The owner is a great guy. Very clean shop. Great prices. I moved to vegas a year ago and was skeptic about finding a new mechanic I trust but these guys are great. Prices are so good I always have room to leave a tip for the mechanic. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Was in need of a smog check for renewing my car registration and found this place on Yelp!

Be sure to mention the check in prior to them starting the paperwork.
Get to sit in an AC building while they take care of everything. OH, and they're dog friendly :)) great service, I was in and out within 15 minutes. highly recommend.

Where to start. My boyfriend's car needed to be fixed. The alternator died, the air conditioning wasn't working, the alignment was off. It ended up dying before we could get into a shop.
We towed it to USA Auto because of all the great reviews. I read through a ton of them before we made our choice to go here. We heard they were fairly priced and had great service, plus they weren't that far from our apartment.
They tried to charge $1067.xx for the alternator, labor, a new battery, and radiator crack. They didn't even address the alignment yet. They wanted to charge over $250 for the alternator ALONE! I called autozone and found the same alternator for half that price. They wanted to charge $130 for the battery - Again, Walmart for the battery for less than half the price. So we decided to buy the alternator and have USA Auto put it in for us. They charged $190 just to put the alternator in.
Funny - once the alternator was in my boyfriend drove his car to Walmart - where guess what?! WE DIDN'T NEED A NEW BATTERY! They tested our battery and it was perfectly fine. Huh. So - with the new alternator in the air conditioner works great. We didn't need the alignment fixed it was a tire that had a bubble in it. Which we took to discount tire (where he had warranty on the tire) and guess what? The alignment is just fine!
So just so you know - if you don't know what's wrong with your car they will try and tell you that there are parts you need replaced that you most certainly don't, Besides being overpriced at that.
The only pro was that they (the gentlemen who worked there) were nice.

I am writing a complaint against USA Auto. I depend on yelp because i am not knowledgeable about auto shops. When i read USA auto's 5 star rating, it convinced me to have my car serviced with them. I went in for a simple oil change, but what i received was a nightmare!!!! After USA auto serviced my car, as i was driving home my check engine light came on. As i continued to drive i saw smoke coming from my hood, so i pulled over because i thought my car was on fire. I lifted my hood only to see oil splattered everywhere. I immediately towed my car to USA auto. I was ignored, treated like a naive girl , and they refused to help me because they said they were not responsible for my mis fortune. So my car was towed back home. I have been taking uber to and from work for the past month. I spent over $500 on uber for the past month . tried to contact the owner and the front desk guy said he is not allowed to give me his number so i called the other USA auto location and they had no problem giving me his number..something shady going on right??.. Well finally got a hold of "John Summers" he towed my car back to the shop and said it was the oil since i purchased my oil separately from auto zone. He wanted me to contact a billion dollar company Castrol which i highly doubt it was them. USA auto hires a bunch of unprofessional guys who have no knowledge about Cars. So my car had been sitting at the shop for over a month. It took me 2 weeks to get a hold of the owner again and he wanted me to sign a paper before he would tow my car back to the house.. Which i refused to sign!!! When me and my bf went in to give the address on where to tow the car. The two guys (front desk and Juan)were laughing. As you can see in the camera when we walked in.. This place is a mess and i will never recommend anyone to come here. Please save the headache and pay a little more and go somewhere professional. USA auto is run by the same person from purfect auto. They just changed the name so they can get more business. I am at ends with being inconvinced and paying for a problem that i did not create!!

