Dropped my truck off on a Tuesday to be inspected on a Wednesday and still didn't have an estimate by the the end of the day Friday, so had to wait over the weekend. Felt like a lot of haggling for what eventually turned out to be an over inflated price. Glad I decided to eat the inspection fee and go somewhere else because it saved me $1500. Well Four shops and many headaches later, I called Shawn at AG Diesel and described my symptoms of my 2004 Silverado Duramax Diesel to him. At this point I was frustrated didn't know what to do, needed my vehicle for work and commuting. He listened to my jumble of words for a half an hour and said " tell you what, why don't you bring your truck in and let us take a look at it". Well to be honest the other four shops I went to in the Portland area said the same thing and many $$$ later they never figured it out. Took the truck into AG Diesel as the last resort. Scheduled an appointment and let the ride begin. Two weeks into diagnosing and many many hours later, nobody could figure it out, but they got it running decent with still some rough idle issues. But was drive-able now! So paid them took my truck back home and did minor repairs, such as replace batteries, change oil, fuel filters etc. Well after I had it a month the monster was back and was un-drive-able AGAIN! I didn't know what to do. Went ahead and climbed under the hood for the 100th time and started wigging wires and fuel lines. Well finally relief, I think I had found the culprit! Called Cameron at AG Diesel with pure excitement and told him what I found and wanted him to take the truck and see what he thought. Took the truck down there they fixed the issue and charged me VERY little $$$ for the 5 hours of work they did the second go around. Could not believe that people/ shops were even around that would do this for there customers,. Cameron and his crew did an excellent and professional job and am more than happy to recommend this shop to anyone that has any gas or diesel vehicle repairs that need done. I will definitely be back in again. Thank you again AG Diesel Team for getting my truck back on the road.

I've been using AG Diesel since 2012 (4+ years) and they really do superior quality work. From general maintenance, to great advice and even half an engine rebuild due to a bad head gasket the parts they choose and the work they do is top notch.
I see a lot of comments that they are more expensive. While in some cases that may be true sometimes, for me its "you get what you pay for." My truck is critical to me when pulling 10k+ pounds and breakdowns are not acceptable, I have full confidence after they have worked on my truck something else won't go wrong because of that repair and the original issue won't return.
Whenever I drop my truck off there I have no doubts its in good hands and will get great treatment.
Diesel trucks can be expensive to maintain but putting better quality parts in and having people who know what they are doing can really make them last well beyond the 500k marker.
They even do custom modification work and in my case support all the custom mods my truck already had, which I love.
I will continue to take my 2008 6.4L F250 there in the future.

Very professional, that was impressive. Was up-sold throughout, that was irritating. Mad at myself for getting talked into a $221 overview of the truck's condition, a total joke! Any shade-tree mechanical could do the same in about 30 min for free... told me my brake fluid was dirty as well. Who cares?! Was quoted $4400 for the work I took it in for. Got the same job completed at a local Ford dealer for $2117.32, plus they went through the same comments as the $221 AG overview for free! Bottom line; Very professional but way over-priced.

AG Diesel did work on my vehicle that I DID NOT authorize (and they have above average pricing) -- in fact, they did work I specifically asked them not to do. They basically held my vehicle hostage until I came up with the money to get it out of their garage because "the technician couldn't stand to leave the work undone" they said I "couldn't just expect no one to get paid for the work that was already done" -- That was exactly what I expected -- They admitted to their mistake, but said there was nothing they could do but give me a "discount" -- on work I never gave them permission to do in the first place. The original problem that I had with my vehicle (the reason I brought it to them in the first place) still isn't fixed, I'm out thousands, and there's nothing they will do about it. I would say I learned a valuable lesson, but it's not as valuable as the cash I was forced to give them... More of a painful lesson, really.
