I am new to the area and needed a few things fixed along with an inspection. I found these guys to be very accommodating, professional, reasonable and NICE! I would recommend them to a friend or family member anytime.

This review is solely based off of one experience. Because why wouldn't I get a flat tire shortly before a blizzard was due to come into town?
I had convinced myself that I would be fine using my donut instead of a tire for a few days, since I live within spitting distance of my job. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) my boss found out that this was my plan, and threatened my job (probably not really) if I did not get a new tire before work the next day since there was a massive blizzard coming in that night. This meant I had to find a new tire the next morning and I had to give a place about a two hour window to get me a tire and put it on.
The first place I called was Bob Wilson's Gulf. I told them my tire size, and they said they had them in stock. When I asked if it would be possible for me to come down right away to get it changed.. they said no problem! I literally had a new tire on my car within 30 minutes of making my phone call. Such a lifesaver.
I did find it a little strange that the guy began working on changing my tire while I was still in the vehicle! Instead of giving me a verbal warning, he just started jacking up my car. But still, a lifesaver. I was done 15 minutes after I pulled into the parking lot, and the price was reasonable. Thank you so much!

I have taken my car here twice, once for an oil change and the second time for inspection. Both times I was treated with respect, the quoted price is the price I paid! There are no surprises here. The staff is friendly and professional. The dealership was always trying to add things that I didn't need. At Bob Wilson's Gulf, they don't push unnecessary work on you. I am definitely bringing my car back here whenever I need service.

Recently moved into the area and came here recently for a state inspection, fluid changes, and tire rotation. Pretty quick service and fair pricing. A mechanic you can trust and rely upon is invaluable and I wouldn't hesitate to come back for regular maintenance needs.

I have been a customer of Bob Wilson's Gulf since I moved to the area in Jan 2010. I have had every state inspection handled there for my car as well as my husband's car. They are reliable, honest and trustworthy. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Great place. Wanted them to check a used car I bought. Told them I wasn't doing the work with them. Didn't charge me much to put it up on the loft and give me the full run down. Didn't make me wait or come back. Great place and if I wasn't gonna do the work myself, I'd totally trust them.

Bob Wilson's Gulf is more than a gas station - it's your own personal car inspection/filling station where the staff knows you by name (of course...because they smile as if they were at your birth) and pumps your gas without hesitation.
Want to leave your car overnight for a little bit of handy work like that pesky state emissions test? No problem. The folks at Bob Wilson will gladly take your keys and call you promptly when your vehicle is Pennsylvania state-road ready.
Speedy, smiley and sweet...anything less is unacceptable.

These guys are top notch!! I have been a customer for many years. They get the job done and where else in today's business can you interface directly with the owner. Quality work and no surprises. Went here to get my 1996 Chevy inspected (a POS). After I dropped it off, he called me about 3 hours later to say that nothing was wrong and I could pick it up. He gave me a summary of stuff that I might want to have looked at, but no pressure on actually fixing it. Highly recommended. It's a good, no BS auto shop.

went in for an oil change and a checkup on my car before i make a cross country drive. i have 100,000 miles on my car and wanted to make sure it would be okay for the drive. they told me i should be fine to make the drive but suggested that i get the air filter and battery replaced. they were very straight forward and got the job done quickly

Do not trust this place. Like all the other negative reviews say, they do work to your vehicle without relaying to you first the cost, the actual work needed, and your options. You are left to question whether or not the work was even required. They did work to my vehicle without my consent, and when I told them I was going to take it someplace else, they made up an excuse that my car wasn't "drive-able" and couldn't leave the lot. Meaning, they did the work without my knowledge, then tried to cover their tracks when I wanted to remove my car from their site. Worst of all, the work that was required was directly related to a state & emissions testing that caused an engine light to go on. The only reason I went here a second time is that I thought they were a trustworthy business and would address their first mistake. They say one thing, and do another; quote one price, demand another. STAY AWAY FROM HERE. The positive reviews are most likely from friends and the negative reviews are all from people they thought they could scam. DO NOT TRUST BOB WILSON. The guy that posted a recent review re: state inspection was probably fine because he's a male and they couldn't take advantage or screw him over the same way in which they do to females. They assume you will go along with what they claim, and this is the exact reason I will only take my car to a dealer from now now.

Called on a Friday needing an oil change and pa state inspection. Got me in the next day very friendly and professional. No repairs are cheap and after googling other prices in the area they were right on the same ballpark. Would recommend them especially if you live in Conshy.

Took my vehicle in for a state inspection. They claimed I needed new brakes all around. I went to change them and noticed there was almost a quarter inch of pad left on all four sets. Took the vehicle back in for the re-inspection without changing them...the guy actually checked all four sets and passed them. So they failed on Friday, but passed on Monday? This place is a joke.
