Chey

This repair shop is so nice. I was sent over by The Auto Club. They are an Approved facility and that is important to me these days. I was greeted with A Smile from everybody and even asked if I wanted coffee. They also had fresh cookies on the table made by their daughter. I waited for my oil change which was done in a timely manner. I will be telling all my friends about this place for sure!!

I took my classic in for a broken harmonic balancer first thing Friday morning. My truck was seen by John. John is very knowledgeable in his trade. I had my truck back in 3 hrs. The labor is priced little on the high side BUT well worth the service and knowledge given to me the customer. I will be returning to have my hole front suspension redone soon. Thanks to John and all members.

I really like bringing my car to All Car for my services because they look everything over and don't sell me things I don't need. They always take care of my car fast and if its a longer than a couple hours I can get a ride home. They are very good at finding out what is wrong if my car makes a weird noise. Oh they also noticed my light was out and replaced it. Basically I can bring it in and get everything taken care of for a good price and honest people which is hard to find these days.

I couldn't have had a better experience here. I was greeted by a friendly guy at the front desk who took my information. They sent out a mechanic right away and he brought the car into the shop. It turned out to be a minor problem. They fixed it and didn't charge me a dime. I was in and out in all of a half hour.

INTERESTING COMMENT BUT TOTALLY FALSE. ITS SAD TO SEE SOMEONE WRITE BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY. WE HAVE TAKEN OUR CARS TO PAUL BROW FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS. PAUL AND CHERYL BROW HAVE WORKED HARD TO BUILD ALL CAR TO WHERE IT IS TODAY.WHY DO YOU THINK THEY ARE AN AUTO CLUB APPROVED REPAIR FACILITY!!! IF ALL THIS PERSON HAS TO DO IS WRITE FALSE INFORMATION SOUNDS LIKE THIS "FRANKIE" NEEDS TO FIND A JOB SO HE DOES NOT HAVE SO MUCH SPARE TIME ON HIS HANDS...

I love All Car! They fix my cars right the first time, every time. Whenever I go to the dealers (VW Alhambra or Wondries Ford), my cars never come back 100%. The dealers steal my floor mats, break some thing else, etc. All Car returns my car the way I expect it. Fixed!!! The staff is friendly and helpful. The technicians get the task done. And, I get a car wash. They are not the cheapest, but they are worth it for peace of mind and excellent customer service. I've come here for smog checks, to brake replacement, to engine repair work. Thanks All Car!

Don't let the smile and shuttle service fool you. They may have a loyal customer base. Most of them do not shop for parts or know much about cars. I went there for drum brakes..mine were rusted stuck on and warped. No way of removing them without replacement. I trusted the place since I knew one of the technicians. They call and tell me I need new drums.. sure no problem. On Amazon they are $70 (Centric Premium) what they got was $150 a piece..apparently Centric does not make good parts (because they did have any in stock). $100 to drain transmission fluid and fill (I provided the fluid)..interesting....I wonder if they understand what communicating means?
Honestly take your business elsewhere. don't think because you know someone there means they will make sure it was done correctly and honestly. As they say, a good auto repair shop is hard to find.

I only had my dead battery charged and tested here but really enjoyed my experience overall.
After being out of town for a week, I came home to a totally dead car. I tried jumping the car myself but could not get it to work so I ended up calling AAA to help me get the car started. The AAA service guy tested my battery and said it was completely dead and recommended that I bring it to a shop to get it charged unless I want to drive around for an hour at high way speed. I asked the guy if he knew of any shops in the area that could do that, and he told me about All-Car. He said that they should not charge me for charging my battery.
I was in such a hurry to get the car charged (before it dies again) I took off with my mom and drove it straight to the shop without calling ahead. Once I got there and explained my situation to Tracy at the front office, she kindly informed me that the car will have to stay there overnight for charging and they also would want to do some testing to make sure the battery itself is fine and doesn't need to be replaced.
I was just thinking how I'm going to walk home or take the bus now when she told me that they could drive me home!! Apparently they provide courtesy shuttles for anywhere within the 5 mile radius! That is simply awesome.
Tracy called me in the morning the next day, told me the battery is fine and I picked up my car in the afternoon. I was not charged for anything, and found the entire experience extremely pleasant. Tracy and all the other people there that I came into contact with were all very friendly. I'm glad to know of a AAA approved shop in my neighborhood now!

