I had been having car handling issues and this place was right around the corner from my work. I am always weary of car repair places because I feel like they try to pull a fast one on me and make me buy services or repairs I don't need. But the team here explained why I should invest in a new set of tires, given that my threads were showing on both my front tires. I admit that I judged a book by its cover and assumed all of these big mechanic type guys looking like they are out to rip me off because I don't have extensive car knowledge. The manager named Junior, even though he looked like he would be an aggressive salesman like at all of those oil change places or at a used car lot, was very nice and explained to me all of my options and why I should make certain repairs. I didn't feel pressured like I would be stranded somewhere with a broken car if I didn't change the oil or change my transmission oil. I have been coming back for my oil changes and other maintenance since I got my new tires and my car handles great and hasn't had any issues.

My car took a pretty nasty hit to a curb and my front right tire's rim ended up getting bent, causing it to leak air. I searched for the nearest shop and almost everywhere was closed because of 4th of July weekend - but I showed up here and was helped immediately! Edgar and Mel were so kind, helpful, and amazing. I wish all shops had people like them! They had my tire fixed and I was on my way in 10 minutes, max. I'll be sure to go here for any other car needs. Thank you so much guys.

Pablo, the soft spoken, kind gentleman at the counter greeted me as I told him I needed the tires rotated. After jacking up the car, he then showed me the issues, which was one completely ready for a blow out: cracked open, could see the metal inside, and another following close behind. He told me about the deals on tires, I went for the least expensive and decided to replace all four, without once ever feeling pitched a "good deal". Pablo simply educated me on the options with his sweet demeanor.
While they did the job, I shopped at Ross, (behind their business) only to come back to a nice surprise. Since they didn't have a set of the cheapest on hand, he upgraded me to the next at no charge. As I drove off, I could not help but notice the difference in the driving experience. I went from hearing lots of bumps and road noise, to feeling like I am driving on memory foam. Wow! No buyers remorse here.
I highly recommend this tire center. Make sure you see Pablo, he is a doll.

First and foremost, this is THE place to go. Customer service is something I recognize any place I go.... And I think I found the #1 place to go for service here out. I needed a quick fix up to my car and Bryan Chavez made that fix happen! He got me into the department and out quicker than I expected! Not only that, but he was respondent to all my questions and asked the extra questions that a person would WANT their technician to ask. These guys are super helpful. They are ready and willing to get work done on your car when you need it done and for a fair price.
I went in for a routine inspection for work and found that I needed rear brakes. I came in the next morning without an appointment and they were accommodating and completed my inspection. The guys in the office are really personable and seem to care about their customers. They gave me a quote for the job with options on what I could get done, but gave their best recommendation. I got the full brake service and it was exactly what they quoted. I have been driving a couple of days on my new brakes and they seem to be working well.
I will definitely go back. It wasn't bad waiting in the waiting room, but if you want to walk around it is close to Target and other stores. I went to target for some popcorn and came back to wait in their comfortable chairs.

Wow! JR and the entire team at this location are awesome! They helped me with my tire purchase, which I needed so desperately. Then came back for the brakes. I thought I needed all around brakes etc., but no they were honest, I only needed front pads. Saved me $$$$ and made me :0) Happy. They are honest, have integrity and want to make the customer have a great experience. I would recommend them for all repairs. Maybe not the cheapest but the peace of mind is worth money spent! And I got a See's gift certificate for a 1 lb box of chocolates! Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.

I am always a little skeptical when it comes to getting my car serviced & afraid I'm going to get jipped. That was NOT the case with Express Tires. I was in desperate need of new tires, struts placed on all 4 wheels & an oil change. Pablo answered the phone, he was so patient, thorough & professional in answering ALL of my questions & concerns. This place is legit. I have had nothing but amazing experiences with my car here. When it's time for the recommended services, if my car didn't need it...they just informed me that it can be done later. They have never tried to sell me things that my car didn't need, even though I'm sure they have a quota to make.
Also, if something wasn't perfect...they have been more than happy to fix the problem in a very reasonable time frame. I've always been kept in the loop of what's going on and they have delivered excellence each time.
Finally, the person who makes all this happen is PABLO. Without question, he portrays the definition of excellence, superior customer service and is the reason why I continue to bring my car there. So while they may be slightly more expensive...the cost of excellence is priceless.

