I love the atmosphere and all of the workers are incredibly nice!! The food is super fresh and it's all so amazing. My favorite dishes are the pork torta and crunchy chicken sandwiches. Super great value for the amount of food you get and its all so good for you which makes it even better

I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at Akey Brakey. I have taken now 4 cars on a religious basis for routine maintenance and major issues (enough to cause heart attacks) and they always and I do mean ALWAYS get the job done and with a more than fair price and ALWAYS go the extra mile and above and beyond. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service and Mom and Pop "family" feel shop. I am so appreciative of the entire team here and will continue to trust them with any vehicle and will always recommend their service. I could almost write an epic novel on how much I love this place and their service.

Realized that my registration had a SMOG check on it, and it was due 'tomorrow'. I called in a panic, and Michele answered the phone. She said to come right now, and I would be out the door in 30 minutes before my lunch break was over. They were busy. She took my info, and I took a seat in the air conditioned waiting room. Literally within 20 minutes, it was done, Accommodating and KIND and quick.... I HIGHLY recommend bringing your car to them for a SMOG. While I was there, I noticed that they do oil checks +, I will use them again !!! And will happily refer others !

So glad I discovered this place! They do excellent work! They are honest and really know what they are doing. Half the price of a dealer. I had my car serviced by them and thought of something minor I needed once I was leaving and they just fixed it for me without additional charge ( gluing something down). Really a class act business and I appreciate the extra care from Greg. Great business and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As an owner of multiple cars at once, Ranging from some being older high mileage to brand new high-end exotics. I have had a lot of opportunities to frequent Akey Brakey.
I started bc of the adds for cheap oil changes and smog checks and progressed since moving to the area around 2000. I always checked their quotes with 2 other people being convinced all repair people rip you off. Over time I have built trust reinforced by having dozens of friends that I have referred telling me that after they went there for a second opinion they were able to get the work done for less.
There services have expanded to tires and other stuff and I have mostly work with Gabor but recently a new guy serviced my Lexus and M3. Greg is the owner you can always ask him when you have concerns which I did before building trust in a new person. Greg is like the rest of the crew being nice laid back, straightforward.
When they can't help or it will be cheaper somewhere else they tell me.
I might be getting special treatment given our history, bc he will offer to take it to the other place for the services they don't perform, pick up and drop off my car from home or work since I'm in Westlake and work in Calabasas. I'll call on my way to and from work and they also will look at issues right away for free to see if it's something that can wait. They have replaced light bulbs, topped off fluids, filled air when I stop by for free without asking. Michelle at the front desk even leaves little toys with a note for my 8year old in the car when I pick it up after hours.
Probably the best people and place I have ever frequented as a customer, now that I think about writing this and given the length of service history, time & money spent or saved over the years.

My son left his car there more than a week ago for a $3,200 transmission to be picked up today. He left work early to get there to pick it up as he's moving this weekend. They closed early and although they were still there would NOT LET HIM PICK IT UP

Beware! They will charge you $30.00 to look at your car. They told me it was the wheel bearings on the passenger side. An estimation of over 600.00 was given to me. I went to another mechanic for a second opinion. Nothing was wrong with the bearings!!! The charge= 0!! My advice is don't go to Akey Brakey!! Shame on you!

Super easy smog check. I used one of their many available coupons and it cost about $42. Really easy in and out - I was there less than 30 minutes on a Saturday morning. Very nice and friendly place with free Wi-Fi and a few couches. Highly recommended!

I called at 11:51 am for an appointment - i was told they could fit me in right away. (I am right down the street from them) They scheduled me for 12:00. I arrived at 12:02, they took my car, smogged it, i paid for it and i was back in the office at 12:31 pm. Absolutely the best place for fastest service. I had a coupon off the internet, took it no problem! Customer service was great. I will be back again!!!

The worst place I ever came across. My step dad took his car for overheating problems. He is a senior citizen and the owner quoted $968 over the phone for repairs and didn't provide him with any documentation in writing. the cost was associated with replacing the radiator, hoses, thermostat and serpentine belt. The serp belt wasn't remotely related to the overheating problem. The labor was quoted at $548 and the remainder was for the parts.
The local auto store quoted $198 for all the parts including serp belt. This guy is a Rip off and a lot of customers go here. Shame on scammers like this. No idea what type of service he was providing for the overheating problem? The dodge dealer quoted $660 for the same repair and 2 other local mechanics quoted $380 AND $350 for the same repair.
After we declined them to service cars he charged $75 which was more than the original estimate of $48.50 for inspection. He claimed he worked on the car. No bolts had come off the car and nothing was done.
He simply took advantage of a senior citizen which is a crime (elderly Abuse)I will take action to have authorities investigate these guys immediately.

My friends took the car in to get smogged, since we had an attractive "coupon" deal. These people knew the Smog check would fail, seeing as the engine light was on (something they told me later over the phone "engine light means auto fail!"in a very debasing tone. I have to admit my ignorance on this part, that we did not do our pre-research nor realize that engine light obviously means auto-fail. So we were dumb in that sense...) Anyway, if they know this, they should not even bother "testing". Still, they still proceeded to 'test' it and charged the fee. An HONEST mechanic would have said "you would auto fail the smog test due to engine light' and save us the cost of getting it 'tested' and instead give opinion/help on how best to proceed in order to pass the smog test. Then when I asked for them to re-set the engine (something another local mechanic Agoura Car Care Tire Pro did for FREE for me months ago when I went to get something checked), they wanted to charge extra 30 dollars. Don't go there. They are dishonest. Advice to you Akey Brakey: Focus on good customer service, building trust, and making people feel cared for , not taken advantage of. Then you will see returning customers, and possible a customer for life. People like you make me lose faith in humanity. Boo. You guys suck.

I came in with a clogged air conditioning tube in my 2008 Yaris, which was causing my car to leak water and make a sound like a rain stick when I made a left turn.
Since my car is still under warranty, I called the Toyota Dealership and they said they'd charge me a $125 diagnostic fee plus labor. When I told them that I knew what the problem was, they condescended me and implied I couldn't possible know what was wrong with my own car.
I called up Akey Breaky, described the symptoms and the said that it's a clogged tube and I could swing by and get it fixed for 45 dollars.
I swung by, and was in and out in 20 minutes! These guys are awesome!

Tried them out for the first time the other day. On the recommendation of a friend, i brought my F350 in for a smog check/renewal. Not only were they cheaper than the place I have been using (we have a lot of cars), they were fast and most of all, very pleasant. Nice folks. Clean shop. Fast quality service. What else can you ask for?

I'll admit it-- I'm suspicious of mechanics and anyone else who can charge me a lot of money, telling me that they are fixing things I don't understand. So, to me, little acts of honesty go a long way. My wife and I have countless examples of little and big acts of honesty that have given me complete faith that Akey Brakey will actually look out for our best interests. Things like offering us coupons for discounts we didn't even know existed, or telling us that we didn't need to have them do some work we thought we needed. We first started taking our cars there when we lived close by. We've moved further away, but we will always make the extra drive to bring our cars in here, and we will confidently recommend them to anyone.
(But I also have to admit that, as a teacher, I really have to struggle hard not to try to deduct points for spelling: Akey!)

Has the same GREAT service, HONEST mechanics & REASONABLE prices but with BETTER new location right off of Cheseboro with a much more COMFORTABLE waiting room. I've been here multiple times and I have always had a great experience. I am very hesitant to take my car to repair shops because staff often try to up sell and overcharge for services I don't even need. The staff at akey brakey have always been honest, friendly, and reasonably priced. I will continue coming back even though I have moved out of town!