I give one star as the only thing good they did for me was get me my certificates I needed. Why are they so bad you ask? Well, as someone who has some common sense with cars and car repair ( not your general customer who knows nothing) - this shop has nice staff, but their prices are honestly too high for what are repairing, and continue to charge for whatever bullshit they say they do until they feel they have starved their customers of enough of their money for nothing. Go here if you want to waste your money and have mechanics work on your car who dont care about their customers satisfaction. Horrible.
Paul: first of all, you guys clearly didnt tell me the brake lights and tail lights wernt working, just two parking lights and high mount brake light. Im not an idiot, you knew that beforehand. Then you re-checked and targeted those lights as your shop was not happy to not get that extra bit of money from me. $65 extra fucking dollars to clean the inside of the bulb sockets? Of course you did because you know i am never coming back and wanted to get the most from me.

My father was a Ford mechanic for 40 years so it's really hard for me to go anywhere else but home to get my cars maintained. However, it seems that once you are past the age of 30 and your two month old looks at you with higher expectations in life, cutting that tie from home seems appropriate. I'm a AAA member & I can appreciate their recommendations. In the event a places sucks, I can always take my concerns to both the place of service & AAA. All-Car is a great family run business!
They are extremely friendly & have a great turn around. I've taken my car there twice: once for a smog check & a second time for an oil & filter change, tire rotation & general work up. So thus far we are very pleased!

Had an issue where my car broke down far from home and had a gas pump failure that was repaired by another mechanic. In a "while we are at it" moment, I had them fix a gasket around the upper portion of the engine. Well it turns out that Saab's don't like this type of repair and the Japanese-car specialist I was at didn't know that a little pickled herring and strong drink will help. After 3 weeks(!!!)my car wasn't running correctly with a high idle and the mechanics just couldn't figure it out.
I said, look, no problem, let me get it to the guys at All Car and they can give me the real deal and isolate the problem. Drove it in, set up the paper work and 8 hours later, my car is running with a 6 dollar part repair, a bill for $120 (thanks AAA for the discount) and a car wash to boot.
Good, honest communication, straightforward repairs at honest prices and friendly service.
Appreciate your local mechanic. They can get your car running the right way when a non-all-car specialist tweaks it.

I had a check engine light on and when I called they just told me to come on by so they could squeeze me in. I did and they pulled the code from my car in a couple of minutes. Friendly people, Unfortunately they charged me 100 dollars for a diagnostic when pep boys gave me the same codes for free.
Then they asked if I wanted a transmission diagnostic for another $140 on the top on the $100. I don't understand shouldn't that covered the full diagnostic ?? why would they charge soo much . You be the judge..

Brought my supercharged Miata here a while back and ended wasting hundreds of dollars on their band-aid of a solution before they could find the underlying cause of the problem. Their warranty does not apply to modified cars. All-Car Specialist may be good for general repairs of stock cars, but if you have a modified car or have a mysterious issue or even both, avoid them and find someone who has masterful expertise with your specific model and/or works with modified cars.

I have been a customer here since 1989. He has kept all of my cars in tip-top shape. I have owned Audis, Volkswagens, Hondas, Chevys and Fords. Paul is a great mechanic and he runs a great shop. Most unethical and dishonest service shop I have ever encountered. If there was a zero star rating, I would have chosen that. Paul replaced my rear differential on my ford truck. No issue there. When I picked up my truck, the check engine light came on after driving away at freeway speeds. I brought the truck back and left it for Paul to look at. He called me a few hours later and said it was done. When I picked it up, he said that it was a Ford or service issue and not part of my repair even though the light didn't trigger when I initially came in. Skeptical, I went to the dealer and they confirmed it was due to a poor differential replacement. Paul would not fix it nor reimburse the costs to complete the repair. Can't believe this is a AAA ENDORSED BUSINESS. Stay away and go anywhere but here unless you enjoy getting ripped off by a crook.

This is the kind of auto repair shop you hope to find. They go out of there way to be informative and helpful.
I came in for a smog check, and they noticed a problem with my brakes...I had just paid for new rotors and pads at a another repair shop but apparently the brake fluid hadn't been refilled after it was flushed. They took it upon themselves to call the location and talk to the mechanic, on my behalf, to get to the bottom of it.
It's the little things, there genuine concern far exceeds "good" customer service. Real people who are really great!

Much like the other reviewer, I found this place while looking for Redline oil. It was too late to order the stuff online as I really wanted to get my tranny and diff fluid changed this weekend.
The price is pretty good, not quite as cheap as online but that's what you pay for being able to get the stuff right away.
The lady that handled my transaction was really nice and after looking around a little bit I'm contemplating trying this place out if I need some work done.