I went for a synthetic oil change, which should've been $50.00 or so with the coupon. Eric, the supervisor, told me I needed four new tires and a water pump. He made me believe if I drove my car one more mile, my life would be in danger. He told me to finance thru their in house financing company called Flex Pay. I remember feeling so uneasy about it. However, I had no family in the area, I kept thinking,"what if my car break down". I feel like Eric took advantage of me because I was a woman, him and his co-workers laid it on THICK. I ended up agreeing to get the work done. The water pump and hoses were about $375 and the tires were almost $600.00. Everything moved so quickly, I didn't really think about my choices. I should've said,"Change my oil, give me my damn car!"
The FlexPay company interest rate was 185.8%, which I did NOT know. Express Tires told me it was 18%, 90 days same as cash!! I talked to Sherry, client services for Flex Pay (1.800.260.7506). She was very apologetic that Express Tires lied to me. Over all, I do take responsibility that I should've followed my first mind and read the very fine print before signing.... I still feel like they target women that come in unaccompanied. The saddest part is I kept one of my old tires and asked them for my old water pump and hoses b/c I wanted to show my dad. He said my tires only needed to be rotated and the hoses needed to be replaced ONLY!! My calls to cooperate haven't been returned yet..... It's been months.

Bought a couple of tires here in the last year or so. Saw that one of them was almost flat the other day and made my way over here knowing they would patch it for free.
I walked in just as they were getting ready to close but they still did my tire in less than 15 min. The guy said I had 3 nails in my tire! Whaaaat?? He asked if I had driven by a construction site, but I don't remember doing that.

Have to take my car to this place for the inspection for the Sidecar taxi service that I do on the side. What a horrible place. I shouldnt have to wait over an hour & half just for inspection. I had made appointment three days prior but it seem like they didn't prioritise my car at all. Uber Lyft or Sidecar dont take your car here.

I recently got a flat because I'd accidentally ran over a nail. After asking around and everyone telling me to come here, I did. Great experience!!! Great staff. They were able to patch not one but two holes in my tire and put it back on for FREE! They were also surprisingly speedy. We will be coming back here for any future needs. I highly recommend them.

I'm only giving a 1 star because it's impossible to give zero stars. I've taken my car to this shop a few times and every time it seems something new is wrong with my car. I just had to get a coolant flush on my car because someone in that shop put automatic transmission fluid in the radiator of my standard car. I talked to the manager, Brandon, and he wasn't too helpful. Neither was Scott from corporate who is supposedly the customer service representative. Didn't seem to customer friendly when I talked to him. The bill came out to $400. I'm a mechanic at the shipyard and I hate doing mechanical work outside of work, and this is the only shop I take my car to. I would recommend that you be very cautious when dealing with this shop.

My husband was second person to show on a Sunday and was told the wait time for an oil change would be an hour! However during that time they did find a nail in his tire and after calling around the guy behind the desk cut him a deal so he wouldn't have to drive anywhere and they could keep the business... While my husband was leaving he stupidly forgot his Father's Day gift, Beat headphones, but the man was very honest and brought it out to my husband who was clueless at his forgetfulness. So I'm very thankful that the guy didn't try to keep them for himself, very honest :)

