Great people Great Work

Took my car to someone else and got an estimate of $1200 to fix my air conditioning and a list of things wrong. These guys did it for almost 1/2 the price and said the other items were fine. Very honest and great work. Owner is on site all the time.

I just got 2 new tires on the front, and I wanted to get an alignment. I saw this place only charged 39.99 . I was afraid it would be a low quality job but that was not the case. This shop did as well as the last place I used at half the price. The people there are nice to do business with and I will use them in the future.

When My car wouldn't start, I had it towed here after seeing the reviews online. I completely made the right choice! Not only did my car get fixed for a very low price, but they stayed open late to finish working on my car. They made sure I was comfortable waiting in the office and came out periodically to advise me how things were going. They also give suggestions for future work, and aren't pushy or trying to upsell items you don't really need.

Very clean store with great service. The owner was knowledgable and fair. I would not have been able to afford my repair if not for their "No Credit Check" in-house financing program. They didn't even ask me for my social security number to get me approved, all I needed was a job and a checking account! Was truly a life saver!

Last weekend, my wife and my daughter's family drove from LA to Las Vegas in our 2009 Sienna. When they were close to Las Vegas, two warning lights came on and the car began to lose power (pressing on the gas did not help much). They hobbled along and looked up online for a auto shop with good reviews. They found and went to Busy Buggy Car Care for a diagnosis. My wife told me that the mechanics all seemed very seasoned and friendly. After running though the diagnostic tests, they described the test results to my wife and said they had reset the lights and printed out the suggested fixes and cost. They said if the lights don't come on again, she can wait until she gets back home and get it fixed. My wife asked him how much she owes him for doing all this, she was surprised to hear him say "No charge". How refreshing it is to hear about great auto repairs services that doesn't scalp out of town, clueless (auto-wise) and helpless travelers! I've already recommended this repair shop to our friends living in Las Vegas.

Decided to check out this shop based on other's reviews and was not disappointed! I went in as a walk-in for an oil change and although they were very busy, I was met with courteous service and was out within 20 minutes. Thank you!

Ted Wiens told me they could could not do anything about my stripped oil drain plug because they close at 5, even though I got there at a quarter after 4. So I drove 500 feet to Busy Buggie and they got it off and changed my oil in less than 30 minutes for a dollar cheaper thab turd wieners. Very friendly staff and they give you free snacks, 5 stars will return.

I recently came here to get my Coilover system checked on. Looked up on Yelp finding the closest mechanic that has the ability to solve the problem with my vehicle. Met the owner his name is Yoshi, very nice guy and honest about the issue he encountered. He wasn't able to fix it but he checked it out without no charge which is very nice of him to do. He told me to contact the company and ask personally what the issue with the coils.
Yoshi also did tell me to come right back again once I have the answer to why he couldn't get it done. Overall my experience here was satisfied and ease of mind when I came here. They are a great company and trustworthy for you. I will recommend to people that need to get their car fixed here !

I had a non-emergency issue with my car and after seeing all the great reviews about this place I decided to give it a try. Bad impression right away when I called and the owner doesn't say "Hello, Samurai Motors" or something similar. He simply says "Hello." Dude, you have to identify your business when you answer the phone. Don't make your customers ask if you're Samurai Motors. But I stayed the course with him and explained the problem. He'll need to order a part. OK. But then the next odd thing happens. He says he needs the VIN to order the part. I have never had to give that info out before simply to order a part for my car. Just make, model and year (and engine size if required). It was a pain for me to go to my car, get the registration and then text him the information.
This all occurred on the Thursday before the long 4th of July weekend. My appointment was scheduled for Tuesday the 5th of July. That would give him Friday and Saturday to get the part. Well Tuesday comes around and he said he wouldn't have the part until Thursday. Who's he getting his parts from? My car is a Kia. It's not a odd Hungarian brand of car unique to the USA. There are two Kia dealers here in town. They most likely had the part. Gut feeling is that he gets all his parts from some odd parts dealer and that caused the delay. So I simply told him to cancel the whole thing. I'll get the car fixed at another mechanic; one who can get parts in a timely manner.

I took my car in a few times for oil changes and general checkups. Each time was fast, efficient and friendly. The price for the oil change was great especially for the type of oil.
There was one time on a weekend where they were late in opening and a queue formed outside, but they handled the situation quite well.
The waiting/office area is cute and has some interesting chairs/benches.

