This place is trash. Not sure if anyone has ever even "built" a transmission. Went in to have tranny fixed 2 months ago, problem returned recently, took truck back, waited a week, found they did nothing, as in truck just sat there. Worthless, no good workers anymore. DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOURE AN IDIOT WHO LIKES MORE PROBLEMS AND SPENDING MONEY. JUST GO TO A DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION SHOP!!!

What I liked: They got my old 93 4Runner's transmission back to shifting properly and did it for a very good price. Clint is very easy to talk to and willing to explain easily the work that was done. What I don't like: Their communication over the phone is not so great and wasn't even notified when my car was done and wasn't updated on progress of the repairs. I had to call them every time. After I got my vehicle back I went underneath just to take a look at everything and noticed some mounting bolts in the transmission were missing from an area that clearly needed to be a sealed connection. I was told I got a "full service" to the transmission and seeing this didn't make me very happy. Clint offered to fix the problem for free the next day so I dropped it off again for the whole day and again I got no calls on updates or questions for me. Got it back and the bolts are still missing... Nothing was done to it. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my description of what was needed but they still chose not to call me to figure out it the issue. Maybe third time will be a charm.

Two years ago, the guys at Mr. Transmission rebuilt our transmission (rather than replacing it with a refurbished one that would likely have the same problems as the broken one). This summer, we had some problems with it. Even though it was technically out of warranty, they took the whole thing apart and fixed the problem for us as a warranty repair. We were so grateful!!

UPDATE: The co-owner reached out to me today and sincerely apologized for this incident. I am changing my rating based on that and will consider giving them another chance to earn y business. I will not be taking my business to this place again. They advertise free towing on their website and they tried to stick me with a $180 tow bill. Clint, the salesman, said that he knew the extended warranty company I had, that they covered towing up to 50 miles, and that he knew the people that worked there and would take care of me. He got the truck towed to his shop from 48 miles away and did the repair and then said I owed the deductible plus the tow fee. Between the warranty company clearly stating on my policy they cover towing, and the advertisement on Mr Transmission's website for free towing with any major repair, this is not something I was responsible for. My transmission had to be replaced, I think that qualifies as a major repair. Clint was rude, unprofessional and called me a moron on the phone before hanging up on me. And not only to me, but also the warranty company. Then he tried to tell me he was just trying to help when I got to his shop and was standing in front of him. I do not do business with companies who try to take advantage of their customers and who do not have integrity.

Brought my 1995 GMC 4x4 to repair the 4L60E transmission knowing I would be driving it back from the east coast with a trailer soon afterward. The truck pulled the trailer back without a problem after 4,000 miles of total driving. I called a lot of shops before choosing which shop to trust and provide quality repairs at a fair price. I normally don't write reviews, but I thought it was only fair to reciprocate the time and attention they gave me.

After doing research online, it seemed my transmission needed a rebuild by the way it was behaving, which was similar to others of my model and year that actually needed rebuilt. Took my car here, they diagnosed it to have an extremely bad misfire. They could have easily said, "Yep, it needs a $3,500 rebuild." But instead, they told me the real issue at no cost, which ended up costing me $40 to fix myself. Very honest people. Easy 5 star review for me.

I needed a second opinion on my transmission and I had a tow truck drop my car off over the weekend. I received a prompt phone call with the bad news, Mr. Transmission confirmed the dealerships report. I wan't really ready to give up my 2007 but Mr. Transmission let me know that replacing it was not cost effective. No charge for the inspection, no pressure to repair, I feel I was treated honestly.

Mr. Transmission was horrible. I took my car in to get fixed and it was fixed within 2 days. Then, later i was driving my car and it was acting up AGAIN!!! I took it in to get fixed and they took days to tell me what the problem was and then they took even longer fix my car! I am thoroughly disappointed!!!
This company does not value customers time. I will not be taking my car here ever again! If I could I would give them a negative amount of stars!

I have now taken two cars to Mr. Transmission, and both times I found the service friendly, the repair prompt, and the estimate exact. When you have a major transmission problem...nothing is going to be quick and cheap. But if you want it done right, get it done here. And, they offer free towing! I wish I knew about that before...take my advice and take advantage of that service.

Great shop that really takes care of their customers. They rebuilt the transmission on my 2000 Honda Accord early in the fall of 2013. About a year later I noticed I was again having problems with the transmission slipping on accelerating and brought it back to them, and even though it was technically a month or two past the 1 year warranty they fixed it for free. A month later I noticed some more problems with hesitating on accelerating and brought it back, but this time it turned out to be the throttle position sensor, which they also replaced for free even though that's not actually part of the transmission. Mr. Transmission really stands by their work and I really appreciated their willingness to do all that extra work for free when my car developed more problems after the initial transmission repair. I highly recommend it.

What can I say terrible from top to bottom do not take your car here it is the worst place ever coming from someone who is in the business let me tell you what happens if you come here.
First of all you will get lied to on when your car will be done ie clint is driving your car right now then when I call back the next morning clint answers im going to drive it right now because I have not driven it yet . lol ok so there is a lie after being delayed day after day they let me pick up the car and its worse then when I dropped it off I call back and clint tells me word for word Sorry your car is a piece of SH** lol my car is a classic these idiots got over there heads and then tried to cover it up my car is worth more then he makes in a year and this is how they treat customers that's fine I paid and they screwed me.
PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM SCREW YOU TAKE IT ELSEWHERE SHOP AROUND THERE IS A TON OF PLACES THAT CAN FIX TRNSMISSIONS AND THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY DOES NOT DESERVE ANY MORE BUSINESS.

