My boss from my last job had me take one of the company pickups here for a transmission rebuild. I was skeptical at first but the repair was done quickly and as far as I know that wore out pickup is still on the road servicing the oilfield. I would have sent it to the junkyard.

My experience here was awful. I do not recommend anyone choose this place. I took my car there to get a squeaking belt, they told me the cause of my problem was a cracked thermostat. They replaced the thermostat and shortly after all my problems started... My car began to overheat. Fearing that taking it back to them would only cause more problems my parents towed it back to Lubbock to have a true professional work on it. Turns out ABCO put a defective thermostat on my car. I understand there is no way they could have know it was defective, but when I asked for my money back the manger refused because I didn't take it to them. She attempted to belittle me and was extremely rude. She was upset I didn't bring it back to them and scolded me for that. After asking around I know of many other people who have had bad experiences with them also. I feel I have been ripped off and wronged...

We had a couple of issues with our 2007 GMC Yukon XL. 1: The sending unit for the oil gauge went out. 2: Our AC would randomly blow warm air. ABCO scheduled and replaced the oil gauge and went above and beyond to figure out the issue with the AC. The best part is ABCO didn't try to up sell us on repairs we didn't need just to make more money. Thanks Jeremy and ABCO!

Taken advantage of!

Thought they wanted to help me? I quickly learned otherwise. I had taken/called about 5-6 cars and was told by the manager, Ray, that none of them were worth the money. I was beyond frustration and had run out of time, and Ray said, "Let me make a few phone calls and see if I can't help you find something,” and called the next day to say he found something perfect for me and my kids. He actually drove it to my house (only time not on property or on business phone) and told me that he had checked everything! I paid $2000. Come to find out it was in the paper for 1400 and cost only 1300. First he said the business profited the $700 but the next day said he did. I looked at this as a mechanic looking out for the clients best interest; when in all reality, it was a mechanic acting as a car salesman looking to make a quick buck! The owner, Jeremy, said this is a personal matter, but everything happened on the business phone and at the business itself, except as above.

Wow what horrific experiences!!! Put it this way, I am going to take this place to court because of the new owner, Greg, stating my warranty is voided because I said I had a hard time trusting them after these experiences. I have had to document and literally record every conversation with him and their employee Steve. They refuse to work on my transmission even though other shops said my transmission that they were supposed to be fixed completely, after charging me their max quote, still slips. I promise you these people do not have any integrity nor compassion. They work on your vehicle without your permission and expect you to pay them before you are able to take your car. No joke!! You would think they would feel compassion towards someone they charged the maximum quote to, for reastoring my transmission, but since they do not want to have to work on it again, refuse to work on it because I said I had a hard time trusting them since they are not trying to take care of me. Literally, on audio record and all, this is the only reason Greg gave me to void my warranty after only three months of 18 months warranty. I plead my position and as soon as he asked me a question and I responded I didn't have full trust in them and hoped I could expect more, he yelled and told me to get out of his shop. If I could post the recording I would, but as a person of high character, I feel obligated to make sure others know that if you choose to trust this shop you are making a big mistake. From them not being accountable regarding their lack of communication, to their effort to fix things that do not need it, to literally replacing parts and charging without asking, this shop should not be in business. Now I have to go through more time off to settle this in court. I could give more details, but I will choose to stop taking up more of my precious time regarding this so called shop. This may seem unbelievable, but this isn't a post out of bitterness, but facts. I plan on getting all court costs and transmission costs back and having the place that grants the transmission license, largely fine or revoke their license. I'm just glad they finally made this review option available because it wasn't available before. I could see why.

I have been coming to this shop for about 5 years now. The owner is very knowledgeable and has always been very helpful. All the employees have been friendly each time that I have come in. I have thought that the prices have always been very fair. They have always let me know if there were other things that I should keep my eye on in the future without pushing me to get things repaired that I didn't need. I have even gone in there with something that I thought was probably bad and they could have just "fixed it" and charged me for this, but they advised me that this was a normal condition and did not require repair. Overall a very stand up business.