Yoshi is a car whisperer. Seriously. This guy is magical. I couldn't imagine a more honest and talented mechanic. His prices are very reasonable and he seems like the kind of person who truly has a passion for what he does. From what I can tell he only works on Japanese vehicles but I've seen other cars in the lot too so maybe call and see what he can do. We've taken three different cars to him. A Toyota Camry, A Toyota 4runner (which Yoshi has brought back from the brink of death multiple times), and a Suzuki aerio ( which is a bitch cause they don't have many parts for it in the states). His office is also full of manga. All of its in Japanese but I think it's cute. Definitely go to him.

These guys are your go to mechanics! I highly recommend them. If you have a busy schedule, no problem. I would say they are pretty quick about getting your car back to you. It took about a week to get mine fixed and it literally looks like a brand new car considering the color of my car being pearl white. Thanks so much guys!

I really can't believe I found someone so trustworthy to work on my car after having failed multiple times at the car dealership I used to have my car serviced at.
At the dealership, they'd always shark me saying they fixed the problem but found another. I witnessed this happen to other people at that service center.
Not wanting to pay for a problem they were suppose to fix, I ended up finding Yoshi at Samurai Motor. All postive reviews led me here. This is my third time here. First he replaced my coolant complimentary. My car ended up heating up months later and it ended up my radiator was cracked. I ordered one, Yoshi and his team were able to install it for me after I tried to myself. 4 months later, no more over heating.
Today I called before 5pm and no answer for an oil change. Not wanting to bring it to someone else I was going to wait till the next day since they closed at 6pm. I get a call back from Yoshi and asked what I needed done. I didn't even leave a voice mail or call back number.
In less than 30 minutes Yoshi was able to change my oil and send me on my way. I admire Yoshi and his teams passion for customer service and genuine work. As long as I'm in Vegas I'll always come back to this place.
Thank you Yoshi and Team!

This guy is amazing. I was visiting from San Diego, my car broke down on a Sunday afternoon. Out of all the auto repairs in town, he was the only one that actually answered my call. When i explained the situation, he opened the shop just for me and fixed it as best as he could. Very honest and straightforward hard working person. Highly recommend him.

These guys are very professional! My wife and I only bring our vehicles here whenever we have a problem, or just need a check up. The owner and his wife are Japanese. But they speak english. That being said, I thought they would only work on Japanese cars. Well, I was wrong. I used to have a Mercedes Benz and they were able to do any work that needed to be done on that car. I currently have a Nissan Frontier, and. Of course, I bring my truck here.
Their professionalism, knowledge, price, consistency, and their speed of finishing their work is why my wife and I come here. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs to have any type of work done on their vehicle.

Yoshi is one of the most, if not the most reliable mechanic in the Las Vegas area. Rest assured he will take good care of your car at reasonable prices. I have found he is most knowledgeable with Japanese imports vs European cars, but that is not to say he cannot work on European cars. You are in good hands with Yoshi and team at Samurai Motors.