I was dreading taking my car in I knew it was going to a huge pain...wow was I wrong these guys were quick...efficient and very friendly and professional .made the process completely painless! The labor was reasonable parts a bit on the high side but when I winced at the estimate they Bent over backwards to bring it down to something I could afford...even Gave me a ride home and back to shop when car was ready....she runs great now! Like new.....itemized reciept .it wasn't cheap but it was AFFORDABLE and IT WAS DONE RIGHT....fantastic service he even threw in a free smog test what more could you ask I love you guys

I found this place online as I thought I just needed an a/c tune up. They were very nice when I got there and I explained to them I am new to Las Vegas and I am looking for a shop to have a relationship with to take my car for everything. I was very lucky I had come to this shop as I was having radiator, battery, and my a/c kit was completely blown. They let me see the parts before any decision making which I greatly appreciated. I came in for a smog check today and had a very poor experience.
Whenever I see a sign on the wall soliciting Yelp reviews it just makes me skeptical from go.
The guy at the counter was friendly enough and I was under the impression that my whole visit could not be easier. I have a late model car with no issues, I am just stopping by for the certificate and in the event that their service is good, I will return.
30 minutes later I check on my car and see the hood up, my glove compartment on the floor with everything dumped out, all my filters out and a guy with a clipboard going down a list of potential "upsells".
I tell him I did not want an inspection, I am just here to get a smog check. But of course, how stupid of me, since apparently I signed off on the receipt which clearly shows a vehicle inspection. The mechanic goes on to tell me that since they are a complete auto shop the DMV requires it which he then backtracks a bit and tells me I can decline the inspection.
At the counter earlier the nice guy who checked me in had asked if I wanted a brake inspection and I declined. But of course, in line with almost every experience I have had with auto shops in this town, make sure to read the FINE PRINT because you know they will do everything to sneak something by you.
So while I started with a receipt that shows me getting a vehicle inspection, I now have a modified receipt which shows I declined it from the start.
Despite this experience I would not have written this review if not for the fact that the guy who had been working on my car walks into the reception area and slams my keys down on the counter clearly upset. Apparently his good humor hinged on me buying a new cabin filter.
After reading some of the other negative reviews I plan to have a comprehensive inspection done just to make sure they didn't "accidentally" wack something out of place.
This auto shop is just one more example of a business that only treats you well when the experience is on their own terms. Woe to those who come bearing coupons and a small budget.

This review is for a smog check I did earlier this week. It was pretty much the best smog check experience one could ever have! We stumbled upon USA Auto Service completely accidentally and I'm so glad we did. What got us was the advertised price of $11.99, definitely one of the cheapest prices you can get. Of course the Vegas heat is in full swing so we were dreading sitting around for potentially half an hour or more while it got done. Not this place! We asked a worker outside about a smog check, he directed us to park and said there were two cars ahead of us and to have a seat inside. There is a TV, water and coffee available, and it is very clean in the waiting area. We waited no more than ten minutes before we were called up to pay - literally $11.99, not a penny more - and at the same time the worker from outside came in and said "Perfect, I just finished their car!" So I signed the acknowledgement, got my smog check receipt and we were out of there! The man who rang us up was super nice and informative as well, and gave us pointers on future oil changes after I asked about what oil type our car really needed (we've gotten the runaround about it from other places.) If all of their services are this quick, easy, and well priced, we will definitely be back for any future service needs!

Looking for a good cheap place for a smog inspection and landed on this place because of their good reviews. Smog inspection was fast and only cost $11, but if you check in on Yelp you get a discounted rate of $7.77! But they're also a full service shop with certified ASE mechanics. I always go to USA Auto Service for my smog checks and oil changes. While I usually go to the location on Ft. Apache/Trop, since I was on this side of town I decided to give them a try. I was quite impressed. Smaller shops are usually lacking in the waiting lounge amenities, but wow, this place has a 50" TV, coffee, and even Winchell's donuts! The representative was courteous from the time I arrived until the service was complete. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Thanks!

