Worst car inspection experience!! We went to Murphy's to get the car inspected and the inspection was failed to some of the things like air bag light on, loose struts and center brake light not working along with few other minor things. First of all, I had checked that the center brake light was working just before we went there and after the inspection too I found it working where as it was listed as failed item. I let it go thinking I will let them know at the time of reinspection. And asked them to diagnose the air bag and struts to start with. For air bag they advised to go to toyota dealership after initial diagnosis. And for struts, Joe mentioned that they checked again and found the struts to be fine. (Second negligence in inspection). After getting the items fixed my friend went again to get the car reinspected and car inspection was failed again due to loose struts (which they verified earlier to be fine) and center brake light ( which has been working even before first inspection). We went to another station for the inspection as is and car passed inspection. Also, I had given the car registration at the time of inspection and left it there while the car was there for diagnosis. But when we took the delivery, they straight away stated that they do not have our registration document. This might be one odd case but this is what happened atleast with me. It was first and last time to visit Murphy's.

I have been going to these good folks for ever. They have never disappointed me and usually find a way to exceed my expectations. I recently asked Joe what cars he would recommend and he said that he doesn't recommend but will be happy to discuss the ones to avoid. Considering his experience, this was even better than the positive recommendations. We are very lucky to have Joe and his team in Saxonville!

As usual, Murphy's Automotive did not disappoint, when I brought my 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport to them again this spring for it's annual tune-up. After they do whatever it is that people who know cars do under the hood and below the cab, my 12-year-old truck drives almost as if it is brand new. With the age and mileage of my vehicle, the problems grow more serious with each year, and this time was no exception, and included a check engine light that would not disappear, and wheel rims that were so old and rusted, my tires could not stay inflated. Murphy's put me back on the road safely in no time (the work taking just a few hours). And now I am good to go for another year in my old Jeep, and all for only about $200. They could have told me a dozen things were wrong with my Jeep, but instead they were honest, applied their experience and knowledge, and fixed the vehicle. I have absolutely no reason to ever want to have my car(s) serviced any place else except Murphy's.

used to be customer., Front brakes and rotors replaced $300. +. Rotors wore out in 20.000 miles. pad wear indicators were showing pads were still good slide pins were not greased , bottom pin with the bushing installed on top. pad brackets rusty . Logic would dictate without proper lube; brakes apply more slowly and abrupt . and they don't release properly and wear on the rotors. a Safety issue !!. I have mechanics experience . Have your brakes inspected every 7500 miles by a trusted mechanic I requested from Joe ceramic brake pads. they installed semi metallic that give off black brake dust ceramic dust is gray. 2000 miles I complained to Joe they were not ceramic he insisted and brow beat me they were ceramic. With him the worn brakes will be my fault if you have a problem with a repair you got there "good luck" . Another time I got very sick while my car was being serviced there. I had to call 911 ALS Not one of these fine mechanics showed any concern. When I returned for my car Joe did not even have the decency to ask how I was doing . what nice people

I have been a customer of Murphy's Automotive for 17 years. They have worked on all my Honda"s. I have never been disappointed of the work they have performed. They are a great family company. They deserve my five stars. I will never go any where else.