I've been taking my vehicles to All-Car for more than 15 years. I keep going back because they are dead honest and generally do excellent work. This might be the best part - the one time they screwed up, they mis-diagnosed an overheating problem and replaced some parts that weren't causing the problem. When then figured it out, they IMMEDIATELY admitted it, ate the cost of it and immediately found and fixed the real cause and covered my rental car as well. Frankly, they easily could have hidden this from me, doubt that ever crossed their minds. Every other repair has been perfect, but I think it shows the true heart of a place when they manage their mistake (rare mistake, 1 in over 15 years) in such a professional and classy way. So I keep going back and I am still very happy.

Sophia got it wrong. If you want a cheap oil change you go to one of those quick in and out 10 minute oil change places. We all know who they are and yes they have a check list of things they look at. At All Car they have mechanics with skills that do more than remove an oil plug, drain the il,replace the plug, same with filter then replace the oil.Good Mechanics with skills have to be paid higher hourly wages, without skills they end up at Pep Boys ,Jiffy Lube.......All Car guys are good, fair and honest. I have taken several cars there over the years and each got fixed right the 1st time or the 2nd when I went to Pep Boys 1st,lol. I thought long and hard about taking my Porsche there but I did. They fixed the clutch, brakes and changed the oil on 3 different visits and did it right the 1st time every time and way cheaper than my Porsche mechanic.
If you plan on going, call first to make sure they can get your car done before you go.

My father took his car here after spending $1600 at another garage (Asari Auto Repair) to fix the suspension. All-Car Specialist was recommended by AAA.
They charged $2000 and it took them 12 days to fix the car, but we have never had a problem since.
My only concern was they insisted on changing the brake fluid. How the brakes are related to the suspension is beyond me.
You can read my horror story about Asari Auto Repair in a future post.

Shady! My dad needed a valve replacement on his Ford SUV. He went to four different shops. Prices varied: $1200, $2000, and $2000. All-Car Specialists quoted $4600! Saying that because my dad's late model SUV had a "special" engine they have to completely remove for access. They then said he might as well replace the entire engine for $7000! Shady!

I went this morning to take my 2007 camry for replacement of the front bearings. my vehicle is not fixed yet since i just left it there earlier but i felt the urge to write this review and it is based only on customer service but im pretty sure i will not be disappointed with their work. the reason i wanted to write this review is because when i was leaving in my other car it had a problem starting and when the technician seen me struggling he voluntarily came to help me. he helped me fixed the battery post immediately (at no cost!!!!). If their repair work is as good as their customer service then I will definitely make them my permanent mechanic and refer them to all my family and friends. I wish i would have got the gentleman's name but he will definitely make a first time customer into a repeat customer. thanks for the great customer service ALL-CAR SPECIALIST. OH YEAH AND I FORGOT TO ADD WHILE I WAS SIGNING THE PAPER WORK AN OLD MAN WAS THERE GETTING HIS VEHICLE SERVICED AS WELL. A FEMALE WORKER OFFERED TO GIVE HIM A RIDE HOME AND PICK HIM UP ONCE HIS CAR WAS DONE. I THINK THAT WAS GREAT AND SHOWED ME HOW IMPORTANT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS TO THEM.

This morning, I was looking for a trustworthy auto repair shop on Google to do an oil change and to replace a rear light bulb and I found this place with high reviews, all 5 stars. But...I have a different opinion after I've done the service with them today.
To break down my one hour and 10 minutes service:
Parts: $35.65
Labor: $47 really? I meant? an oil change? and just few screws to replace the light bulb!
Surprisingly plus tax and stuff minus AAA 10% discount , it costs me $80.16 total which I think is the most expensive oil change I have ever done. Okay, minus the $20 they charged to replace a light bulb which I can probably do it myself for under 10 bucks. Still, $60 is on the pricey side in my opinion. When I still live in the West L.A., I paid $20-25 to have my oil change done and also comes with a FREE inspection on brakes, tires etc. I was satisfied with my previous auto shop! Just it's really far now that I've moved!
When I walked in, the guy asked me if I am here the first time. I said yes. He's polite and would explain everything to me. I am not sure if I will come back again as the price is pretty high here to me. I can probably find a better deal with the same service in the other shop.