So far so good. My family and I were visiting Vegas from the Bay Area and as we started our way home on our recently purchased used Toyota Sienna, outlr car died. I mean DIED. Picture a family of 6 with 2 of the kids being 2 and 5, stranded 35 miles away from Vegas in a 110 degree heat by the side of the road with not a tree visible. I almost had a heart attack. The van died just when get got to the shoulder (thank God for this at least!), but too close to the freeway, therefore waaaay too dangerous to stay in it. We put blankets over a bush and put the kids under while we fought with our insurance to get a tow truck out. This insurance issue with Geico will be the subject of a different and much less pleasant review. 4 hours later, miraculously having escaped a heat stroke, and just minutes before I called Highway Patrol to at least bring me and the kids to a safe cool place, I finally found a long lost friend who happened to have moved to Vegas a year earlier. Right at the same time I found through Yelp (love you, Yelp) Samurai motors. I had to tell the insurance where to take the van, so I was panicking thinking that not any shop would take it in right away. Well, with 5 star reviews, Samurai motors delivered. I called twice and no one picked up the phone. Just as I was almost in tears trying to find another well reviewed car shop. A gal from Samurai called saying they saw two missed calls (they were busy) and were calking me back. Wow, Ive never heard this before, I had not even left them a voicemail. AWESOME. I explained the situation to her, she listened patiently and had me hold for less than 30 seconds and got right back saying to bring it in. Relief!!! Got their info to my insurance and got this rolling. Turns out my engine was dead, dead, dead with no chance for ressurrection. Darn! Samurai's owner, my husband said, is a REALLY nice Japanese young and smart guy who sounds like he really knows what he is doing. My husband was immediately put at ease, which did the same for me. This was priceless given the circumstances. He found a used motor with 80 something thousand miles and ordered it. My husband expressed concern about the possible added cost of the timing belt (due at that mileage), etc. But the owner said not to worry, that he knew what we had gone through and would check it out and install it for us for the same price. My husband totally loves this shop and wishes it was near our home in the Bay Area. Well, we will be sure to relay all this to our Las Vegas friends (special thanks to them for going all the way there to rescue us from that miserable spot and placing us in their well air contidioned home for a few hours) so they know this hidden gem is there. We ended up having to rent a one way rental SUV that same day (I had to be at work the next day), and it cost us a small fortune (almost $500 because we had 6 people and there seemed to only be an Infinity QX80 available in the whole town with such short notice - what in the world????). Hubs will have to fly down (added cost) to get the car back home in about 10 days. This 4 day vacation we had been so carefully budgeting for a while (we just adopted a special needs child from China and that cost us a fortune, so we had to be careful) turned out to be a huge unexpected expense. Samurai's price was very reasonable according to our mechanic in the Bay Area, so that's not his fault at all. Thank you, Samurai, for being a life saver. Can't wait to get our van back alive. Good things happen to good people like you.

Take your car to THESE GUYS!!! Awesome, and they have beat every other mechanic's price we've checked into. My husband had to have his A/C overhauled - they did it for us after shopping estimates.
They could have really gouged me Wednesday when I had no choice to shop an estimate. My battery was dying, the clock was ticking 'til my car would just die on the road, and I had two kids with me I didn't want to get stuck with.
They didn't take advantage of the situation (what was I going to do, tow my car to another mechanic?). They spent yesterday testing the whole car to find out why the new alternator wasn't working right and then replaced it. They only charged me for the new part and the standard labor allowance for changing the alternator. Plus they repaired some other plug where the wiring was failing at no charge. I know they could have charged more, but they didn't.

Took my daughter's car to Samurai Motors for an oil change. What a pleasant change from the high pressure B.S. you get from the quick oil change places! Yoshi was as fast as any jiffy type place and even checked the tire pressures. I like that he's a real mechanic, not just a lube jockey.
I am normally a DIY car guy, but I live in SoCal and my daughter is in Vegas, so Samurai is my go to place in LV!

I accidentally called before business hours, and he answered anyway--out of office--to learn what the problem was and to call me back as soon as he got in. Scheduled me for same day inspection of the car to diagnose the problem (it kept overheating!). Upon showing up for my appointment, I needed to wait a few minutes but it was WELL WORTH IT. He diagnosed my issue in just a few minutes, explained it to me, made some calls for parts, and quoted me a reasonable price on the spot. The part was coming in the next day, so I left my car and got a call by midday the next day saying everything was complete. The repair worked perfectly, and he ended up coming in under quote! MAN I love finding a good capable mechanic with speedy turnaround that I can trust!

Went in for a Air Compressor and new belt, they had it done very quickly. My only complaint which isn't a reason to give it 4 stars, is that the shop is BEHIND other stores / food shops so you'll be driving up and down the road before you realize you have to pull in and drive behind things.
Anyways, They got it done very quickly, after I left I noticed the air wasn't getting cold at all, so I called, went back, Yoshi the Owner took it apart, put it back together, gave it another shot, then drove the car for about 10 min and it was perfect. The air is freezing cold.

While traveling through Vegas, my car was behaving badly, I looked on yelp, Called Samurai Motors, Yoshi had me bring the car right in. I thought for sure something bad like the transmission was broke, turns out thermostat was over heating the transmission. He was so honest, pleasant, fast and courteous. Had me back on the road in a couple of hours. I am so grateful to have found Yoshi. I will probably have to drive to Vegas for repairs since I found someone trustworthy of my baby.