I couldn't have been more disappointed in my trip to Express Tires.
I called early in the morning to make an appointment to have my tires changed just prior to Thanksgiving. I will say this, the staff, and the manager who's name I can not remember now, were extremely nice and polite. However, that's where the sunshine runs out.
I was told they don't make appointments but I could bring my car in and they would get me new tires. I showed up at 10:30 AM and had my car pulled in by 10:40. There were 2 people waiting ahead of me. Now I realize that they offer all kinds of services and that some take longer than others. So after the first few people who showed up after me paid and left before me, I was still hanging tight, keeping the above in mind. FOUR HOURS AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES later my car was done. I sat there the whole time, impatiently waiting.
I went in for 2 tires and was presented a deal for 4 tires. I wasn't sure at first and needed to think about it (which took about 10 minutes to decide to go ahead with the 4 tire deal). At the end when asked if this is the "express" service I can expect from these guys in the past, I was blamed for "you were deciding on the tires so we didn't do anything with your car". They totally forgot about me and then blamed me for their ineptitude. So that was pretty cool.
The total was just over $500 for tires (which is about 350 more than I expected because...heres the shocker...my car tires didn't quite line up with their catchy add to get people into the store). So i decided to take advantage of their FlexPay program. This program finances the amount of the tires and charges your account monthly. Super helpful for people without a lump sum of cash. I was told that I can set it up to make 3 payments in the first 90 days and I would be charged 0% interest. However, if I missed even one patent, the offer would be rescinded and I would deb charged 51% interest on the $500. I paid $150 that day towards the balance and then worked with the manger for about an hour setting this up. I get it, he was busy that day, but he was pretty limited in his scope of knowledge as to how the program worked. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO BE THE MANGER OF THE STORE AND HAVE LIMITED PRODUT KNOWLEDGE?!?!?! Need less to say I was waiting for my first payment to come out since January 1st. Well it turns out that the information and contract was done incorrectly when sent to the finance company who houses these loans. I was told it was done wrong at the Tire place and would now be getting dinged for not "holding up my end of the agreement" because the contact was done wrong. Even though I had nothing to do with that portion of it, now get to pay for his mistake and his lack of product knowledge.
Moral of the story...pay a little extra to deal with people who care about the type of business they do. Go with someone local and not so corporate. Or at least go across Midway St to Discount Tires. Super disappointed. Hate even having to write something like this. BUYER BEWARE

They also have the tools to align vehicle frames which is important because tires wear too fast if a frame is out of alignment. The tire shop across the street doesn't have an alignment rack. I came in here with high expectations on getting my car fixed. They seemed friendly over the phone and when I first arrived. They gave me a 45 minute estimate and I was ok with that for a transmission change. An hour went by and I asked about my car. The manager Brandon took me out to look at it and said I needed another basket for the transmission area and said it would be another 30 minutes or so. In no shape or form is this ok. No one told me about the extra time and if I didn't say anything, I would probably be sitting here even longer. Not happy with the service and the inconvenience that they cause me because I had some things to do that I couldn't get done. Consider this is your getting your car worked on here. Not coming back and not recommended.

This place started off good. I pulled up with my 2 month old baby to get a quick oil change they were friendly and quoted me 45 mins. So I walked over to target to pick up some things and kill some time. I went back an hour later thinking the car would be ready. They told me that the had to order a filter and it would be done shortly. After 2 1/2 hour the baby started getting fussy and I asked the manager that I had been waiting for 2 1/2 hrs and what was going on. He told me it would be ready shortly and charged me full price, and then told me that I needed an alignment. I told him I could not wait around for another 3 hrs for an alignment.

I called in the other day looking to get a Vehicle Inspection Report to become an Uber driver.. without an appointment, I've been told it can be a 2 hour wait to get this done. Pablo answered and asked me and told me about the wait time but when realizing my car was new, he said to just come on down and he'd take care of it right away. The entire process took maybe 15 minutes and I now have all the paperwork I need for Uber. Awesome service - I'm super grateful!

This place is legit. I had a flat tire a couple of days ago and called this place and spoke to Pablo. He fixed me up with a really good deal for all 4 tires and an alignment. I went in today and TJ helped us out with everything. I've never been to a place more honest that gives all the information to you that you need to take care of your tires and make them last longer. We will be returning here for all maint on our car and our tires. I trust these guys which is huge, because I trust nobody. Highly recommend this place.

Well let me start off by saying it took almost 20min. after i walked in for someone to help me.... Even though i was the only person there at the time.
The place itself is not the cleanest. Fast food cups just sitting in the wait area even though no one was there. Its an auto shop but you would think they could at least throw away the trash!
The customer service was decent once i was finally attended to and my car was in and out quickly. (Oil change).
I havent been to any other auto shops in the area but i will probably be going somewhere else next time.

Here is another tire store in the Midway area that has recently relocated. Where once Express Tire used to be right across from the County Health building on Rosecrans, they have now moved & taken over the OLD Discount Tires location in that small strip mall on Midway Dr. This must be a good situation for them, although being right across the street from the brand new, fancy-schmancy Discount Tires may not be the best location overall.
Still, I imagine if someone is in a hurry and cannot wait around over at Discount Tires, the alternative is now conveniently right across the street. Discount Tire's sloppy seconds are nothing to sneeze at. I checked out the new Express & found it to be nice with some helpful employees. I do worry about a retail over-saturation of tire & auto repair stores in the area but if they can make bank by being so closely located near each other, then all the best to them-- all.