I went in for an Oil change and tire rotation. All was great right until I discovered that one of the rims on my (less than a year old) car was damaged. I mean the whole mid section had deep scratches, it even looked cross hatched. My theory is during the tire rotation the mechanic dropped the tire. That was on October 8th.
When I asked about the damage a list of unacceptable events and crude customer service happened.
1. I asked about the damage and inspection was done.
2. The inspection questioned my integrity and whether I was lying about the issue.
3. They questioned my intelligence, did I hit a wall? They argued with me as if I wouldn't have noticed that. That may have been a good theory but only the mid section of the rim was damaged but not any other part of the car, so if I hit a wall, wouldn't it make sens that I would have some damage to the actual car.
4. After the inspection, They promised to review cameras and would get back to me.
5. A week and a few phone calls later, I haven't heard a thing.
6. Finally was told to send them pictures of the damage to a specific phone number so they can further investigate. I did.
7. I yet to hear anything or talk to someone else besides the clerk. Today is October 28th, that's 20 days of waiting on who know what. Does it really take that long to look at cameras?
I love my car, it's nicer than my home and I spend more time in it too. I baby this thing, it's one of the only nice things I have and I don't fully own it. I'm like most people, I'm making payments. So any damage done to it, I take serious.
Now, I'm not asking USA Auto for money, I just want them to review the cameras and IF they are at fault to take care of the damage. That's it.
*** But seeing as its taking this long to do anything only indicates that YES, they have reviewed cameras, and that they know they are at fault. They simply don't want to take ownership of the issue. They probably deleted the evidence by now.

I hate this time of year. Smog check season. I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Montereo that I love and I want to keep on the road. I saw their sign of $7.77 smog check thought it was a great deal because I usually pay $20 at the little hut by the gas station. I decided to go to USA auto because of the great deal and I didn't have to print anything. When I got there the staff was nice and friendly. They did the smog check and of course it did not pass. I know it's an older car with close to 180k in miles so I know it's gonna take some cash to keep it running. The mechanics took a look at it and they said I needed a new oxygen sensor. Not the end of the world. So they installed it and I drove around for a while. Came back and I passed smog! So happy I can hold on to this gem for another year. Go USA!!!!

Wish i could say to never go to this shop. They were asked to do three things; replace fuel tank, in the process of installing it they broke a cupler and a seal for the fuel filler neck, manifold gasket needs to be replaced because they replaced it but autozone said that its still the problem, and then the oil pan (which is the only thing that they did right). This was a year ago but we had problems with our car since. We finally got the extra money to work on it and fix these problems that were supposed to be fix from this shop!

These guys are probably the best mechanics I've gone to for auto service. Our issues started with my boyfriend's car, and the list of problems was definitely not small. Well, these guys not only diagnosed the specifics of what was wrong with the car with as much detail as possible (explaining it to us all along the way so we knew what was going on), they were more than willing to work with us payment-wise. They provided a total, we told them how much we could afford, and they fixed what that much would cover and saved the great pricing for us to come back later and finish the job.
Then as they were working on finishing up my boyfriend's car, my car started acting up, so they took a look and told me what I needed to get it fixed. I ran to AutoZone, purchased the part, and brought both back for them to work on then and there. We weren't waiting long at all and ever since I have noticed no issues with either car.
USA Auto Service has provided nothing less than a great and stress-free experience for us. I highly recommend them if you're looking for great pricing and high quality service.

Following my last oil change at USA auto...
A couple days after my home owners association left a note telling me to clean the oil on my drive way or I'd be fined.
I look on my driveway an what do you know.. There's a bunch of oil under where I park my car!!
Before this my car didn't leak any thing..
So I look under my hood an oil is all over the engine, it's a big mess. Seeing this I decide to take it back to usa auto to have them explain what the problem is.
I check my car in and I'm waiting over an HOUR. They tell me the person who worked on my car prior to them broke a vent tube leading from the valve cover and they jury rigged it.. So now the vent is blocked with a bolt instead of the tube being connected to let air pass through. Now oil spills out of the dipstick.
Funny.. I've had the car 2 months with no issues, under the car was dry with no so sign of leaking an the engine bay was clean prior to these guys changing my oil.
They bring me out to the garage to show me the problem and explain they can give it a temporary fix or if I want to pay for them to fully fix it they will.
Needless to say I took my car away and I'm having my buddies car shop in north Vegas fix it. Not convenient.. But why would I have these guys work on my car if they broke shit on it already?
This shop is very shady from my experience.

