I have been going to Tec-One now since late summer and I'm very happy I decided to use Blake and his boys services. When I say boys his two sons are employed there.
I have owned two foreign cars-a 1987 BMW 325I and my current vehicle- a 2005 Volvo XC90. What I have learned is that if you have an older foreign car it sooooo pays for you to find a good FOREIGN car specialist. My previous mechanic was very good but I suspect they had only worked on my model once or twice before...if even that.
What you get with Blake is someone that is trustworthy and knowledgeable. He had to "clean up" some work another mechanic did and when I have a question he has an answer or he'll find one.
I am now calling him a genius as to work he just did with my transmission which was stuttering when slowing down after heavy stop-n-go traffic driving. He didn't panic (like I did) and serviced/changed the trans fluid and used an additive which he said he had success with before. After a few hundred miles the car is running like new again.
It's really worth it to find someone that is familiar with your car instead of someone who is a Jack-of-all-trades.

Blake has been my go-to car guy since before he opened Tec-One, i.e. for over twenty years. I had a Mercedes then. The Honda Civics I have had since have been almost too easy for him. The present one has 292,000 mi and has never felt the tow truck's hook. Synthetic oil and B&G transmission flush have particularly helped. Now that Blake's sons work with him, there is rarely a bottleneck regarding appointments.

Blake is probably the most solid mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I bought a pick-up off a friend who lives in NJ, and when I took it to get inspected by Blake, rather than just failing me and charging me for the inspection, he waved the fee and gave me cold hard honest advice. He told me that the work needed wouldn't be worth the money I would have to spend to bring the truck up to pass inspection. Any other garage would have said "it will cost you 3 grand, you should do this." Blake is a guy who is more concerned about his customers than he is his bottom line, and that is why my wife and I will only go to him.

Don't even think about going to this place! Blake the manager whoever it is, can be a racist A**. He acts like he's the only one in the area that fixes foreign cars. I called him twice to get a quote for a repair, but he wouldn't call me back, but wanted me to bring the car and leave it. Clearly, that's not how people do business in this world! Then i visited his shop to the quote, which I regret because he was bloody rude! It was my first time there to get his service and he just told me to take it to another place just after he saw me. He didn't even talk to me. I think he doesn't know how to fix foreign cars. It just boiled my bloody dealing with this guy. I didn't want any trouble so i just walked away from that looser.
This is some low end ghetto repair place. Please take your car somewhere else, you'll be better off than working these ignorant racist people.
He had no respect for his customer! If i wanted to take it to the dealer I wouldn't take my car to this place. He just kicks out his customers if he doesn't like your face. This place needs to be reported for discrimination and not offering service for no reason.
Tec one doesn't even deserve one star! Horrible place! Stay far away form this place

I've been taking my car to Tec-One for 5 years now and have had nothing but top quality service from them. Blake puts his customer's first and truly cares about you, and your car's needs. If you're looking for an honest, no nonsense shop this is your place.

Blake is excellent at diagnosis. He's upfront about what he thinks the problem is based on what I describe, and he's been spot on so far. He then fixes the problem and makes sure there isn't another underlying issue. I was thankful for that when he replaced my A/C condenser -- one of the fans was broken, and his attention to detail meant I wouldn't end up with the same problem (and another costly replacement) in a couple months. The labor is more expensive than some other places based on his experience, but he doesn't price gouge on parts, so a big repair may even cost less here. Plus, it's totally worth it because he knows what he's doing, and you save in the long run. I know my car is in good hands when it's in the shop at Tec-One. I'll be taking my car problems to Blake, big or small, for the foreseeable future.

I am very sorry to hear you feel this way Taylor I have always tried to be top notch give the best service always. For the past 13 or 15 years I have given your family the best in auto repair and service. I find it almost unthinkable that one problem in all those year (something that had nothing to do with us) And not giving us a chance to look into is really kind of not fair.I would like to think that everybody gets a second chance to make things right... bet of luck in the future to you and your family. Oh and p.s. In 19 years in business only 1 bad review That has to tell you something think about it

My family and I gave Tec-One Motors our business since before I could drive. Blake always delivered when we brought our cars in for inspection, oil changes and everything else both big and small. Unfortunately my family and I will never give our business to them again. Blake's son was contracted by my mother to detail her car, which he does at home off the clock. As soon as she got home she noticed a huge scrap on the back bumper and that the strip where the car door shuts had been ripped out of the screws. When she went back to ask about what happened, Blake in so many words accused my mother of lying. He told my mom to her face he would have to check the security tapes because people in the past had made similar claims. The damage was clearly from the car detail job. The whole time Blake's son hid from her in the back. Blake basically all of a sudden become flippant and combative towards my mother who has been a customer of his for decades. He swears his son would never damage anything without being forthcoming. Blake's unprofessional behavior has lost him some long time customers. Blake will come through for you when you need your car tuned up properly, but he has no loyalty towards his customers and will burn you he has to without thinking twice.