The first time I came to the Midway location for an oil change I was satisfied with the service and I was planning to make this my new go to shop for oil changes, as of today that has changed.
Last week I came in and was denied service because they were under staffed and had 4 cars ahead of me with 1.5hrs left to close, so I understand that. Today I called to asked if I could come in for an oil change and they said yes, I asked if I should make an appointment and they said no. I show up and they tell me they wont be able to service my car, I tell the guy that I called earlier and that I was told to bring in my car; I still get a no. I tell the guy that this is the 2nd time this happens amd I leave.
In a location surrounded by competition you would expect better service to keep customers coming back, unfortunately for me, my 2nd and 3rd visits left a bad taste and I have no plans to come back and waste my time.

Express Tire did not make me happy on my most recent visit for a basic oil change. Of course, I wasn't able to experience this unhappiness until 3 weeks after the fact when Ocean Beach Tire Center opened my hood for a nice surprise just after a new tire install. They discovered my dirty air filter sitting on my engine out in the open, my air filter housing unsecured, and my battery terminals were covered in corrosion buildup. Wow! So fascinating that Express Tire employees were the last folks under my hood and the area was so unorganized/neglected. Thank you OB Tire for pointing out this fact, and thank you for getting my auto squared away. My spouse and I won't be going back to Express Tire...OB deserves the business more.

I came in to have my car inspected to be an Uber driver. All the staff were very courteous and professional. It took about 45 min and during that time, I started to feel like I was hanging out with my family. All the guys are super nice. After the inspection, they let me know that my alignment needed attention soon, but didn't push any services on me. I've been coming here for over three years and I value and trust these guys. They have great hours, amazing service, great customer care and most importantly they don't over charge. Ever. I've used Express Tire over the years but this location is so great I had to get on Yelp to write a review. Excellent customer service, they really take care of you, quote you very fair prices and do excellent work. Brandon (Mngr) & Pablo (Asst Mngr) were incredible! I HIGHLY recommend going here.
I had just come from Discount Tire across the street looking for an alignment, since Discount does not offer that service, they told me to go to Suspension Plus across the street & I would get a great price (they have some kind of referral deal together). Suspension Plus is right next to this Express Tire location. As soon as I got out of my car, Brandon from Express Tire greeted me even though I was not even going into their store--I was headed to Suspension Plus next to them. Turns out the guy at Suspension Plus was very rude right when I walked in, and then once I told him the price I was quoted he was even more rude to me (bad day for him, maybe? I have no idea why.)
Anyway, as I was headed back to my car, Brandon at Express Tire saw me again & asked me what happened. He said he would be more than happy to honor that price for me that I was promised for Suspension Plus. They were very busy at the time, but still they did the job as fast as possible and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes.
That is INCREDIBLE service- to show that he really cared, and wanted to make sure I had what I needed, AND he even gave me an over the top great price. They did an excellent job - they do the alignment with the laser for a more precise result, and even provide you with print-out's of the 'before' and 'after'.
Long story short, I am SO glad that I went there, and am very grateful that Brandon took care of me. Thank you Express Tire!

This was my second time at Express Tire and both times have had me leaving question free and pleased. TJ was extremely informative and told me exactly what I needed today, then broke down what I'll need and what the service costs are so I can budget accordingly for the future.
As an UBER driver, I am happy I can take my car here and feel as though someone explained my car in English so I could understand!
He even complemented the fact I took care of something quite expensive, even though I'd had the work done somewhere else and said often people ignore that need.

I value excellent service from start to finish and am usually willing to pay more for that, however, I felt very well informed from the beginning and like my situation was a priority to them, for a fraction of the cost I would've paid the dealership. If you want a quick and cheap oil change this is the place. Fully expect to be told you need all kinds of overpriced services and parts. If you can say "NO" and not be scared into buying things you don't need and can wait to see your regular mechanic for the "more than an oil change" issues, then take your chances...

Ok I'm using my hubby's free oil change which they honored. Thankfully staff was nice did a free rotation and tire balance. But I noticed (this was after I left) they didn't replace my tire caps. (Well all but 1) still though.