Really like this mechanic shop a lot! My family and I been here much more frequently than we would have liked, but fortunately the guys at this shop have always steered us in the right direction. Just recently my sister needed work done on her car and what would have been way too expensive was manageable because they gave us a pretty good deal on the parts and work (The few other times I came here, they did the same). Of course they have to make money themselves so it's not gonna be dirt cheap but compared to many other shops I've gone to, they have the best prices and are honest and customer oriented. For basic work like smog or oil change, this place is great to get maintenance work done really cheaply. For more intensive work, get a quote from this place and see what happens.

Its been awhile since i re-reviewed this place. I have brought my VW Jetta here before an always a good job. This time brought my moms car a '03 Toyota Camery. She's taken to the dearlership to have work done an was very expensive of course. Oil change an breaks needed done an a axel was broken. So over all it would alot of work an extemely costly at the Toyota place. Suggested about taking the car to USA Auto Service since i take my jetta for major repairs. Giovanni was friendly an helpful an Jay was awesome. Jay gave me a great price an a discount on a synthetic oil. Over all it was around $460. Moms very happy an so I am as well. Again I recommed going here for repairs.

Awful experience. I was in vegas for a wedding, drove in from LA, when my Prius broke down. The "front man" of USA Auto assured me he knew how to handle Priuses and not to worry. I immediately felt like he was working manipulative charm. He tried to scare me right up front that I would need a $6000 new distributor. He convinced me to pay $50 and then $300 next day to bring in his "Prius specialist". I was under time pressure to get to a wedding and then drive back the next day but agreed. I called repeatedly the next day for an update and only got vague things like "Good news. We don't know what it is yet but we think it's not going to cost that much. We're still running tests." By late afternoon it was clear they had no idea what they were doing. I got a tow truck and got the car the f out of there. I took it to the dealer, who promptly discovered there was diesel in my gas tank (!!!), and I was out the door in a matter of hours. I have a suspicion I simply had a bad battery, and that USA Auto actually put diesel in my gas tank to mess with me after things turned sour...but no way to verify. Also they made a big deal about retaping the electrical wires coming from my 12V battery, like they were big heroes or something....completely pointless. The tow truck driver we got a ride with just laughed at their amateur-hour manipulation games and shook his head.
At best, these guys are extremely sketchy and bad at their job. At worst, they actually sabotaged my car!

Alright. Total, I've had my transmission flushed, oil changed, radiator flushed, brakes, pads and calipers replaced, and front ball joints on my drivers side replaced. I don't know if the employees and management have changed, or what, but I saw none of the behavior or problems that the negative, one star reviews mentioned. Great customer service, the mechanics actually walked me out into the garage to show me every bad part. To me, most honest thing a mechanic has ever/could ever do. So I don't know what these negative reviews are talking about. (Nor is most of what they are saying comprehensible so...)
After all this work done, my car feels better then it ever has. Dillan (Dunno if that's how to spell it) was the kid working on my car. So props to his work. They have competitive prices, and from what I could see while I was watching them work they are thorough. I'll continue bringing my vehicle here. Next I gotta get my battery cables replaced.
Note: I'm giving 4 out of 5 because of one small thing. When I was shown how bad my ball joints were during my brake job, the guy showing me (pretty sure he's not a mechanic) gave me an off-the-top-of-his-head estimate that was MUCH higher then it should have been. After talking with the mechanic dillan, and the girl that works the counter there a few days later, I found out it was a much more ideal price to get it done. Sooo...lesson learned, get the quote done AT the computer. Not a big deal really. These guys are great.

