Normally I do not give reviews on businesses unless I had an extremely great experience or unless someone asks. But I really feel that I need to warn everyone out there about this mechanic, especially women. The inspection was up on my vehicle, but the check engine light kept coming on and holding up the inspection. My usual mechanic was out of town, and needing the light off so I could get the inspection done ASAP, I called this business since it is close to me and explained my situation and was told that I could drop my car off at night to be fixed. I left a large note on the dash explaining breifly what I wanted, but the FIRST thing I wrote was "Call me before you do ANYTHING". The next day however, I got a call from the mechanic telling me that my car was ready to be picked up, and that the charge was $-- for a failed inspection. I explained that I did not want them to inspect it, merely find out why the check engine light was coming on and to fix it if possible. I asked him if he at least fixed the light, and he told me no, so I asked "then why did you try to inspect it? As soon as you saw that the check engine light was on, you knew that you couldn't go any further so why do I have to pay for an inspection when it is not the service I asked for? I knew it wouldn't pass inspection, you were supposed to call me first as the note stated and then fix the check engine issue". He completely avoided the question, then got belligerant and argued that he did hook it up to his diagnostics to read the codes, and he told me that it COULD be an air flow problem making the light come on. But I was still responsible to pay for the failed inspection. Needless to say I argued, but I had to pay the bill in order to get my car. I will never go back again, and I do not recommend anyone taking their vehicles here, these people are crooks.