I'm giving one star but id rather give none. I drove cross country they gave me the wrong tires and bolts and didn't rotate my tires. Pay ridiculous prices for them not to do the job. Will not be going back.

These guys are the Bomb!!! I show up at 5:30 pm they are about to close, I pull in with a slow leak in my front tire, Went too 2 other tire Companies and local yocal mechanics, everybody tried to sell me a new tire. My tire had only 10k on it. The hole was in a marginal spot but I knew it could be fixed. I roll in and they got the tire off and repaired it the right way in 15 minutes! Then didn't want to charge me!!!! OMG don't see that these days!!!! I tipped my mechanic per their wish and I was on my way. These guy's have my tire biz for life!!!!!

I brought my 09'Audi A4 to Midway Express Tire (MET) knowing in advance that my vehicle was going to need an experienced front and rear wheel alignment tech to assess the misalignment problems I was having.
See "Inner rib wear" on both front tires - A problem previously identified at a less credible establishment which suggested a $2500 camber kit as a solution.
The MET tech discovered two lower control arm bushings and two of the four upper control arm bushings to be defective. The A4 has over 80K miles on it at this time.
I found this to be consistent with the VWvortex blogs I had researched during the repair process indicated below:
VWvortex member CC'ed asserts that the Audi 4-link design is not durable because the bushings are required to move over a far wider range of motion (rotational AND lateral), compared to any other suspension design. The added lateral twist bushing motion occurs as you steer the car, and is what overstresses the rubber. (

One of the customer service associates placed the order for all four control arms and the car was picked up the next day with two new tires, four new control arms and a full alignment. I was relieved that it was finally fixed and that I wouldn't be burning through tires anymore.
Unfortunately, the next day, I realized that something was not quite right when I would start at full stop and accelerate onto the highway. The car seemed to slide to the right as I was accelerating and then corrected itself as I got up to speed.
So I called the store to report was I was experiencing. The MET associate asked me to come in to check the tire pressures. I came in the next morning and was immediately taken care of. The MET associate had a tech fill all of my tires up with nitrogen and took it for a test drive. The MET associate found that during his test drive, the traction control indicator would come on and he suspected something wasn't done right during the maintenance performed earlier that week at MET.
MET found out later that day that they hadn't performed one of their maintenance procedures properly for this type of vehicle. They were apologetic and quickly assured me that all of the new parts, maintenance, and service would cost nothing. I know this sounds like it could classify as a bad review but here is why I think the good people of MET truly deserve five stars instead of one.
They were honest, forthcoming and they held themselves accountable for their mistakes. Also, I don't know how many times I witnessed while I was waiting there, extremely rude people come in and demand service. It's funny how people in these reviews say that the store or business has no people skills assuming that all of the customers that come in to receive a service are born with it. You get what you give. And even though the people came in the way they did, I always saw them treated with dignity and respect. Not unlike a class organization by all accounts.
As of now, the repairs to replace everything and get it fixed with factory parts will actually exceed the cost from my original maintenance and I also have a loaner car from Enterprise while my car is being worked on. These guys have done everything possible so far to fix their mistake and I can't thank them enough for taking the high moral ground.
Hats off to the good people who serve San Diegians at Midway Express Tire.

The team at Express Tire is amazing! They really went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I today. On our way home from work turning on to our street, we both drove through a street covered in screws and ended up with all of our tires on both cars filled!
We called the team at Express 15 minutes before they were closing and they agreed to wait for us to arrive to assess the damage. Not only did three of their team stay late to help look at both cars, they stayed even later to fix both of them.
We ended up having to replace all of the tires on one car and patch and replace two of the tires on the other car. Without their help we would have had two completely flat cars in the morning. I really can't say how thankful we are for their willingness to help and their excellent customer service!

Their customer care people reached out to me and asked me to call the Director of Customer Service.
Review revised back up by 1 star.
I called the CS Director and outlined why I was calling. He was hoping I'd call (most do not make the effort). He had looked into the incident, and brought it directly to the President.
Add one more star.
I was confused how he could be waiting for my call, since I had not left any identifying information. He explained that he researched through the data base (by location and then by service performed?); this may have taken quite some time.
Add one more star- for management being proactive.
Now its a perfect score to reflect how they improved my experience dealing with Express Tire.