I have such high standards for service and it's rare to give away 5 stars to anyone in the service industry. I came to Samurai Motors to have them check my car before we drive to Yellowstone on vacation.
I've seen many mechanics, most in the San Francisco Bay Area, but Tsuyoshi-san (call him Yoshi? cool nickname) is the best in my 9 years of US residence. And that's not only because we share our native tongue, Japanese.
When he saw my MINI Cooper, he immediately said I was lucky to have the base model, as he recently saw multiple incidents that transmission went wrong with the S models of the same production generation, which costs like $8k. I thought his expertise was Japanese cars but apparently not!
It was within five minutes that he jacked up the car and spotted completely worn out brake pad and minor coolant leaks, and showed those problems to me. Phew! I mentioned that I was told to fix the suspension by the dealer, which I declined for a second opinion, but Yoshi bluntly said it's not necessary. His skill, confidence and honesty are all amazing.
While repairing, he discovered the thermo housing was also worn out and had to be replaced. Saying, "I don't know why the manufacturer use plastic material for this part." and only charged additional $25 for that. Also showed the old housing to me pointing where it went wrong.
After that, I even asked a dumb question - I had been feeling the gearshift was not smooth, and wanted to learn if it was normal. Right away, He drove around the block and said it was "normal pattern (can't translate exactly - "driving taste" if literally) observed for BMW production." There's nothing he can't answer!
Brake pad: 87.36
Brake roter: 78.85 * 2 = 157.70
Labor: 85 * 1.6 = 136
Thermostat: 46.44
Antifreeze&Coolant: 25.45
Labor: 85 * 1.6 = 136
Total: $614.62
Now I feel secure about the upcoming 1500 miles road trip. :)

Three most important people, your doctor, your dentist, and your car mechanic. You really need these people to know what they're doing, and to be honest. Tuyoshi-kun ( i may have misspelled) is your guy. I highly reccomend this little shop. A tip: don't bother asking "how much". For once, trust a small business owner that he will do a good job and you will get a good price without even haggling:)))

The main guy who runs this place Yoshi, knows his stuff when it comes to Japanese imports. His prices are always lower than any other shop. And he won't cheat you with anything you don't need.
I have brought him numerous Japanese imports to him all with high miles. As soon as I run into a problem in my car, I take it to him and he can diagnose the problem in an instant. He is spot on every single time.

Thanksgiving Eve, Honda Pilot is making scraping sound in rear tires. Called several auto repair shops found on Yelp. All were getting ready to close and would stay closed til Monday. Called Samurai, Yoshi says they close at 6 but to come on in. Takes me an hour to get there from Primm. Get there after 5 and they replace both rear brakes AND rotors for less than $300 in less than one hour. Saved the day and weekend!! Great job!!! Thanks

Went here for a first opinion, and ended up immediately getting service done here! The 5 star reviewers were on point: Yoshi and his team at Samurai are the best. Fast, friendly and professional service, very fair prices, and even on a domestic minivan (apparently the folks here are very versed in more than just imports)!
I felt they did their best to take care of my brake problems quickly, and Yoshi even gave me an amazing deal on the service. To boot, Aiko at the front desk really made me feel at home and answered all my questions, even calling parts suppliers about warranty questions I had.
All in all an excellent experience, worthy of five, and more, stars. Very highly recommended!

FIRST... Thanks Tony T for the great find.
Yoshi and the rest of the Samurai Motors crew are legit. I came here first because of something I saw in a local Japanese magazine and Tony T's review. In the magazine it said something like Yoshi was trained in Japan so of course specializing in Japanese cars, but I have seen bimmers here.
$50 for a synthetic oil change (ENEOS 5W-30). That is seriously cheap. Eneos is quality Japanese REAL synthetic oil that sells for something like $40 for 5 quarts on Amazon. My car uses 6 & 1/2 quarts, plus factoring in the filter, the hour of labor, and disposal its not worth my time or saving me any money doing it myself. I have not had any problems with a leak and my car runs fine. I've had a few oil changes now with great success and zero complaints.
Another time I had an issue with noise in my brake SM took a look and determine the other shop that did my pads put the clip incorrectly, fixed it and charged me nothing. Talk about honesty! The waiting room has tons of manga and (car) magazines (seriously tons, the bookshelf is about to break) for you to pass time.
The only con I suppose is that the English barrier. While Yoshi speaks and understands English, its typical foreigner English and interactions, but the quality work makes up for the small con.
Somewhere down the line I'm gonna need something major done (only because all cars require serious maintenance eventually) and I would not hesitate to take my car to Samurai Motors.