I brought my '98 Ford Contour to Clint after I had went to another shop, where I paid $100 for a diagnostic fee and was told to junk it, or go to Carmax. Nice advice, huh? Feeling so discouraged, I sought to family to help me find another place that wouldn't be so mindless to people who are in a really bad situation with a problem like this (transmission failure). I just bought the car in August and have the entire repair history (family car)! I wanted more opinions from trustworthy shops to see what would the best route be to handle this. I was certainly not entertained at the thought of financing. Mr Transmission was the last place I took my car to and here's why.
The guys at Mr Transmission, Clint and I believe it was Ray, are wonderful. They're very knowledgeable, honest and will cut straight to the root with you...more importantly, their repair, parts & labor costs are very reasonable also. Clint diagnosed my car for free in less than 30 minutes and happened to have a used transmission from the same car unclaimed by anyone else. Came from a guy whose engine blew and he didn't want to fix it. Only 66k miles on it! That was just the first part! I also needed my front rotors & brake pads replaced, and the shop next door to Mr Transmission is owned by their brother, and does mainly maintenance repairs (Clint's shop is for exactly what the name proclaims). Clint had them do my brakes & rotors, and give me an online coupon for it as well. I thought, how awesome is that, THEY (the shop guys) gave me the coupon! I didn't have any clue about it!
I dropped my car off Thursday morning and picked it up Friday afternoon when I was off work. A replaced transmission (with warranty at no add'l cost), new brakes & rotors all new trans fluid and the like, my total bill was $1,600 and some change. Clint is also a double-check kinda guy. He said to bring the car back in 7-10 days and he'll take it for a drive, check everything they did, fluids, etc... and make sure everything is going smoothly. Anything needing fixed because of their work, they'd do. I did just that, and everything is as it should be. I'm sure I can get another 3 maybe even 4 years out of the car. I am so grateful I found these guys, they definitely earn their 5 stars!
You want a trustworthy shop, go to Mr Transmission!
Thank you so much guys!

I cannot praise Mr. Transmission enough. I came to them with a 2007 Nissan Xterra that had "slipping" between 1st and 2nd gear. Being a female, I'm always apprehensive as you want to prevent yourself from being taken advantage of. I called the dealership and they quoted me $130 to do a diagnostic, and "around $6,000 if I need a new transmission." Then went straight to the "new transmission" comment. I shopped around and called Mr. Transmission.
First off, their complete diagnostic is free. No charge at all. I dropped the car off and could not have met nicer people. I came back 2 hours later and after running the diagnostics, and there were no error codes that were generated at all to give them an obvious clue of the problem. I was asked to bring the car back the next day so that the tests could be run when the car was cold, and so that they could look at it more extensively. I was feeling pretty down at the realization that there was probably some serious issue and I'd need a new transmission.
I brought the car back the next day and left it for 4hrs. When I returned, I was greeted with a smiling face and told that my car was all set to go. The belts were a little off and needed adjusting, which they had done. They had then test drove it to ensure that there were no problems after the adjustment. Overjoyed, I asked how much was due and was told "oh, there's really no charge for doing something such as adjusting the belts, so don't worry about it."
What can you say to that? No only did I not pay for the diagnostic, but work was obviously done finding out the problem, the problem was fixed and I didn't get a bill! That's unheard off. When I think about how easily I could have been taken advantage of (and a lot of auto places do lie and take advantage of you, as I've discovered when I've gone to other places for second opinions), it's pretty amazing.
Hands down, I recommend Mr. Transmission. I don't think I'd ever even consider going anywhere else if I (knock on wood) had further transmission issues. Nice, dependable, honest, trustworthy staff who obviously operate with integrity.

So, I bought a used car, three weeks later the Transmission totally goes out. So I made tones of calls to learn what it would cost, then someone recommended the Parker Mr. Transmission. I have to say, they took great care of me. First I saved $500-$800 off of what the other shops quoted, I hated to spend anything but spending less was great! Second I asked about upgraded aftermarket parts, no problem (actually my savings was after the upgraded parts). All in all they have been honest with me and I have loved the work I received.

I just started driving a manual again after several years and I had a load of questions. On a whim, I stopped in here to ask one. The guy behind the desk was really helpful, he even went out and sat in my Jeep... moving the gear shift around etc. to check it out. He had all kinds of helpful advice for me, and at no time did I feel like he was trying to "get my business". He genuinely just wanted to give me some help and advice. What a great place.

AWESOME!!! I trust these people. I brought a car in that was having some tranny issues and they quoted me in about a hour... turns out, it was a couple of solonoids and it would cost a grand total of $1,100 (Very reasonable considering the tranny) with upgraded parts. I couldn't believe how honest they were considering transmission shops are the places where scams are developed... who knows how to rebuild a tranny?... That's what I thought.
I think the reason they a 5-star rating is because I brought the car to them for a second opinion after taking it to some "A-Affordable Transmission Center" place who said my pump was bad and the torque converter needed to be replaced... and who knows what would pop up once he started rebuilding the tranny... I guess he thought I was an idiot... For starters, the pump does not have a diagnostic plug-in and the torque converter is not in the transmission... how come he never said anything about the solonoids? He quoted me $5,000 to fix the tranny plus the cost of replacement parts in the transmission.... my guess is that he would have tried to swindle me out of at least $6,500... not to mention the scare tactic he used on the girl I was with... he said,"If you drive out of here, I bet the car will not make it another 2 miles down the road before breaking down." HA, I made it to an honest repair shop, jokes on you buddy. BTW, this jackass never gave me a diagnostic print out sheet... This situation had SCAM written all over it.
$1,100 was a breath of fresh air. Thank you Mr. Transmission.