4 stars with deductions make it a 2 star rating.
Needed an alignment and was not screwed around at all......some of the other reviews indicated the up-sell was a drag, but to avoid, please NOTE * there is a box you can check indicating you do not want them looking at your car. I'm sure that helped with how quickly I got it back too.
I deducted one star for how the manager tried to mess with me: I drive a sports car and he was quizzing me on irrelevant topics. I've encountered other passive -aggressive males who probably drive Fords and try to mess with me because of their sitch.
He was actually as ass (I am remembering) how he spoke to the clerk signing in my car. Very inappropriately degrading and browbeating an employee for having to ask a question twice. (I may be writing corporate because of it).
Now I deduct another star for putting a manger into the customer arena so we can encounter how this manager treats the employees ....shame shame.
They returned my car with my wheels centered. The front and back tire sat on the ground with the wheels evenly aligned (all four actually) so my car looks good!
Actually it looks like my car was well taken care of and looked-after = happy customer. The employees are treated like crap by the managers.....for shame!

I needed a quick and cheap oil change, so I dropped by while I was out of town on business.
The manager, Eric, greeted my friend and I. He was super friendly and energetic. They were pretty busy but I told him I needed to get out of there within an hour. He said he would try. Good enough for me.
I come back 45 minutes later and my car was done! I paid for my bill and I saw that the workers were still in my car. Eric comes up and says that my brake light is out. He asks for a few minutes, and replaces the bulb!
Eric told me he's the new manager and wants to turn the place around. Ignore the 1 star reviews and give them a chance. You won't be disappointed.

If I could it them a negative rating I would. They totally pulled a bait and switch on us. when we went in they quoted me more right tires then after I agreed, they called to say they didn't have them and would have to put a different size and brand on which were cheaper tires but they of course did not offer to reduce the price quoted. What a scam!

Why can't I give zero stars !?
I will never bring my car here for anything !
Waiting over an hour to get a screw pulled out of a tire is absurd, considering there were guys standing around with hands in pockets ! Now, if the waiting area was full and there were cars filling the lot, I could understand the wait. These guys move like molasses on a cold day.
Stay away from this shop unless you have all day to wait for a tire repair.

I was extremely unimpressed with this place. They took forever FOREVER to look at my car as I work for a rideshare service. Then I felt like they held me hostage and forced me to get things fixed on my car that were not necessary in order to get the go ahead (which you HAVE to get to work for them). The company told me it should take 15 minutes, when in reality it took me 3 1/2 hours. Thank god Target is near by...

Had issues with my ride, thought I needed to rotate tires on my F-250. Other places needed an appt and charge. They said come on in. Had the time, evaluated my situation, checked for alignment issues, were honest to say alignment is fine and rotated the tires at no charge. I have used them before with my other cars and they are honest, friendly, experienced,and capable. Got it all done during my lunch. What else do you need in a repair place? Highly recommended!

I DID read the other reviews and am sorry for the bad experiences. I have had those but never with Express Tires.
I began to go to Express over 10 years ago (the downtown Broadway location and the technician "Memo" quickly became my go to guy). Each experience was awesome. I hadn't been since that location closed until I needed a quick oil change. . . that brought me to Rosecrans for the convenient late hours on a Friday evening (I was going to drive 2 hrs east early Saturday) I first called and the rep. was friendly. I arrived and my car was taken in quickly by a different but also friendly rep. I went to eat across the street and my car was done before I was finished eating!
The guys patiently waited as I was the last customer out. They did NOT try to upsell me on anything else. OH - they did offer a higher grade oil, I said no and that was the end of that. The price was AWESOME, the 3 J's (don't remember names) were friendly and the overall experience was pleasant.

Purchased a complete set of tires. They charged me for road hazard protection without asking me. Ok - no problem I guess. Later have a leak in the tire take it in for the road hazard - We cannot find a leak sir. Tire still leaks take it back a few months later - This time they tell me it is a problem with the sidewall and cannot be repaired.
I tell them to replace the tire then - Should be under warrantee right? No- The tire model is no longer made. Now they require me to purchase a new tire. So what about the $50 they originally charged for the road hazard. I guess that goes for the owners Vegas fund.
Of course when you take your care there for a tire repair they take it upon themselves once they get you on the rack to try and sell you other maintenance items you don't need. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place.