UPDATE - DEC 2015:
Never good when a car has to go into the shop, but when it does, this is the kind of place where you want it to go. Once again the team at Samurai Motors knocked the ball out of the park - from thoughtful and complete attention to all the issues I was having to making sure all were sorted, fixed and done in reasonable time and at reasonable cost. I know whenever I come here that they're not just going to do good work, they're going to do it without overcharging me (as wayyyyy too many repair shops do). The staff is friendly, ethical and responsive. Don't want problems with my car, but if they arise I know where I'll be going.
Talk about attention to detail and customer service! I was referred here by a friend who raved about this business. She said they were ethical, reasonably priced, did great work and were super nice. She was right on all counts.
Some examples:
On my first service time there, I knew I had a few hours to kill and so was going to head for the mall to run some errands. I asked Yoshi about getting a taxi to the mall, and instead he grabbed his keys and drove me there!
Due to a miscommunication the work took quite a bit longer than anticipated meaning I had to miss some meetings and the end of the work was rushed. As I drove back to the office and felt that there was a problem with the work, I called Yoshi. He came immediately to my office to pick up the car and return it to his shop to check the work and then brought it back to me ... and they'd washed it!
On my second service time there, I had to drop the car earlier than they were open. Yoshi met me at 8:30 to insure that I could get to work on time. I had arranged for a friend to come get me, but when I called to confirm the appointment, they told me that Yoshi actually was ready to drive me to work so I didn't have to get a ride! (I had already arranged a ride so didn't need him to but just the thought that he was ready to is awesome!).
They are very reasonably priced, are honest about what work must be done and what stuff can wait and I feel totally confident in the quality of the work.
All around, great folks.

Yoshi immediately makes you feel at ease and that your car is in good hands!!!
I came in to get my Honda checked out before making the drive back to Southern California. I was mainly concerned with an oil pan gasket leak that another mechanic had inspected at a different shop a few days earlier.I called around for parts and labor, and almost all of the auto shops I called (including a local Pep Boys) wanted to charge around $220...that's too much for a recent graduate such as myself! I'm looking for something fair and honest and I read through comments that Yoshi is fair, so I decided to give him a chance.
I didn't know what to expect since I'm not from the Las Vegas area, but I'm so glad I came to see Yoshi!!! He tended to my car right away and told me his recommendations. Yoshi did an inspection on my fluid levels, battery and anything else that a car might need in preparation for a long drive. I could tell he was being very honest and direct with me, which I totally appreciated :) The fact that he didn't charge me a dime for his time really says a lot about him and the high quality of work that he does. I should have tipped him though!!
I feel more confident now that I will be able to drive back to Southern California with no problems. Sure my car needs some work on it, but just getting to my destination (about 350 miles) should be no problem based on Yoshi's diagnosis of my car. I like that Yoshi was very honest and sincere.
Thank you, fellow yelpers for recommending Yoshi! I will be returning for an oil change in the future and any future car needs!!

Yoshi does great work. They are one of the few shops that will work with parts you purchase and not jack up their labor rates. They use Eneos oil and only charge $6.99 per quart. I won't go anywhere else.

Yoshi is an honest and excellent mechanic. When my engine light came on I went to a competitor who told me I would need a new engine. I was about to sell the car for scrap and ran across Samurai motors. Yoshi looked at it and said my spark plugs were bad. $380 and a tune up in 2 hours, car runs great. He's my new mechanic for everything.

Word of mouth! That is the secret to finding this honest and competent mechanic. I brought my car here for a second opinion on some recommended repairs that another shop wanted me to do. And after looking under the hood, the recommended repairs was just the routine minor service plus replacing the hoses (reasonable given the age of the vehicle). The cost of repair was reasonable, and the overall bill was hundreds less than what the competitor wanted me to pay.
This shop may not be well known on Yelp, but the 3-4 times that I have been here over the past year, the place is always busy. Most of the customers are Japanese, as the mechanic is from Japan, and really knows his Japanese cars.
Honesty, reasonable quotes and competent mechanic skills are reasons why you should check out this mechanic.

