Rhonda (she greets you right when you walk in) asks you questions and verbally trouble shoots just to give you an idea of what you're looking at price wise. My son and I have been bringing our cars to Rhonda for 10 years. She has always bent over backwards to make sure things were right and she will admit it if she doesn't feel they can fix the problem. One of her mechanics actually told me he would charge as much as a place closer to my home to install struts so I should take it there if I didn't feel like bringing my car to the shop! How can you not love service like this? Rhonda always give you options. She once looked at my car and it needed work but not right away so I didn't need anything done that day. I couldn't ask for a better place to take care of my car. It is always done on time and Rhonda continually calls to give me updates. I wouldn't go to another repair shop ever.

They did a diagnosis and found out they couldn't work on my vehicle because it had a computer programming problem, but they told who can work on it which was very helpful and they didn't charge for the diagnosis which was awesome . Overall great techs very friendly staff. And also they had an area for my kids to play in.

Rhonda was very friendly and informative. I called about two gauges that were not working on my 2005 Mustang. She aid she had to order the part from Ford and would call me back with an estimate. Ten minutes later she calls and gives me the price of part $400-$500 not counting labor. Turns out she would have to replace the entire cluster as they don't break that component down. Then she told me their was a shop in west sac that would repair just the effected gauges for about $300 then she gave me their number and wished me well.
What business does that? She isn't making a dime off of me by referring me to this other shop. WOW!!! I am telling all my friends about this. So I'm hopping it will send business her way.

Honest and female-friendly. The owner, Rhonda, will answer all your questions (even dumb ones) without making you feel stupid. The mechanic (forgot his name) is honest. I had been to another place that wanted to sell me brakes when I was just there for an oil change. Evert could have made extra money from me, but the mechanic said that I did not need brakes for at least another year. My dad, who was a mechanic (but now lives too far away to work on my car) was extremely pleased when I forwarded him their initial quote, and told him about my experience with their service and prices. This is a great place.

You won't find a better mechanic than the ones at Evert. When we had a hell of a problem with a car we bought at Carmax (long story) Rhonda was a lifesaver. Not only did she get our car fixed before Christmas so we could spend the holidays with family, but she petitioned the warranty company to cover most of the work! We'll be bringing our car here for any other work it needs in the future, and I will be recommending Evert to all of my friends!

The mechanics are friendly, experienced and helpful.
However, I had them do a tune-up, including getting some spark plugs replaced and had to pay almost 400 dollars.
At first, I didn't think the price was too high, but then I asked about getting my two front axles replaced since they'd worn and the boots were leaking. The consensus, which was later reinforced by another mechanic, was that the entire axles needed to be replaced. I had no problem with doing that.
This location quoted me $710 to for parts and labor to do that job, which they said would take about a day to complete, based on the 4 hours they said it would take to complete the job along with time needed to get the parts.
I decided to wait a week and during that time I shopped around and found another mechanic in the same city that was willing to do the same job for $385.
The second mechanic was also shocked when I told him how much this place was wanting to charge me for the same work.
Evert Automotive may know how to fix a car, but their prices seem far from competitive.

We have four vehicles and I try to fix most of the day to day problems that we have with them but when I run into an issue that I cannot solve Evert Automotive has been there to take care of me. I just don't trust taking my car anywhere else. I will travel all the way from Oakland to visit Evert Automotive and it's worth it. I know that under Rhonda's care I'll get an honest rundown of everything that needs to be done - this is further broken down into what should be done now and what can wait until later. I have total faith that whatever they say needs to be done -actually needs to be done. There is no pressure and no scare tactics. You'll be treated with respect and kindness. This could have been a nightmare for me...but thanks to Rhonda and the good mechanics at Evert, it worked out perfectly. I broke down with mystery problems that seemed to have something to do with the ignition. I was stranded 500 miles from home and my own mechanic. Evert was recommended by family in the local area, so I put my trust in them to diagnose my problem, and hopefully get me back on the road.
They took their time troubleshooting...then rechecking...and in the end discovered it was a loose ground wire but it was happening intermittently. They charged me only $100, (for lots of diagnostic work) and I was greatly relieved. I would have easily believed any number of things they could have told me was wrong...or have paid for some "trial and error" repairs - I was truly at the mercy of their honesty in this situation. In my mind, I had already figured it was a $600+ problem. I recommend them heartily. Honesty, hard work and willingness to do the job right are 3 values in a mechanic that make the difference.

I recently had work done on my Isuzu Trooper, and because I didn't have a mechanic already, I was very nervous to choose somewhere to take it. From the moment I spoke to Rhonda, my fears and nervousness disappeared. She quoted me a reasonable price, thr mechanics fixed my car quickly and fully, and everyone was very pleasant and helpful, even in recommending a shop to get some welding done. In addition, I sat in the shop with my 1 year old while my car was being diagnosed, and Rhonda was very sweet to my little girl. I will definitely be coming here for all of my future car repair needs.

I have to echo the sentiments of others here: I trust Evert wholeheartedly. As someone who isn't really car saavy, it's nice to know I can take my car here and not worry about being taken advantage of. Not just that, but the work is reliable and the people friendly. My whole family takes their cars here and Rhonda has been listening to us talk and talk and talk for years, and she's never told us to shut up yet. I have also had some, let's say, "operator error" problems with my car and I've never been made to feel stupid about it. I even lived in a different county for three years but still came back to Evert when I could.

HONEST SERVICE
Rhonda and her crew have delivered high quality auto repair services to my family for over 25 years. On many occasions I have turned over my vehicle, expecting an expensive repair, only to be informed that the "fix" was simple and inexpensive. In other words, they could have easily taken advantage of me and they did not. You may find cheaper service out there but you will not find mechanics with greater integrity and honesty. Finally an honest repair shop. They didn't do anything to my car because it didn't need it. They could have easily done $400 or more but were honest with me about the problem.

Rhonda just did a 200,000 mile service on my Accord. That should tell you how good the mechanic's work is and I expect the car to last me another 100,000 with Evert Automotive's servicing.

Every Automotive is the best mechanic I've ever been to. Rhonda is the most honest owner I've ever dealt with. Her shop does not upcharge you or try a scare you to getting things replaced. My husband and I (both almost 70 years old) discovered Evert Automotive about 13 years ago and Rhonda has saved us so much money over the years. They have to be the most honest, knowledgeable people in the industry. We have sent many friends to her over the years and they always thank us. We even discovered some friends had been using Evert for years too and we never knew it, and also had nothing but praise for her. We have a 2001 Camry that Rhonda advised us to buy new (love it) and a salvaged 2005 Civic that she checked out thoroughly before we bot, and have never had one problem with either, thanks to her. We moved from Elk Grove a year ago, to Fair Oaks area, and still drive to Evert for service because it is the only shop we trust to be completely honest and do excellent work.