Tire rotated visual check or certain things new oil and filter for 13.88 how can you beat that?! I usually do my own oil but this is too cheap to pass up. Oh you will probablly get 2 calls. 1 while they have your car letting you know what else is suggested in maintance and a second later in the day from recorded owner thanking you. I feel that if i price check services somewhere else and tell them hey you do my oil cheap but this place is cheaper for this that they would work with me but havent tried it yet. Def rec them and try to give them business for the fact i feel a little guilty about how cheap my rotation oil change is.

Pretty fast service, but dude workin on my car lost my matching valve stem caps from my custom wheels and replaced them with some regular generic chrome ones... That lack of attention to detail irritated me. Other than that, its alright. I have had better experiences at the other locations.

I went here to get a simple oil change. OF COURSE, they found several things wrong with my car (cuz usually when i go to a car place they always tell me so). basically, the damages would come out to almost $1000. yes, a grand. come to find out from my car savvy bro that nothing was wrong.
what irked me the most was the maintenance guy started out by saying, "i'm not just trying to take advantage of you because you're a woman." wow...i should've known. so yeah, make sure to get a second opinion if you go here. or just stay away all together.
btw, i gave one star for the cheap oil change. (~$12).

Called and inquired about an alignment for my 2002 BMW 325i on Sunday morning, and was told the cost would be $20 less than the quote I received from Evans Tire. Express told me I could come right on in and they would have it done in an hour. So, the wife and I jumped in the car and headed to Express! We left the car with them and walked down to IHOP for breakfast. Came back about an hour later and the car was done. Paid my money, drove away, and was very pleased with the job they did realigning my car. I'm 100% happy with these guys. And they didn't try to sell me any other services! Two thumbs up on this visit!

Last time I was here I read the past reviews which made me nervous, but these guys were great compared to jiffy-lube across the street who tried to rape me. $33.94 for an oil change, tire rotation(free), flat repair(free), and to balance two tires. Not too shabby. 45min wait which could improve but still not bad at all. Gave me the "change your shocks" sales pitch but i just said no. Ill do it myself.

I purchased a new set of tires here. No complaints with that, actually a great deal and they where super friendly. Got my tires rotated here twice after. THEN the Nightmare, i got a flat at 930 at night in spring valley on a sat night; gonna replace the flat w my spare. THEY ROUNDED OFF MY LUGGS so i wasnt able to remove my tire leaving me stranded!!!! talk about safety! THIS put me and my whole family at risk!!!!!! They are supposed to torque your luggnuts w the right size impact socket!!! they rounded them off making them unusable. i had to go to Auto zone at 43st wich closes at 11pm, got there just in time to purchase the last 6 luggnuts making me have to use the best four of the bad ones. anyways it turned into a four hour ordeal breaking free rounded off luggs in a parking lot with a flashlight.............. IF you come here......check your lugss, btw the luggs on my aluminum wheels cost 8 dollars each for the crappy ones. the ones my car uses cost 18.99 each x 20 is close to $400 replacement cost to me!!!! more than half the cost of my tires...... BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

I took my car in today and wow was I surprised! Express Tire had the best customer service I had ever experienced. I went in to get my brakes fixed because they had an excellent price. The staff was very informative and they really cared about what they did and cared about fixing all of the problems for my car. Abel went out of his way to make sure I understood all the problems of my car and how to fix it. It was overall a great experience, I would recommend this shop above all others for sure! i just needed my car's steering aligned. They say $50 and 45 minutes. 2.5 hours later, they were done. But it took them 3 tries to get the alignment right! at least it was cheap

I purchased a lifetime alignment from this place years ago. It's more than paid for itself. Even without the special deal, I would keep coming back. they are definitely meticulous in doing the work right and checking the car to make sure all is good. I also needed a leak plugged in a tire. I expected a quick plug, but these guys took the tire off the rim, found and patched the hole, and then rebalanced the tire. It was way more than I expected, and all for $20. can't beat it. I highly recommend them.

