When I blew the clutch in my rsx at 120000 miles I knew I had put off the replacement to long and I called almost every shop on the area for quotes on the fix and I got quotes around 1200 and 900 but here they told me 750$ brought my car in and was done in 2 days. Fast for a complete clutch replacement and payed exactly what I was told it would cost 750! Recommended place! There very honest!

Came here years ago when my one coworkers friends dad worked there. Did good work on my old car from what I recall. My check engine as what appeared to be my transmission light was on and I called day ahead and was told if I dropped car off at 8am when they open I'd have to leave car there, but they'd call with update by 12-1pm. I dropped off my car around 835am n was told I'd get call by noon. Took uber to work and started my day. Was nice when they called back within the hour with good news. Car was good to go. Appreciate the free diagnostics check.

I was very impressed with my entire experience from quote through repair. I had never been to a transmission repair place prior to this and tried it because the dealer quote and others I spoke to were very high.
Lou was able to do it for half of what the dealer was charging and after speaking with him, it felt good giving my business to him. I can say that going forward he will get a lot more of my car service business!

I was driving my 2002 rav 4 this summer and noticed that the clutch started to slip. When I got my car inspected in south philly last month, the guy who inspected my car said I needed a clutch soon, within the next couple of months. The price he quoted me was a little high, so I called around. The dealer wanted 3500, a couple mechanics in philly said 1200-1800, and I was getting frustrated. I'm trying to pay my grad school tuition, man! My dad's coworker mentioned Cottman Transmission to him and said his son got a clutch replaced there for a good price, and my dad helped me call and set it up. The owner Lou is super nice and though its a chain it feels like a family owned business. He quoted me at around $800. I took my car to him and he did the job within 2 days, good as new. I paid a lot less than I thought I was going to have to shell out so now I have tuition money too (And shopping money, the holidays are almost here!). Lou and his team are down to earth and my car is good as new. I highly recommend giving Lou a call.

I really thought these guys were honest and good people but they are like every other corporate business. They over price and give you the run around. I had a tune up there cost me nearly $600 didn't change 1 coil!!! Months after I had them replace my water pump which cost me just under $500 they failed to adjust my timing belt and since I knew nothing about cars they allowed me to leave their shop with a crazy tapping noise as if I owned a diesel truck and I made sure to bring it to their attention that's not a sound I ever heard prior to bringing it in. They insisted that I take it to who did my oil change. Days go by I'm on my way home from work and boom! Long story short I ended up having to get a used engine because they failed to pay attention to detail. Cost me $3,000.00!!!!! Only mom and pop auto shops for me.

I found this center to be very honest, ethical, and competent.
Had a transmission problem with my BMW 2003 over the holidays. BMW Dealership wanted to replace it and charge me a fortune. Cottman was able to fix the transmission and save me the cost of getting a new one.
Highly recommended.

After our car broke down on the NJ Turnpike on the way back from Philadelphia to where we live in Brooklyn, we were frantic to find a place that could get our car working again so we could get home. Pep Boys sent us to Cottman here after they spent hours doing an engine diagnostic and determining that we had a "transmission problem", which they don't handle (slow and unproductive, a great combination!) Cottman was super helpful - they speedily identified the actual problem (not transmission-related at all), ordered replacement parts and resolved the issue quickly. They totally understood that we were stranded in NJ and prioritized getting our issues fixed quickly. Thank you, Cottman!

I had to get the transmission on my 05 Jeep completely rebuilt, and I'm very happy I came here. Very cool guys from the start, kind, curtious and honest. Bad bad place to get your car car or truck worked on or fixed, Joe the manager talks about and does drink in the morning before they open, Joe also was and is still doing cocaine. I don't think this would be the appropriate shop to get any repairs done,also they like to guess and throw parts at the vehicles problem, and charging you for things that are not at fault or do not need repairs. Lou the owner threatens his customers, and employees.
