I found this mechanic, David F Craig, via Craigslist and was lured in by his low prices but he has been absolutely terrible. It ended up costing me way more than his $55/hr rate to have another mechanic fix the mess he made of my vehicle. I had him replace an engine mount in my car and he has made many mistakes. He used an impact wrench where a hand wrench should have been used and this ruined a part of the mount (that I had to buy again). Again with the impact wrench, he over-torqued some bolts and now they cannot be safely unscrewed. And he installed a counterweight totally wrong. I took the car back to him to fix some of these mistakes, but I didn't know the full extent of the damage until I went to a more reputable shop. you get what you pay for, which is incompetence.

David was very helpful when my car broke down and had to tow it to his shop. He did a good job explaining what was needed and charged me a very reasonable rate. He completed the work on time and did a very good job. He is professional and courteous. I will recommend him.

I had the same problem as the other reviewer. Within a month of each other! This guy is learning on the job and your car will pay the price. Took my car in for a simple repair and left with 2 other much more sever things broken on my car after his work. Don't let the $50/hr labor charge fool you. You will regret using this craigslist mechanic.

His shop looks like a home garage and his yard is taken up by many cars in various states of disrepair. This should have clued me in, but I had him replace an engine mount in my car and he has made many mistakes. He used an impact wrench where a hand wrench should have been used and this ruined a part of the mount (that I had to buy again). Again with the impact wrench, he over-torqued some bolts and now they cannot be safely unscrewed. And he installed a counterweight totally wrong.