I have had multiple problems at this location but it is the closest to me, so my fault for continuing to go. I paid for life time alignment and even though I ask, they do it about 10% of the time (even though someone would say they did). I will tell them to do some maintenance and nothing else. They will try calling me about something else, and if I don't answer, they don't do anything to my car (including the oil change I brought it in for). I recently brought it in for an oil and that was the last straw. They broke another key off in my car door (and claimed it wasn't them even though it was impossible for it not to be them), they said they did not have time to perform my alignment fix even though I was in very earlier and tons of other people came in for services while I was there. I think it was because I already paid for it and they wouldn't get paid for it. I called them about an hour before they closed and they said it was just about ready (8 hrs for an oil change???) When I came back, they are all sitting around watching football and it still was not done. I called the main office to complain and even that guy was a jerk. Go to the Express Tire on Convoy, I will never go to this one again.

My car needed a major oil change and I saw their sign for a $14 oil change so I walked in to see the details. I had to sign up for a credit card with them to get the deal but they just told me to shred it when I got home. They reccomended an air filter & showed me the old one so I knew it was bad. I got out of there in an hour and paid about only $30 for the oil change & filter installed. Tyrone & Jay were very friendly and did not pressure us into buying a bunch of uneeded stuff or lie about anything, very honest and polite people. I'm bringing my next car to them soon and I reccomend them because of their quality customer service and peace of mind.

an 1-1.5 hour wait for an oil change turned to two hours. he did the usual spiel about fixing this or that, but i just laughed. all he mentioned was cleaning my terminals and replacing my stock radiator hoses even though "they look fine." huh? what made me laugh was that i need a new belt, you can clearly hear it squealing and my rear brakes need adjusting so bad the e-brake barely holds anymore. you're telling me they can't see those major problems with my car? i never have work done by them anyways, i just found it kind of hilarious. he got all butt-hurt when i refused the "recommended" services. they never even told me my car was ready, i happened to look out the window from the tv and saw my car parked. i went to ask if it was done, and he replied, oh yeah, it's done. what the hell? is it my job to check if my car's done yet? i got the feeling they could care less because i didn't buy their gimmicks. i'd rather pay jiffy lube $20-$30 for a 30min oil change next time. never going here again. Big-O-Tires on convoy has a sign for a $10 oil change, i may try them next time...

Finally someone I can Trust!

Driving home from work last week my car died while on Interstate 5. Ive never had a scarier experience in my life. Anyone who has been through it before knows what Im talking about. Anyway, it was around 5:30 when all this happened and my timing couldn't have been worse since I had a date later that night. Luckily I remembered a friend of mine recommeding Suspension Plus where they had had there car repaired in the past. I called my friend and got the number and before I knew it the guys at Suspension Plus had sent out a tow truck to come get me and my car. When I arrived I noticed that their shop closed at 6pm which was right as I got there but Brad and his crew stayed late to replace my serpentine belt (I actually know what that is now!) I couldn't have been more suprised and was delighted to find that a really bad night was saved by an outstanding group of guys that I will be recommending to everyone from now on. Thank you Suspension Plus you really are a place I can trust... Angela

Great experience with suspension Plus, second time going to a shop other then the dealership and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Brand was very friendly on the phone and helped me get my new clutch installed quickly and at a reasonable price compared to other local business. I have been taking my car to suspension plus for years now. They are the best not only are the prices fair, which is a rarity in itself now a days. But they are top notch mechanics. Lets start off with the fact that Taylor and Brad are Lifesavers. I brought my Honda Accord into Suspension Plus because my Brakes were making the loudest noise and every time I went to stop my car it wanted to pull left. After the Mechanics Inspected my Car they found that my Front Brake Caliper on the left side had seized up and the pad was almost gone. I blame myself for not bringing the car in sooner but sometimes you get too busy. Taylor gave me a great deal on a new set of Front Brake Rotors, New Brake Pads, Brake Calipers and a Fluid Exchange. Little Stella was so happy to get repaired in such a quick amount of time. I recommend all of my friends and family now to Suspension Plus, their honesty and integrity is second to none.

I recently bought a '99 Jeep Wrangler I knew might need some work so I called up Suspension Plus in Point Loma to get one of their free inspections. Mike the store manager was very helpful in walking me around the vehicle to show me exactly what was wrong. The right rear shock was blown and the rear differential was leaking a little. I went with 4 new KYB off-road shocks, a differential service, and a few other preventative maintenance items all for a great price. These guys know their cars!
