A great place to get your car fixed. They're honest and fair.
Some jerk had smashed my car's back bumper without leaving a note. My insurance paid ... after the deductible--ouch! Dudley St. fixed it well. Car looks great!
I had a small problem with the trunk door not closing smoothly and they adjusted it right in about 10 minutes.
Mass. Ave. is a short walk away, so I could catch a bus (77, 79, or 350) back home after dropping off my car.

I recently took my BMW there. When I got there, I told Dave about my previous experience at the BMW body shop and how they took a month to fix a fender.
Dave laughed about it and said even Herb Chamber would not use that body shop because they lie about when it's going to get fixed.
Dave told me that it will take 5- 7 days and it will be ready by the middle of next week and there is NO IF AND BUT ABOUT IT.
Well, that was a whole another story.
Every week I would email him and he would extend the delivery date by a day and finally I got the care after exactly a month.
Work was good.
I am giving it 2 stars because he lied to me about the delivery and only replied my emails when I texted him first.

Excellent service from calling and speaking to Bonnie who went above and beyond to assist me giving me options for this busy holiday season. From Diane (reminded me of my Mom with a good ear and willing to listen to your ramblings) who I gave and received my keys . Also John who came out to my car when I thought their still was a dent his words were" lets go take a look" (of course me power walking from Mass Ave and panting must of made me see wrong or at least hazy). Everyone seem to genuinely care that i was happy and at ease with Dudley Street Auto Body taking good care of everything. My Car was washed clean and parked out front easy for me to get in and go (Hate having to worry about getting out of a tight space or driveway after having my car serviced) . Like a previous reviewer I did take the Bus on Mass Ave to drop off my car and pick up which was easy peasy .

John and his team are the best! Dudley St Auto Body was recommended by our town's listserv, and the reviews were spot on - it's great service at reasonable prices. John makes it SO easy. They are incredibly accommodating and were even willing to pick me up with my kids so we didn't have to find a ride back to get the car after it was finished. Excellent service - will definitely return with all our cars' auto body needs.

Well...needless to say my car recently got in a fight with a skinny yellow pole...and LOST. Sigh. I tried to drive around with it looking dented up for a while but decided it just looked too ghetto to have a cute little convertible banged up in the dead of summer. Sooo...I reluctantly started looking for places to have my car repaired. And since I decided not to turn it in to the insurance company, I had to make sure that I found a place that was not only cheap but good. An impossible feat.
BUT, my friend recommended Dudley Auto Body to check out since they gave her the lowest quote out of the places she went to for a repair on her truck. So I gave it a shot. And I was pleasantly surprised!
I took my car in to James and he gave me an estimate within minutes. He gave me what it would cost him to repair it and what it would cost to replace the part so that there were no surprises. And the prices were actually far more reasonable than I had expected. So he promised he could have it done within a day if he could repair it (the next day in fact)...so I dropped my car off the next morning and he turns out he was able to fix my car beautifully AND saved me about $700 in costs to replace it. Plus, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car was literally right next door so I just walked over and picked up a car for the day. BONUS!! They also have a repair shop and tire service on sight so it's kinda like one-stop-shopping. It doesn't get any better. Oh and convenient location too. Am I gushing?!?!
Only downside is that they don't take credit cards for body work. Bummer. But still not enough of a deterent for me not to come back. I would highly recommend bringing your car here!

These guys are great. They are patient, sympathetic, hardworking, and careful.
My folks' car seems to keep getting things happening to it, I dunno the universe must hate that poor beat-up ol' Camry :) But no matter what happens, I bring it by this place and they fix it up, they take their time, they order weird parts that magically have fallen off, and they look for ways to save money without compromising safety.
They are also super respectful of my elderly parents, a good combination of professional but also nice.
location is convenient and prices are good, too.

Because of a hit and run accident, my car needed a new driver side door. I was unsure of where to go and felt hesitant to use the "recommended" list that my insurance agency provided. However, based upon their yelp reviews, perfect BBB record, and the fact that they are only 2 miles from where I lived, I decided to give Dudley Street Auto Body a try. When I called the shop, I was assisted by James, who immediately put me at ease. I needed the car to be repaired in a rather short amount of time, as i was supposed to travel to Maine in a matter of days. As soon as I arrived, James called in an order for the new door, and assured me that all could be completed within my time frame. He was wonderful in his followup, completed the work Early!, and made sure that i was thrilled with the outcome. Although I used to swear by the Acura dealership, I will probably give more of my business to Dudley's from now on. They were professional, reasonably priced, and provided exceptional customer service..
*for body work, i believe it is cash or check only... so keep that in mind :)

Strange experiences, strange manipulative vibe from James, the office guy and would not recommend this repair shop. Don't think he's aware of customer service let alone phone etiquette. Was told I would be called x5, never received one call. Met James then spoke to him on the phone yet, he never could recall who I was. Was told they could get my car in the following week after they took a look at the car, then when I called (since the guy never followed up as he said) he told me the first they could get the car in was two weeks out. The repairs were minor, yet was told two to three days for the repairs. Got the feeling that even if they would get the car done I wasn't going to get it any sooner, like it was a control thing for this guy. Was told that he would call when the car was done, took a chance and showed up - there was the car sitting in the lot. Noticed that they didn't realign something and they were good about taking care of it on the spot. But also got the sense that I should stay with the car so the car would receive only the realignment that was necessary. Eeks!!!

Dudley Street had done good body work for us several years previously so we took our Mazda to them recently for a rear bumper repair. Work was fine, but took several days longer than I was originally told, due to a parts problem. However James never bothered to call me about the delay - or to tell me the car was ready. Apparently at Dudley the onus is now on the customer to call. And when I arrived to pay and pick up - surprise - they wouldn't take a credit card. (No signs anywhere in the office about their no credit card policy. ) So I spent another 45 minutes making a round trip to our bank, and was late for work. How easy would it have been for James to call and let me know my car was finally ready, and explain that I needed to bring a check or cash ? Or for Dudley to simply put up a sign about the credit card policy - so all customers know ?

Great Body Work great people

This place is the BEST! I have used them for numerous repairs and each time they are courteous, very helpful, thorough, and complete the job on time. My last job saved me over $1500. Jim went way above the call of duty and my 2003 Aviator is like new. He offered to give me a ride home and he helped me get the car home when the job was done. They work with a smile and treat you the way a customer/friend should. Do yourself a favor and go see them when the time comes.