I thought my trip to Vegas would be cut short when the brake lights on my 1992 Acura Legend quit working, and the car refused to shift out of park. These guys replaced the brake light switch in less than 20 minutes, and I was able to finish my vacation without worries. I now feel confident in my car's ability to make it home safely to Phoenix with functioning brake lights. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My clutch took a dump as I got into Vegas Friday nite. Every shop I called said they couldn't fix my car till after the weekend. I had to get back home by Sunday. Found this shop on yelp w great reviews and what a relief when I talked to Yoshi he assured me I'd get my car back to get home to LA in time. I couldn't be happier giving such a review. He arranged for my ride back to the hotel after drop off and called me after hours to inform me the car was ready. Turns out he worked way after hours to get the car fixed. Thank you Yoshi you saved the day

They are great. Incredibly helpful and honest.
I first took my car to autozone after my check engine light went on. They told me that it was the catalytic converter but couldnt pinpoint the problem so they suggested I fix a number of things. I took my car to Samurai Motors and Yoshi was able to tell me exactly what it needed. He was so helpful and kind. I recommend this place to anybody with any car. I will be coming back here for all my car needs.

My hubby had issues with his Lexus, and had been shopping around for weeks trying to find a respectable shop that knew their stuff and wouldn't completely break the bank. When he finally ended up finding a shop, it turned out that they did not do any work on after market cars, so they recommended we see Yoshi.
Let me just say, Yoshi is awesome!! He MUST be the MOST HONEST mechanic I have ever met!
He will tell you exactly what you need, shop around to get you the best possible and fair prices for parts, and get the job done.
No hidden fees, or we should check this, this and that etc.
He ended up telling us we didn't need half the stuff we were told we needed, and while working on the car Yoshi even ended up discovering something that the Lexus did need, notified us right away, and fixed it for no additional charge in labor.
If my car ever has issues, this is where I am going!!!!

We are in Vegas for the Labor Day weekend and our honda odessey's automatic sliding door fell off the hinge! Luckily, samurai auto repair is open and we head over there. Yoshi helps us immediately and tells us only Honda can really repair it but held able to secure the door correctly so we can safely drive back to Los Angeles. Once he's done, we ask how much for his time to repair it and he just waves is away and wishes is safe travels home! What a genuinely nice guy. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend him to my family and friends!!

Checked out this place based on the other reviews.
Called at 11:30 am Tue to see about changing a Headlamp on my car.
Also noticed that the Oil/Filter light needed to be addressed.
I asked if I could set up an appointment for 1:30 pm.
I got there a few minutes late.
Owner was working underneath a car and came out to greet me.
Checked out the type of headlamp I had to see if he had one in stock.
Fortunately for me, he did (or he could have gotten one quickly from parts supplier).
I had previously paid much more for my last headlamp. Well over $100 at
off brand repair shop.
I got this one installed and in for $40.
Oil and Filter change $60.
I was in and out in 70 minutes.
Way to go Tsuyoshi!
Can go back to enjoying my Vegas nights now.
See you again for next service!
Definitely, I recommend this place!

I recommend him to everyone i come across if they have any questions about auto mechanics in vegas. His name is the 1st one i drop. Arigato Yoshi-san & Samurai Motors!

I must admit that I was hesitant at first since I have a bmw m3 and not a Japanese car. I had a problem with my oil drain plug being stripped and other bmw shops wanted $1600 or more to replace the entire oil pan, and how potentially taking out the plug would take hours since it was stripped. Yoshi saw the problem and took it out in 10 mins, rethread it and with a new bolt in total of 30 mins. 30 mins of labor was what he charged plus an oil change.
Very knowledgable and I will bring all of my cars there. Thanks again.

My boyfriend and I drove to Vegas from San Francisco for a conference, and we knew there was something wrong with the radiator/water pump. We were hoping not to have to spend an extra few days ($$$) waiting for someone to fix it over the weekend. We brought it to Yoshi on Friday morning, grabbed lunch and a movie, and by 5pm our car was purring smoothly. Yoshi was fast, sweet, amazing, and did incredible work. We drove our car out of his shop and all the way to San Francisco, thanking our stars that we found Yoshi, and even that our car pooped out when it did. It would have cost 30% more if we had done it at home. We just hope whenever we need work done again we're in Vegas! THANKS YOSHI!!!!

