair it for $135. This is an example of the kind of care they give our cars and we really appreciate it. It's exhilarating to find a business you can trust these days! Give Ed a call!

"Honest", "Reliable", "Knowledgeable", "Reasonable Rates" are words I would use to describe First Stop Auto Care! I had my car's A/C compressor/clutch replaced recently and was very glad I took it to Mr. Hacker's shop. His service writers and mechanics know what they are doing for sure!....and they beat the dealer estimate!!!! Do not hesitate to take your car there for repairs. Like me, you will be glad you did!

I have been taking my automobiles (six in all) to 1st Stop Auto Care Center on Delzan Place for 22 years because I've always received an honest, professional diagnosis as well as dependable recommendations, all at affordable hourly repair rates and reliable, competitively priced parts. They stand behind their work and have been willing to go above and beyond to satisfy me as their loyal customer. It's no wonder Ed Hacker has run a successful business for over 25 years.

1st Stop has always treated my elderly father so well, that when I was traveling through town and my check engine light came on, it was the only place I considered taking my van. Because the guys knew that I would only be in town a couple of days and needed to make a long trip home, they immediately diagnosed the trouble and got my van in quickly to have it repaired. They even let me use a loaner car while it was in the shop! With every interaction with 1st Stop, I have always felt that they were giving me the straight story with nothing extra added on. We very much appreciate their integrity and their service!

I have been using 1st Stop Auto for years with good service. However, I caught them using my vehicle to tow other vehicles into the shop. That's NOT an appropriate use of a customers vehicle. Time to find a new repair shop after 10 years. 5/2/16 update. I went back to 1st Stop Auto. The owner remembered the above issue and apologized again. They worked diligently on my car to diagnosis a difficult problem. Thankful I gave them another try. They have earned back my business.

My family has relied on Mr. Hacker for many years and I just recently became a valued customer at first stop auto care and let me tell you. I've never met a man in this profession as honest and trustworthy as this man. Unfortunately i cannot rate this any higher than 5 stars but it is definitely worth 10. It's not just the quality of the repair or speedy service, it's the the values that come with the friendly faces and the drive to go that extra mile for the client. The starter recently went out on my sister-in-law's 2006 Honda Civic. I brought a remanufactured starter that I purchased from a local parts store to 1st Stop for them to install.
The service advisor could not have been any more rude or condescending in his attempt to upsell a more expensive original equipment starter that they would get from their supplier. Over and over again, he explained that they would not warranty the starter (what?) and proceeded to treat us as though we were not only completely ignorant, but also a major inconvenience to him. Upon leaving, the mechanic came to the front to get the part and they made some wisecracks to each other, right in front of us.
There was no fault with the work that was done, but unfortunately, for the way were treated, I will not return nor can I recommend 1st Stop to anyone else.

I had an unusually plaeasant experience at 1st Stop Auto! I had just come from another car repair place where I had had to spend $500 on my brakes. I still needed some electrical work that the first place couldn't do so I went to 1st stop auto-second. Even though I got there in the middle of the day, they still got my repair done within two hous and, wait for it... They didn't charge me! Wow. I really should have gone there 1st!

I was told at NTB that I would need new back brakes and two pairs of struts, costing me a total of $600. A friend recommended 1st Stop to me, and I'm so glad he did. Turns out that I didn't need new back brakes nor struts at all (stay away from NTB unless you enjoy your money being swindled), just maintenance on my filters and a new belt. From now on, this place is where I'll be going for car problems. Honesty is definitely the best policy, and that's their policy.

This place is the best in the business. I had a 98 Mercury Mystique on its last legs and could not afford nonessential repairs. I just needed it to keep going long enough to save money for a new car. These guys gave me fair prices, discounts, and let me know what absolutely needed to be repaired and what could be put off. They are friendly, helpful and honest. Take your car there and see for yourself!