My 2000 Chevy Astro Van has been kept alive by All-Car! I will soon be approaching 200,000 miles. They are honest, thorough and up front about every repair and they stand behind their work. When I tried to save a few bucks by going to a cheaper mechanic, I really paid for it in the end and learned my lesson: cheap doesn't save in the long run but quality work lasts and my van is living proof. Trust is what it's all about.

Don't be fooled by the humble appearance of the shop. These guys are top-notch mechanics. These guys are the best garage I've been to. They kept my Ford explorer running to 270,000 miles. It was running fine when I sold it. (I shouldn't have sold it.) The first time I went there was for a problem that the Ford dealer and Pep Boys could not fix. The dealer charged me over a grand twice and they still couldn't fix it. All-Car's fixed it the first time at half the price.
Paul and Javier are the main guys. They oversee all the repairs. They will tell you when you don't need stuff fixed and will show you the problem when you do. They are straight shooters with a loyal following.
I'm sad I moved away from the area. I gotta find a new shop now. :( But I still drive out of my way to see them if I'm having a problem with my car.
Pooper out!

Horrible place with horrible workers. I am sorry but a simple smog check should never take longer than half an hour...ever. It is a quick and painless operation. I was made to wait over an hour and be late for AAA to finish my car buying process. Then I was overcharged to just over 55 dollars while every other place in the world charges 40 max. I also catch the worker perusing through my car and looking all around for no apparent reason. When I get my car back my freshly washed windshield is smudged horribly from him playing around with my windshield wipers and cleaner fluid and my A/C is on full blast with EVERY single setting turned to the max. For all I know I could have been waiting for hours for some stranger to sit in my car and enjoy hours of AC on my gas and time if I had not inquired about my car. HORRIBLE PEOPLE. HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE QUALITY. This business is shameful and ought to be shutdown. What a disgrace. The only reason why this is still around is because google maps thinks they're worthy enough to enter the more well informed and civilized world of customer service.

Excellent place. Don't judge by its outside appearance! The staff is courteous and friendly and they are experts. Certainly not the cheapest place, but they won't do more than is necessary and not try to push you into having unnecessary repairs. Also, their work is impeccable, so there is no need to keep coming back for the same issue. They simply recommend repairs and leave it up to the customer to decide. Besides, they will keep the history of repairs you had them do, so you can always ask them to provide you with a print-out, which really helps once you sell your car. They even offered to help me finding a buyer for my old car. In summary, I think their excellent service actually helps you save money.

I was looking for Redline Gear oil and called all the typical auto parts stores. None of them carry any Redline products so I looked on Redline's website and saw that All Car was one of their authorized distributors. I called and the owner's wife, Cheryl, answered the phone and was helpful and even placed the oil on hold for me. The price was very reasonable (I'd buy more if I could) and the facilities may not look like a 5 star hotel from the outside but when you see how professional their operations are from the inside and all of their training certificates, you'll know that All Car is a highly reputable business. The next time I have a car problem that I can't fix, I know that I'll be taking it here and I advise anyone else do the same.

What an honest and professional business the All-Car Specialist Auto Repair group truly is! I received service beyond my experience; much like the service my very own father gave his customers in the 40s and 50s as a mechanic for our neighborhood customers. The points that the mechanic, the supervisor of the crew, and the office personnel offered were so helpful that it made the pain of having to pay for work to correct what the previous SCION TOYOTA dealer in Santa Monica and North Hollywood failed at, as well as the FIRESTONE shop in Beverly Hills totally missed -- all a bit less biting! This neighborhood shop is just like my dad's was -- clean, well organized and the employees answered my questions free of nonsense. Believe me, the $400+ bill (after 8 months of lousy service from the others mentioned above) and the respectful common-sense (instead of the "quick-and-dirty" and "it can't be that bad" that the bigger competitors delivered) redefines the meaning of SPECIALIST and changed my thinking about auto repair specialists in this experience -- these professionals ACTUALLY KNOW what they are doing AND deliver great, down-to-nuts and bolts service to their customers! Thanks so much, All-Car Specialist Auto Repair; you have a lifelong customer now!

A REAL TIME SAVER! I have visited three other auto repair places within the span of three months to diagnose an annoying loud squeak that resonated inside the cab of my Nissan Pathfinder, coming from the front end. Without spending much time, I received three different answers to remedy my problem - all wrong answers! When I finally took my car to All-Car Specialist, Duane took as much time as needed to find the source of the noise and diagnosed the problem correctly. They repaired the problem reasonably and spared me from near insanity. Shuttle rides to and from the repair shop - a nice bonus! This repair shop should have been my first stop! It will be next time!