After calling and going to millions of auto repair shops that was over pricing me $1400 or more just to replace motor mounts for my vehicle was becoming very stressful ..thank god I found USA auto! They were extremely nice and was willing to work with me the best they could! I could have not been more thankful! My car was well taken care of and fixed for a price that was very reasonable not only that but they went the extra mile to get my car done in a timely matter ! Thanks USA! You guys were awesome!

Came in for a smog check which by the way is $7.77 when you check in on yelp and Mark was fantastic! After my smog check he also showed me how my fluids were good and gave me recommendations on future maintenance needs for my car. Nothing pushy at all. Great service and I'll definitely be back for my oil changes here.

Look who's back?!?!?!?! Lol...Yesterday I made a review about one of the most tramatic experience I have ever had in my life!!! After I left the auto shop in disgust,vowing to never return again,not even 5 mins after I parked my car at home,I get a call from John,the owner of USA Auto Service,inquiring about the lackluster service I recieved at his place of business! I was shocked to hear from anyone there again considering the service I had just recieved,but John wanted to get a clear cut understanding about what happened! First and foremost,he is one of the most SINCERE,caring individuals I have ever got the pleasure of speaking with! He asked me to give him full details,& promised to reach out to my by the end of the day with some type of solution we could both live with. Living up to his promise,I recieved a call from John by the end of the day asking me to stop by the shop tomorrow so we can talk about my experience! Not only did he walk to my vehicle and greet me with open arms and a smile,he invited me into his office to educate me on how parts and auto service shops work when it comes to repairs and things of that nature! He then walked me out to my car,& had the lead mechanic (Hey George ) show me every single part they put on my car! As if that wasnt enough,he offered me a partial refund for the misunderstanding in hopes that I will return again! Mr. John,you are an incredible human being,& im sure a pleasure to work for! The world needs more bosses like you! Thank you for going above and beyond to show me how much you believe in your work family as well as your clients! I thank you for everything and I will NEVER go anywhere else to get my car worked on but here! USA AUTO SERVICE HAS RECLAIMED THE TOP SPOT IN MY HEART! Thank you again!

So I drove my Volvo to vegas last May and when I got there my battery died at the restaurant. So I saw this shop by it at first they were helpful to jump start my car but the battery needed to be replaced since it won't charge. My car is 11 years old but only has 30k miles and was pampered and maintained by volvo dealers only. Now these guys were saying oh it's my alternator that it needs to be replaced and something was wrong with my starter. In our heads we were thinking no f'ing way that could happen and we know how to work on cars too. We told them just to change the battery. Now all of a sudden they said they don't sell batteries and bullshit saying good luck making it way back to LA. Anyway to make this story short we got a battery and 3 months later my car is still running. Locals and visitors beware if you need your car serviced don't listen to this shops bullshit. To try and make you spend hundreds of dollars on things that isn't even broken in your car.

They just made my year! I went in for a smog check a little before closing to take advantage of their Yelp deal and was very impressed with their customer service! Very welcoming and inviting and nice waiting area. To top it all off they decided to give me a complimentary smog....I mean really! After the few weeks I've had its great to know that places like this still exist. I know I only came for a smog check but looks like they do it all and witnessed the great customer service as they greeted other customers!

Professional and thorough. Front desk service exceptional and personable. They gave me a few discounts without my asking for them. The service took a little longer than I had expected and again without my asking, they gave me a future oil change. I wasn't even upset because I was having a good time visiting with the front desk service person. Over all a very satisfying experience.

This place was very bad, Earlier this year I went for a simple oil change & they tried to kill my van.
I was showed how much oil was leaking out after the oil change & was told that the oil pan was old and the threads were stripped and a new one was needed and I would have to pay for it, I told them it was not doing this when I brought it in and they should pay for the oil pan. After some discussion I was escorted off the property by the manager and a mechanic and my van was parked in the lot leaking oil very badly. I then drove to the Firestone at the Boulevard mall and was properly told that USA Auto Service had stripped the bolt not the pan and very more simple less costly fix was done. USA Auto Repair, 1,striped the bolt for the oil pan. 2, did not take the time to diagnose what had been done wrong. 3, tried to charge for a more costly unneeded repair. 4, moved a customer's vehicle out of the shop with a potentiality damaging engine condition which it had not arrived in. This is true and I have the receipts to prove it.