Was referred by a buddy of mine. I had originally taken my car to the Mazda stealership in Henderson where a free inspection turned to "You have this and that wrong." I was a little skeptical to their results as I had done research before through forums and saw one of the scam gimmies that they employ on the invoice. Needless to say I didn't get anything done there.
When I arrived at Samurai, I met Yoshi, and explained to him the "recommendations" they had given me at Mazda. He proceeded to inspect the car and told me I only needed an engine mount replaced and not any of the belts I was told needed replacing at Mazda. I saved money and didn't get taken. This dude is legit. He's a unicorn, honest mechanics do exist. And now he has a new customer for as long as I live in Vegas.
Big ups Samurai Motors!!!

They have saved me several times! They do great work at a great price! They also give me free advice when I work on my own cars. Then when I screw up, they are there to save me. I have been screwed by so many mechanics, but I am so glad that many of my friends recommended Samurai to me. Now I am a customer for LIFE!

I took my car there for front end work. A different shop had recommended work to fix the vibration at over a thousand dollars. I never write reviews but I felt the need to because it was the least I could do for this amazing place. I am from California and was leaving on a Sunday when my car wouldn't start. Not realizing how screwed I really was because EVERYWHERE was closed, I started to panic. I called his number and he technically was closed but said that he would wait for me and he did for about an hour. He told me what was wrong with it in about 2 minutes which coincided with my dads guess. He was more than willing to fix it then but he could only get the part from a store that was $100 more expensive and the quality was poor. We decided to book another night and wait till the next day. He offered to give us a ride to the hotel and did. When I went to pick up the car the next day there ended up being a huge problem, The fan flew off and seriously broke tons of things in my car. One might think that he messed with it and it was his fault, but the part he replaced was in the back and my car had been driving funny for a while and he showed me and explained why it happened which completely explained the problem I'd been having. I have a BMW and parts are expensive and all I wanted to do was cry. I had no choice but to get it all replaced and he worked on it all day (I know because I had to wait cuz we had nowhere to go). He did everything he could, searching junk yards for parts and do anything to bring the bill down. He said he gave me a discount and When I reviewed the bill later saw he only charged me for 3.8 hours of labor which was crazy because he spent so much time on it and waited around the day before and gave us the ride. I never trust ANY mechanic and think they are all scammers but he is the exception. I'm the idiot who drove my car when I knew something was wrong but assumed it would be fine.My only complaint about this place is the location, I wish he was in California so I could have a mechanic I trusted. I got really lucky that this didn't happen on the freeway because things could be so much worst!! Anyways, I would give him 10 stars if I could, don't miss out on a good thing, good mechanics are rare!

My wife's Mazda MPV minivan had some rough idling which got worse over a course of a week and then the dreaded check engine light came on. Though it was just the gas cap not tight enough. The RPMs are getting worse each day and decided to go to one of the Japanese car specialty repair shops but was told they were busy and won't be able to my wife's minivan until lunchtime and I was already there upon opening at 8am. Called Yoshi and was told to come to his shop at 10am and will take a look asap. Upon presenting him the codes that were pulled up for free at Autozone, he immediately proceeded to check the PCV hose and found that it was already almost melted and tried to remove the other part of it but since the space on the engine is narrow, he needed to take out the air intake flow hose and immediately called someone to order an OEM Mazda PCV hose since he is not able to replicate the hose due to different sizes from either ends of it. The PCV hose was delivered after about an hour or two then proceeded to replace it and showed me that the other end or part of the hose has a nickel sized hole in it and was creating a leak and affecting the O2 sensors in the process. Now the minivan drives just like almost brand new. The price I paid was very very reasonable and was expecting to pay so much more. It is a very good feeling to know that there are mechanics out there that have the passion for their profession and not out to rip people's wallets off just because they can. Will be coming in here from now on and at last found a mechanic I can trust.

I was referred here from a friend, great mechanic and great, honest guy! I am a college student and was worried about getting ripped off or duped since I don't know that much about cars. The mechanic here was very straight forward and told me to only get the work done that was absolutely necessary, and didn't try to rack up my bill, he made my repairs affordable! Thank you so much Samurai Motors, this is the only mechanic I will come to in Las Vegas!