These guys are awesome! Moved out here from San Diego about 2 years ago, had my 91 honda civic for a little over a year, and they have always taken good care of me. Very fair on prices and never try to push BS repairs on you. Ask for the manager Mark (the guy with the goofy glasses) and he'll take care of you.

First of all I rarely trust any auto mechanic and when I do it's because I've had multiple good experiences with the same shop. So far this is the case with the Ft Apache store. I've taken all three cars there, all older models, 2001 and two 2005's. Have had all three smogged there and and one for complete fluid changes. They never gave me the run around of needing this or that done. They told me the air filter was dirty and showed it to me. Said power steering fluid was burned and recommended I flush and replace. They offered an estimate if I wanted to come back to fix. What??? You mean everything won't fall apart if I don't do it NOW? For a meager fifty bucks do it now. Always friendly and professional. So why not five stars? I'm still evaluating them. They have to earn my trust. So far, so good. Going to take my 2005 Jeep in due to overheating. Let's see what they come up with then and I'll adjust up or down. I really want to find an honest shop and hope they don't disappoint.

Just visited this place a few days ago, nice management. However I brought in my own oil (MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC) you know those run about $9-$11 depending on where you purchase. brought 5 quarts to the shop when my vehicle only takes 4 quarts of oil 2010 Honda civic, long story shh short left thinking they put the other quart in the back seat or trunk as other shops do. NO not this shop they kept it. Came back a week later asked them and they could not give me an answer on to what had happened to the other quart. Dishonest mechanics will not visit this place any time rather have an honest mechanic where I know everything they say is true and honest.

Do not EVER go to this Shop!!!! WORST experience! I originally took my car here for a simple oil change, before my 3 mo. Mark even hit my car stopped on me and I found out it was completely out of oil. Which if they really put oil in it this should've never happened. So I took my car back to the shop And found out that my engine had blew out due to no oil being inside. Because the shop knew they were at fault the "owner" john offered us a "deal" originally they said they would put a new engine in for $1850 I was happy with that because I know how expensive a new engine can be. They originally said the job would take 2-3 days to complete, ok fine. We paid $700 first then we were told the entire job would be $2,200 then we gave another $1,100 it was not done that week. The "manager" rob said that they had to fix the bottom half & then hthe top half( but it's a new engine right). We spoke with the manager who informed us he would have the owner call us with details, a few moments later the manager called back stating that the owner was out of town for his daughters graduation. (Really)... Now it's creeping up to two months that this shop has had my car and keeps giving me the run around. The cops can't do anything so now I'm looking to sue in small claims court. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP!

Came in to get my brakes checked as I was hearing a grinding noise every time I braked. Well no surprise but of course it wasn't making the noise when I pulled in. Was greeted by Frankie at the front desk. Really nice and knowledgable. Told him my problem and they immediately got my car up on the rack. The girl at the counter, Melisa, got my info and asked if I wanted my tires rotated for free while it was up in the air. I said sure why not? Frankie came back in and grabbed me to show me what was going on. Told me I only needed rear pads and to have those rotors machined. Said my front brakes were fine. Whew! Big relief! Then Frankie tells me I can get a free oil change too if I download the shop's new app. Free oil change just for downloading an app?! Done! I go back into the lobby and Melisa helps me download the app. I check out the app and there's some other coupons on the app too. Nice to have for next time. Total time for my car was less than 2 hours and Frankie gave me an amazing deal. Can't complain about free tire rotation and oil change. Will be back again!
